[Q] "Connecting to DM server..."

Any clue as to what "Connecting to DM server..." actually is, how do you stop it from saying that, and finally, how do you get rid of the 2 little arrows on the top of the screen, that are the result of that "Connecting..."?? Thanks!!
If you enter Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Menu button > Filter > Tap ALL > You will see Device Management.
This app checks for firmware updates from AT&T.
Also in the Applications setting menu you have Running Services. You may tap to close the Device Management service.
You can also use a startup manager to stop Device Management from auto-starting.
Also, you can root the device and use Titanium Backup to completely uninstall it. However you'll lose the ability to update Over the Air.

Deactivate battery optimization for some apps

Hello guys,
I've recognized that I don't receive notifications on time. For example I receive E-Mail notifications or eBay notifications quite late. I guess that it has something to do with huaweis battery optimization. However I couldn't find the place where I can grant some apps to receive notifications on time. Could aynone pleas tell me where I can find the function to do this? Thanks.
Settings -> Apps -> Apps -> Settings -> Special Access -> Ignore battery optimization

Can't change sound in messenger?

I am surprised to see that you can't change the notification sound in the stock messenger app. All I see is the ability to turn sound on/off. Am I missing something?

Open Messages app -> 3 dots on the top right corner -> Settings -> Notifications -> Other notifications -> Advanced -> Sound ?

Question Gmail app will not show notifications

Hi all,
I'm having to resort to posting here before I pull all of my hair out.
I'm running stock MIUI 13(.0.10). In the Gmail app, my account settings have notifications set to 'all'. The 'manage notifications' button that brings up the system settings has notifications enabled (sound, vibrate on). Sync is set to last 30 days, and enabled. General settings > manage notifications has everything enabled through the system settings as well. Apps > Gmail > Battery Saver is set to no restrictions.
What am I missing? It's not that it's not alerting to notifications but they still appear, they are just not present at all. I manage multiple inboxes through my primary Gmail account, and this is hugely annoying.
