Realme X2 Pro LED Notifications - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello all
I just ordered the x2 pro eu version from the official website.
But I'm afraid I read somewhere that there is no LED notifications on this phone, that would be very annyionning for me
Is it true ?

Hi, my unit is kinda different too, but I think my problem is the same as yours.
I bought mine from CHINA, so it has CHINA ROM.
My notifications from the apps that I have Does Not show. I have tried some suggested solutions but its not really working.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is there a notification light?

Hi community, does anyone know if the new Mi8 models have a notification light? If so is it single color (white only) or multi-colored?
Thanks in advance!

Notification light is always multicolored and can be changed according to notification or app wise. With miui rom or other roms too. Noob question indeed
don't call it noob question if you have no clue. Xiaomi equipped their latest smartphones with white colored LED only ...

It can be customised. Every latest phone of xiaomi has it. Just use search button in settings to change colors of it.

Mi6 has a white only LED notification , so it's a valid question

Xiaomi phones since Mi 6 only have a white LED. And this time Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE don't seem to have any LED.
Silly answer

It's the other way around, the question is indeed well posed, because in the last 12 months models Xiaomi released the light has been white. Everyone knows that
Seems TAJ_Rocks a.k.a. The Pro doesn’t know it.
Anyway I don’t think they will have LED notification which is sad.
mi6: the led is multicolor but it is blocked by the software to only white (hate this copying of bad features)

I guess you guys really dont know anything about xiaomi phones. Im in china from past 6 years so i know better than most of about xiaomi.
Then let us see an image of your device (if younger than 1 year, obviously) with a led light different from white and/or let us see a fix as stated in your screenshot, otherwise it would be nothing further than speech and speculations

Its not speech or speculation just try to open up or tear down the phone (which you will not be able to do obviously) in any mobile service centre to find out the rgb led in all xiaomi devices. They have just locked it one white color for more battery purpose according to xiaomi.
And by the way I have natrium device which is one year old obviously. Im not owner of xiaomi company so fix hasn't released for public
once again ... show us a Xiaomi device (younger than 1 year) with illuminated multi-colored LED... pics or it didn't happen.

While I apreciate the news that the LED HW is multicolor, xiaomi blocks it, although they have released the kernel sources, that post its over 9 months old, and no one have figured it out how to unlock more colors(at lesat for MI 6), so the OP question is valid.
and the answer is the LED its white only (although hardware supports more colors).

first the information about the white led was about Mi 6, second the color you've seen was the infrared LED ... it's not visible for human eyes

and if it was right from the earpiece then its not the led but the infrared sensor which is visible in motion recordings

Ask Any Questions

So instead of making separate threads, I thought it might be helpful making this thread to ask questions.
I'll start of: How long does it take for the global version to go on sale after the Chinese one?
I current have a OnePlus 5T but I would like to upgrade to this phone (Mi 8) I was wondering where can I buy this phone and ship to the US? I know there's not market or anything. But I don't want to to pay double price either from a third party.
Thanks!

Hi guys. Since this is a Q&A thread, i'm wondering:
I bought my Mi 8 today, china version. Will I still be able to flash global software on it, or just the chinese firmware?
And when it comes to flashing AOSP, will there be any difference?
Thanks a lot.
I'm not a noot in flashing, I've had Nexus for the last couple years, and i'm quite confident with it. Just not aware if it will be same rom for both versions or not.

hello. does the samsung amoled screen of mi 8 deteriorates? easily? is there a way to prevent it? im having second thoughts of buying it because of it. i hoping it will remain same quality after 3 years like ips.
- Does someone (especially from germany) tried WifiCalling? Does it work?
- Does someone tried a USB Power Delivery 3.0 Charger, how fast (how many watts) does it charge?

Do you mean any form of burn in? I have it since 12/06 and no burn in at all. (what a surprise )
I think it will not have much troubles with burn in, because it has full screen gestures (so no buttons which can burn in).
The navigation bar eventually can burn in, but I think that will be not annoying.
does it have fingerprint gesture? always listening ok google?

Mi 8 is released in hong kong, and reading the site, it suggests that the nfc wallet can be used for services and specifically mentions google pay. Does this mean that there is a global rom now for mi 8, as google pay requires google services and afiak no chinese rom has these installed?
https://www.mi.com/hk/mi8/
I'm guessing it doesn't ship with Google Play. Is this hard to install? Do you need to unlock bootloader for the eventual global rom?

Google Services arent hard to install. You just need the Google Installer Apk which installs you all services, without the need off unlocking bootloader or root the devices before.
I dont know if you need an unlocked bootloader for the global rom - I would say no but i can be wrong.

How to remove Black Bar in PUBG

Title says it. In the screenshot you can see the left side where the notch is, the screen is black. I noticed the Chinese version of Pubg doesn't have this. I wonder if the global version can stretch all the way
*EDIT* with an update to MIUI (mine is Chinese), the problem was fixed
*Either that or PuBG update fixed it but I don't remember getting a pubg update
NVM, the latest update where the notch can be unsmoothened seems to have fixed it

Oh great. Let's hope they will release it soon for eaa global.

Or you can switch to xiaomi.eu and have the benefits of bouth global and Chinese ROMs and more. LINK
You will need to unlock and install TWRP thought. No need to root and you will not void the warranty from what I read.
A tutorial HERE
I know yes. I allrdy applied for unlock 3 days ago!

I really need some understanding. Wdym by "benefits" of Chinese version?
Does .eu have proper notifications? Because in Chinese notifications seem like a complete train wreck. Sometimes they show sometimes not. Some make noise while others don't. Particularly, I use Muslim Pro and the adhan never plays. Only vibrations.
If I remember correctly, it worked fine on global on my OnePlus 5T before.
Is Xiao AI replaced with Google?
Does the theme use Chinese or English themes? (If I know correct, the Chinese themes are better)
I saw all the extra features in Xiaomi.eu. But small things in Chinese bug the heck out of me. Like notifications not working properly or showing on lockscreen. Xiao AI, Chinese language here and there. Improper Google Integration(like Casting is broken) and many other small things which I don't recall. I'm very worried if those carry over to Xiaomi.eu
But then I don't think I have much of a choice anyway since if I heard correct, the 8GB doesn't support global ROM or something. So I might just be left with Xiaomi.eu.
But I just have 188 hours to unlock . Which i think falls on April 9th

After the update it's now more like the iPhone X with the options being moved a bit away from the curves so nothing is cut off. Also makes it easier on the fingers to reach things.
But most importantly, no black bar(s)

General I have just picked up my 11 Ultra

For some reason, as soon as I changed my Mi 10 Ultra to the xiaomi.eu version it lost 5g, and others reported the same, so slightly concerned about the same happening again.
Yep I lost mine as well thought I was the only one. I've tried going back to stock chinese rom but my phone just gets stuck at endless bootloops even doing all the cache wipes. This time I may go far as rooting stock rom and deleting all chinese apps or disabling. I had perfect 5g

And how tight of a fit is that transparent silicone case? Is it hard to get off?
Have fun with it!

Redmi 9 EU 4/64 screen flickering, and vertical lines on screen

I searched online and can't find a solution to the problem, so I was just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue...
