It's a scam, Huawei devices can't be unlocked, don't trade 50 bucks for nothing
Edit: There are ways to brute force the bootloader unlocking but most sellers are scammer

Oh thanks for answering, some people on Huawei forum said its working but i want confident on their answer.
Do you know how to brute force it ?(paid or not)

does it really not work? i like the selfie cam

I would really love to get root. That would fix alot of problems. I am altso willing to pay if someone can find a working solution

Even if you did find somone that wasn't scamming you to unlock your bootloader, you'd be hard pressed to find any dev that's working on rooting this device.

But maybe a stupid/noob question. Does not unlocking te bootloader let me use magisk and twrp?
At least it did with my mate 20 pro. (i do not want custom rom, only safety net pass (for gpay) and certified device in play store....

Unlocking your bootloader is the prerequisite in order to start the process of rooting. Unlocking the bootloader doesn't root your phone. It just allows you to start the process off rooting. Without an unlocked bootloader, you can't root. As far as I know anyway. I'm not an expert haha

Well, that really isn't the case. {Mod edit} So its not outside the realms of possibility that an unlock service for the P40 Pro is possible.

Yea that's what I said: "There are ways to brute force the bootloader unlocking but most sellers are scammer". Nothing is impossible, especially when hacking, but as there are way more scams than legit guys, I prefer not giving too much hope about it.
Edit: I just looked at your link, there say the same about huawei. I should've precised that this problem impacted "new" (actually 3 years or so) smartphones.

saw someone on youtube that had his p40 pro unlocked , so there must be a way to unlock the bootloader , but what benefits that we get after unlocking the bootloader when there is no developmemt for the device.

So again. How about that link.? Searching gsm fix on youtube kinda makes all hackvideos on the net turn up in result. Not seeing a p40 or a bootloader splash screen.

Yes, that would be a big hit if mauronofrio could get that working!

Just bought Mi 9 Lite and I have some questions

Everytime I have had an android smartphone, I unlocked and rooted straight away. I know what benefits unlocking the bootloader and rooting the ROM bring to the whole experience of using the smartphone but I have never actually looked or thought about the negative effects of unlocking and rooting.
I just received my Mi 9 Lite last night and I am just about the unlock its bootloader and get Magisk flashed. But before I do that, I am interested in people's opinion about what they think of rooting their phone.
- Can I root the stock ROM without unlocking the bootloader? I have heard this is possible but no idea how! If yes, does it have any limitations or is it the same as rooting after unlocking the bootloader?
- Does anyone have any other valid reason for not unlocking their device except warranty and maybe system updates? They always warn you about security, system updates and finger print sensors not working etc... is this true?
About the system updates, usually Xiaomi publishes the flashable ROM on their website which I can download and flash it manually so I don't have to worry about missing out on ROM updates.
Warranty wise, I am not too concerned either.
Security wise, I don't think this is an issue too as I always know what I would be flashing and installing on my phone.
Thank you.
I used some rooted device before . Don't no what you need, but, with this phone WITH NO ROOT, it's possible to uninstall or freeze some app, using blokada, you can stop/ block many thing.... and keep a clean and fresh device, with no mod, like out of the box ; )
I'm also getting this phone, can anyone from Europe confirm if Mi 9 Lite supports Carrier Aggregation? (LTE+)

Welp. I tried unlocking yesterday and I got the message saying I need to wait 168 hours. Damn.
One reason to maybe not root/unlock is it can stop NFC payments being made?
Just got my phone and i'm super impressed so far (especially by screen), the performance is surprisingly good aswell. Now waiting 168h for bootloader unlock..

Unable to unlock bootloader {RESOLVED}

This is my first time posting on this forum, please do correct me if I'm doing something wrong or haven't provided some information I should have.
DEVICE: Redmi 4x (santoni) [Indian Version] running on MIUI 11.0.2 | Stable.
I've been trying to unlock to bootloader for this device for about a month but it always seem to run into some error while running the official miunlock tool (latest). Along with the offiicial tool i've been trying to use XioamiToolV2(latest) as well but sadly it throws the same errors
I've tried most of the suggestions dropped here on XDA as well as Reddit, but none of them seem to work for me.

I saw this and the guy says he waited 5 days for it to work.
" If unlocking does not work in first try, don't keep trying again and again (don’t try at one time)..just give a break and try unlocking again for the next week."

Question Android 13 DP1 locked bootloader !!!

I installed A13 DP1 my OP10Pro(NE2215) software but it is not working with a locked bootloader.cannot get pass the password setup screen or connect any wifi also it keeps saying try another PW option.i cant fastboot any stock rom it says locked bootloaders cannot do this.I cant enable oem unlocking dot in developer settings because i cant pass setup screen.phone is stuck this stitution.any method for EDL tool or for unlock oem unlock ?
Well if you can't get past the screen you'll have to contact support and see if they can remotely flash your device with the stock software. If they can't/won't do this, you will have to send the device in for service. Without an unlocked bootloader, there's nothing you can do.
If they do it, try to snag the MSM files before they can delete them

If you hit the X in the top left, does it give you the option to skip setting a password?
EDIT: Nevermind, watched the video again and I see it just takes you back and makes you do it again.
I assume you tried factory reset from stock recovery too to make sure nothing got corrupted?
This is why I always unlock my bootloader before I tinker with anything.
Hopefully they agree to remotely flash it for you.
I did

That's unfortunate. I hope you can get them to fix it for you.

He said on the OnePlus forum that they didn't even answer. It seems like it's probably true that they aren't going to do remote flashing anymore for devices outside of China.

Ok so that's the last straw.
This is my final OnePlus device.
I really hope the tensor chip v2 does a job cos that the only avenue I'd consider at this point unless the nothing phone actually is decent.. Which I can't see.
OnePlus is screwed..
Why the hell did I sell my 8 pro.
What is the point of having a development forum for a device that isn't being developed for?
I'm done with the turd, it's a bullet taken nothing more.. I took one on the note 4 and the Evo 3D
Thought I was past all that.
Jesus.
If we were to get ROMs they'd have been out by now, it's not happening mate, period.
OnePlus is the new HTC. All that promise and no desire to stay faithful.
It is what it is, I won't buy another 1+ again.
Pixel only now

Yeah it's incredibly disappointing that they're going so south with regards to being dev friendly, the same way Samsung did.
I tried extracting the OnePlus 10 Pro ColorOS MSM to see if it can be tweaked to flash units from other regions like regular MSM Tools can and the publicly-available decryption tools don't even work on it. I figured yeah, ColorOS sucks, but being able to unbrick and then use fastboot enhanced to get back to the right firmware would be a much better option but no, the MSM Tool they provide with it requires a technician to log in and the encryption method on the files is different from OnePlus OPS files OR Oppo OFP files.

Ping it to me please if you have it.. I'll see if I can get it cracked.
Afaik people have had repairs with the MSM outside of China, or so I've heard anyway.
I may know someone who can remove the validation

one plus support team offered me remote flash .but i solved already i hope u can contact them and solve ur problem
so i have to unlock bootloader to install A13 ?
I have some inquiries if it’s not too much trouble, guide me about this. These inquiries are displayed underneath here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ntly-being-sold-prime-day-discussion.4465075/
Sitting tight for most appropriate response straightaway. I’m excessively confounded here.
For me it worked without unlocking bootloader. There was everything normal expect having no network signal.
Try to factory reset in bootloader
