Back color leaking or something - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Accessories

I leave my Cloud Blue Tab S6 in a clear plastic case, but today I took off the clear plastic case and noticed that the Tab S6 blue color on the back had tarnished the clear plastic case. The end of the clear plastic case looks practically dark blue now and there is a big blue spot in the center of the plastic case. To the naked eye, the back of the TAB S6 appears to look fine without any blue fading, but the S Pen definitely has a light to dark blue fade to it now. I don't know what to make of this situation.

How are storing your Tab S6 ? And are you using all the time ? The spot in the middle is defo due to heat, not sure what type of spray lacquer Samsung use! The Tab S6 heats from the middle if your using it at home don't use the case! Are you in a hot country ?

Store it? It just says in the case all the time.
I do use it a lot in the morning and late afternoon, but no video streaming or gaming at all, just web surfing and stuff. I typically only charge it overnight. When it's charging, it's sitting upright in landscape. It's 78 degrees in my place even though it's hotter outside and typically low humidity. I never take it anywhere outside as is always used in my living room. I also have the 85% protect battery setting enabled.

Store it? You know what i mean lol. On a serious note when did you purchase it ? We have 2 year warranty! 78 degrees is fairly hot, and using the gel type cover defo does not help the Tab S6 to stay cool! i would ring up Samsung and get it replaced! on a another note I’m using the Supcase Tab S6 Thing about supcase there is a ever so small gap between the case and the Tab S6 it's not stuck on so in theory the heat dissipate easier, i used one of those gel case you got on a Tab S4 it would get hot fast! but never did it transfer paint on to the case! if Samsung don’t give you a new Tab S6 i would advise you to go caseless or get supcase!

CPU-Z can tell you what sort of temp your Tab is running. Might be worth checking it out too ensure it's not overheating periodically. I'd definitely stop charging it overnight though, if you mean when you're sleeping - If it is overheating, you don't want to be asleep whilst it's doing it.

Hopefully that means Chromatics as well. I've used the black "carbon fiber" skin on my Galaxy S for months now, still like new, looks great, and has a nice texture to it which helps your grip quite a lot.
Oh, and there's this little tidbit:

Pity they're in Arizona which doesn't do Daylight Savings. Otherwise you'd still have about 7 minutes since they do run on PST. I'd give it a try anyway if you haven't already.
And Winter30 as a code will still give you 30% off (just doesn't stack with Cyber50).
So mine arrived yesterday. It's good stuff. Very good stuff.
To be honest here, I'm like four times as happy with the Chromatics on my Tab than I am with the Zenus case that came in the same day.
Besides no more fingerprints on the back, the installation of the stuff on the sides and top mean this thing is MUCH easier to hold one-handed, the bit of extra friction/grip it gives means you don't need a death-grip, light pressure is enough.
Extra bonus, the side pieces make the device look much slimmer, believe it or not.
Also comes with a nicely cut screen protector which I haven't installed yet.
Looks good, is it easy to install?
Will the 30% code work today?
If you remove it, will there be some glue leftovers or some mark after the skin?

Really easy to install. The 3M material they use is pretty nifty stuff.
Here's a video of it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z3mb85nxdY
It can be removed with no residue, and re-applied almost indefinitely if you get it crooked or something.
If you get a wrinkle in it, (or an edge lifts, etc) apply a little heat from a hair dryer or desk lamp and it will smooth right out.
After it's applied, you can use a little heat and/or a microfiber cloth to rub the edges, so that they blend smoothly with the Tab...when it's brand new, the material has a little "bite" when you run your finger across an edge.
30% code should still work.

Hot damn that is sexy. I'd bought a chromatics kit from them for the Milestone before but wasn't satisfied because it wasn't really full coverage, so I went with a (also very nice) Wrapsol matte skin with the Tab this time.
Think I'll order this again.. just need think whether I want black or white
Great, will make a order directly

Just wanna make a quick comment that after installing the phantomskin, the tab doesnt fit on the HDMI dock. I can still force it in, but then it made some scratches on the skin. Hope ppl are aware of this.
Same experience here. But the skin is really nice! I'm very impressed. It's my first skin set from Phantom. Easy to install and gives the Tab an very good look. Only Sim cutout is not perfect.
Display cover was not that easy to apply but looks quite good now. After waiting for about 8 hours, til all water disappeared.
Delivery to Germany was quite fast.

Really?
these skins don't look that thick, i just ordered a dock, i wanted to get a skin like this or the zagg one
It's not that bad. Just the screenprotector gets little much pressure on the lower corners.
Backcover is ok.
With the protectors it feels to fit a litter too perfect into the dock.
Maybe supported by the flimsy adhesive surface of the screenprotector. The SGT doesn't slide that easy into the dock.
For me that is no real problem.
Don't be disappointed bevor you get the skins. I think it was a good choice.
Does the skin get scratched or rubbed away after being inserted into the dock?
Thanks

It made some marks on it (the screen side), but it did not remove or shrink it. Mostly it is cosmetic I would say.

waterproof bag lol?

I was looking at Proporta BeachBuoy - Waterproof Case but reviews show signs of bad quality, has anyone got a NOTE 1 durable waterproof bag? this would be used mainly for traveling :>
something that will carry the note 2 in and maybe a little bit more. not a full on back pack size or anything

Check out dry pak on eBay ... the only downside i noticed is that, these kind of bags overheat the phone because they don't let any air in
I guess you need something like this ?
Use transparent food foil. It's cheap and working very well.

Want to drop that in a bucket of water for 30 seconds and tell me how it holds up?
One of my friends flipped her kayak once.
She had her phone in something similar to the OP, and her phone was just fine
I've always thought about getting one after that.
The aquapac looks pretty solid.

In theory, you shouldn't be playing games or anything when it's in the bag, so it shouldn't be that bad.
Does recording video heat up the phone?

I travel a lot with my phone, but I just carry a sandwich zip lock bag with me in my backpack just in case it rains. I have pulled that bag out maybe three times in the last year.
Personally I wouldn't invest in a fancy waterproof case unless you are planning to use it in the shower every day.

I bought one of thoose bags and scubadived with it on 15 meters depth with my note 1 in Thailand, worked very well, somehow the N1 couldnt handle 1080p under water,, coulors were horrible.,,, use 720p and start recording before diving under water...
http://youtu.be/X2OIiJA2lY0
was it a dull day or something? cos the colours look quite bad even on your 720p recording.
How was the auto focusing?
I wonder if the touch screen will work with the pen, underwater?
I have BlackBurn waterproof case for my note1 - it is quite job to slide note1 into it but it fits there. As note 2 is about 2mm brighter should perfectly fit into that case - there is still room left for note2 for his additional 4mm into high - i dont have note 2 yet, but i already checked the case with dummy
There is no problem at all with this case to handle screen, even with calling i can hear as there is no bag and also other side never complained that can not hear me. On the bike in my back pocket never get the phone wet from sweating even sometimes got caught by rain.

They are working on an SIII case, might be worth pestering them for a Note 2 case.
Krusell Sealabox
The 3XL box still isn't big enough though!
I've used the AquaPac for 3 years now. I'm around water most of my day working in the yard. Watering plants, digging, etc. The AquaPac has saved me several times from ruining my phone (direct hit with sprinkler, dunked into the pond). I listen to podcasts and with the Note 2, it's loud enough to just put it on speaker and go. Otherwise I've used a bluetooth headset. I now also have an older AquaPac for when I paint or am around grease.

If you go to their main website, they have other types/sizes. The one in the link above, fits the Note 2 "just right". It fits, but if you have a case of any type, it's not going to fit. Fyi, one side of the case is completely clear, the other side has the company logo.

Maybe even this one: http://usstore.aquapac.net/explore-...-cases/large-whanganui-fits-ipads-uss668.html
Edit: I have a FlyGrip on my phone and there is no way it fits into my original AquaPac. Luckily, I found this, good price and excellent ratings! http://www.amazon.com/Kwik-Tek-Dry-Multi-Purpose-Case/dp/B005G77P7S/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Anyone? Aluminum Alloy Blade Metal Frame Bumper Case

Anyone used this bumper?
The back cover is easily replaceable so I don't mind showing off the titanium texture on Note 2. A bumper fits this need. So anyone used this? It shows 20 sold, so hopefully at least someone is browsing xda.
Share your opinions :]
BTW, there's different codes of N7100 and the prices are different, e.g., BK, PK, TP, etc. What does that mean?
EDIT: UH.. nvm, seem to be color codes. BUT, same model, different prices ($20+ vs $10)????
EDIT: UH... nvm again, one is free shipping, one is $10 shipping.
EDIT: AND one is bid while the other is BIN. :double-facepalm:
WARNING: Based on further reading, this design is not acceptable. It scratches screen when installing/uninstalling, and possibly affects reception!!

I've also come across these
You can see that my main idea is to cover the sides, because I believe that it is still chrome like on the Note2 (mine hasn't arrived yet), and shows scratch more easily.

Or do you guys think Galaxy Note™ II Protective Cover + from Samsung just looks better?
Only thing I'd be worried about is it interfering with the reception

Ye, that's also my major concern. So I wanted to see if anyone tried it on xda. It comes from Hong Kong, so I really don't wanna waste time just to find it interferes with the reception :/
From this thread, looks like (hopefully) it won't interfere.

It wouldn't suppress the signal since The Note isn't like the iPhone 4/4S where the antenna is on the sides. Our Antenna is on the bottom portion of our phone so this case does not interfere with signal.

a buddy of mine has one on his s3 and has no problems. I am going to pass this link to him because when he asked if they were available for the note 2 they said no.. but that was a few weeks ago.
Just fyi guys, i updated in my OP that these bumpers will possibly scratch the screen when sliding in/out as well as interfering with signal strengths as i read in the other thread.
Try to avoid it or try to bear the risk.
There are plastic/soft bumper emerging on eBay. Search for them.

I've had a black aluminium bumper on the titanium gray note 2 for a week, it looks badass especially with the notification led in red ahah. But it does add some bulk and removes the softness of the original design when you hold it ot shove it in your pocket, Guess that bugged me just because I used the note protection free for 2 weeks :/
No signal problem whatsoever.
Little video there, mine is the second one to prove another guy the case didn't intefere: http://www.galaxynote.fr/bumper-aluminium-t8200.html#p90815
I've ordered a second one from a different brand (with replacement buttons like in the original poster picture here instead of grip notches on the sides) in titanium gray color too I'll post a full good quality video of the case if I have some time.
Alternative Bumper
I like this one because looks like thinner on front, shows side buttons and it's nice to hold to don't falls.
Where in Chinese sites can I found?

I had the same one as in OP (aluminum frame) from eBay awhile ago, and it didn't fit the phone
Looks like a Triobump Clone.
The aluminum won't scratch the screen.

Quick look at the Orange Flip Case

Samsung was giving out Flip Cases for the Galaxy Note II and the SIII at CES 2013 show in Las Vegas. I decided to go orange. Didn't think I would like the orange color after getting it, as the day went by I really like the orange color. Here is a quick video of the flip case.

Thanks for the review. I ordered the orange one when Samsung was having the free flip case promotion and I was wondering what it would actually look like. A co-worker has the light blue one and that one was really pretty too.
So sad watching the video and seeing the crack on the screen. Such a bummer.

:crying: Yes, first week of having the G'Note II it slipped out of my hand and landed on the corner and weird part was it didn't crack on the spot. The corner was scratched up and later I went to use the phone and the crack showed up. More likely it put pressure on the corner and cracked afterwards. I'm going to replace the whole screen and LCD, but will wait for the price to come down from $300.00 for the parts.
The orange color reminds me of the Dodge Charger car.

Hey guys.
For those of us who prefer the OEM flip case but want some drop protection, consider buying a cheap lariat and feeding it through the speaker hole on the back. Wear the lariat around your wrist when using the phone and if you drop it the phone never hits the ground.
The lariat also helps you to pull it our of your pocket if you are wearing tighter jeans.

I have the orange as well. I got it for 50% for registering my phone via Facebook. The orange is very odd. It's almost peach in bright lights. I find that the flip cover gets in the way most of the time. It is nice though. If you use a car mount.... get ready to hate the cover.

I wouldn't recommend you keep it on like that, I did that for awhile and eventually the piece started to bend. Instead feed it through the hole and tape the lanyard to the inside of the back cover, You won't see the tape when the cover is closed . Don't put too much though or the cover won't close. It's kept my phone from hitting the ground thus far. This was the lanyard I used http://www.ebay.com/itm/4X-NEW-T-MO...368729?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item336ab1ca99

Made For Xperia Case - Not fitting properly?

Guys,
I got myself an Xperia SP a couple of days back and as part of the promotional offer by Sony, I got a free "Made For Xperia" flipcover case with it. Its supposedly worth 1,899INR (says so on the box) but while the covers texture feels nice, the quality doesn't feel that good. Anyways- quality aside, the phone is a tight tight fit but that doesn't bother me as much as the cover not closing shut properly.
I have a Transformer Infinity and my mom has a Note 2 and both of our flip covers lie flat on the screen instead of awkwardly resting like this. So I wanted to ask- is this normal? Not just for the SP but do all Made For Xperia cases rest like this? Even if I push it down, it pops back up. The only way I can get it to rest slightly is by pulling the case outwards to the right side of the phone and even then it still pops up by a millimetre.

does your covers/cases kind of auto-operate screen when kept in pocket??
countless times i've noticed apps opened, numbers dialed ..automatically when kept in pocket (mobile mounted on case/cover obtained from flipkart.com)

Disable Glove Mode in Display Settings. Chances are it is interfering with your flip cover.

Thanks guys. I'll give this cover time to settle down. Hope it fits better after a while.
Had same problem, got my cover from mobilefun.co.uk.
After some days of use the cover set up and now fits fine.
I just bought for 8 dollars a hard case and it doesn't fit the phone from the one side. What can I do?

Ditch the online buy method and buy a case in a smartphone shop(operator shop-Tele2,T-Mobile,VIP...).It does cost 2$ more, but it fits the phone, and you can try it there.
Sent from my Xperia SP using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I use it and it;s not good enough
