Screen on time - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Real Life Revie

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Coming from Samsung Note8, this is a huge step up.
No gaming, no GPS navigation, only light browsing and some other non heavy stuffs like WhatsApp, telegram and YouTube.
Aod always on (off at 12am til 7am), Bluetooth always on (connected to Huawei watch gt2), GPS always on, adguard local vpn always on.

I'm only on my first charge and at this rate will be another 24 hours until I need to charge again, but early signs are that battery life will be impressive.

I removed FB app and replaced with Maki.

You use the F2 Pro as a TV? Only Youtube?

YouTube, Facebook, SMS, Calls. As everyone.

On you screenshots it looks like only for Youtube.
If somebody can provide some screenshots without only video/wifi it would be very helpfull

Lmao Then buy it and provide "legit" screenshots.

Was actually one of the main reasons I opted for the Poco F2 Pro. Was battery life. I'm using a OnePlus 5T with a 3300mah battery and only just get through a day. Usually recharge it during the day. I recharged my OnePlus 5T over night and it's on 50% battery at midday. The F2 Pro charged at 4pm yesterday and still at 80% charged the next day. Very impressive so far. Overnight battery drain was only a few %.

So, I took my phone through the paces: I charged the phone late in the evening and put it in an airplane mode. To my surprise, it was at 96% when I woke up... I went on a biking trip of around 75km (46.6 miles) at 11 AM, took quite a few photos with stock camera and GCam, had a phone call, a few messenger chats and active GPS tracking via Endomondo (not optimized by MIUI) all the time I was cycling plus some navigation in Google maps. I came home at 11.30 PM and there was still 12% of battery left. I would say I'm really impressed with this phone's battery life

MIUI 12 is rubbish
Please back to miui 11 (11.0.6 is very much better)

Yeah miui 12 seems to cut battery runtime by 50%. ?
I hope they fix this in next release.

battery life

hi all , i am thinking of bying this device, but as i can see it is only fitted with a 3100ma battery. how is the battery life with this small battery? i have seen another post here with 8hours sot, but that sounds unrealistic or??
So No one knows how long there battery last?
Sendt fra min MI 4i med Tapatalk
there is no universal answer to your question. Always depends on your use behaviour. I switched from Honor 7 to Z2 Pro about 3 weeks ago. the Z2 Pro has a 100mah smaller battery but lasts much longer.
I had to charge my Honor 7 every day. Maxium usage of about 23h before i had to charge it again.
The Z2 Pro on the other hand lasts much longer for me. Up to 31h.
Like i said. That question isn´t easy to answer. For me, it was an upgrade even though the batterysize is smaller than before.
Thx... Happy with the Phone?

i´m happy so far. there are a few things i hope will be changed later.
- i activated german language with MoreLocale2 but now the system is some kind of mix of german, english, chinese, italian and spanish...
- QuickCharge 3.0 isn´t activated so it won´t charge with 9V/12V with a QC3.0 certificated charger.
- the heartratesensor doesn´t work very got. not even close to the samsung one.
- even with whitelisting and premission changes, some apps like tasker won´t stay active in background.
- No whitelisting option in the SafeCenter app, so some apps will be detected als viruses.
I´m currently waiting for the Xiaomi Mi6. If it supports LTE B20 i´ll probably switch again but otherwise i´ll stay with the Z2 Pro

Unhappy with Mi 9 battery draining and SOT, thinking about changing for mate 20 ...

Hi all.
I have written a comment to another created threat in mi 9 forum, but I would like to read your comments here too.
I'm having battery draining and SOT problems with my mi 9, like I said in title (like most people I think).
I have tried everything to improve my battery life in my mi 9, and It's not bad at all, but I was expecting better performance for a top xiaomi smartphone with sd 855 and 5 months old in spite of the fact that it has "only" 3300mah battery ...
I'm not a heavy user and I try to get max SOT and minimum battery drain in all my phones, because I don't like changing smartphones very often and I like to take care of it.
I came from a Moto G4 plus, and I had 5h of SOT in 48h without high standby drainage (maybe 1-2% of drainage overnight in 7-9h) with a 3 years old battery and worst hardware and software. In mi 9, I'm getting 5-6h of SOT in 48-72h. Not bad at all, but standby drainage is awfull. It loses 20-25% of the battery every 48h (3-5% overnight), and in a smartphone with such a fair battery it's a problem. If I'm not getting great results with not heavy use and my smartphone is new, I don't want to think in 2-3 years + mid-heavy use ... I have tried everything (full wipes, reinstalling, the most powerfull battery saving, etc) and I don't have great result. Standby drainage is very hight compared to other phones (I have tried a friend poco f1 and I had 10h in 48-72h with 1% overnight drainage. It was awsome).
And now the question ...
I'm thinking of changing my mi 9 for a huawei mate 20... I still have the 30d Amazon refund and I am not comfortable with my phone's battery.
- Mate 20 pros vs mi 9: +700 mah battery and more efficient, the best ips panel without burn-in problem, and fingerprint sensor behind the screen (no like too much in-screen fingerprint at all).
- Pros mi 9 vs mate 20: sd 855 (but geekbech it's very very similar, and antutu winner is mi 9 only for gamming but mate 20 still on top), unlocking bootloader for mi 9 (better comunity in xda, but if emui works well I think I don't need custom rooms, the problem here is Trump/google vs China ... but now apeares to be solved and we would have newer updates to Android Q), wireless charging (I don't use it because smartphone is hotter when charging 3-5º vs cable+1,5a charger, It takes more time to charge with elevated temperature), not jack (better for waterproof), maybe very little better cameras in mi 9 and little better results, 4 months younger (very little difference) and It's the top phone on xiaomi (mate 20 is the little brother because we have mate 20 pro, 20x, p30, p30 pro and we will have soon mate 20 and mate 20 pro; and that could be worst because we will get latter uptdates in mate 20).
What do you think? Would you change mi 9 for mate 20? Reading your comments. Greetings.
If your looking for better battery life I'd say get the mate 20. I've had mine for just under 3 months. Best damn purchase I've ever made (purchased way below retail during trump ban). I consider myself a medium to heavy user (I don't play mobile games however). With some useless features turned off and some fetch services disabled. I can easily get 8-10 hrs on screen time with this phone, it's the best battery life I've ever had, prior I was getting 4hrs with another Android phone.

Heat? I haven't had any issues with heat if by that you mean does the phone get too hot to touch, it's cool the majority of the time. As for performance, EMUI 9.1 is very smooth and I haven't had any slow downs ??.

Just a month ago I had Poco F1. On the battery Sot was similar to the 20 mate. Night drainage in Poco 1-3%, mate 2-5%. Mate saves better on screen on. Performance similar to Poco. If I had to exchange Mi9, it was on mi9t Pro.

Low capacity battery after 9 months...help!

Hi, at the beginning my battery drained 11-% / hour when playing at real racing 3, now it drains 19 % / hour in the same conditions. I have reinstalled my phone (stock phone) and nothing changed..[emoji19]
I checked with accu battery : my battery is only 2536 mah (vs 3300 mah) and 78 % max capacity now..[emoji19]
Can somebody checked too with accu battery the health of your mi9 after some months of use ? Thank you.

Don't keep it on the charger when it's full next time
Yes I will try your tips but I haven't so much hope[emoji21]. It seems that the mi9 batteries deteriorate in some few months....
Please install accu battery on the play store and you will see the health of your battery and tell me the result...
Several people I know have lost 20 % and more capacity of battery in less than a year.
Normally we shouldn't lose more than 8 to 10 percent by year of intense use.
(When I had HTC and Samsung that was at this level ...)

Mine is 74% and I have terrible screen on time results. Phone is great but battery...
It's worth it. The cheapest snapdragon 855 device in the world.
Me my screen got burn in and phone got black screen after brick they fixed for free by warranty and was unlocked and changed the battery even it was only 6 months and I installed back extended ui rom i love the phone
It is a pity the battery to be so hard to replace... life would be easier with replaceable batteries, no need to worry about how to charge the phone

There are many things that can damage battery longevity.
- Fast charging. Biggest offender. I never fast charge my phones. I mean I did my Note 4 and had to swap batteries every year (thankfully that was an easy task back then.)
- Topping up to 100%. Though I really don't follow this one and I didn't see any big degradation, so not sure how big of an effect this one has.
- Battery heat.

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro)'s battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Hi, this a graph of a day heavy use.
As you can see I had airplane mode activated.
Same here
I have 2 weeks with my poco f2 pro, and while I sleep it looses around 10 to 15 % battery life in 6 to 7 hours of sleep the batter manage app it says that almost its done because cell standby. Some one please help I am thinking to sell my phone all reviewers out there said it was supoust to. Have a great battery performance that's why I switch from my MI max 3 so sad.......
Im also having that kind of problem. May battery drop 40 percent on 6 to 7 hours iddle. Anyone pls help me. If one has a solution for this.
Same with mine. Battery time is terrible. I can hardly get a working day out of it. My 3 years old 1+ 5t has better battery stats than this. I'm thinking to get another phone.
With flight mode and ultra power saving mode on 1percent of battery drain for 6hour
94% to 70% in 16h is still much to me, maybe miui is the problem
4% drain during the night (7h) with global 12.0.4.0(QJKMIXM)
I have the same problem with discharges the batteries overnight, so I sent feedback. I got this answer.
I have generally found MIUI really good. I was running debloated with MicroG instead of Google Services, which I think saves a lot of battery in itself. I have another link for debloating MIUI, but it's not ideal. Running an AOSP ROM without Google Services I think would be the best option.
My Poco F2 Pro drains about 13% of battery overnight, and that'd be like 5 or 6 hours more less, I consider that a high number.
Enviado desde mi POCO F2 Pro mediante Tapatalk
same issue
I have the same issue, almost 10% overnight drain in standby mode, it's to much, any work around to solve such thing ?
On Android 10, I had 0-1% battery drain over night with wifi on, on Android 11, it jumped to 5-8% overnight
Temporary solution to stop this is to turn off wifi while overnight and I get 0-1% drain again.
Hopefully it will be fixed with MIUI 12.5, developers already said they are working on the issue

Are you sure that's a capacity reading you're quoting?
I just downloaded CPU-Z to check and it doesn't seem to offer any battery capacity reading. Under Battery it gives a Voltage reading, mine being 3885mV at this moment
Meanwhile the Ampere app gives a capacity of 5020mAh. Maybe check again using Ampere?
