Hi, i tried to follow your instructions regarding my Huawei P40 pro,
but could not found any backup software to uninstall. Its just not listet in Apps/Apps.
If i try to install the apk file the installation aborts because its an older version (5.0) than the installed one (6.0).
Any solution for a P40 Pro?
Thanks

Apologies if you already did this, but before uninstalling the newer version of backup - try clearing cache and data a few times, force stop and then uninstall. This method has helped me with other apps in the past when wanting to downgrade and getting an error about newer version even when uninstalled.

Why you should I do this? I updated Backup app from AppGallery and I also got the last version of sistem update and everything works ok with GMS installed. Is there something that I must check or .....?

If everythings works fine for you there is no need to do anything. This is for those that cannot install google services on a P40 Pro after a recent update....

YouTube Vanced not working? stuck at boot screen [SOLVED]

I have installed both recent version of microG and YT Vanced (non-root versions). YouTube Vanced just gets stuck at the boot page (the YouTube Logo) forever. I tried reinstalling several times. The exact same version and procedure worked on my previous OnePlus 6 perfectly.
Edit: I did a factory reset and reinstalled without changing any settings and yet it didn't work.
Is anyone else facing this too, and are there any fixes?
Especially ROG 2 Indian variant users, please comment if it works for y'all.
Edit: It actually takes forever to load the app the first time. Wasn't this way on my other phones but I just had to wait a couple of minutes. It works now!
Thanks to the awesome XDA community anyways. Y'all very supportive.

This might do something with battery saving and background restrictions maybe? Although I tried removing all battery and memory optimisations for those two apps alone.

Oh okay and thank you. Looks like it's some battery and memory optimisation of other apps messing up with YT Vanced. I probably need to reset some things.

I did a complete factory reset and installed YT Vanced without changing anything, yet still gets stuck. You guys are using the non-rooted version right? Can you please share the procedure to install it? I just directly installed both APKs without disabling YouTube or anything and this worked fine on my OnePlus 6.

Make sure to install microG first and then YouTube Vanced.... installing YouTube Vanced first crashes it...

Be sure to install the latest micro. Also try after resetting your device and then install first the micro and youtubevanced, check if its working. If yes then maybe conflict with other apps you installed

Thank you guys, and yes, I did install microG first then YouTube Vanced next. I did that right after factory reset, so there were no other extra apps installed. I also removed all memory and battery optimisations for both of the apps, tried disabling YouTube and Chrome, yet no difference.
Can't live without Vanced lol
Re download micro and vanced
My phone is running Vance well after i uninstalled micro.
All working fine here, vanced 14.21.54 and micro g 0.2.6.17455
Note, 0.2.6 was needed instead of 0.2.4 versions
I used the 0.2.6 version only. Redownloaded and Reinstalled many times. Tried installing only Vanced without microG. Still no luck.
Is there any specific YT Vanced version for this phone?
I just got the common one in the XDA site.
I've got the Indian ROG 2 variant. Maybe something got to do with that?

You mentioned you didn't disable the original YouTube app.
Try deleting Vanced and MicroG and make sure you clear data before deleting them
Then open original YouTube app , then close it and then disable the app entirely. Then try installing Vanced and MicroG

Thank you. I tried this and yet no luck. I tried several combos and still the same result. Tried all these right after factory reset too. I'm starting to feel this has something to do with the ROG Indian ROM or something.

Well thanks a lot to all of you guys. I finally got it to work!
The boot screen actually took a couple of minutes to get through. I just left it on the Vanced boot screen unknowingly for a long time and was opened the time I came back xD.
IDK what caused the delay but anyways now I can have a peace of mind. Thank you all!

No solution for GMS on phone...?

Hi there,
1 week ago, i bought the p40 pro+ and ever-since I have been trying to downgrade but i feel like its not possible.
Every video on youtube doesnt work for me because they have all different base software models and therefore also different firmwares. I then asked some help on this form in an existing topic but nobody was able to help me. I also had contact with Bender-007 (creator of googlefier, i believe?) and after 3 days going back and forward, he wasnt able to fix it. So im starting to believe that my phone is unable to downgrade?
Things I have tried:
- hisuite + proxy
- googlefier
- VM ware (which worked but i dont wanna use my phone this way)
- downgrading without PC or USB method but not working.
So, the real issue is that everyone keeps telling me that i need to download firmware xxx.131; but i keep telling everyone that xxx.131 doesnt exist for my base software information! I have ELS-LGRP6 and the earliest firmware existing on firmware finder is xxx.132; not 131.
So, if the correct firmware i need to downgrade to, is non-existent to any firmware finder i use, then how can i downgrade?
Look at the screenshot. The green are alphabetically set to show LGRP6 and it ends at xxx.132; then magenta starts which is only LGRP4 and this is the only one that shows me xxx.131.... But i need from ELS-LGRP6 EDIT: screenshot is not showing so click the link. https://ibb.co/5r4vzP4
So anyone please has some solutions? :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Have you followed the redskull guide from YouTube? I was able to install Gapps using his guide on 10.1.0.155.
Please try his and have patience, because you might be repeating the procedure several times.
I have tried from over 15 different youtubers. Including Redskull. But I will give it another try. Thank you. Ill keep the topic informed. As long as i havent written that it works, im more than happy to hear other peoples solutions. Thank you!

What I did was to follow RedSkull's guide till account creation and launching of the blue G App (pressing the blue button and let it run in the background), and then I start following the @eloygomezTv guide from that step. Only change I did was before installing the Google Play Services (from EloYGomeZTv files), I uninstalled the microG. And then I followed the guide from EloYGomeZTv with his files and viola, I was able to install it. It took me two tries though.
I dont understand your comment. sorry... I dont follow the exact thing you did. What is microG? Is that the G-app? And, did you press it or not?
The issue is that i never can open the G-app... So the fact he can open it means its not gonna work for me probably. Because hes procedure at the start is exactly the same as the procedure of red skull... They do both do the exact same things and the only issue i have is not being able to open G-app. And the reason i cant open G-app, is because i need to downgrade BUT the downgrade is xxx.131 and this one doesnt exist for ELS-LGRP6.... So, im still in the same situation as one week ago

Ok so i fixed everything. GMS is finally working.
There is a new video online on youtube which made it all happen (to install GMS). But first, i had to downgrade ELS-LGRP6 which wasnt easy because nobody new the correct firmware i had to download for this base software. So, i decided to take the earliest firmware i could find, checked if it was OK for my device and then used proxy and hisuite to downgrade to ELS-LGRP6 xxx.132
Then i used this youtube to walk me through. Its amazingly simple and shows everything too.

How to install google services on Huawei P40 pro plus (ELS-N39) running EMUI 11.0.0.151(C636E2R1P3)

I've been trying to install GMS on my Huawei P40 Pro Plus phone but was stucked at the part when I tried to start the app with the big G logo. It says it does not support this firmware. I then tried to downgrade using HiSuite, but could only downgrade to 10.1.0.179. I am unable to install GMS on either version so far.
Does anyone know where I can find solution for either of the above version? Alternatively, could someone tell me how to downgrade to an even older EMUI version (HiSuite does not allow me to go down to older version)?
Many thanks in advance.
You have to go down to 10.1.0.144, then install gms, after that go to 10.1.0.179, then go to 11.0.0.151

There was a way you could downgrade to 10.1.0.132 using "firmware finder for huawei" and "hisuite".
I've done it before and it worked flawlessly.
The only problem is that firmware finder for huawei doesn't seem to have firmware anymore. It shows all firmware versions but when you select it, it comes up will a message that says firmware was deleted from the server.
I'm also currently trying to downgrade.
If you could help me get firmware version:
FullOTA -
" ELS-LGRP6-OVS 10.1.0.132 "
Or even Dload -
" ELS-N39 10.1.0.132 (C316) "
Then I can downgrade myself and help you out step by step to downgrade as well.

Check before uninstalling that the google account manager is installed successfully. If this is not the case re-try.
The only reason google account do not stay is if GAM is not installed.

Has anyone been able to get this to work? I am going to try this method. I am running 11.0.0.190. Is there a version I should try and downgrade to? My device is els-n39 any help would be much appreciated.

Did you successfully install GMS on a P40 Pro with EMUI 11? I saw from the backup folder that it was for a Mate 30 Pro.
I did it for P40 Pro+ and yes the backup is from Mete 30 Pro. This backup will install the blue G icon app on the handset.

GMS on latest Emui 11.0.0.223 (C432E3R5P3) and how to get back to older firmware [WORKING]

Just to confirm success, I have P40 Pro updated to latest firmware 11.0.0.223 and working GMS. For half of the day now, installing everything I want.
First i did FW downgrade to 10.1.0.131 and applying lzplay manually (you can use Goglefier, same result) using this great guide
Then used OTA updates to get phone to latest available FW which was I think 11.0.0.198. Then used official HiSuite to apply three more updates to end with 11.0.0.223
Then I followed this latest guide to fix GMS. I did one additional trick - disabling internet during whole process. What I learned during first try is that when you apply fixes (mainly downgrading GMS), phone sometimes manages to uprate these back. Because Play Store is by default set to update automatically. And it messes whole proces leaving you with idea that it doesnt work. It works fine, you just need to have correct versions of GMS modules.
After finishing with video guide, I enabled internet for brief moment to load Play store. As soon as it is loaded just disable internet again. Go to settings of Play Store and in Settings > Network Preferences set Auto-update apps to Dont auto-update apps. Which hopefully stops GMS updates in background. And keeps them running till Google finds out and makes updates enforced in next version regardless of auto-update settings...
UPDATE after week of using phone: GMS hacked in phone worked, but notifications coming through Google push services did not. I tried few available solutions but none of these did the job. At the end I used Ilham solution provided by Badmania98 in his thread. And it is working for over week now without any glitches. Notifications coming through. There are some minor issues like Gmain dark mode not working, but nothing gamebreaking. Cheers to Badmania98 for his help!
UPDATE2 Tried to downgrade through Hisuite proxy, using 10.0.1.100_OVE and it keeps failing after download. Says just Update failed. I hope that I identified properly my phone according to guide
Base sw ver ELS-LGRP4-OVS 11.0.0.223
Preload sw ver ELS-N29-PRELOAD 11.0.0.3(C432R5)
Cust software (C432)
Tried to downgrade to
Emui 10 .131 - fails without downloading
Emui 11 .151, .168, .186 - fails after download just by msg Update failed
Is Hisuite 10.0.1.100_OVE version enough to process Emui 11 firmwares?
UPDATE3 So Hisuite 10.0.1.100_OVE cant downgrade to Emui 10 from 11 according to this post by author of Hisuite Proxy. By using latest version of Proxy from author website and by selecting fw 11.0.0.151 I got it working and downgrading from .223 to .151 - now I hope it will be possible to go down to Emui 10 by official Hisuite.
Slowly progressing back to beginning
UPDATE4 sooo after successfully flashing with recommended HiSuite 10.1.0.550 and latest Proxy to fw 11.0.0.151 I ended up in eRecovery mode automatically downloading 11.0.0.202 through wifi. Hope it will work else I have softbricked phone...
Same issue for me too, spend my whole sunday to find a way but nothing works it seems…
Contact @badmania98.
UPDATE5 WiFi eRecovery worked like charm upgrading to .208
Seems that using latest proxy and hisuite to downgrade should work, confirmed by ProfessorJTJ. I just forgot to set proxy to rollback os option. It should be enough to "Wipe cache & data from erecovery" to boot .151
Trying again with downloaded .168 - too lazy to wait again for .151 to download (it got deleted by hisuite after update). We will see... and it worked fine. Selecting rollback os option added factory reset after installation and phone booted .168 just fine.

Don't worry this has nothing to do with your system update, this is something else. This is a new security check added by Google in their fight against unofficial GMS installations. It would have happened even if you didn't update your system. Actually it is happening to EMUI10 users too so....

Guys, you are doing it totally wrong. There is NO NEED TO DOWNGRADE your system software if you already have GMS installed. This has nothing to do with your system software version and you don't actually have to re-trigger the GMS installation (rights elevation/lzplay) exploit.
You just need to fix your Play certificate to stop those annoying play protect messages.
Yes, they added additional verifications. Yes, that was probably targeted against this hack, among others.
What you need is simply to download this pack:
Install Google Play Store by ICTFIX.net
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
And then uninstall Google Play Services
then install this one: 7-GSM Play Protect certified Fix.apk
Then reboot
And the spam notifications should be gone.
Replacing Google Play Services with this app will force-regenerate your Play certificate,
and this version of Google Play Services does not have the problematic check in question.
Still you should NOT update Google Play Services as the latest version DOES have the check that will trigger this event again.
You do NOT NEED to install anything else from this pack.
Actually you could reupload this with only this file present.

Yes, it is missing that option. It is not supported anymore, and if you force it, you WILL HAVE PROBLEMS.
If you REALLY want to downgrade you can use HiSuiteProxy and an older version of HiSuite. However I don't recommend this for 3 reasons:
- it is unneccessary
- it is dangerous. You WILL lose USB connectivity after the upgrade, and you can only regain it when you update again to the latest system software version. And you can only do it with OTA.
- You can very easily brick your phone if you use HiSuiteProxy as it bypasses many of the firmware validation checks
+1 Huawei is changing things around with the latest HiSuite. Older versions will not work for software updates/downgrades for much longer.

Of course it keeps failing. 10.0.1.100 is NOT USABLE anymore. Bender007 is too lazy to update it in his guide. You need a different version 10.0.1.550 (grab it here https://github.com/ProfessorJTJ/HISuite-Proxy/releases/download/2.3.5/Hisuite_10.1.0.550_OVE.zip ) this one works for HiSuiteProxy and EMUI 11 tested up to 11.0.0.203.
However I would highly recommend AGAINST downgrading as it is dangerous and completely unneccessary if you already have GMS installed. It doesn't matter if you have the play protect error message or not, you can fix that without downgrading. There is only one case when you need to downgrade and that is if you don't have google apps installed at all.

You will if you keep jumping corners. Don't try to experiment, this is dangerous enough already.
Once again, if you have Google apps installed already, then it is absolutely UNNECCESSARY TO DOWNGRADE YOUR SYSTEM SOFTWARE. You can fix play protect errors very easily by just replacing an app on your phone. Why you guys would want to go through the whole downgrade process all over again is something I don't get. But, whatever you prefer
Thanks for great explanation, hands down! Meanwhile I managed to directly downgrade phone to 10.1.0.131 and lzplay it and now going up through fw updates. Next time I will focus directly on fixing GMS, geting bit more experienced with this every step
You're welcome! Enjoy the experience and remember: keep it calm!
YOu can fix almost ALL issues that can arise with GMS without ever downgrading again. This is because the only thing you really need the downgrade for is to enable elevated privileges for the google apps (this is what that weird lzplay app does) and you only need to do that once.
The only thing you shouldn't do is a factory data reset as it would obviously wipe away these permissions too, in which case you would have to do a downgrade, but not in any other case.
Play protect certificates keep getting invalidated from time to time, because Google is stepping up their mechanism. But see, the scene already has fixes for it. And in this case you just need to replace an app.
Of course now, that you're doing a full downgrade+upgrade, and doing all the Googlefier stuff again, make double sure that you launched LZPLAY app as soon as it was installed as you can only do that on old versions of EMUI10. Once lzplay is loaded and given the special permissions it asks for, and googlefier having completed all of its steps, you're good to update
But don't ever update Google Play Services as that seems to be what is breaking the Google Play certificates, causing the error messages. If you did update it anyway, you can use 7-GSM Play Protect certified Fix.apk from this pack link to fix it.
First uninstall Google Play Services then install this replacement app.
Just to confirm success, I have P40 Pro updated to latest firmware 11.0.0.223 and working GMS. For half of the day now, installing everything I want.
