Why is the crackling sound coming from the backside of my phone? - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Hello,everyone...
I am using Mi A2 phone. Today when I put backside of the phone near to my ear I heard sounds like high-pitched whistle or crackling coming from there. But the sound is so low that it is audible only in a quiet place without any other sounds around and only when you stick your ear to the phone)). By the way the phone is new(it is just 2 month and I never dropped it)
I am wondering are there someone who faced the same situation?
I wanna know my phone have problem or it is normal

Speakerphone SOFTWARE "Issue?"

Hey guys, I've noticed a weird bug with stock 4.2.1 on my Nexus 4, and was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same thing. If not, then perhaps it is the hardware and not the software, but the nature of this bug has lead me to believe it is software-related.
Let me first say, right off the bat, that I have had no other issues with my phone, and that when I play games or watch movies, the volume is loud, clear, crisp--just all around excellent. However, when I use the speakerphone on a call, it seems to be... quieter than everything else. So I tried playing around with it, and discovered something interesting.
The next time you're in a call, put it on speakerphone. Note how loud it sounds to you. Then, turn the volume down one notch, and then put it back up to the max volume again (I've only experimented with it being at max already, then turning it down one notch, and then back up).
Does it sound WAY louder? And does it sound distorted, almost overblown? Why would it be like that during a call, and why would adjusting the volume down and then back up again have such a result if it was NOT software related? And, furthermore, why would it be blown out and distorted here where as for everything else it sounds superb?
Let me know your thoughts--maybe I need to RMA? I got this one at T-Mobile (I didn't have to pay the equipment installment due to my current plan, so it was cheaper to buy it @ $200 from them).
Thanks!
Same Here .. I believed it was the only with this problem since no one had said.
I think is Software Issue.
Yeah I noticed that no one had mentioned this, but I believe if it's software then it must be affecting everyone. At least, it should be affecting stock users. I guess I noticed this sooner because I use speaker phone when I'm driving in the car, since my ragtag bluetooth receiver that outputs through a tape that's plugged into it and inserted into the tape deck only transmits music and notifications, not calls--for some reason--over the car speakers. Just got sick of plugging into the phones headphone jack every time I got in and out of the car! lol

See but mine doesn't crackle or do any of that stuff during calls or anything else. And it's not blown out sounding during anything other than calls where I have lowered the volume and then put it back up to max right after. I don't think the problem is the same as it is here, it just seems similar, for sure.
Also, when not on speaker phone, the in call volume is perfect and without issue. It's limited to specifically what I mentioned in the original post.
Thanks for the reply, but I'm talking about it being overtly loud and only being so when adjusting the volume down and back up to max, and that prior to that, the volume is just a bit on the quiet side at the maximum. Not crackling/popping/etc!
cool..sorry about that.
Exact same situation with me.little buzz while on call nothing else.

Hi hportas,
I had the same with my first device.
When I first started to do a call I heard that noise.
I could even hear something when I shook it, like something is loose.
I suspected that the earpiece speaker was not mounted inside correctly, or something was loose and jumping around on the earpiece.
I went to the providers shop, showed the problem, and they directly replaced it with a new phone.
You might do the same.
It's most probably a hardware issue.
Good luck,
Matt

Weird clicking noise from speaker.

Does anyone notice a very light clicking noise from back speaker when on speaker phone right after hanging up on a call?
Just the NSA, disregard.
Lol,thought it might have something to do with radio/network stuff or like u said nsa..smh
I notice it makes the clicking noise anytime the back speaker gets used at all, there's a light hiss then click, guess kinda like an amp would sound when being turned off.
No one else here it?

Yes, I hear it. This has been audible on every phone i've had in recent memory, you probably just never listened for it before. Anytime sound is routed through the speaker you get the hissing, followed by the click as the amp shuts off 2 or 3 seconds later. Sometimes it's audible through headphones also, depending on the headphones.
Lol yeah only noticed, because when on call using speakerphone it clicks 2 or 3 times and it's just a tad louder then when turning off any other time, other wise probably would never heard it.
I have a N910F and noticed it this morning. I here it, it's like a frying noise, and if you get close enough you here it every time a sound is routed throughout the speaker on or off.
I'm on Lollipop 5.0.1 Baseband version N910FXXU1BOC3.
I don't think it's normal, Samsung is playing around with the audio system, you couldn't turn off sound completely until this ver of lollipop and still even when audio is completely off you can here the speaker fry when something is routed to it.

[Q] Top speaker louder than bottom

Listening to music and noticed the top speaker is significantly louder than the bottom. Has anyone else experienced this? Im currently on Pure Shamu 2.6 and am going to restore back to stock to see if that might be the issue, just wanted to see if it might just be my unit.
me as well, looked it up and found your thread
I have noticed that also.
Hi, could everyone that has the nexus 6 with the top speaker that is louder, put there ring tone volume on 100 or 75 and play your ring tones and confirm if you have some distortion with some of the ring tones, kind of sounds like a blown speaker, a raddle like sound, and also make a speaker phone call to see if you hear it as well, don't really hear it when playing music, just on rings and speaker phone at a higher volume
I think I've narrowed it down to Viper sound. I reflashed back to stock and the speakers worked normally. Then i reflashed pure rom and speakers still worked. Gonna test on my next to be sure.
Well I'm on a stock ROM since I bought this phone and I noticed that the top speaker plays louder. It's a bit annoying because I'm the kind of perfectionist person...

External Speaker Distortion?

Is anyone else experiencing distortion with their external speaker? My ringtones begin to distort around 1/4 volume and very noticeable 1/2 and up. Does the same for notifications. Not as noticeable during videos and music but still present.
Just trying to figure out if mine is partying for the course or a dud. Thanks in advance for any input.

If you hold your finger or hand very close to speaker, mine has distortion too.
Hand placement doesn't really seem to affect it...
no distortion at all on mine.
I noticed when playing louder videos or when im on speakerphone and the person is talking there is a bit distortion in the sound sort of a tiny bit of fuzz and i noticed this also on my egde plus and a bunch of store models as well can anybody confirm? I mean its not bad but still my phones are $700-$800.
Im Tmobile
My speakers sounds (imo) awful, it's distorted and warbly (sp?). For a phone with such good headphone audio I don't understand why the speaker (or in the surround sound mod) both speakers sound so bad. They both have that issue for external audio, haven't tested call audio yet because I never really take calls and the one I did I forgot to notice.
No issues here. Probably dirt getting in with the speaker, the grill holes are pretty sizable.

Not minutes after I opened the box. I THINK I may have a lead as to why it's bad. If you listen closely and FEEL the phone. It appears to me that the low notes are resonating with the glass back panel (or something/everything else, whatever it is) and causing vibrations that both warble and distort the sound and speaker(s). I could certainly be wrong, but that's what I'm hearing. As for a fix, I haven't a clue, if I'm wrong and it's software, I haven't a clue. I don't have near enough time to do non-guided digging into this. Only what little listening I do with speakers. (Considering I'd rather use what comes out of my CXN).
Distortion
I too have distortion on my external speakers. Exactly the same symptoms..
I will be very interested in hearing about a fix.
Cheers
