Below US snapdragon devices can be bootloader unlocked with above service as long as bootloader version meets below criteria. Bootloader version can be determined from the 5th character from the right on the baseband version or build number, in some cases from kernel version
Below Method is no longer supported if you choose to use the unstable method below you do so on your own
This method is brought to you entirely by @elliwigy He is the reason for this exploit and method.
With that being said, Extreme Syndicate Root is now available!
Before Starting This Process Get A USB2 Mini Hub You Are Most Likely Going Too Need It​
EXTREME SYNDICATE ROOT METHOD
​OEM Toggle Does Nothing On US Model Phones
This root method breaks things and most likely will not be able to be used as a daily driver
You can be on any version bootloader. This will update you to V9 bootloader
This method will work if you are on Android 10 or Android 9 Pie but will put you on Android 8 Oreo. There is no root for Android 10 or Android 9 Pie
You will not be able to use magisk
You will not be able to flash full custom rom like Lineage or any other AOSP roms however GSI system images can be used
You cannot flash custom boot images or recovery images such as regular TWRP
Odin does not work on some later computers with USB 3.1 chip controllers the only work around is using a USB 2.0 mini hub
It is your responsibility to make sure you can use adb properly
Root will break things such as safetynet so deal with it

- Safestrap recovery is now available with working MTP while in Safestrap
- This does NOT trip KNOX so don't ask.
- Bootloader is of course still locked.
- This uses some partitions from combo firmware which means 80% battery.
- Each variant will have its own post in its own download section. Download the right stuff!
* Variants this should work on are: N960U/U1/W, G965U/U1/W, G960U/U1/W. If you do not have one of these variants then this forum is not for you!
- Initial files/method will leave you on Oreo stock root.
- It works on latest rev's from rev1 up to the most recent revs.
- As of the initial first release, all variants have an issue with MTP not working except while in Safestrap
- S9 and S9+ also might have some issues with the selfie cam.

Instructions to Inject Safestrap:
1. Download and unzip Safestrap_S9__Cmd_Line.7z for your device
2. Plug phone into computer and run Safestrap.exe
3. Follow instructions on screen to enable USB Debugging
4. Then from there the process will be mostly automatic just follow prompts on screen
5. When done flashing BootSwap file you need to hold the buttons to boot to recovery but since we swapped boot and recovery images it will boot system.
Instructions For Flash Rom:
1. Download below files and copy files for rom to phone system img and vendor img and odm zip

2. In safestrap flash system img then vendor img and odm zip .
3. Choose data wipe and advance and check data
4.. Now reboot system you will have to hold buttons to reboot to recovery until you see safestrap splash then click continue. You must do this on every reboot. If you do not it will reboot to stock recovery. If it reboots to stock recovery just reboot system and hold buttons to reboot to recovery again.
5. When rom is booted up your computer will not recognize the phone for mtp file transfer. Adb does still work so you can transfer stuff that way (you need to switch to ptp transfer method in the dropdown) or use USB adapter and use a thumb drive.
6. Biometrics do not work so don’t try to setup fingerprint or face recognition.
The GSI rom mtp works GSI rom is rooted already just flash phhsupersu.apk found in GSI_Rom zip
If using other GSI roms you have too choose A_Only ones and will probably need to flash the Sh_Remover.zip found in the GSI_Rom zip

I did, but you made two posts, one that you said no files have been created and not tested then also state that it has been confirmed.

As of right now it's still detecting su binaries. So Samsung Pay probably may not work.

On my G965/U1 I do not even see a "/system/etc/init/init.lab.rc" file on my device, is this because I am updated to the latest Android 9 December 1st security patch?

Don't worry about it. It will work on it, it's been proven to work exactly on Android 9, Dec 2019 security patch.

Install Instructions
You must be OEM Unlocked Bootloader
1. On Initial unlock of phone you must through setup and be signed into your google account.
2. Reboot phone too download mode
3. Use patched 3.14 odin and load files in USERDATA_***_AIO_TWRP_3_5_0_0_RECOVERY.tar.md5 in the USERSDATA slot of odin and flash firmware. If updated firmware for example from android 9 to 10 load full odin firmware in appropriate slots with above file in the USER DATA slot and flash
4. Phone will reboot to TWRP and automatically install stuff needed.
5. Phone Will reboot 2 times back to TWRP to remove encryption if data is encrypted and continue automatic install. If data is not encrypted and no wipe is needed phone will reboot once to TWRP and continue automatic install.

Ignore it. You can access internal storage and mount data correct?
Edit: You are talking about the red warning error in Twrp correct?

Yes its for g9650 and yes you will be android 10 and you can only roll back if that rom is v6 bootloader

I'm sorry I didn't specify, it wasn't however in twrp, when I tried booting into system it said system is encrypted and I need to enter a password to get into my phone. I fixed that issue! I had to instead of deleting data and cache, I had to format data and enter yes to confirm formatting entire phone. I restarted it hung then restarted again, I was finally in, I then came into another error as my setup kept crashing when trying to restore from google account. I flashed that zip that you posted for samsung mods, it got passed that. I finally got into the system and passed the setup, the fingerprints etc pin anything locking the phone will not work... is that normal? as of now? Plus I can't get my samsung account to work at all, it keeps saying to sign-in again to continue using my account, sync is broken. I can't get any photos back etc as of now,. as eveything is on my samsung cloud and I really don't like my phone in-secure as I always have nosy friends. I'm pretty good at trouble shooting but these right now are my issues. Magisk is working and functioning properly, idk if it's a problem with magisk because my other device (Huawei Honor 8) has the same issue with Magisk and the password on lock-screen. My s6 Edge Plus has no issues with Magisk 20+ though and has lock screen functions etc. fingerprints.

Im sorry for some reason the OP reverted back to an early state on my direction. I updated them too state that you should add any accounts or set any security until you are through setup. You may not want to restore data and start fresh on this as this is not a sm-g9650 rom anymore its a sm-g965u rom. Just by chance who is your carrier? Fingerprint and all lockscreen security works fine for me so maybe wipe data and go through setup again without connecting to wifi or adding any accounts or security

the quick answer is yes it can.
basic summary of the process
activate developer options and toggle OEM unlocking
boot into download mode (might need to plug the phone into a PC not sure) and follow the prompts at the bottom of the screen to complete the unlock.
this WIPES YOUR PHONE COMPLETELY!! back up any files or photos elsewhere.
download the magisk app
download your current firmware or a whole newer update.
copy the AP archive from the firmware to your phone... 6GBs ish
open the magisk app and select to patch a file
patch your AP archive and then copy the newer patched version back to your PC
flash the patched AP along with BL CP and CSC (just to be in not mixing firmware files together).
boot phone and open the magisk app and follow it's prompts to complete the process and that's it.
we have telegram groups for the FE where guys will help you and I'll share a video someone made on rooting the Exynos FE... it might differ from what I've just described if it goes on mention flashing twrp (you can skip that if you want).

I was able to change CSC for instance...
And can perform Software Update with FOTA Delta files... aka update.zip
Tested on GW4... but chance for GW5 very high it also work.

Canada has (or at least Telus has) the SM-R925F and I unlocked the bootloader on it (which performed a factory reset but luckily I backed up yesterday so all good). Where to go now?

How to Root Samsung S23/S23+ *Newbie Guide*
Attention, FYI:
The Root method was performed and successfully tested with a Samsung Galaxy S23 SM-911B/DS.
I do not guarantee that it will work on the other models, I can not test it because I do not have the devices.
However, it would be nice to hear if you have done it on another device model and it all works out, post here in the forum which model you have rooted.

WARNING
Before you root your device you must be aware that
This will void warranty.
As of now you will lose Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass forever if you root once, even unrooting won't help.
There are many features stop working when you unlock bootloader other than S pay/Pass like Samsung Health, Secure Folder, Galaxy Watch pairing issue, Issue connecting old gear watch (S3 or earlier), Google Pay etc but ROM is patched for all these mentioned features. Still you may trouble using some bank apps and these may fixed by adding these apps to Magisk Hide
There may be some knox features there which you may not able to use but I can't list those as I never used. Just Google It
Patched featurs are working today when writing this, No idea if it may stop working next moment/tomorrow or later
Also to note, once you root, you can't go back to "pre-rooted" state completely. It is one way!
OTA won't work once you root device.
Once you root the device, you will forever receive the following message: "Access denied - Unauthorized changes have been made to your phone. To get help, contact Customer Service.". Even if you reset the device back to factory settings and lock the bootloader, the message remains !!!! (with root there is a solution).
ROOT with caution.
You can unroot & Relock bootloader after flashing stock firmware, but still your warranty flag remain 0x1 and most of countries it still voids warranty. Also after unrooting & relocking bootloader, some knox features never work again.
First of all you need the following tools.
*A previously unlocked bootloader is the prerequisite!!*
Download last Samsung Drivers.
Download Odin v.3.14.1. (Thanks to realbbb)
Download Frija or Bifrost (Github Info)
Download Magisk v26.1 (Github Info) (Please use only this Magisk APK.)
1. Go into your Phone to developer mode and activate USB-Debugging
2. Install Magisk v 26.1 APK.
3. Download your (new) Firmware in Frija or Bifrost and Unzip File to PC.
4. Unzip Downloaded Firmware.zip.
5. Take from Unpacked Firmware.zip the "AP" to your Phone and open Magisk.
Go in Magisk to Install (from Device Slot) and take file the "AP- Data" from Storage and patch.
6. After Patch go your Download Folder from Device there is a MagiskPatched .tar Data. (your new AP-Data !)
Take the MagiskPatched.tar Data from your Phone to you Computer. (in same Folder like the Firmware files)
7. Open Odin on PC and turn off your Phone. Once your device is turned off > Hold Vol. UP + DOWN and Connect your USB-C cable from PC to your Phone. (Now start your Phone in Download Mode.) > Klick 1 time Vol. UP to start Download Mode.
Now in Odin your Device must be connected like "0:COM (Number)" in blue.
8. Now take from Unpacked Firmware.zip >
BL to BL
AP to MagiskPatched.tar
CP to CP
CSC to ***Read Attention***
*** Attention important!!! ***
#CLEAN - If you flash the first time Magisk clean on your device you must use the "CSC_OXM". (Accordingly, you lose all data and must set up your device again!!!)
#Update_Firmware - If you already have Magisk on your device and only make a firmware update take only the "HOME_CSC_OXM" !!! With the "HOME_CSC_OXM" you will not lose any data!
Start the Flash in Odin. (it takes 5 - 10 minutes!!!) Make sure that the cable is not accidentally touched / disconnected. It is best to use the supplied cable! Make sure that the cable has no loose contact and is seated correctly!
9. When the flash is finished, Odin says 1/Successful.
Your device will now restart automatically.
10. Once your device is successfully booted, open Magisk-App and you are successfully rooted. (A further reboot is automatically performed by Magisk!)
Finish !!! Gratulation !!!
If you have rooted your device I recommend the following Magisk extensions:
- Magisk Bootloop Protector v1.8.1-10015 - Safe you from Bootloop if u add wrong Magisk Module.
- BusyBox v1.0.4 - must have...
- SafetyNetFix v.2.4.0 > to pass SafetyNet and use Apps like Banking, etc.
- digitalkey_disabler_afaneh92 v1.0 > to FIX pop-up message "Access denied - Unauthorized changes have been made to your phone. To get help, contact Customer Service.". Even if you reset the device back to factory settings and lock the bootloader, the message remains !!!! (with root there is a solution)."
- ***Knox Patch v.0.5.0 (Thanks to BlackMesa123) > to FIX any Samsung Apps.
***For the KnoxPatch you need LSPosed v.1.8.6-6712-zygisk-release + KnoxPatch-APK + the KnoxPatch-Magisk modul.
Attached I have created a folder where I upload more Magisk extensions and APK tools for the S23. I will try to maintain it. If something useful is added I will pin it directly.

Do you have experience with ROM tool from Dr.Ketan? In this Magisk module there is an AdFree option and a lot customization. I thought that then KnoxPatch isn't needed because the fixes are also included.

Yes, I personally use the Dr.Ketan Pro version. However, I try to work without the ROM-tool this time.
There is the ROM-tool-apk and if you pay the ProTwearks-extension-apk.
The problem is that you have to reset all settings in both tools after each system update, so I personally see no advantage in the ROM tool. With the last firmware update I was a little too hasty and have even shot me the ROM tool.
Unfortunately, Dr. Ketan makes no FULL ROM for the S23/S23+ so you have to live with it.
The Pro version is personally only for debloat.
On the subject of AD-Free, this is a nice extension, but this is a non-configurable AD-blocker, so you can not set personal configurations such as adding exceptions. So the classic and well working way use AdAway.
For AdAway there are some sources, I recommend if you are lazy the GoodbyeAds source + Own Exceptions.
Regarding the Knock Patch, I can't say anything about it, I use the file I pinned + LS-Posed (as a shortcut) and it works fine.
My SafetyNet is PASS.

If you have the possibility to unlock the bootloader, it should work. The steps do not change.
However, I can't guarantee that it will work, so you have to try it at your own risk.
As far as I know, the bootloader cannot be unlocked on the US models, so you have no possibility to root there.

Did you use Magisk S23 version.
Last week my S23 rooted with the procedure in OP and have still root.

I had exactly the same problem, so it is very important to use exactly this Magisk version, which I have linked. Also, after installing Magisk, do not update Magisk for the time being.

No this is the APK which was posted in the "How to Root" topic by Dr. Ketan. This is currently the only Magisk APK that works with the S23 models.

I have only uploaded everything separately in my cloud, on the one hand so that I can find the data quickly, on the other hand so that I can always keep the data up to date.

The only thing stopping me from rooting is losing Samsung Pay, which allows me to pay for public transportation without needing to unlock/authenticate.
Is there a way to retain Samsung Pay after rooting?

No there is (currently) no possibility to use SPay, there probably won't be.
You can use GPay as an alternative.
But it is also all described above in the topic. Please read it carefully before questions are asked. Alternatively, use a translator...

I'm running into an issue rooting S23 Plus that im not finding any information about online.
My boot loader is unlocked, I've followed the process to root. After installing the patched file from Magisk, the phone boots fine and gives me the setup, but I get an error at the portion where I accept Samsung terms. I just get -45
If I erase the phone back to the default FW, the setup completes without issue.
Has anyone ever seen this error before?

Unfortunately not yet seen/had.
Try to reset your device according to my instructions, but for the first time without Magisk. Do not use the Home_CSC, but the normal CSC for the first time.
If your device can be set up and you get into the system, repeat the flash process with Odin, but now use the patched AP file and the Home_CSC file.
Now your device should boot, is set up and it should also have Magisk on it.

Okay, so just to confirm I'm doing this all correctly, since I'm fairly new to rooting.
I've downloaded the stock FW from Samfrew.
It contains 5 files.
AP, BL, CP, CSC, and HOME_CSC
On a clean install, I need to transfer AP to the phone and use Magisk to patch. After patch, I move back to my PC.
In Odin, I should be using AP from Magisk, then BL, CP, and HOME_CSC files from stock FW.
Is this correct?

I tried this step by step.
After flashing with BL, Magisk-AP, CP, and Home_CSC, the phone will not boot. Eventually it tells me I need to factory reset. If I factory reset, the phone will boot to the setup, but im still met with "-45" when the phone should activate.
