No SIM / No WIFI: qcn/xqcn files needed to restore IMEI/MAC - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Hello All,
November update... It took a whole time to get my phone booting again but I don't have SIM or WIFI anymore.
I think my IMEI's are gone, even as MAC for WIFI.
I tried recovery image (that's what solved the boot problem).
I took backups but some parts seems to be corrupted so I can't recover from there.
Does someone have the (x)qcn available for flashing over QPST (or even over TWRP to change afterwards over QPST)?
I found different versions online but I think it's checked against model number; mine is: M1804D2SG (SI doesn't work)
Yes... I will change your IMEI!
Thanks!

Did you try to flash older build of stock rom?

Flash via MiFlash Tool, that worked for me

MiFlash tried,
I tried most recent version that was available, but yes that's an older version.
The corrupted data isn't even in the recovery rom.

Does not work unfortunately, just tried. In that topic it's more about sensors etc. not working.

Try flashing global firmware via twrp.

Also tried without errors but problem not solved.

Please someone upload.
My phone is still bricked :crying:

How may I help you? Give me instructions. Also specifically tell me how to remove my original Imei in that file. I'll then upload the files.

[Q] Help needed, stuck after updating firmware (emergency call)

Hi,
Well my device which is S5 mini g800f working fine, since I have changed the firmware which was old like build on july so I tried to installed latest, but now there is emergency call showing, also I have tried manually and automatically to register on the network but it says unable to register to the (---network). I did it coz my device was not showing LTE network. However my sim supports the 4g and was working on S4 i9505. I have searched on Google and look out many threads on XDA but no success until now.
The biggest mistake was I didn't looked the firmware which was already there and was running with 3g support. I have tried these EUR-G800FXXU1ANL1-20141226162921, SER-G800FXXU1ANG1-20140709112536, MAT-G800FXXU1ANI3-20141218172328. Then I have installed Custom Lollipop but no success was there too.
So now any pro's here who can understand my problem ? My imei is showing, is there any procedure where I can put the imei and it will let me know what was installed on stock :crying:
Sorry for being noobish..
Please any buddy give me suggestions that what should I do ? Or should I look in the specific section of XDA forums ?

Its is mentioned mate what I have written, I said my imei is showing that by dialing *#06# I can see it, because there is a problem where the efs folder corrupted or gone you cant see imei or imei appears to be in these digits 00000 especially by installing custom roms. Anyways my only motive is that I know the imei and how ever I can see it too, so is there any procedure where I can put the imei to the website and see what was installed on stock. Because I dont have the box so I dont know which firmware was there when I installed another rom to get LTE, because it was working properly as I said in my earlier post.
Problem is due the baseband I am pretty sure which is not matching, this is the reason because I cant connect to the network---error msg (Unable to connect).

The baseband firmware is included in the firmware packages that are available on sammobile (.tar.md5 files). If you flash the firmware package with Odin, also the baseband firmware (contained in modem.bin) will be flashed.
If you have problems with a newly flashed stock firmware that were not present with the original firmware it might be because of one of the following reasons:
You flashed the wrong firmware. I don't think that the version name of the original firmware is stored somewhere. Instead check sammobile for the correct one: select the correct phone model and your country. EUR, SER (for Russia), MAT are country codes, choose the correct one for your country, the search function on sammobile will help you with that. You can also try Kies for restoring the firmware. Maybe that is able to determine the correct firmware according to the IMEI or some other information stored on the phone.
Maybe your EFS partition was changed and corrupted. The EFS partition is the partition that contains the IMEI and other information like calibration files that are specific for your device. If any of the files in this partition is damaged, the phone might not behave correctly. If you flash another firmware the EFS partition normally is not changed.
Your hardware is defect.
I guess that you simply flashed the wrong ROM. Otherwise the problem will be hard to fix.

Flashing an official ROM should not mess with your EFS. What do you mean you lost your GSM network? Have you checked your APN?

The ROM I was using was flashing with cloned IMEI after flashing my N920C with fresh version of official ROM the GSM network is gone and when I install my Sim Card it is shows only "emergency call". I checked while the IMEI is gone or not and saw it is still there. I need a solution for activate GSM network and see GSM signal. Some of my friends said that my ./efs file is corrupted so I need patched ROM that can fix my ./efs file automatically after flashing. Is there any why to recover it ?

I understand your situation now. As far as I know there is not a way to recover your EFS. I could be wrong. I have heard of others getting their EFS back after flashing official firmware. You may be out of pocket on a repair. Good luck to you.

I am sure Samsung can fix it. You will have to pay though. You could also try searching for efs recovery because you might get lucky. I do not know a whole lot about it but from what I have seen, if flashing official firmware does not fix it you are out of luck. I am not sure about future releases of ROMs that may fix it.

Thanks for your replay. I fixed my phone and its working now. I did these steps:
1- Untar the official ROM.
2- Delete Modem file from the rom.
3- Re-tar the ROM.
4- Flashing using Odin.
5- Fixing EFS by repairing it using z3x box.
Thanks again :fingers-crossed:

Optimus L90 Unable to Root, Unable to boot into recovery mode

Hi
I have gone through the forums and can't seem to find solution for my problem with my Optimus L90 phone.
I have recently flashed the CM13 on my phone without any errors but below are the issues that I am facing
1. No cellular network signal after inserting SIM card.
2. I read in a different forum that this could happen due to using a wrong version of TWRP, so installed a newer version 2.8.7.0 but things worse.
3. Now I am not able to boot into recovery mode and phone just stays idle with the LG logo screen and few commands appearing like fastboot_iniy() and udc_start().
4. I have tried hard reset and soft reset and both are not successful.
5. I cannot root my phone either. Tried all ways like towelroot, purpledrake, lg root by avicoh etc but in vain
Now my phone, even though has a latest CM version I cannot use it for anything else.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
No SIM is hardly related to TWRP, probably you needed a different bootstack (there is a thread about it).
On CM you don't need anything to root, it's already rooted just not visible to common users, you need to activate Developer Options (it's also explained elsewhere)
Finally, if you cannot reach recovery but still can boot CM13 simply use adb, Flashfy or Hashr to flash another version or TWRP. 2.8.7 is kinda old and not recommended for Marshmallow, you can try 3.0.2 by SlimShady or DarkBlue version from shoxxy's thread.
Thanks for the reply, let me try options you have specified and get back if I am still facing issues

I was able to unblock my phone finally and loaded the stock ROM but the phone is still isn't recognizing cellular network . I am on T-MOBILE. I have tried to insert different SIM, turned off wifi calling but still the phone is not catching any cellular network.
[lfom]: you indicated earlier that a different bootstack might be needed. I am not that knowledgeable about bootstack so can you help me through this or point me to different thread where users might have a similar issue.
Sorry, I meant to say unbrick above

Hi,
I followed the steps mention in the above thread to change the bootstack and was able to complete it without any issues, however the problem still persists and my phone is not recognizing the SIM and does not catch the cellular network.
Previously I used to use this phone with my t-mobile number and after I took a new phone haven't been using it for sometime. I want to sell this phone and was trying to ensure that it works fine and thats when I saw that the phone is not catching any cellular networks.
Please help. Let me know if you need any other details to better diagonize the problem.

You didn't say what model you have, maybe you flashed the wrong bootstack for your model (hardware version)? Be very careful, you can hart brick your device, and if it's a D415 it's very hard to unbrick. I'd suggest that first you make sure what model you have by removing the battery and looking in the label below, it says what model you have. Then, use LG Flash Tool to flash stock ROM (KDZ) to latest KitKat, then flash Lollipop or use OTA to update to latest version. The only requirements are that you make sure what model you have and flash the corresponding version, and the phone is still able to enter download mode.

[lfom]: thank you for responding. My phone model is LG-D415 . Actually my phone was bricked but I was able to get into download mode and then I used the L90 Hardbrick tool to flash stock ROM (KDZ) to latest kitkat like you have specified above. Then with the OTA update I was able update it to latest lollipop. Then I followed this forum below to to change the bootstack to KK 10C version as the issue specified in the below thread was similar to mine.

Image of the label inside my phone attached.
Do you think I should have used the LG flash tool to flash stock ROM. Should I repeat the steps with the LG flash tool ?
Thank you again for helping me on this.
Do you see your IMEI in the about phone page? Does it match the one in the label? Maybe when you bricked you've lost the phone's IMEI, and you can't get it back just flashing ROM...

Yes I checked and it matches. There two fields IMEI which has the number and then there is another field which says IMEI SV and it has a value of 02 in it.

Simcard not detected

Hi,
I have a n9200 Chinese version of the note 5.
I recently tried to flash a custom ROM on the device because I wanted to try nougat, but seems like most of the stable ROMs don't boot on the n9200 or something not working (2nd sim slot e.g.).
I decided to do a restore in TWRP of my stock rom.
However, the SIMcard isn't detected anymore.
"Insert SIM card" message appears if try to click on 'mobile data'.
I did a full restore of the rom, including radio, so shouldn't everything be as before?
I did also try to flash other ROMs, but the problem remains..
Do You have any advise of what to do?
Is it worth trying to flash the modem in Odin?
I assumed that it restores the modem if I do I restore of the radio in TWRP.
Ok. So I have done some research, and I came up with two possible causes to this problem..
1) I bought my phone (n9200) region unlocked, could the lock have been reactivated when I loaded a new rom?
2) I did a back up of my stock /efs partition before flashing anything.
However, I cannot find any .nv_data.bin in the efs folder... Could this be a problem? Are there phones without this file?
Would be grateful for any help. I have tried flashing different stock firmwares through odin, but the problem remains...
You should try ODIN flashing the stock firmware you were using when you first flashed TWRP. Bringing it back completely to stock including the stock recovery might set things straight. If this does not work you might need the PIT file for your device for flashing in ODIN. Best of luck.
Download the latest firmware for your device and flash it via the latest version of Odin. I had a similar issue where I flashed a custom ROM and lost service completely. I simply flashed back to complete stock. I got my stock firmware from sammobile, may take you a while but it'll be worth it cause you can then keep that file and always have a stock backup handy. Do it all the time.
Help plz

Yeah, I actually solved it
It never worked to restore with Odin. SIM card was never recognized.
I did however download an official Samsung application (think it was smart switch).
I could do a factory restore of my n9200 through that application and its fixed the "no SIM issue".
i hope it will work for you too.

URGENT: Re-installed Stock Firmware (update-6.0.1) - NO NETWORK ACCESS

Hey, everyone, I need some help:
On my SM-920G, I re-installed stock 6.0.1 (last official update before 7.0) and, now, I don't have access to the network (says emergency calls only). IMEI and serial number are both intact. What can I do to regain access to my network? I know it's not a motherboard problem because it happened after flashing stock software. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.

Did you install the right firmware for your region? You should check that or flash right modem file. If all else fails use kies to restore phone to factory or flash a custom rom and check if everything works.

I don't think there is any risk of losing IMEI if you flash stock with odin, but if you have root then firstly take an efs backup, just in case, efs is where your IMEI is stored.

If you have root then in the root folder you will find a folder called efs. Just copy it and save it to your SD card or your computer. If you have custom recovery then you can save it from the backup option but I guess that won't help much if you flash stock with odin then it will remove your custom recovery. There are also some apps on the play store but I never used them, I use the first method.

Yeah, I'm just on stock, so that won't work - but, now I have another issue:
So, here's what happened... I got my IMEI changed, and all was good. But, then I realized that my phone was rooted. I tried to flash magisk to have magisk installed, and then my phone wouldn't boot up. Afterwards, I flashed stock to restore official device status, but when I did so, I realized that my network wasn't working. My IMEI (clean IMEI) is still showing, but I DO NOT have any access to my network and can't search the web or anything. What could be the issue, and what is the easiest way to fix it?

Did you flash the correct firmware? The same region as it was when it was working? Flashing a stock rom from a different region sometimes causes this and you need to flash the right one or at least the 'modem' file of the right one to get it working. Or you could use Samsung Kies software to completely recover your phone to its original state when it was bought. Also, What do you mean by saying changed IMEI? Did it not show it correctly or got corrupted and you fixed it? or you changed it completely to a different one from the original?
If you have a good IMEI just call your provider and give them your IMEI and your sim card numbers.

CodeNameRedNeck,
So, I have a good IMEI number, but I cannot register the network service. It tells me "Emergency Calls Only" even though it shows a signal in the top right hand corner. Are you saying that I just need to call TIGO (I am in Bolivia) and register my IMEI number as well the SIM card numbers - or, could it be that there is an even deeper issue? Also, which SIM card numbers are you talking about? Thank you, my friend.

Or you could use Samsung Kies software to completely recover your phone to its original state when it was bought. Also, What do you mean by saying changed IMEI? Did it not show it correctly or got corrupted and you fixed it? or you changed it completely to a different one from the original?

Mufrad,
I completely changed the IMEI to a clean one because, apparently, when I traded for the Note 5 (I am in Bolivia, and that's what people do here), the original IMEI was put on the blacklist. So, now I have a completely different IMEI that is clean (unreported), but I do not have any network access at all - furthermore, when I access the menu using *#0011#, it says "IMEI Status: NG" under IMEI Status. I'm not sure if it's a software problem? I have a friend looking at the phone, but I do not have any idea how it's going because he still hasn't been able to fix it.

When my son switched from an iphone to Android we had to call AT&T and give them those numbers before it worked. I had an Xperia phone that I had to do the same with. There are apps that can read your sim card number. It should also be printed on your sim card.
