hi team,
good day.
i noticed that "eu roms" kept being mentioned. what does it mean?
will this still work for me as long as my redmi 9t is "lime" when running "fastboot getvar product"?
as i am from philippines and not from EU (maybe a dumb question but just want to confirm before flashing twrp).
thanks.

Xiaomi EU is a custom rom based from the original MIUI but with the EU version they removed ads and optimized system for better performance and include global features.

*/
Requirements:
Any Android One device with Unlocked Bootloader

Execute following commands
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot format userdata
Note: You will lose all data of your's after this
Install recovery through fastboot:
Download the recovery.img from here
Reboot the phone into bootloader/fastboot mode
Code:
adb reboot bootloader

posting stock recovey is not possible yet because there is no root method without cwm.
when OP get the DEVICE(mostly this saturday) he will put more methods for root without cwm.
that time he will post stock recovery too. so have little patience.

You now have to wait for someone to dump system image to be able to boot into system because you just formatted it. I will do it once I have my phone.
If you had followed the instructions cut to cut you might not have faced this.

Are you trying to install Magisk through the stock recovery? If so, that won't work... You need to use a custom recovery (like TWRP), or failing that you can let the Magisk Manager patch a copy of your device's boot image. Then you can manually flash the patched boot image with fastboot.
Code:
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
There are further instructions in the release thread.

Inside the firmware zip (you can also find them all here: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-Live-ZB501KL/HelpDesk_BIOS/) you'll find the boot.img file. That's the file you need to place on your internal storage and then patch it with the Manager. Then copy it to your computer and flash it manually.

You'll probably have to restore the stock boot image before updating. Then, when you're all updated, you patch the new boot image (from the new firmware zip) and flash it to your device.

Installation Process:
-You need ADB and Fastboot
1. Sideload rom.zip from recovery
2. restart to system (no need of factory reset)
Flashing for 1st time
In some cases slot b can be unpopulated or contain much older firmware than slot a, leading to various issues including a potential hard-brick. We can ensure none of that will happen by copying the contents of slot a to slot b. This step is NOT optional. To do this, sideload the copy-partitions-20210323_1922.zip package by doing the following:
-Download the copy-partitions-20210323_1922.zip file.
-Sideload the copy-partitions-20210323_1922.zip package:
On the device, select “Apply Update”, then “Apply from ADB” to begin sideload.
On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb sideload copy-partitions-20210323_1922.zip
Now reboot to recovery by tapping “Advanced”, then “Reboot to recovery”.
1. Download recovery provided here
2. Reboot to bootloader and flash recovery
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <recovery_filename>.img
fastboot reboot fastboot
fastboot flash --slot=all recovery recovery.img
If you are not in recovery, reboot into recovery:
With the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power.
Or
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
3. Now tap Factory Reset, then Format data / factory reset and continue with the formatting process. This will remove encryption and delete all files stored in the internal storage, as well as format your cache partition (if you have one).
Return to the main menu.
4. Sideload the PixelExperience .zip package:
On the device, select “Apply Update”, then “Apply from ADB” to begin sideload.
On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb sideload filename.zip.

Google Photos is Unlimited yes, because Google Photos is mask to Pixel XL. No OOS camera because i wanted to stay close to the Oneplus 8T official release and it is a pain in the ass to port it.

Why install the twrp since there is currently no flashed custom rom and there won't be any soon because of the mediatek soc which is little or not developed.
Have you unlocked the bootloader?

Reboot the phone to fastboot (Power + Vol Down)
Connect the phone to the computer using an USB cable (Preferred to use original cable that came with the phone)
Extract the fastboot files and open CMD/Terminal there.
Paste the twrp.img in the same folder.
Type' fastboot boot twrp.img' without the apostrophes.
The phone will reboot in TWRP after that go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP.
But why?(Again).
If it is to change rom version use this tool:

1. Find or redownload the TGZ file for your current ROM
2. Browse inside the zip file and find boot.img under the images folder
3. Copy this file to a temporary location in your PC first, and then transfer it to your phone
4. Install the desired version of Magisk app (V23?)
5. Run the app and choose Install under Magisk
6. Choose Select and Patch a File, then select the boot.img that was transferred earlier
7. A process will run and create a new .img file in the same folder where the original one was
8. Transfer the new file to your PC in the same directory where fastboot.exe is located
9. Open a command prompt window in that same directory
10. Reboot your phone to fastboot mode and connect to PC, USB2.0 port. Check for connection by running command fastboot devices.
11. Run the command fastboot flash boot_ab magiskXXXX.img
Once it's completed, run command fastboot reboot and the phone should boot and be rooted.
thanks for the support, but I have ascertained that I have problems with USB 3.0 I think that's all the problem, I'm very close to the solution, sorry but I leave your guide alone, if I have problems I will opt for your advice. Now I try the "fastboot boot twrp.img" with USB 2.0, then I say hello

How To Guide [GUIDE] [REALME 8i/NARZO 50] How to easily unlock bootloader, install TWRP and root!

Hello! I was bored and I thought that it would be a pretty cool idea to make an updated, universal guide to unlock the Realme 8i/Narzo 50, since there is no deeptest.apk or accessible fastboot for these devices.
THIS GUIDE WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA! MAKE A BACKUP!
/*
* This Guide is tested and working
* However I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about unlocking and flashing TWRP
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications.
*/
This guide is made for Windows.
Step 0
Requirements
Download and install the latest version of Python. (Windows 10/11; Other OSs)
Download and install USBdk. (here)
Download and extract mtkclient.
Download your device's drivers. (here, we will install them later)
Download this file and copy it to the mtkclient folder.
Open the mtkclient folder, right click on it while you press Shift and then click "Open in Terminal" or something like that.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Step 1
Unlocking Bootloader
Type pip install -r requirements.txt and press enter.
Type python mtk e metadata,userdata,md_udc and press enter.
Now turn off your phone, and while you press both volume buttons you connect your phone to the PC via a USB cable. DON'T RELEASE THOSE BUTTON EVER!
When it finished and while you continue to press both volume buttons, type python da seccfg unlock.
When the last command has finished, you can release both buttons, disconnect the phone and reboot it untill you see the Realme logo.
When you see the Realme logo, PRESS AND RELEASE THE POWER BUTTON!
This boot will take a while, just wait and re-configure your phone!
Step 2
Installing TWRP
Type python mtk w lk lk.bin and press enter.
Now turn off your phone, and while you press both volume buttons you connect your phone to the PC via a USB cable. DON'T RELEASE THOSE BUTTON EVER!
When the last command has finished, you can release both buttons, disconnect the phone and reboot it.
Now turn your phone off again and turn it on while pressing Vol-, a screen like this should appear.
Now, with your phone connected to your PC, open up Device Manager on your PC.
Right click on the device that's called Android and press Update driver.
Select 'Browse my computer for drivers'
Select Browse and select the file android_winusb.inf that is in the drivers folder.
When you're done, close Device Manager, install ADB from here and open the app Minimal ADB and Fastboot.
Download TWRP and type in terminal fastboot flash recovery <path to TWRP>
When it's done, type fastboot reboot recovery and you should boot straight to TWRP!
Step 2
Rooting
On your PC, download the Magisk APK, rename it to magisk.zip and copy it to your phone's memory.
On TWRP, flash the Magisk zip and you're good to go!

Hi,
Connect phone to original wall charger and wait for it to BUZZ (5 to 10 minutes). Then proceed to pritish1998 unbricking method.
Also installing TWRP via this method should be tried with rui2.
Hope it helps
is this still work today 7/02/2023
