SP FlashTool, UFI and service firmwares - Meizu Pro 7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi, friends! Need help.
I can't flash this device with SP FlashTool. Every time I get ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_FAIL (0xC0060005).
I discovered this phone can be flashed with UFI but as I understand, this software is paid.
Generally, how can I flash a service firmware?
I found one with a wrong scatter, the processor specified is MT6757D instead of MT6757T.
Where can I have a right *.auth-file?
Has anyone flashed this phone with SP FlashTool or UFI?
The bootloader is unlocked, I have all the drivers needed. But I fail every time.
I seem have surfed all the Internet, but have found no solution yet. Всё уже перерыл!
Please help.

I found an answer on 4pda.ru forum. They told me it's impossible to flash this device with SP FlashTool, and UFI needs money.

[Q] Xperia T upgrading FW from 490 to 140

At the risk of being shot down in flames. What is the best way for going from 9.1.A.0.490 to 9.1.A.1.140 whilst retaining root etc?
I've got a std UK Xperia T, unlocked bootloader and generic european .490 and rooted.
Im looking for a basic step by step if possible, as I dont play around with the phone much. I managed to stuff up going to .490 which put me in a boot loop until I got it sorted. I prefer to avoid that scenario again if at all possible!
Thanks in advance
Update the official way via pccompanion and then rout again the same way you routed last time, probably by using bin4rys root many android method

No, In which case just flash .140 rom from the development section (My rom for example) but make sure it the right one for your phone, and flash it in recovery
Or just grab a FTF file of .140 and flash that in flashtool and then root like you did last time

Hi there
Just jumping on the "how can I update?" bandwagon, can I flash the Generic Central European fw onto my T? I am unrooted and have locked a bootloader. I'm in the UK and on EE. I have read the 1st post in the section saying this is fine to do, but I've also read an article on another website telling me that flashtool is only for unlocked bootloaders. Please can you advise?
You can flash using Flashtool with a locked bootloader and while unrooted.

Pccompanion = Only works on locked bootloader
Official Sony Flashtool (EMMA) = Only works on unlocked bootloader
Flashtool by Androxde and Bin4ry = Works on all devicex
Gave up after managing to get stuck on the sony logo.
Relocked bootloader, updated via SUS, unlocked bootloader and then rooted using bin4ry's method.

official update after rooting without flashing ?

hello
is there any way for have official update after rooting without flashing the rom ?
is there anyway to unRoot Xperia SP ?
Thanks
You can unroot your phone flashing a stock ftf file via flashtool.
As about updates, many members here upload ftf files once released, so waiting for Sony to release the update on your country, from the moment you can flash the ftf file some hours after the release, is kind of useless l (just my opinion mate).

Custom kernel lets you get the whole control of your device. You can use it for better battery life, overclock etc. All custom kernels in order to be installed, you have to have unlocked bootloader.
But, when you unlock the bootloader you void your warranty, you loose bravia engine and you can't update using Sony pc companion.
You can still though relock your bootloader by flashing via flashtool a ftf file that you can find on development section.
If you want to relock your bootloader, I suggest you to download an ftf file of the update and flash it and after that flash the ftf file in order to relock bootloader.
Flashtool is an app for pc that lets you install ftf files.
Ftf is the extension of the update that Sony releases.
so what exactly is a (the) tft file?
and how can i upgrade the phone?
is it also possible to use new android 4.2.2 (from sdk) like google nexus?
sorry but i dont know anything about original software from sony, always had custom rom on my lg ^^

No, you can't use LG files because it's not compatible with your device mate.
Ftf files are the format of the stock file. When users download an update from pc companion, they create a file so other members can use it even if in their country the update is not released.
You can check how to use flashtool on YouTube. With flashtool you can install ftf files.
i already used flashtool but i just didnt know for what and i just used it to install the xperia Z drivers (dont know why i had to use them for my c5303, others didnt work)
i used this kernel forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42642971 and flashed via fastboot (just oldschool and how it worked ever on my old lg ^^)
by the way: it was a .elf file, not tft i think ^^
okay i hope i got it now. it is for: - samsung devices (only) and - necessary for using the original rom?!
but the last questions:
which kernel do i have to download to update? (german)
and: do i have to save the data? (dont have CWM on this phone, but titanium Backup)
sry for the dumb questions, but this is all so complicated for this **** phone (i hate it, but lucky it is not mine)
Offtopic:
for my lg i installed fastboot, download CWMrec, downloaded a custom rom, rooted, installed everythink, all done nicely :victory:
for the nexus 7 it was even more simply. used a nexus program, type a few numbers, all done
for this phone i had to install like a bunch of programms, had big problem with drivers, read dozens of sites (the technical one are not so easy for a german guy ^^), had to register imei, unlock bootloader and so on... very much crap for a 350€ phone... with old android 4.1.2
I really don't think you should be messing with unlocking bootloaders and playing with the kernel if you don't even know what it's for.

[Q] why do I'm unable to upgrade to kit kat?

Hi,
I have a 4.3 installed on my phone, I woul upgrade to 4.4, but I don' know how to do that.
If I check with pc companion, ittell me that there is no upgrade, and the same by OTA.
I'm wondering if is it possible that I'm still out of upgrade.
How can I upgrade it...?
TIA

Is your Z1 a UK unbranded one? Uk unbranded seem to be always the last one to get updates. You could back up your phone then perform a repair. Doing repair may wipe your phone so consider before doing it. BTW you have posted in Q&A section. Please move to Q&A Moderators many thanks
If you can't post in the correct section you are unlikely to know where the search button is either...

If you have root or unlock bootloader on your device you cant upgrade it through SUS or PCC. Lock it back or flash it via flashtool.

This is incorrect.
If you have root you can still update via PCCompanion or SUS, but you will lose root.
If you have an unlocked bootloader then you cannot use official tools such as PCCompanions or SUS, you can only use EMMA (Official tool from Sony for unlocked bootloaders)

ok, I thought I can do it with OTA or pccompanion. I thought it is a "regular" upgrade for Z1. Indeed I need flashtool? I need to root Z1 ?

You will be able to use PCCompanion once the update becomes available for you, they are not all released at the same time, it can roll out over a month or two.
In the meantime, you can flash a FTF using flashtool from flashtool.net and there is no need for root. It is just a repackage of an official download and made avaialable for all.
Find them in the FTF mega collection thread.... Use the search button.

Repairing my "bricked" phone

Hi,
My phone got messed up while trying to flash a kitkat tft file via the flashtool. I got some errors relating to "system.bin" so he flash had to be aborted by the flashtool. The wipe had already been done.
Am trying to repair it via he PC companion. It only works when i select Sony Xperia Z (SO-O2E) as my device. I don't think that's my device since am in Kenya and I got the global LTE version.
The device had jelly bean 4.3(10.4.1.B.0.101. Am not sure whether this was the version) before flashing.
Will it be a problem?
Any assistance will be appreciated.

Did you try to flash a 6602 FTF or 6603 FTF?

Thank you for the reply. I was able to repair the phone the via the pc companion.
I had flashed a c6603 ftf file. I don't know what went wrong. What causes "system.bin" errors? There were other errors but the severity of the errors was "Minor"(according to the flashtool)..

Completely lost upgrading

hey there
first time ever I am completely lost. I wanted to update from 9 to 10 but was annoyed because the phone wanted to do it step by step as it seems (i.e. 100 to 101, 101 to 102, ...) and the companion only threw errors. I then unlocked the bootloader hoping to find an image to flash. No sources available?
Now I am stuck. I found something but the flash tool doesn't seem to recognize the firmware. So, how the can I upgrade my XZ2 (dual, ger) to android 10 now? From what I have found relocking the bootloader is no option and the phone/companion refuse to find/or update the phone.

Thank you very much!
