I really hope it's a bug as you said because i really liked this device so much. If anyone else tried this please share your results here. Thanks in advance

Just checked, same issue, I have a 4G Variant SM-G780F. Most likely a bug.

Mine says original.

Same here, based in UK, 5G version.
Must be a bug .
Edit: By looking at the recent Playstore reviews for the App, it looks like quite a few folk are experiencing the same issue.
I really wouldn't worry. I know that mine was brand new ?

I also have the same problem after checking my S20 FE 5G using Phone Info(SAM). I bought it recently on 25th june 2022.
The result says:
It looks like your phone is a refurbished one.Warning: Manufacturing date does not match with the serial number.Device usage counter:
Charger connect = <root>

Decoding serial number for build date?

Does anyone know how to decode the N6 serial number to determine build date? If so, do you use the number on the box, or the number in the bootloader menu on the phone (they are different).
Thanks.

Your nexus 6 box has a date on it? I didn't see one on mine.
In the fastboot, the time I see in the BL: line is 2014-10-21

No it has a serial number.
My box has a date and it is a day after the date that is in the Bootloader barcodes section.
Your box should have a date. Look carefully.
If you need help post a picture with your IMEI/SN blanked out and I'm sure someone will help you.
Bottom right corner of the label. That's where my newest nexus has the date printed.
No date on mine

the boxes differ, depending where you bought your nexus 6.
That must be it then. I bought mine from Best Buy, for Sprint service, back on Black Friday. I broke my screen and had an RMA and was sent a brand new sealed retail box from Moto last week. Both boxes are identical and have the date in the same spot.
There's no date on my (UK) box.

I bet retailers like Best Buy and the Carriers request dates on the box so whatever backstock they have can be rotated while Moto/GP don't keep a backstock so there's no need. The fact that the labels are totally different tells me it's a request by the retailer.
Mine was purchased from Rogers. I'd speculate that the above post is correct.
Purchased online through Sprint.
I'm trying to relate the back cover peeling issue with the build date of the Nexus 6 device.
Anyone has this issue? if so what build date do you have?

Same as mine. No date. There is something called "SeQ# 26026611" I assume this means sequence number, but how to decode?
Boot into download mode with power + vol down.
Volume down until barcodes.

no clue, and look at the android robot, what is that sign below it?
You should never show your Imei online but it looks like a bad box but the firmware seems legit. But then again those Chinese are good!
Looks like a clone to me. The sticker under the battery and the Chinese letters in the recovery are dead giveaways.
It says on the box that its not real Note 4.
Note4 is SM-910
This is SM-9100 !
Judging by these pics and my good eyes and experience with chinese clones, thats a genuine Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910F, but the package is a generic one. The phone seems to have some manufacture fault or its bad refurbished: reason of why it doesn't have S/N. a proper description of your problem would be nice for us since I can't understand what problems are you having now other than missing S/N or a chinese recovery. You even have signal and mobile data connection... i thought (by the title, before reading the article) that your phone had missing parts ("mutilated").

what do you mean missing s/n?i
see one in the picture, am I missing something?
I agree though, thorough description of issues needed.
maybe it's a special developer device running some special firmware? rip it and up it for all to enjoy! hahaha :/

the only thing I saw that was "off"upon first glance was the paper says 16gb, but device is 32gb..
I hope whatever issue you are having gets worked out good luck
Why does it say it's 1800mAh battery? Isn't Note 4 supposed to have a 3220mAh one?
Sent from my eXposed C6603
seems to be a legit note 4 variant from china that has 16 GB flash and probably dual sim
check this youtube video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng-gxk8_Cbk
the android firmware info shows the european firmware on it. probably someone took the piss cheap note 4 china variant and flashed european firmware on it to sell it to you
The phone in the picture is a N910F as it shows on the sticker under battery, phone looks legit and the screen looks like AMOLED.
The phone in the picture is not dual-sim, but the box is for N9100 aka Note 4 Duos (dual-sim) which i think is the only NOTE 4 version with 16gb internal.
Run some benchmarking tests and posts the results here. If is legit, you can go ahead and download and flash the latest N910F ROM and flash it through odin. This should get rid of all the Chinese words in recovery.

That's not 1800 mAh, it's 1800 mA charging current.
Does the box say its 16gb??
It seems to be very legitimate for me.... try to find the new rom for the n910f and put it through odin
I have returned this device a long time ago, after I posted the pics... can't you all see the scratches on the bezel? It has clearly been "tampered" with... and the box does not correspond to the actual item inside. That is my point. I am not saying it is FAKE. I have given a review on the seller on amazon to beware of the particular seller, and amazon somehow deleted it. They are protecting the seller, not the buyers...
edit:
Yes the phone connects to H+, but not on LTE even when I'm outside...

Samsung extras. Is there any way to order before getting the phone?

I'm sorry if this has been asked already. Is there any way for me to order the charger and memory card before I get the phone? I pre-ordered through Best Buy back on 9/1.
Thanks

Only if you order direct from Samsung, where they'll send you the phone and the bonuses together. Otherwise, you need the phone in hand as you have to send the your phone's IMEI and MAC address. Plus I believe the easiest way to get the promo is to sign into the promo app from your Note 8 which automates a lot of the application.

I ordered the Note 8 and had to call ecommerc (1-855-254-4747) to confirm the extras, and was told that even though I ordered it online, I still also have to wait for the phone to be in my hands in order to complete the registration using the Samsung account and filling in the Note 8's IMEI. I also asked if I could just log into any Note 8 and use that IMEI, but they need the one tied to the order or it will be rejected (I tried haha).
SO.. The extras promo is handled just like carrier / retailers. Samsung.can orders aren't automatically filled. We will have to wait for the physical phones complete the promo registration from pending to completed and then wait for them to ship.
Thanks. The first thing that I'll do is install the app and order the extras. Then it'll probably take a month to get them.

Yes: back to the store where you bought it from (with proof of Purchase) and ask for a new phone (or maybe they have the solution)
Is this the local SIM activation that some models require? I thought I read that they have to do this with some regions, activate the phone with a local SIM card before it can be SIM unlocked?

Check your phone's imei to see if it's blacklisted or not http://imeipro.info/
However, if you unlocked it and was locked again, chances that the device is reported lost/stolen or has unpaid bills.

How to find a rootable Pixel 5 (non-verizon or non-company network)

I am going to buy a used Pixel 5 tomorrow. I want to quickly confirm if I can root the Pixel 5 given that its already updated to Android 12? And also how do I know if it isnt from Verizon or some network phone as I think I wont be able to root that as well.
If any one could please confirm this fact quickly I can buy it without hesitation.

If someone isn't willing to share the IMEI, don't buy it.
Your best bet would be through a site such as Swappa, due to their policies that help prevent users from getting screwed.
Or, you could buy an unlocked 5a direct from Google; the hardware is identical to the P5, with the exception of a larger battery, 0.3" larger screen, and 6GB RAM vs 8GB in the P5.
