Sony Xperia 1 ll ... Made in????? - Sony Xperia 1 II Questions & Answers

Can anyone please tell, the Sony Xperia 1 phones made in which country???
I googled whole of internet with a negative search result. They say Google have all the answers

My Xperia 1 was made in Thailand.

Thailand, same as the original Xperia 1. You can check out Unbox Therapy's review. There is a label on the top side of the box written "Made in Thailand".

Original white battery cover

Hello boys,
where to buy original white battery cover for our Xperia?
I´m from Slovak Republic, but in our coutry it has only one e-shop for 30€
I mean this on the picture
I dont think you can just buy the "back" cover for Xperia T. and even if you do find one, I wouldnt advise you taking it off and replace it with another. Not unless you really have to.
If you meant the xperia tx, then the back cover can be found on ebay for around $15 CAD
No, I mean Xperia T, not TX... I think some service for phones do it.
Sorry for my english

[Q] sony xperia z1 faulty display

Hey guys i purchased a sony xperia z1 about few months back and m sure my device has a faulty screen with a dead cell on it.... Sometimes it show many vertical black lines extending the whole screen... I have seen videos of teardown xperia z1 on youtube and realy worried by seeing how they open up the fone... Guys please advise me weather i should get it done from sony within warranty or i should let it be as it is as i don't want any further problems with my fone if sony center could not fix my fone like a new brand device.. M worried that my fone will lose it waterproof seal or Won't look like a new fone or loss of functionality in any manner.
Please suggest me guys asap wht should i do...??
You should take it to a Sony service center and have it checked, just to be sure. If the display is faulty then they should replace it under warranty.
As for the waterproofing, the service center should do a vacuum test (as it is stated here) to see if the phone is sealed properly after the repair (if they do decide to repair and not replace it).

You'd have better luck asking here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/help
This is the section for accessories for the Xperia Z1. I will notify a moderator to move it for you, so others can answer your question who may not go in to this part of the forum. (thread is in Accessories at the moment) :good:
Happy new year!

If they said that you'll get a replacement phone and not a repaired / refurbished one, then that is what *should* happen.
I found this post here in which they replaced just the phone without the accessories, so it might be true that they do replacements like that.
Hope you get a new and problem-free one :fingers-crossed:
yadnit: my phone was replaced because of a faulty display, with a brand new one by the carrier i've bought it from. They did exactly what you said. They took just the faulty device, without any of the accesories that came with it in the box. They took my original Z1 box too. When the replacement arrived, it came in my original box, without being any kind of sealing. The phone had those protection plastic foils on it and when i started it, it was on .534 fw although my faulty unit was updated to .257 fw.
Another very important thing to pay attention to, is the new phone's IMEI. Mine has now a differen IMEI and even more it is unbranded and not simlocked (the faulty unit was branded and sim-locked also).
Hope this helps you!

[Q] What is written at the back (Back logo)

Well,
Trying to find a purple xperia Z , been recently interested in getting this mobile.
Searching online I came across a rather simple but question.
What is actually written on the back side of the mobile. On some sites and images I can see it is "XPERIA" and on some other sites, I can see it is "SONY". Just seen in a google image search, although very few with "SONY" written on them.
I was about to make a deal with a "SONY" one but wanted to be cautious of buying a genuine mobile, instead of being ripped off with a ditto chinese clone .
Can someone confirm to me what is the difference and am I making a mistake in recognizing any one of them.
Thanks for your input.
Mine says XPERIA on the back. Black handset purchased in the UK. I'm not sure if others say anything different though.

[Q] Best place to get a Z1 cracked screen repaired in the UK?

Hi, I have a friend who has cracked the screen on his Z1 and is looking to get it fixed. I've had a read through the forum and the only specific information I can find on the Z1 is how to replace it yourself (which looks a bit messy), there's a recommendation to use CPW for a Nexus 4 on another forum section but I would appreciate if anyone has any recommendations for the Z1 particularly given the weather sealing.
Thanks,
John
look up ebay screen replacement xperia Z1 and you will find that service being offered from a few UK companies - I replaced my own

[Q] How to Sony Xperia Z Made

Hi Friends This Is Thread Very Important Indian Users And Other Sony Xperia Users
Most Of The Indian Users used China Manufacture,Because China Produced Very Poor Camera Performance and Touch Very Bad Performance,
First I Buy Xperia Z C6602 In India INR 35,000 Rupees , I Not Satisfied With Camera and Touch And More Problems Water resistant Problems Leaks ,
Therefore I am going Import From Other Country That Model Having Supportable LTE Network and Amazing Camera Performance And No Water Resistant Problems , That Mobile Seller Says Your Mobile Xperia Z is Imported from SG (Singapore).I Buyied in Ebay
So How to Find Correct Manufacturing Country My mobile????????
India or not, all Xperia Z models are assembled in China as far as I know. If you're having issues with your touch screen/camera, I'd try a factory reset and RMA it if your faults still continue.

Hence me saying 'as far as I know'. I've never seen anything from Sony or from anyone with a legitimate device that pointed to it being manufactured anywhere other than China. Though whether or not they are manufactured elsewhere is a moot point, just because it was manufactured in China has nothing to do with your touch screen or camera being faulty.

Indeed. My UK unbranded handset was manufactured in China. Zero issues with it in the year I've had it.
