Galaxy S Media Server

Does anyone have any issues with battery life drained by media server? I left it on standby last night and it drained 30% of my battery with wifi, gps and 3g off. I went to battery status and saw that it ran for 1h:24m during the night in stand by. I didn't listened to any music and the phone was on vibrate
I'm getting this on the leaked Scandinavian Froyo. No idea what causes it, but very annoying to see the battery get eaten like this!

[Q] PowerAMP and battery consumption on SGS

I absolutely love PowerAMP, but I've noticed that it eats quite a lot battery. Without any album art downloading and scrobbling, my battery drains approximately 6-8 % per hour while using PA.
What kind of consumption-levels do others get?
In idle mode my SGS consumes circa 1 % per hour.
1. Charge battery, get few files into playlist in PA, set to repeat all, hit play, leave for like 8 hours, write down battery %;
2. repeat the same for stock player,
3. compare the results.
For me (sgs 2.2 stock, no other apps), it's a complete match, i.e. same percentage of battery was used for the same files played for same number of hours. Though, PowerAMP was with Eq and Tone enabled.

[Q] Clock app drains power enormously

It;s my second day I have my HTC One. YEstarday I managed around 9 hours with 80% of battery doing pretty much every thing I do during the day. wi-fi and 3G combined, video, youtube streaming, reeding browsing. listening to music etc 50% brightness. However today I noticed battery drain. I was using stop watch for around three hours ...later own I checked battery stats and I was surprised that clock app consumed most of all 52% while the runner was boat browser only 14%. I can't believe that simple clock app could drain battery so badly. I am left with 37% of battery at the moment. What is going on?

[Bluetooth] Does Bluetooth consume more after Kitkat's update?

Hi, i want to know if Bluetooth consume more battery since Kitkat's update
I heavily use my phone through Bluetooth and noticed it consumes more battery with Kitkat, around 15-20%
My battery life is even worse than 4.3 because of BT
After an hal of hour of listening music through BT (local music), Bluetooth and audio players reached about 10-15% in battery history.
That's huge.
I would appreciate any help or useful advice
Thanks

Bluetooth battery drain

Is anyone else getting severe battery drain when listening to music from their bluetooth headphones?
Without listening to music via bluetooth, I can get around 8-10 hours of SOT but once I begin listening to music via bluetooth, i can only get 4 hours.
The battery drain is intense and I don't think it's any other app causing the issue. The battery drains much, much faster on standby when listening to music.
I've searched around and keep seeing answers online about people saying that listening to music via bluetooth shouldn't have too much of an impact on their battery life. However, this ~50% battery decrease is worrying me.
Is anyone else facing this issue? Or does your battery drain at the same speed with and without listening to music via bluetooth?
Just today I noticed my device runs very hot and Bluetooth eats more juice than the screen. I've had the phone for almost two weeks and it's the first time this happens. I'm sure rebooting fixes it but obviously I shouldn't need to do that
No problems here. Could be the player you're using?
When connected once to a device, after disconnect, the Bluetooth logo show like the phone is still connected and drain battery. Simply cut Bluetooth and reactivate it.

I just use spotify... shouldn't be much of an issue right? spotify didn't drain my battery that much on previous phones, the only difference now is that I use bluetooth to listen with this new phone and headphones.
If its not much of a hassle, is it possible for you to tell me a bit more about how you use your bluetooth headphones? What do you do with your headphones on your phone, how long do you use your headphones with your phone and whats the battery drain like?
Thanks!
Don't have any issues using Deezer hardly makes any difference when using wired for battery usage
I listened to Spotify on Bluetooth headphones for a half hour walk to work and the battery stayed at 100%

Do you mind posting screenshots of the battery usage stats of your 8-10 hour SoT?
Thanks

haha its pretty hard to do on a normal day because I pretty much need to listen to music!
But when I'm not listening to music my usage is basically just Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Discord and Reddit lol
Try changing the bluetooth audio codec in developer settings, see if that has any effect on your experience. Hope you get it sorted

It's impossible to change bluetooth codec. It just defaults to aptx when connected to my bluetooth headphones and I can't change it.
I have the same, buetooth drains battery like a mofo, both with Spotify and Pocket Casts on already downloaded content.
