Hi, I'm David. One of the RC's - Introductions

I've been a member of the XDA since 2013, and a RC for several months. I do actually live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I enjoy helping people getting their phones looking like they want them to look. We all pay a lot of money for these and I feel like we all deserve pleasant looking and well operating devices.

Enjoy the XDA ride David! Cheers

Thanks @Tulsadiver

Much respect to the XDA-developers community

My wife just bought an iPhone 3GS, she doesn't like HTC, prefers monkey proof devices and had an iPhone 3G for a year.
I was asking for some help on an iPhone forum, well the quality of help and the members realy s*cks, I'm talking about a well known forum with 100.000 members.
Now I really do realise what luck we have to have a community like XDA with people and dev's who spend time to help others.
Just wanted to show my respect and say THANK YOU for all the good things that happen over here...
RESPECT!
I second your opinion...here you do get the help and support that no one provides. Great post man!
Yep, XDA Rocks! Salute`
Long live xda!
AYE AYE
glad your all happy with our site
i must agree with you on some of the iphone forums i have been on.....not nice
agreeeed!!
XDA RULEZ!!
who like the ice-phone anyway(s)?
its all cause its got good apps...
hehe everyone over here has the same opinion, XDA rulez indeed!
please don't start flaming the iPhone, it's a good monkeyproof device for people who don't want to customise or just want something out of the box, the proof that we are more advanced users is that we are all here on XDA-forum

[Pointless] Thank you, XDA

I've been on these forums for a long time, though mostly as a lurker.
I've learned so much here.
I've seen so many people sharing so much great information, FREELY!
I've met so many great people here, who want nothing more than to contribute to the community (ie: you and I) with their massive intellect.
When I think about the over all spirit here, and the mature and open conversation that goes on... it almost gets me all blubbery and wet-eyed.
I have a Transformer TF101, a Nook Color, Nexus One, G1, G2, and Droid. I've been through those forums, and the community is universally incredible. I haven't seen much of the other forums, but I feel that I can safely bet that the community and massive knowledge there at least rival that of the other forums I've lurked on.
I am sorry for taking up forum space with a pointless post like this, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everything you guys do - all of you! Even if you aren't a coder, those of you who maturely and openly contribute to the conversation are just as awesome.
Thank you guys. I hope one day I will be as much of a code ninja as some here are, so that I can contribute to some of these major projects that just seem to come together so beautifully and effortlessly here, as you'll see nowhere else.
Thank you.
I'm still learning

+1! People, don't forget to use the "donate" buttons give support to this 1. awesome, 2. free, 3. FREE community and/or developers.

Well, I'm off to Kuwait.

I'm quite sure many of you have no idea who I am, but that's alright. I wouldn't expect you to.
Just wanted to give my appreciation to the MANY MANY devs here, in thanks for making my old devices much more than the manufacturers intended them to be.
I'll be serving one year of Active Army Duty (Deployment) in the Middle-East & Surrounding areas, hopefully still enjoying my HTC HD7, until around July of 2012.
I'll miss xda, as it's been one of my other homes for a little over two years now.
Love you guys, see you soon!
Have a great trip Be safe now!

Best of luck to you man, come back safe, or just be safe in general.
-Remember, Android hell is a real place and you will be sent there at the first sign of defiance-
Take care! Thank you for serving!
Good luck and be safe. I had the luxury of serving during peacetime, and I tip my hat to guys who are really putting it on the line.
It is a shame that troops are deployed without an imminent reason anyways..
have a great trip

[Poll] How old are you?

So this is not a place to call people old geezers or young $hit$. This is just for fun. We were having quite a good time talking about some of our older members here on XDA but it ended up getting some attention and was entirely off topic. I decided to make a thread here in general for everyone to come and join in. Feel free to include as much or as little of information as you want. How old are you? How did you get into Android? Do you build roms or anyting? (Personal or public) etc.... The reason this became so fun was because we have some guys over on the PN thread that are pushing 70. Super cool to see dudes like that still tinkering with phones since most everyone I know over 30 never change their wallpaper. Lets have fun guys!
Geezers!

No 20-25?* xD
No 20-25
So I'm 31 years young from Toronto. I've been loving android/XDA since the HTC legend. I have owned every HTC device released in Canada except the HTC 10, decided to go with a nexus and grabbed the 6p and never looked back. Absolutely the best phone I've purchased I don't develop but I try to help out as much as I can.
Cheers to all the good folk on xda!

There's no 40-45 option. I'm 43, been tinkering with various IT type toys since the '80s and running my own BBS's.
WOOHOO! 20 votes in and us old(er) guys are winning. :victory::victory:
Damn @snoprosledneck88, I hate to point this out but there is no option for the 41-44 yr olds
Double damn, reading comprehension failed me on the previous post.

@Judge Joseph Dredd would you please teach these kids some mafs? They seem to think that age progresses at the rate of 5 years at a time once you reach a certain age. I am sure it a Millennial thing .. but at my age I'd rather not rush it that quickly. Also as a side note, as I was tagging you @Judge Joseph Dredd I noticed a user that you must have made very angry at some point. The user is @Judge Joseph Dickass which quite frankly I am surprised made it in but yet impressed at the same time. Just one of those things I thought you may find interesting. Anywho ... please fix mafs in the poll and give @snoprosledneck88 a lesson in mafs and how it works. Bye @Judge Joseph Dredd have a lovely weekend.
