ColorOS 6.1 RMX1991_11_A.14 update - Realme X2 Guides, News, & Discussion

If your phone has locked bootloader, you can get OTA update of ColorOS with December security patch.
Download size is 146MB.
For non-mainland China residents VPN service is needed for initial update detection. When the update is detected, no VPN needed for downloading.
As VPN service you can use Android app Panda VPN free, in which after installation select any Mainland China VPN server and choose free option (you will have to watch one video Ad and then you have 1 hour time usage).
Edit: Link to the full package in ozip file (2.33 gb)
https://download.c.realme.com/osupdate/RMX1991_11_OTA_0140_all_RfH5a5t2Kegi.ozip

well im using panda vpn and its connected but the phone do not detect any updates!!!

JUst downloading A 14 after using VPN by Panda.
Hope it works without any issue.
P.D. downloading 252 -Mb, not 146 Mb (maybe cause jumping from 12 to 14 instead 0f 13 to 14)

Despite using panda vpn...due to high ping the phone cannot detect the new software update... could you kindly provide us with the A14 update firmware link

Working

Try using "China-Shenzhen-1"

Wow, sounds like the conspiracy theory was right after all...

The thing is not in the system/boot or other partitions that are updated, but in the change that happens during unlocking bootloader. So you need to lock and then unlock bootloader when your system is A.13 or newer.
Please be extremely accurate and cautious preparing the phone for the locking process: you have to have 100% stock contents of all partitions. Otherwise you will get a brick. See *Back to Stock howto*

If it is bootable, I will release a new TWRP build.
Hmm, keep getting ”Could not install" from the India (IN) variant. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.
Anyone successfully install it and if so, with which region?

You should flash H8266, because the H8276 is dualsim, too.
H8216 would work fine, but the second sim is dead.
The external sdcard maybe, too.

nah, U.S. but I grew up in Minnesota, which is close to Canada.
IN doesn't have problems with update speed, it's within hours of DE, but this is the second time the OTA has continuously failed. Though other times it's been fine.
OK, I see you're cheating and not getting it OTA.
Flashing another region's firmware though shouldn't require a full reset, as long as one removes the user data sin file from the folder.

Which allows custom ROMs and twrp, which allows the DRM fix.

Someone told me, that he successfully booted the old aosp build.
So I made one with the newest sources.

Maybe you need the OEM file from the last build.

Well the 8.1 is not much of a usable one, i'll try the 9.0 after the build is complete, the touchscreen is not working as expected, it's picked up as a touchpad the UI is navigated with mouse, it seems that the graphics acceleration is not working (gralloc?), brightness is not adjustable. RIL works(sort of), calls work (mic produces robotic sound), Data works. ADB is not working and Developer Options menu crashes the settings app, Sleep not working, device gets quite hot over time(PM?).
Sound works. Camera is not accessible(just gray screen with the navbar at the bottom) It's fast as hell, though... That works SDM845 (rock)

Android Q DP3 available for 6/6T

Download links : https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/android-q-developer-preview-3-for-oneplus-6-and-6t.1076551/
I have two apps that don't work so far: Fallout shelter (crash) and RSA (thinks phone is in airplane mode even with a SIM card in and WiFi connected)
Edit: Nest also doesn't seem to work all that well, I was able to adjust the thermostat but it crashed while trying to see the cameras.
So far DP3 seems stable enough to test the OS and some applications but probably not quite ready yet for daily use on a main phone.
For those, who is interested in converted T-Mobile - no, it won't boot "HW missmatch"
Who ever has flashed DP3, I got a favor to ask...
Could you dump all the partitions and upload them somewhere. I want to see what actually trips the error message on T-Mobile. Maybe we can use the DP1 firmware with the DP3 system pulls. You never know...
But yeah, if someone doesn't mind and has some time to spend... Please do!

Not gonna run it... Need 100% functionality. I just wanted to see the minor tweaks to the UI. I like the smaller changes in the status.
I was going to but seeings how I got it booting, not gonna bother. Also, its one of the critical partitions that causes the change and I have not been able to flash those.
My theory is that the mismatch is caused by a critical partition. Buyt going one at a time is just too time consuming

Manual update failed. WW firmware and Fingerprint

Hi all,
I have downloaded UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-17.0210.2001.60-1.1.97-user.zip from the Asus website and placed the file at the root of the disk. Reboot and I'm getting notified there is an update, click update and it informs me the update failed straight away. Both the firmware and fingerprint have been flashed to WW. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do it manually with the RAW version...
I'm in A10 stable but with high consumption of Google Services. I will reflash for clean install...
Edit: did it and it was more or less the same. But it seemed to be something related to MagiskHide. I hided in Magiskhide com.android.blablablablalbal.unstable (just that) and it was fine
I am already on WW Rom and fingerprint WW too but safety net fails
Hi Team,
I just bought ROG 2 tencent and it came loaded with WW rom and WW fingerprint as details below.
Issue- it Passed safety net and everything works fine including netflix, youtube.
Question: is there anything need to do before manually updating to A10 ?

Fingerprint: asus/ww_I001D/ ASUS_I001_1:9/PKQ1. 190414.00116.0631.1910.44-0

General MIUI 12 EEA Stable ROM V12.0.9.0.RKBEUXM

... did you know 12.0.9.0 for EEA devices has been published?
Link to announcement: https://c.mi.com/thread-3629706-1-0.html
Recovery/Updater ZIP: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.9.0.RKBEUXM/miui_VENUSEEAGlobal_V12.0.9.0.RKBEUXM_488d4eb5c0_11.0.zip
Fastboot: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.9.0....EUXM_20210307.0000.00_11.0_eea_a9dcd237a8.tgz
Do not update if you use a third party launcher:
You can't close app in recents apps, when you swipe up to kill an app, it just crash and goes back to homescreen and the app isn't killed.
I'm done with this trash smartphone, Xiaomi is too awful, MIUI is badly made, full of bugs, awful battery life. So overrated imo.
I don't received it yet. Wish region we can find it ?
strange cos I do not have received it and it's nowhere on Mi website
The V12.0.9.0.RKBEUXM is only released to {Croatia, Greece, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic & Slovakia}
Just flash flash_all_except_storage.bat (fastboot version) on top of V12.0.3.0.RKBEUXM and everything seams ok.
Dirty flash worked, my data is safe
for me flash_all_except_storage.bat was not working. All the time claimed "Antirollback check error". But I'm on 1 and the image is also on 1. Anyway - so I just copied the .zip on the internal storage and did a local update. All working fine - no issues (bootloader still locked - 4 days to go and was on V12.0.3.0RKBEUXM before).

You need to go to settings and click on the MIUI-Version Logo. There you see the screen with your actual version and it checks for update. Just click there 10 times on the Logo. Then it will activate the function. Click on the 3 dots on the top right and you will see some extra entries. One of it is to select which update to install. There you select the file which you have copied onto internal memory.

I did that to rollback from MIUI 12 version 21.3.3 with no issues, but using flash_all that clears storage.
Is it normal that restarting the phone also reset battery stat?

been testing features and as i can see the rom is overall more smooth and polished, Im in th US on Tmobile and still getting 5g, banking apps work, google pay works, no more issues with needing to go into every app to enable notifications, any other questions let me know! now only waiting for root method and TWRP

Did you have to do anything else special to get gpay and banking apps to work or they worked right from the start?
Congrats, great to hear it worked out nicely for you ! May I ask which the latest CN version was ? Was ist 12.0.13 or 12.5.2 ?

Xiaomi.EU OTA requires functional TWRP - so presently: no ... you need to install updates via fastboot as well

after alot of mixed info floating around I decided to take the risk, heres how I did it.
updated device to latest version via updater
unlocked bootloader via miFlash
Downloaded stable 12.5 rom https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv12/
rebooted into fastboot and ran the windows bat file in the command promt

once you unlock bootloader it will wipe all data and auto reboot, once it loaded up i turned off device and got into fastboot, then follow steps i listed. Profit!

i was surprised too, but i just ordered starbucks with gpay and it works flawless. not sure if unlocked BL it self triggers safetynet fail as there is no way far as i know to currentyl ROOT which i could see tripping it, but then there magisk which would solve that

It also enabled the toggled for WiFi Calling on AT&T as well. Which I then turned on and selected to prefer mobile data as I don't really care about WiFI Calling.
