Latest version & instructions to flash are on https://asineth.gq/posts/android-rav.html
Flashing:
1. Extract the zip and open a shell with ADB and fastboot.
2. Reboot your device into fastbootd mode.
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot
3. Flash boot, system, product, and vbmeta.
Code:
fastboot set_active a
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash product product.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
4. Wipe userdata.
Code:
fastboot -w
If you are on the Moto G8/G Fast and your display cutout is misbehaving, enable your overlay like so:
Code:
adb shell cmd overlay enable org.omnirom.overlay.moto.rav
I've tested with Magisk v20.4 & OpenGapps Pico, to flash, temporarily boot into TWRP with fastboot.
Working:
Display
Touchscreen
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth (including audio)
Headphones via 3.5mm
Internal Speaker
Moto Actions
Calls/SMS/LTE/VoLTE on Verizon
Issues:
Vibration motor is broken
Stock wallpaper animation (fixed by changing it)
Rav (G8/G Fast) users must enable their overlay manually

Well now I know what I'm doing with my weekend!

Question
Work with normal sofia board and gpower ?

So, I get no touch screen when it boots. What did I do wrong? Also happens on pixel experience rom.
I have a moto g power usa unlocked version of that matters.

Good jog, asineth. Evertything work ok. The Gapp lack was bad to me.

Will this work on T-Mobile?
Just wanting to make *absolutely sure* this will work! I am going to purchase this model specifically https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084D89DBF/ and have a T-Mobile SIM on an unlocked Alcatel something-or-other currently for phone use.
Will phone calls, texts, and voicemail work on the G(8) Power at that Amazon link if I flash this LineageOS ROM onto it? I ask because the thread only mentions Verizon. This appears to be the same version crypysmoker has, upthread. I need this for professional usage, so working telephony and SMS is a must.

I think the general consensus for custom ROMs is that GSM networks(like T-Mobile and AT&T) generally work, provided that you have the right bands(which the G Power has). I think Verizon is mentioned because Verizon historically has problems working with custom ROMs and such. However, I don't think you should switch to a custom ROM if you're planning on using the phone in a professional setting. This ROM looks pretty new, and there may be bugs unrelated or related to telephone/SMS that haven't been found that may impact your work in a detrimental way.

Also didn't work for me with g power us unlocked. Got caught in a boot loop with the logo. Tried it several times, no luck.

Moto G Power US unlocked. Installed fine. Made it to setup screen but touch was not work so i could not proceed.

The gapps section of the guide does not work on my Moto G Power.
I send the boot command to go into TWRP and I get a black screen on my device.
Edit: I figured it out
DO NOT USE THE VERSION OF TWRP THIS GUIDE LINKS TO, IT DOES NOT WORK!
Instead, use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-power/development/sofiapr-twrp-3-4-0-0-t4128353
and fastboot into it.

As of 9/30/2020, the touchscreen function does not work properly with this build of TWRP.
You NEED TO USE a mouse to navigate through the menus, in order to flash Magisk and Gapps.
I spent 3 hours messing with this, and I hope I can save someone a lot of aggravation. :crying::crying::crying:
I'm now up and running on LOS, with root and Gapps.

Battery life on this ROM is absolutely out of this world!
My phone has been unplugged for 33 hours and got 8 hours of screen on time. and I'm down to 9%. I've never had a device have this long of a battery life. and I certainly wasn't achieving this on stock rom. Thank you for your hard work on porting this over to this device.

As far as I can tell from the repo and the testing notes on the site, this has been tested on the moto g8 power (sofiar) or the moto g8 fast (rav). Is this build commonized and supposed to work on the moto g power (sofia)? It seems @djdio68 and maybe @xT29c are using sofia, but I'm not sure.

Finally got it working and flashed Magisk too (I used twrp-3.4.0-0-sofia-test9.img found on xda here and flashed it to my recovery partition--using fastboot boot didn't work and I can always flash the stock recovery back if I want fastbootd). It turns out that the problem before was that I was using a very old version of fastboot (r23 instead of r30), which apparently wasn't flashing properly.
(BTW: If anybody knows where to find an arm64 binary of r30 fastboot or adb (platform-tools), or even just the source, pm me. I had to switch to using my amd64 machine to get Google's fastboot and adb binaries to work on linux.)
Thanks for the work @asineth. LOS seems to work great out of the box.

How is its performance compared to stock rom?
I am using a sofiar on september patch and with many google, motorola services debloated, and cannot be happier with battery usage which is just amazing.

Why don't you use Rescue and Smart Assistant (Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant)?

try but no work

Quick question to the creator.
Any chance to get the vibration work in a few month or so?
EDIT: I visited the telegram group for the G8 (https://t.me/MotoG8Official). There is an image to flash which should fix the vibration motor. I HAVE NOT TEST IT. But just wanted to let people know there is maybe a solution.

The boot.img in the telegram group named vibration_fixed_rr_havoc_boot.img should work on Lineage or PE, as well as RR or Havoc for g8, g stylus and g power.

Untested some guy asked me if I can port my build N from ghost so here u go
maybe we have the same bugs here like ghost.
please test and report.
What bugs should I expect ? Planning to test it over the weekend.
i wana try it but stuck on kitkat 4.4 su-6-7.7 firmware, any way to root in and unlock its bootloader
First you have to unlock the bootloader, but I think on the latest 4.4.su 6-7.7 isn't possible ...
Still got my droid mini around. Will do some testing for y'all.
Edit: Can't get this to boot. It's stuck on the BL screen and doesn't even reach the rom's boot screen. Using TWRP 2.8.4.0. Is there an updated one for obake?

I have not tried.
I was hoping I could try once the non working features are working.
Droid mini XT1030, stuck on the bootloader screen.
Can your team fix this?
from following the moto x (ghost) forums (my maxx is currently a ghost in droid clothing running aokp) twrp 3.1.1 is required iirc, due to some new wrinkle that needs support baked in for N. someone would have to port the unofficial one over in the other forum over to us. i can say though, that running ghost firmware, 3.1.1 works great on our devices.

don't we need TWRP >2.8.x to boot N? i ran into this issue a few months ago trying to use the ghost version of this rom. if you can come up with a 3.1.1ish build of twrp for my xt1080m, i'll be happy to test both out.
edit: in fact very interested. i've yet to be able to use my jawbone era earpiece via bluetooth without the connection dropping and phone doing a hard reset. probably highlights one of the few differences in the ultra vs x, if i had to wager a guess. if you have more targeted drivers, in fact i will beg you to let me.
edit 2: i'm good at capturing logcats for devs so they don't have to hear me ramble all the time to figure out wtf i am talking about.
Please don't let this thread die. We have now @tom.etc as a capable tester.

I got a droid mini for free. It was on an old software version, hadn't been touched in years. I unlocked the bootloader with sunshine and then let it take like 7 system updates until it was up to date, then flashed twrp 2.8.4
I had issues flashing the lineage os 13 unofficial for obake https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-ultra/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-obake-t3319958, it was stuck on the lineage boot screen. I was trying to use twrp 2.8.4 because that was the latest version I could find for this device.
As mentioned above, it seems that GHOST (Moto X 2013) software does work on the droid Maxx, Ultra, and Mini Family. I flashed 3.1.1 twrp_ghost from https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/twrp-touch-recovery-unofficial-t3309449 on my droid mini and it works.
When I tried to flash Lineage os 13 though, it would fail to flash, saying the firmware file wasn't made for ghost_verizon since I was using the 3.1.1 twrp from ghost, TWRP is under the impression that I am using a different device.
If you open the rom zip using WinRAR, and you can copy the updater-script located at META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script to your desktop, open the file, change 2 instances of "obakem" to "ghost_verizon", save the file, then with WinRAR still open copy the updater-script back into the zip. I flashed the zip in twrp 3.1.1 after doing this and successfully booted into lineage os 13.
I flashed lineage os 14.1 for ghost from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/rom-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3667515 on my droid mini using the 3.1.1 ghost twrp and lineage os boots! It has on screen buttons for back, home, and recent apps though, the hardware buttons aren't working. Also, as mentioned over there, the camera does not work.
Anyways, sorry for the long explanation. I tried getting this rom to boot in twrp 3.1.1 by updating the updater-script the same way but it didn't work. So there's some other issue causing this rom not to work. If you want nougat just flash twrp 3.1.1 ghost, and lineage os 14.1 for ghost, that worked for me.

since i have my device already reporting itself as ghost and not obake, i should not have to edit anything then. the recovery and rom should just work, no?
fyi, up through MM, the patch offered in this forum for lollipop has worked swimmingly for activating the capacitve buttons on any ghost rom i've tried. then its usually just a matter of disabling the navbar.

Yes. If you have the twrp 3.1.1 for ghost already installed on a Droid Maxx/ultra/mini, you should be able to flash ghost roms without needing to modify them, then flashing the patch you mentioned which does enable the capacitive buttons.

Does this automatically default to the current boot partition? I think there is no recovery partition. Wouldn't it be enough to fastboot boot the recovery, so the current kernel is not overwritten? (second partition set can remain unchanged as backup)

Very nice Rom, installed it and it works. One thing I couldn't find is an option to switch to 90Hz? Is it possible to get it to 90Hz?
EDIT: Found a way " adb shell settings put system min_refresh_rate 90.0 " does the job.
Nice Rom, keep up the good work. Thank you a lot!
Finally we are gifted with the boon of roms for this phone. Praise be!
But for real though thank you so much.
If've tesed the Rom a little bit, two things, first the Statusbar is a little bit to high and scrolling is a little bit stuttery (maybe something to do with scrolling cache?).
Other than that very smooth and stable rom.

Both and a lot more will be fixed in the next update. Meanwhile the refresh rate is set to 60hz hence your phone feels stuttery. That can be fixed with the following adb command: adb shell settings put system min_refresh_rate 90.0

Yeah, its the first build and for that its running pretty good, as you can see above I've allready fixed the refresh rate at 90Hz with this command, still some stutters but its ok.
Really looking forward for the next update, love the Rom.

Really looking forward for the next update, love the Rom.

Yepe too oh yes ok I didn't see it was you. The stuttering probably is because of the kernel not being polished 100%. Will prbably be a lot better in the next update
Tried flashing this ROM today, wifi still doesn't work after rebooting multiple times. re flashing yields the same result. Anyone else having this problem?

I completed the setup without wifi and once I got to the Homescreen, I rebooted the device and wifi was working.
Is this ROM for the 5G? If so is it for the unlocked version?

Late reply, but flashing the stock boot.img doesn't appear to fix things on my end. Will go back to oxygenOS for now. Hope that the next update makes the ROM more stable.
Hello Sir, I bought the OnePlus NORD N10 5G phone last week and wanted to use it for direct streaming with my new Hearing AIds. In the System/Accessibility menu, i ticked Hearing Aids Compatibility and paired my hearing Aids devices and they showed up as connected. Alas, no sound in my aids! They still come out from the loudspeaker even if I press the volume button and change the output to Hearing Aids. I know that ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) works well on PIXEL 3 and 4. Is it implemented in your ROM? I don't want to void my guarantee if there is no hope that it ill work. Thanks for your answer.

As far as I know unlocking your Bootloader on a OnePlus-Phone doesn't void your guarantee.
Help pls, not sure what I am doing wrong. I have a Oneplus Nord N10 5G and have once again had to rely on the MSM Dowload Tool at billie8_14_O.01_201121 to recover the situation!
Like on all my phones of past nearly 10 yrs, rooting is the best option for me. I wonder when TWRP will be available?
I managed to install the custom recovery as above but adb sideloading the PixelExperience_billie-11.0-20210306-2121-BETA-UNOFFICIAL.zip doesn't work for me. It crashes out about halfway thru saying it was expecting to receive file for the N10, which it is.
Just to clarify this Pixel zip file is for the Build Number Oxygen OS 10.5.7 BE86AA and after?? Thanks all for any advice/pointers

If you don't follow these instructions, or use 3rd party add-ons (like Magisk) please don't expect support here.
Known Bugs:
The EQ Apps for Audio Mods (eg. JBL2 App) won't work, and will crash.
Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor doesn't work -- No support present in the OSS Audio HAL. If it was written in, it wouldn't be used by anything in LineageOS, as the normal proximity sensor works fine.
Audio Mods have no alarm or notification audio through them.
Camera Mods don't (and won't ever) work.
Find any? Report them according to this guide.
Notes:
The only supported GApps package at the moment is MindTheGapps, linked on our Wiki page about gapps.
Official Lineage OS builds for nash ship with full Project Treble compatibility! Flash GSI's to your heart's content after flashing Lineage. Please don't report GSI bugs here, report them instead to the GSI's maker.
Code:
Technical details on our Treble implementation:
Treble is enabled with VNDK30, and VNDK runtime enforcement. VNDK runtime enforcement means that unlike most "ported treble" you'll see, ours is just as it would be from the OEM, and can run GSIs. without need for hacks or additional flashable zips. We relabeled /oem to /vendor (as /oem isn't wasn't used in custom ROMs anyway). To use a GSI, flash official Lineage, then flash your GSI, it's that simple! Flashing a factory image will likely write over /oem and remove the mock vendor image.

Oh awesome. Thank you for the hard work ! Glad to see roms still being made for this phone
Just flashed on my t-mobile device from recovery. My phone is bricked. The battery life on my z2 force was getting old anyway so I am probably going to have to get a new phone if I can't fix it.
If you have a t-mobile device DO NOT FLASH FROM RECOVERY!!!
I fixed it! Please make sure to flash lineage from your computer when you are updating to a new version of lineage... NP Johnson makes this clear in his instructions. Unfortunately it has been awhile since I have flashed a rom onto a phone and I forgot that step...
here is how I did it
fastboot flash boot_b recovery-nash.img
factory reset your phone
flash the lineage zip from your computer using adb sideload lineage 18.1 nightly
Very good upgrade, thanks for the hard work and making this real
Thank you for not letting our device die
Thanks a ton for keeping our device up to date! I see that the efficiency mode is working for the battery mod, amazing!!
The clock app is not working and I think usb tethering is not working.
Vibration is not working
Firstly, THANKS FOR THIS!
I get the following error when opening the Camera app: dlopen failed: library "libmcf-jni.so" not found.
HDR mode is missing and you still can't save to SD - otherwise seems to work OK
Install steps taken:
1. adb sideload lineage-18.1-20210401-nightly-nash-signed.zip
2. Reboot into the newly-updated 18.1 recovery
3. adb sideload MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm64-20210328_143848.zip
Since I was updating from 17.1 with Google Apps, I did not perform a factory reset per the upgrade instructions here: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/nash/upgrade
Was this wrong? Should I have done a clean install?

Flashing from recovery is fine - so long as you can see the zip, it's no problem. Not sure where your problem hit.
But thank you for ultimately flowing the guide and using your PC, it just raised and more seamless.

I'm a fan of Havoc OS Rom since i used it on my Samsung galaxy Note 3 4G (N9005) android 9 & 10.
This rom is awesome it's my third day of using rom on RM 5 pro. with no bugs till now.
I've some requests :
1- Quick setting doesn't 've option or button for adaptive brightness.
2- The recent doesn't 've option to view free memory/all memory.
3- In the old Havoc os for (N9005) there was an option on buttons to customize a button to Kill app.
This the options i remember now and i feel comfort with these ones.
1 :- it used to have in 4.3, after that it was nuked for some reasons.
2 :- the default launcher provides an option to clear all, it's there by default.
Glad that you liked the ROM

Oh, my bad. You can use 3rd party launchers like OnePlus launcher, AOSP launchers don't have that feature sadly.
I faced a problem may be it's a bug
1. when i connect whatsapp web on PC , the notification sound continuously ring every a bit of seconds and i solved it to make this notification as silent.
2. In spite of making the notification silent when sharing a video to someone via whatsapp web the notification sound continuously ring twice a second and i solved it to make this notification as silent.

SERIOUSLY BRICKED!!! HELP!!
I wanted to flash havoc, I was on latest firmware F.03 but with stock recovery and unlocked bootloader and i tried to flash through fastboot blabus twrp 20202802 recovery and i ended up on bootloop. I m not sure if i flashed vbmeta together or after i realized that i was on bootloop.
Anyway i found a guide on flashing ofp files through fastboot. So i downloaded C.04 update, extracted the .img files below,
Boot
System
Vbmeta
Vendor
and after flashing them....nothing new hapenned. Still on fastboot, no boot, no recovery.
I have tried all kind of random flashes since then that i found on the net but nothing worked.
Anyone have had this issue before???

Then flash The ROM.

You just need your recovery back first , try orangefox or other TWRP until you can use recovery
Then you just need to try flashing ROM .
Try 2 different type first try ROM with color os support and RUI support

i tried orange fox, twrp blabus old and new, several stock recovery, nothing worked. I'm trying now to extract from ozip stock firmware c15 vendor boot recovery and system through python, hope it works..
i ll let you know how this will end up.
For your information, i completely bricked my phone, not opening-restarting etc, flashing ofp file on fastboot didnt work, flashing every custom recovery that i found with or without vbmeta didnt work, clearing everything with fastboot erase commands and flashing all over again didnt work, so im back to 0.
If anyone can help, i would be thankfull.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

I recommend upgrading to S001142 for safety reasons (since I'm not really sure about the changes Lenovo did between the updates).
tried this rom on a x505f.
A few issues:
1. I couldn't get it to start unless gApps was installed.
2. I also can't get the wifi to work at all.
How do i install the update safely becauss im worrying about bricking my tab

1. I didn't need GApps here. What do you mean "can't get it to start"? Care to be specific?
2. WiFi works OOTB here, but it may be due to kernel (highly unlikely tho as I tested kernels of all 3 tabs on my X505L). Were you on S001142?

I have same issue S001142, no WiFi on X505F, toggle just flicks on/off instantly.
However works fine without GApps (only because it wouldn't install, not enough system space Err70 apparently)
Same problem on my X505F, no WiFi. GApps worked well.
Can any X505F users send logs? I would like to take a look.

happy to assist if you tell me what logs/where to pull them from, someone on telegram group said they were updating the image?
I tried this on my X505L and I couldn't get it to boot using S001142 and TWRP following the instructions exactly, is there a way to log or debug it if it doesn't boot, or do I have to reflash the firmware and hope for a better attempt?
Hi,
I tried it on my X505F and it was not as easy as I thought. I already had S001142 and started with installing TWRP as denoted here:
[RECOVERY][TB-X505F][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP 3.6.x for Lenovo Tab M10 HD
This version of TWRP works on the Lenovo TB-X505F (wifi). For the TB-X505X, see this thread. For the TB-X605F/L, see this thread. For the TB-X606F/L, see this thread. The X606F/L is the second gen M10 and it uses a Mediatek SOC. #include...

Installing Magisk led to some problems, though, as the wipe of /data afterwards prevented me from flashing the ROM ("Magisk binaries not found"). I had to install Magisk again *and* create a symlink from /data/adb/magisk to /data/magisk to be able to uninstall it again (additionally to renaming it to uninstall.zip etc.). Then I was able to flash this LineageOS.
It didn't boot, though, but was stuck at the Lenovo logo (very early boot phase). I flashed it again, but it didn't help. What *did* help was installing Magisk via TWRP Now the tablet booted into LineageOS, but only with an Android popup that some internal error occured and I should contact my vendor.
After having a black screen for a minute or so the LinageOS setup UI appeared and I was able to set up the clock. When reaching the WiFi page, I wasn't able to switch it on (like the other reported).
Attached you find a logcat and the dmesg output. I hope that's what you need.
I would love to try this but i do use bt audio so i look forward to any updates. i dont think ill ever see this thing run anything past android 10, but im not too worried about that, i know its an old cheap tablet. are you able to expand internal storage to an sdcard? my number one complaint about this thing is it always complaining of low storage.
Hay dose anyone have a copy of the stock firmware (so
TB-X505F-S001142-210804_ROW.zip)
I had the exact same experience as this. Ah well... It would've been nice to strip out this Lenovo bloated ROM with something sleeker.
