Stable GCam app for Xperia XC (Android 9) - Sony Xperia X Compact Themes, Apps, and Mods

For those of you running Android 9 on your XC, I've come across a relatively stable GCam port with the latest Pixel camera functionality. While not entirely perfect on the XC, it does work quite well and takes some amazing shots with the right settings. For those that would like to try here's the link:
https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/PMGC_7.0.009_HDR_Version_V13.apk
If you have any better GCam suggestions, feel free to add here.

Does it work on LineageOS 16.0 port by Chipp_a?

No, that version uses Linux 3.10.x kernel, which unfortunately does not support any of the newer GCam mods with HDR support.

FreedomOS or Resurrection Remix

I'm a new 3T owner who got my phone just a few days ago (came from a Nexus 6P). I decided to load the FreedomOS rom initially because I was curious about OOS. Overall, I'm fairly content, but a few of my apps haven't worked correctly (e.g. Accubattery and Xfinity WiFi). I was curious about Resurrection Remix which, I believe, is based on Lineage.
I'm a bit apprehensive about loading a Lineage-based ROM primarily because I think I read something about Lineage not supporting some of the 3t's features (fast charging?). But after searching I can't find the thread I thought I read those warnings....so maybe I imagined it? Can anybody provide any clarity on if that's even an issue?
I'd also like some feedback from folks who have run the official RR Rom. Any downsides? Any benefits over FreedomOS? And the same question to FreedomOS users who have used RR...any feedback on why you prefer FOS over RR?
i'm on freedom rom right now wiht xceed kernel, loving it, i woudn't do AOSP or LOS based roms because you'll loose the camera functionality and manual mode

Do all Lineage-based ROMs (for the 3t) not have camera? What do you mean by "manual mode?"

They have, but no other ROM will have the same quality than OOS-based ROMs.
You can try this ported stock camera if you are using LineageOS: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/port-oxygenos-stock-camera-cm-t3451721
Remember to flash "HAL1 Enabler for LOS(and based on it): LineageOS" also from the same page.
Not sure which things are working and which aren't, some says that 1080p 60fps videos are not, but atleast I was able to take the video with that ported camera app, not sure was the outcome really 60fps.
Can't test any more of it for now, went back to H2OS 7.1.1 beta

yeah basicaly non OOS roms won't have the same camera quality in terms of processing and features.
Camera blobs are out and there are some ports but non function similarly to how the camera functions on OOS

What do you like about H2OS? Is it difficult to get gapps working properly? How about other launchers? Any issues for an English-speaker US-based user?

I dirty flashed it over OOS 4.03, everything seems to work fine, since Google apps were already there. I'm using Nova Launcher myself, can't spot any difference except language, since I was using finnish before, but there is english of course to choose.
Remember to take backup with TWRP if possible before flashing it easier to go back if you don't like it or something goes bad.
Edit.. seems that OOS 7.1.1 open beta 3 is here! http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_openbeta_3/
Well, if you really want 7.1.1 for OOS, you can just flash their Beta released today.
I'd say you should go for FreedomOS for now. All of the LineageOS and AOSP based roms have a buggy camera due to the buggy Camera HAL3. Only the ROMs based on OOS have a fully functional camera. You can also try out the OOS Open Beta 3 released earlier today, its based on 7.1.1

In fact, Hydrogen OS has gapps, just disabled. Install play store directly should be okay.

Yeah, I think I'll probably stay put on FreedomOS unless I discover another OOS-based ROM with a dedicated dev. Resurrection Remix looks nice, but a buggy camera would be unacceptable for me.
I really appreciate all the feedback/advice. I'm not a newb, but am new to this handset so I really appreciate all the info you've shared.

It's not my daily driver right now, but I've flashed it earlier, so I would say it's really good
Performance is smooth and fast, any bugs (so far), camera is fine, nearly compared to OxygenOS
I like a big amount of customizations the most ^^

Pixel 2 Camera Port To Oneplus One ( Arm32 ) Device.

Xda User Arnova8G2 Has ported the potrait mode google camera for non google devices , since i run oreo on my oneplus one i tried to install the apk and ended up with a parsing error, so is it possible that it can be ported to oneplus one or any other arm32 device?
OnePlus one is arm device.
I dont think so because of camera2 api is not present.

The port is for arm 64 devices and opo doesn't have 64 bit processor.
The best we can expect for the OnePlus One is an old version without new features.
I've tested on a OnePlus One running LineageOS 14.1 and HDR+ works with this version from B-S-G (one of the main guys working on the port):
- MGC_2.7.010_4.4+C2API_v2.apk (2018-01-14, changelog, gcam 2.7.x, android 6+)
Lens blur crashes, but the HDR+ option is available for the front camera:
@S4turno
Hdr+ and lens blur working fine for me on this Gcam.
**** your post title in declarative sentence.
if you really wanna request a port, use interrogative sentence or imperative sentence, or I'll take you as a clickbait scumbag.
and **** those clickbait scumbags.

Just tried this on Tugapower 14 8.1, but HDR+ and normal look exactly the same. Don't think HDR+ works.

dual speaker mod for miui 10

Hi to everyone,
Do you any dual speaker mod for miui 10 available for our mi5?
I can't find it.
This version for example,
https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/Mi5StereoMode
it doesn't work properly, speakers works fine but not the audio recording during a video record., Videos are recorded without any audio.
Thanks in advance.
I use the same module on Lineage without a video recording issue. My vote is to drop MIUI ;-P
Maybe it's the camera app you're using? Just a thought, I wouldn't know of a fix.
Hi, i am thinking to move to an android stock version...miui is nice but to much closed for modding.
I have the same problem on google and miui stock cameras.
Which Lineage version are you using?
thanks in advance

15.1 official. I've been on the official LOS builds with opengapps since 14 official. Better than google stock because you may customize with opengapps versions, or none st all if you prefer to be free of google.
LOS 15.1, opengapps 8.1, magisk 17.1, arnova 8.2 gcam is a perfect stack for me. LOS 16 official appears to be around the corner too for Android Pie.
Not yet available for MIUI10

Question Android 12L vs Android 13, which is the best to day of today, October 2022,

Which is the best in performance, battery, stability for the Redmi Note 10 pro? 12, 12L or 13?
I come from Miui and wanted to try AOSP roms, what do you advise me?
I seek balance between performance and customization.
I wanted to know advantages and disadvantages of each one.
Thanks in advance.

Android 13 is pretty good, though I like 12/12L because of MIUI cam being ported to those ROMs
Personnaly, I'm always looking to the future. That's why I prefer use Android 13.
I used crDroid 8 (A12) for months as daily driver and it was working fine, except mic problems in the beginning.
Since no A13 version of crDroid is announced to date or in development and I wanted to migrate to A13, I searched something else.
I’m now using ProjectElixir 3.2 (Android 13) as daily driver.
Why ?
It's the third rom A13 I found on XDA with Arrows and Evolution a few time after the last Google’s release.
I installed and tested those 3 roms and I decided to remain using ProjectElixir.
It's just a question of personal taste.
In any case I will not come back to A12 because each new version of Android contains novelties.
And further I will not spend time trying all existing roms.
My phone is the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Question Miui custom rom

After countless of months being on PixelOS I want to get back to Miui. Why? Because Im rather unsatisfied with the Leica Camera port on the Nov build. And now they changed to the LineageOS camera app with the newest build. Is it even better in terms of quality?
However theres a ton of different Miui roms not being posted on here. Is there a good to go version of Miui, which is fast, stable and offers good features? Ive herad of Banana rom but I dont know if there are better ones out there.

Have you tested the Leica Camera Mod Magisk module I have posted in the Leica camera thread in the post here, also the list is available in the first post?
Version LeicaCameraMod-4.7.230121.1-GLSPALR.zip have perfectly and accurate working Sharpness / Contrast and Saturation in Pro mode. Also the pictures produced from the Photo mode are GOOD
For a best working MIUI based ROM I recommend MIUI Verse ROM link to our is available in the first post of the Leica camera thread. It's perfectly debloated, very good customization and battery life - I have extracted LeicaCameraMod-4.7.230121.1-GLSPALR.zip Magisk module from this ROM.
Personally I prefer OSS based ROMs and I'm using the latest Lineage OS v.20 available from the forum + flashed Leica Magisk module.
I see now that in the Redmi Note 10 Pro Telegram group have been announced a new version 2 of the MIUI Verse ROM, but I have tested only the v.1

Thanks alot for the fast reply!
Im going to try this on Pixel OS. However, I havent used Magisk in a long time. Seems like the category about selecting every app to hide them was removed in newer builds. Also safetynet doesnt work anymore once I used Magisk. Is there a workaround?
Hey whatsup!
Im searching for anew MIUI custom rom, which is slick, fast and resposinve. MIUI14 is slower than MIUI13 so I need some advice in what to use. theres alot of different miui custom roms Ive seen on youtube but not presented on this page.
Any advice?
