redmi note 9 update 12.0.3 stopped at 65% - Redmi Note 9 Questions & Answers

How can I fix this update which has been at 65% for 2 days and just says "Getting info"

You were still in updating screen or still able to use the device?

Re: Redmi stuck at 65%
I'm able to use the phone without any problem but when I go to "About Phone" in settings it has a green rectangle saying UPDATE and if I touch it it just brings back the update same update screen showing 65% and "Getting info" at the bottom

Tons of problems

Hi!
First of all, there are some problems so far:
- Wlan when activated nothing happens (first problem to happen. Zui 2.5 bootloader locked, 1 month of use). MAC shown is 2: 00: 00: 00: 00: 00
- Phone does not restart or hang up normally. Freeze on the power off screen.
- Battery lasts less than 12 hours.
- Clicking settings - battery - I have a black screen and the configuration app has to be finalized.
- Network settings reset also freezes the screen.
- random boots
Below attached 3 catlogs:
1 Turning on Wlan
2 Acessing battery information
3 Opening some apps and doing things.
-------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
What I've done so far ...
My "Z2 Pro Z2121" stopped working the Wlan. I could not solve with the tips of others who had the same problem.
I installed several custom roms and also Zui by QFIL (1.9, 2.5, 3.X)
I did this procedure dozens of times and it did not work.
Except Zui 1.9, all other on the first startup hangs and reboots the device, I think just when it triggers the wifi to connect in a google account. Other versions of Zui after crashing, can start.
The customs brick at first boot except Mokee.
Now I noticed another problem, the battery has lasted less than 12 hours, even with a newly installed rom and without any application other than Stock. And incredibly, even the phone fully charged and turned OFF, the battery lasts less than 12 hours.
I installed an application to give battery usage information, the application asked for root for further detail. The phone wasnt rooted that day, so I ran the following command to give access to beteria data by the application and it bricked the phone:
adb shell pm grant com.gsamlabs.bbm android.permission.BATTERY_STATS
Thank you very much for any help!
My bet is on HW problem if QFil did not correct your problem, but RMA is a ***** with Chinese manufacturers/sellers.

Unable to rollback to oreo from beta one ui using samsung switch.

I installed one ui on unlocked note 9 exynos variant with 6gb ram and 128gb rom. It had a bug which didn't allow the incoming and outgoing call in LTE/3G/2G(Auto Mode). So, i thought of rolling back to oreo. I deregistered myself from beta participation through members app, then i downloaded smart switch application on pc. Upon clicking downgrade, it analyses and downloaded all required files. When installation was initializing it gave a error "failed to recognize software update mode". I tried it around 5 times, everytime same error comes. I tried reinstalling driver, switching usb port, reinstalling app on pc and even deleting temporary files but problems remains same on every attempt, pls help me!

You just re-registered for the beta and then went through smart switch again?
Interesting sounds like you have to be registered to the Beta before you can downgrade back to Oreo.

I faced the same issue after updating to android 10 and just after enabling gesture navigation. Solved this way:
force restart (hold power button)
boot in safemode (holding volume down during the booting)
disable gesture navigation and use 3 button nav bar
clear storage for google services framework, google play services and play store
update google play services
maybe just clearing data and updating google play services is enough.

Strange error with the latest Canary-Version

I have a strange error with the latest Canary-Version.
First of all, I made the app "invisible" via Menue....so I gave it a new name.
Anyway, after the update, when I start the app, the splash screen appears briefly with the familiar icon, then disappears again and reappears.....so every second the app wants to start, but can't.
What is going on there ?
Is there somewhere old versions to which I can wake back ?

Question Occasional Silent Mode problem

Every now and then I miss an incoming call because my Zenfone 8 has mysteriously switched itself into vibrate only or silent mode.
The only way I can see for it to do this by itself is the power button has to be pressed to access the lock screen, then a volume up or down button has to be pressed to reveal the volume slider, then a tap the ringtone icon (at the top of the volume slider) will switch to vibrate only mode, or two taps will select silent mode.
All of this would have to happen while it's in my pocket, even though pocket mode is enabled!
Any ideas how I can prevent this sporadic silent mode problem?
Try turning face recognition off.

Thanks for your suggestion, but Face Recognition is not enabled - I use a pin code lock. I have enabled Smart Screen in the Display section (screen stays on longer if a face is detected) but the problem happens even when the phone has been in my pocket for some time....
Sorry, in my case it disappeared. Are you on Android 12? If not, maybe try it.
Thanks. Still waiting for Android 12 OTA....

If you are on the latest android 11 build, you can simply download the latest Android 12 firmware file from the zenfone 8 support page (Bios download section) and then drag the zip file at the root of the phones storage (with the Downloads , Pictures, etc. folders). After that is done, simply reboot the phone wait a minute or two and it will ask you to start the update process. Just tap the notification and it should start

Thanks for your help. I was waiting for the OTA in case I messed things up - but now will have a go. Thanks.

Could you please post a link to the firmware file that I can download to my phone and simply reboot to start the update - this sound so much simpler than all the other references I've found to much more technical procedures for manually updating to Android 12. Thanks.

Yeah here you go, (latest direct download from Asus) you can do it all from the phone without a computer, just move the zip file out of the downloads folder to the Internal storage option (root directory).
Thanks again, Much appreciated!
