Stuck on 00WW_5_13B with aop_sprout after Internal Android 10 installation. - Nokia 9 PureView Questions & Answers

Good morning,
I installed successfully the leaked Android beta on my Nokia 9 PureView as 00WW_5_13B and the model is TA-1082 but now I am totally stuck to any new update.
The Security Path level is 1 October 2019 but it doesn't accept any OTA update... I tried all.
There is any way to update it or to revert it back to Android 9 and get the Official Android 10?
Thanks,

Unable to update my Nokia 7 Plus to the latest Android Pie

So 2 month ago, I had registered for the developer Preview of Android 9 on the official website. Got the regular updates until September 1st. Yesterday, we got the official release of the android Pie and I tried to download it. After downloading the 1.4GB update and restarting my phone, it says that the update failed. But when I attempt to check for the latest update, it tells me that I have the latest release and the date the last security patch is on 1st September. Customer care wasn't of any help, so I was hoping you guys would know what's going on here
Cheers
try to clear data of google services framework, restart your phone and check again
Happened to me as well as my cousin who was on Oreo. It shows update failed but we are both on Android 9 with build number 3.22C (0WW_3_22C).
After checking out the new build, there is no change in latest beta and the Android 9 update, I think they have pushed the same ROM with some certifications. All the bugs that was on last beta still persists on this stable build.

No updates since March

My Unlocked Note 8 was in the Pie beta and in March, it got 2 updates. I think the final was supposed to get me to the final build of Pie. But since then, checking updates just says I'm up to date.
I'm on N950U1UEU5DSC1/N950U1OYM5DSC1/N50U1UEU5DSC1 Security patch level: March 1, 2019. Kernel version 4.4.153.
No matter how many times I check for updates, nothing is offered.
Actually, the SmartSwitch app installed to my PC worked to just get me to the May 1st update.

[XT1900-7] Please help me upgrading Android 8.0.0 to 9.0

Hi guys,
just after Android 9 had been released I flashed my device back to Android 8, because I was experiencing wifi-drops every few minutes. The phone worked without problems with that version.
Now I wanna try upgrading to Android 9 again.
My phone says there is an upgrade for Pie available, but when I try downloading and installing it, it always fails. That's why I tried a guide mentioned here in the forum. But installing that version (ab_delta-Blur_Version.27.301.32-29.11.36.payton.retail.en.US) from my SD card also didn't work, because it couldn't be mounted or something.
So, please, tell me, how do I upgrade to 9.0 again? It was a nightmare flashing it back to 8.0. It almost took me like 10 hours or so .
Thanks.
You have to flash the pie firmware completly ota does not work after a downgrade.
Latest Pie for XT1900-7 is here:

N960FXXS8FUC4 april 2021 update ?

So guys I'm on android 10 one ui 2.0 the very first version of it dec 2019
And just decided to get the newer version of 2.0 the jan or feb patch but the ota update comes up with april 2021 update
N960FXXS8FUC4 this is I think 2.5 one ui the very latest version, do Samsung delete older updates off the sever now and just push the latest updates?I'm 17 updates behind I was expecting to be able to update 1 by 1
Instead of being forced to jump to the very latest version in 1 hit
Bump for help guys please help guys this forum Is dead i know due to the note 9 being old but i would really appreciate the help
Maybe I should remake this thread and put it into the s20 section because that forum is not dead?
I don't believe Samsung delete previous OTA updates from their servers.
OTA updates are incremental, in other words each update will apply changes from a specific previous version to update it to a specific newer version.
So for example a recent over the air (OTA) update would be for 8FUC4 to update to 8FUD1, this update would only be downloaded by your phone if it was on 8FUC4, also when the phone reboots to install the update it again checks that the current software is, in this example 8FUC4 and will only install the update if 8FUC4 is the currently installed software.
If you update automatically in this manner then it's one upgrade at a time I believe.
If you want to update in one jump to a particular firmware then you would need to manually download a specific "full firmware " from an independent website such as Sammobile, usually approximately 4Gb in size to your pc and then flash thus full firmware using ODIN software
My phone uk note 9 unlocked doesn't update each fw one at time like I would like ,im currently 17 updates behind and when I go to update via ota its skips all 16 updates and offer me to install the lastest version of android so Samsung must delete the old firmware from the fota servers

Android 12 for p20 pro?

Hi!
Is there ANY android 12 rom for the p20 pro? Or at the very least a rom with updated security patches?
Kind of a shame that i might have to replace the device just because of an outdated OS, the phone still works good.
The hardware should be able to do it no problem, considering i have a spare ****ty moto g30 that is running it from factory.
No Android 12 but latest update on mine 10.0.0.201 (received about month ago) has security patches from February 2022.. so I see no security issue there.
EMUI 12 (based on Android 11) is i think now in beta stage for P20 Pro.. so should be arriving in a couple of months...Stable version of EMUI12 on P30 series is rolling out globally at the moment... P20 series should be next...

Yeah, that's why i was talking about security patches, last updated April 2019..
Will try after a full backup. Anything i should be aware of? Running root through a patched image (Magisk) and busybox
And thats the reason why you don't get updates. Root is guilty. You have to update it manually, but you should make a copy of bootloader img from android 9 because in emui 10 (android 10) they deleted the option to unlock/lock it. Btw how did you got the bootloader unlocking code?

Ah, should have known. Thanks for informing me though! Any idea how to do that? Will share the unlocked image if it's of any use for others.
I unlocked it about a month or two after the launch of the phone through Huawei. Received an unlock code via email.
unfortunately I bought my phone a moment after they removed the possibility of getting the code. Yeah sure it would have use for others who were so lucky and got the unlock code (they would not have to install emui 9 to get the boot.img). Unlucky I can't really help you, only with theory because i didn't ever even rooted a huawei phone. I only installed twrp, custom rom and rooted my huawei watch 2 and another (samsung) phone... Continuing: In theory you have to get somehow the image with the latest version and install/flash it and then flash the old bootloader from android 9 (probably with these command: "fastboot flash boot path/name_of_the_img.img")

Android 10 is available for P20 series since about 1.5 years (can't remember exactly), and you should be getting security updates approx every 3 months.
If you are stuck on Android 9.0 you may have to update using HiSuite.
Built in eRecovery may help too (turn phone off, hold volume up, connect to charger and keep holding volume up until you get white menu screen, there should be option there for system recovery, select and enter wifi password, phone will download latest version of system available and install it)

I found a tutorial, but it's from 2017 https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...d-rooted-but-otherwise-on-stock-emui.3702156/
Interesting, however is there even a working TWRP for the p20 pro? In any case, I'm running stock recovery.
I've looked at the possibility of using the app "Flashfire", might have some use.
Like I said I have no idea. But I have good news about updates. I just got the emui 12 beta so June or July there should be stable verison for everyone.

Just tested this, both eRecovery and HiSuite says Android 9 is the latest. Probably have to wipe the phone first.
And it just became even stranger.
Reset to factory from settings: Only removed my lock screen.
Reset to factory from eRecovery: Nothing, just a reboot.
Tried to install Android 9 from eRecovery: just derooted my phone, otherwise everything is the same.
Managed to lowlevel wipe the phone through Find my device, but still not able to upgrade.

EMUI 12 for old phones (like P40 Pro, P30 Pro etc.) is based on Android 10. Probably, only the recently released phones are based on Android 11.
