Black screen bricked pixel 4a - Google Pixel 4a 5G Questions & Answers

Accidentally flashed sunfish (Pixel 4a) instead of bramble (Pixel 4a 5g) on my pixel 4a 5g device....
Now the phone is just a black screen.
I tried holding volume Down while pressing power.
My computer is detecting the phone as QUSB_BULK_CID but ADB is not detecting it nor is android flash tool

hi, you may try to follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...k-fix-your-dead-malfunctioning-phone.3876849/

Hello, this is a wrong thread. Please move it into questions and anwsers.

Did the same dumb thing... So we hardbricked our phone with installing the wrong bootloader. Is there a guide or a fix around somewhere? In the device Manager the phone is recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. I saw similiar fixes for other devices.

I know it's been a long while since you had this problem, but as I have to face it myself without any clue how to solve it I thought it was a good idea to recover this thread.
First of all, let me say it happened to me with a Xiaomi mi5s. I had already installed adb & fastboot, as well as Xiaomi drivers from the Xiaomi Unlock Tool.
The problem arose when I made a partial firmware upgrade through fastboot in order to install LOS 14.1 via TWRP. I could not geet into fastboot mode, the screen went completely black and no charging LED. Curiously my laptop (Win10) made a tiny nose everytime I pluged or unplugged it (the same one it does everytime you plug a new device) and saw that it recognised it as a 'Qualcomm HS-USB qloader 9008'. More curiously, Xiaomi Flash Tool (BTW, it was the beta version although I guess the latest version would have worked as well) recognised the device although everytime I tried to flash an official firmware I got a message error: 'cannot receive hello packet'.
Well, after some research I was scared because I didn't want to open the phone to unplug the battery or anything. But I read somewhere that someone had the same problem as me and that he tried Xiaomi Flash Tool until it worked.
That was it, that was the clue. Xiaomi Flash Tool ready, having initially recognised my mi5s, the phone connected to the laptop, I made the combination to get into fastboot (holding volume - & power button) until my laptop made a tiny nose (the same one I explained at the beginning). As soon as I heard it I left the phone and clicked on the flash button on Xiaomi Flash Tool. Yes, it worked out. I installed latest development chinese MIUI rom. From there, I got into fastboot, flashed a new recovery... Well that's another history, the fact is that the mi5s is working again and I must say I feel really relived.
If anyone encounters the same problem I had I hope this post is of any help to him/her.

MIPAD 4 Plus BRICKED

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my MIPAD 4 Plus, without any reason it stopped working, I can't turn it on, the charging screen or the LED does not appear, it was with the original Chinese firmware and without a custom recovery, when connecting to the PC it detects it as ''Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008'', so I think it is a system problem.
I was looking for information and only found that maybe the bootloader is damaged.
Could anyone help me please?

Bricked 9T pro

I bricked my 9T pro when I mistakenly flashed it with 9T rom
Now the phone is recognized in device manager as QUALCOMM HS-USB QDLOADER 9008, It won't let me go into Fastboot mode to flash with Mitool.
screen is black all the time, no vibration while pressing power button.
Is there any solution for this, guys? I really need a phone to do my job and I'm kinda in a pickle right now :crying:

Download proper drivers of qualcomm from below link (all instructions are given)
https://xiaomifirmware.com/downloads/qualcomm-hs-usb-qdloader-9008/
Then use xiaomi tool v2
https://www.xiaomitool.com/V2/
It will detect your device

Thank you for the reply! I already had installed that drivers and the problem is, that Mitool V2 says No devices in fastbood mode found. I can't put my phone in fastboot mode :crying:
EDL mode
Put your phone in EDL mode and then flash the official ROM with mi flash tool (search on google how to put Mi 9T pro in EDL mode) do it with your own risk as it involves removal of back glass panel and shorting of 2 pins on the motherboard.

redmi 4x stuck edl mode

Last night I turned off the phone and today I want to turn on but nothing only black screen. not able to charge, when I connect to PC I hear sound but only in the device manager can see COM/LTP ports Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM4).
I read this is the EDL mode but I don't know how started in this mode.
I installed the ADB, XIAOMI Drivers and MiFlash. After I flashed a chinese stock rom and after flashed the latest global stock rom. The flash was successful but When I disconnect and reconnect again to PC my Redmi 4x is still in EDL mode...
I tried the 2-3 buttons restart and some youtube things but the results is same: Redmi 4x stuck EDL mode.
Plz could anyone help me?

Question sweet hard brick

hello! i tried to flash the stock miui via fastboot, unfortunately, during the process i had a blackout, and the pc shut down... as a result i have the redmi note 10 pro (sweteu) in hard brick, the pc recognizes it in "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader" what do you recommend me to do? fortunately i still have an old mi a2, however i would hate not to try to restore this little gem of a smartphone.
Can you still get into recovery / fastboot?
