Known bugs are:
-HWC is disabled
-The signalbar always shows 0, although calling and data have no issue and work as intended
-Vibration for calls/notifications is too weak

Just did a new build with possible fix for vibration for calls/notifications. Please give me feedback.

Now that vibration is fixed i am using this is daily myself.
Discovered that I forgot something and therefore the hard press homebutton doesn't work. Added that now and making new builds.
Both star2lte and starlte will be up soon.
Next builds after this will probably be for march patch.
Edit: new builds are up but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have fixed it. Probably AEX just doesn't swallow it as the same commits work fine on other roms.

With stock kernel it seems pretty decent. But i need a few more cycles to properly judge. It isn't really a bug anyway so that's why I removed it.

The hard press homebutton is actually fixed now. I will remove the builds of earlier today and build upload the newer ones asap.

I'm stuck for more than half an hour on boot AEX logo scrolling. I think something is not right. How much more should I wait?

Normally it should take just a couple of minutes for the first time booting. Do you use the special twrp, the one with the sign boot?
if you don't have it just head over to the lineage os thread for 8703 and it's in the main post
otherwise you could wipe and install again

I was getting the ERROR 7 and edited the script as suggested above.
I'm installing the Firmware and GApps and clearing cache/Davlik.
Upon rebooting I was asked if I wanted to install SU.
I tried both scenarios.
If I DON'T install SU, the tablet doesn't even boot. It flashes the LENOVO logo for a split second and turns back off.
If I install the SU, it gets stuck on the AEX Logo.
I even left it there for an hour with a powerbank keeping it at 95% battery, just in case.
P.S. I've installed recovery-TWRP-3.1.1-0821-LENOVO_P8(8703F)-CN-wzsx150.img through QFIL.
Do I need to update it with the twrp-tb8703-3.2.1-20180825-bootsign.img ?
If so, how?
With adb command line or QFIL again? If it's the latter, should I tamper the xml files to point to the new img?

twrp-tb8703-3.2.1-20180825-bootsign.img is the special twrp.
flash it as you did with the rom, from the recovery. this new recovery is an image file, so when trying to install you need to select the image option, otherwise you'll not see it.
my advice after flashing it would be to also wipe the rom and reinstall it with the new recovery. At the end of the install you need to use the sign boot option. You can also find this option in the Advanced menu afterwards.
You need to use the sign boot option every time you install a rom or install magisk, for example

As I said to the LineAgeOs thread.....
Note to self and to others.... Wiping is fun but it's not to be overused.
My conclusion is that instead of wiping ONLY what's necessary (Dalvik/System/Cache) I was wiping EVERYTHING, thus deleting (I assume) essential files (drivers???) that every device needs, regardless of recovery type or ROM, to function properly.
Reflashing the Stock Rom and redoing the procedure from the beginning, wiping ONLY what's supposed to be wiped, solved everything.
So folks, DON'T OVER-WIPE :silly:

But ambient display only works in always on mode. The advanced settings d`ont work. Beside of this very smooth...

Perhaps because I flashed Magisk before ROM boot? Can't think of anything else, followed instructions precisely.

Have to look into encryption. Zip worked on Viper but having some problems here....

I'll maintain AEX , Viper and crDroid for now. Been very busy building roms for Axon7. But will have some time free to look into the Viper and crDROID again

On my device, AOD seems always set on max brightness...is it the rom bug or just my device??

Android 10 gestures are there and you can't remove the Google search bar since it has a Pixel-like launcher.

ROMs haven't been deleted but their servers are down.

Titanium Backup doesn't detect ROOT in this ROM, no matter what I do, it doesn't simply work.
Interestingly there is no dark theme toggle in the notification panel.

Hey! Thanks for the ROM. Unfortunately, for some reason, I'm getting "E1001: failed to update system image." error on OrangeFox when installing this ROM, and also the latest LineageOS update. Both of these are Android 11, and I'm coming from LineageOS 17. I'm wondering what firmware version is this at or if anyone have any tips on bypassing this error. It would be greatly appreciated.
PS: Yes, I formatted data, wiped dalvik, data, and system, and even reinstalled the latest 12.0.1 lavender firmware.

When I make a call, the dialer remains, but the in call screen never comes up. Similarly, if I'm rerceiving a call, I never see that notification or full screen popup. I'm using NikGApps core.
edit: The issue was that the phone app wasn't set as the default phone app... No default phone app was set. Might be something worth looking into.

We'll yeah..
This issue is known. I actually tested the same after clean flash and it was fine for me.
It's problem with the Gapps.
Use flame Gapps.

Preferably one of the best roms i've used.
Two things:
1. Camera (no matter which app) sometimes stops and I need to Reboot the phone in order to use it
2. Integrated gestures or the magisk module ones for full screen gestures accidently swipe everything that has built module for swipe (for examp,e instead of back the gesture deletes my mail over the screen)
Any fix at least for 1.

How to fix this issue ?
Screen lock is already changed. Try again with the new screen lock
i tried many time but still same. Try wipe all and try re-flash custom rom but still same

1. I have no issues with camera apps (I'm using stock camera app and gcam, both are fine)
2. Integrated gesture are working fine, but I can't help you with magisk modules

->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

Hii i encountered a few problems this first is randomly reboots sometimes when i turn on data or switch sim or do anything in quick settings pannel.
Second is music player is aweful , better include any other like phonograph or vanilla music player,
Gcam go is worse than LineageOS cam .
Although i'm new here but in the last few days i have tried octavi, LineageOS, arrow os, revenge, bliss,pixel experience+,crdroid,aicp too, far now I'm testing AOSP extended from last 3days & performance is good battery life good but not stable often crashes and boots again as mentioned in starting.
I'm using latest version with opengapps.

Everything fine here..
Hope you did a clean flash before reporting bugs.
Camera and music apps are from ROM source, so i wont be replacing them

Actually i did a clean flash still the quick settings pannel is buggy when i change data card from tiles it reboots sometimes
and settings too does the same but only sometimes .
and about music player I'm gonna desable it and cam too.
but random start is the main problem .
i hope devs fixes this in next update.
I'm using it with opengapps pico without rooting.

Hello, Yesterday I installed the AOSPExtended ROM and have to say that this ROM is one of the fastest ROM's I have installed on my Redmi Note 7! The battery is very good also! Yesterday there was available only version 8.4 and with it today I had just one incidental reboot during some movie watched on the MX Player !
I have upgraded to the latest version 8.5 and I hope that the incidental reboot problem have been fixed!!!
I'm using the vanilla project with NO GApps installed, only microG here and one libray (GCam Services Provider)
allowing me to run the GCam app without any other google bloatware!
I RECOMMEND THIS ROM!
It's one of the best ROMs I have installed on my Redmi Note 7
