System crash. - Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus Questions & Answers

Hello, I'm experiencing systematic device crash. Sometimes it happens 1 time in a day or 3-5 times. Display turning black with working backlight and then turning off in 1 minute. Or display layering with glitches then the same, turning off. I tried MIUI 11, HAVOC OS 2.8, LINEAGE 17. Always the same. What it could be?

Backlight bug

Hi all,
i have the Kaiser for a week, and was thinking the batterry autonomy isn't especially amazing..
Then doing some research, i've found out that that despite the backlight setting set to be turned off after 30 sec, it was NOT turned off.
Switching setting to 1 min doesn't help either.
Setting it to 10 sec DOES work, the backlight turns off after 10 secs, BUT turns back ON after various seconds (sometimes +/- 11 secs, sometimes after 21 seconds...), then 10 secs later again off, etc etc... (cycle forever).
I did removed from the today screen both SPB Mobile shell and HTC Home (today screen = blank). But the problem is still there...
so the questions :
1) Does anybody experience that (it took me a full week of use to note this... can you try it on your Kaiser ?)
2) Any idea/solution to fix this ?
Best Regards,
Mike.
Just letting you know, that mine works as it should.
I dont have that bug .... but another bug:
After soft-reset, the battery backlight will be set to 10 seconds.
No clue yet why that happen.
When having issues like that try a hard reset and do not use a back up just set everything back up by hand. I found that most apps still are not ready for WM6 just yet since it really is a new OS even though we have had it for what seems like a very long time now.

When you set the back light to turn off, it doesn't actually turn off, instead it drops to minimum brightness. If you are in darkish room and so have the backlight set to minimum anyway, it looks like it isn't going off.
This is by design for Windows Mobile 6 devices, the Toshiba G900 was exactly the same. I can only guess it is because the screens are not trans-reflective, so they dim to the lowest level so you can still make out what is on the display and can tell it is still on, rather than in standby. This makes the behaviour seem similar to those moving from trans-reflective displays as while the backlight could go out completely, you could still make out what was on the display.

Touchscreen Bug

I am noticing a weird touchscreen bug with every ROM I have tried (CM10.1, 10.2, 11). I also have used 7 different HD+ and they all have it.
Sometimes, when I am navigating through the tablet, the screen starts not responding correctly. E.g. on the homescreen, it doesn't let me scroll through the homepages, it just moves and then back to the homepage I was on before. In games (e.g. Minecraft PE), I suddenly can't navigate anymore, my touch triggers false actions.
When I turn of the screen and turn it back on, everythings fine. It also just happens maybe once a week.
Has anyone had that problem before?

Random problem - Screen not turning off

Hi,
Since upgrading to Tizen a couple of weeks ago, I've had a couple of occassions where the screen has stayed on and not dimmed or turned off.
I only notice it because I get the low battery warning and think it shouldn't be dead so quickly. I then watch it for a bit and notice that it doens't dim or turn off. Changing the screen timeout from 10s to something else and then back doesn't make any difference.
A reboot lets the screen timeout work as normal again.
I probably looked at the watch a few times whilst it was stuck on and just thought that it had been triggered by the movement sensor.
Anyone else have this problem?
Didn't have this problem under Android (had the watch since November last year)

screen randomly switches itself on

Hi,
My phone has developed this rather annoying habit of switching itself on randomly. The screen lights up for a couple of seconds and then goes black again. Everything else is working fine. Any ideas what is going on? Phone is not rooted and I run stock oxygen os 5.0.8 on android 8.0.0
Disable double tap to wake, see if that fixes it.
If not, you have a software issue. Rogue app or just a bug.
Thanks I'll test that
Alas that didn't work.

A71 screen flickering problems.

I’ve got a 2yr old Galaxy A71 with Android 13 and OneUI 5.0. The screen often flickers. Not always but once or twice a day it will flicker a lot for about 10 or 20 minutes, then go back to normal. I’ve turned the Adaptive Brightness (AB) on and off and the Eye Comfort Shield (ECS) on and off and it doesn’t make any difference. I’ve also restarted the phone multiple times and it doesn’t help. The screen still flickers.
It seems the flickering problems started soon after I updated to Android 13 or OneUI 5.0, but I can’t remember for sure.
Anyway to fix a flickering screen?
It could be a pure coincidence, but I just noticed that the screen flickering problems may be connected to having lots of apps open. I restarted the phone and now only have a few apps open, and the screen is not flickering. Could having lots of open apps cause screen flickering? Maybe too many open apps uses lots of RAM and causes screen problems? Let me know if you think this could or could not cause the flickering problems.
Hi
I'm not sure it's gonna fix this but there's an option in the developer options "Strict mode enabled". Is it disabled?
