Hello, I'm new here - thanks for having me! - Introductions

Hey, I'm "Nonsmoker" from Germany
I'm highly impressed by all the tech wizardry that is going on here.
I have two (perhaps three) devices that I'd like to modify because updates are no longer available. Unfortunately, I have no prior modding experience or knowledge, I find the wealth of information overwhelming and the tech lingo may also be a bit of a hurdle. Recommendations for a start are much appreciated! Are any step-by-step guides available?
These are the devices that I have:
LeEco LeMax 2
Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10
I also have an old SonyEricsson Xperia Neo V. If possible, I'd like to breathe new life into it and make it usable for something.
I'm using Linux Mint on my desktop computer.
Any help is much appreciated!

Welcome!! That Neo V is a classic.

Afternoon my name is John I'm a quadriplegic I do OnePlus 6t custom roms. I'm currently running a dual booted 6T.

Hello, all. I’m also new here, and don’t see any way to post a new thread. Can anyone help? Thanks. Ed

Hello

Hi there,
I'm Nils and I'm frpm Germany. I like to learn new stuff and right now I'm also quite confused about all the new phones out there so I hope to get help finding a new device for myself since my 3year old nokia 7plus is dying.
Have a nice day.

Sure youll find good advices and stuff for your new device.
Chus!
Welcome to XDA.
You might want to get a used device running on Pie. A lot of needless and detrimental app restrictions on Q and above.

Hi everyone! I just found out about this site from someone after I posted a question about rooting androids of one phone brand to be rooted with a UI of another android phone brand, (like Samsung one ui on a motorola phone). I used to tinker with themes a long time ago on android phones but stopped and just regained interest after looking at all the new features that have been coming out for different phone models. I’m excited to learn more and learn how to navigate the site and learn how to root eventually!

Intro About Myself

Hi Everyone!
I am Justine. I liked to research and review gadgets, and I love to repair smartphones whether it is a software or hardware problem.
Basically, I love to modify Android by watching and reading tutorials. However, I stopped experimenting in 2018.
Right now, I am trying to cope up with the new technologies that can be used to modify Android.
Thankful to be here in XDA.
Stay safe everyone!

Hey Justine, welcome aboard!

Hi and thanks

Hi all,
I came across here, as I had lot of struggle to make some oldtime mobiles "compatible" with my children.
So basic topic is making androids children safe and re-use old, unsupported devices like S4, S5, S7 with LineageOS.
I want to take the chance to thank everyone, who has already contributed here, read already a lot of stuff and got some helpfull hints.
Best regards
QD

Hello and you are welcome! To XDA!

Hello Everyone

Hello,
I discovered this forum with my first rom (/E/ for the Samsung J5 Pro 2017) Which I kept until now
I see that now the same person made the /E/ rom for my favorite phone of all time that I bought this week the OnePlus 7T Pro
I'll wait a bit before moving to this Rom because I'm not entirely confortable yet with everything, and I'm not an exepert in all of this
Thanks everyone for all the guides and everything else, it's truly amazing !
Morceaux
Welcome to the xda family.
Cheers.
