Hi, here's my guide on how install Xiaomi.eu MIUI 12.5 (A10) with all features of MIUI 12.5 on Redmi 8
What work
- All functions of the phone
What doesn't work
- Nothing
Note 1: If you fing bugs tell me in comments, maybe I could help you (I'm not the developer of the rom, look the official thread of the developer -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/redmi-8-miui-12-0-2-0-global-by-papp54.4226501/)
IMPORTANT ADVICE:I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device by not following the steps, all the steps were tested on my personal device and are confirmed, my device is Redmi 8 4/64
Installation Steps - Rom link HERE
Note 2: I did the installation coming from Mui 12.0.1 stock (flashed in fastboot with Mi Flash) and there was no problem in the installation process or in the boot process, IF YOU WON'T PROBLEMS START FROM THIS ROM
1- First make a backup of all the necessary information in case something goes wrong you can easily recover, Charge the battery at least 80%. All your data will be deleted during the process
2- Unlock the Bootloader if you have not already done it or do not know how to, follow this post: http://en.miui.com/unlock/
3- Activate début USB in phone settings, then reboot in fastboot and connect the phone to the pc with cable
4- Install on pc minimal adb tool (zip at the bottom), flash the TWRP (.img file at the bottom) recovery typing " fastboot flash recovery ", now drag twrp file near the command. Finished the procedure type " fastboot reboot " and hold volume + on the phone until you see the recovery screen
5- Scroll on the slider at the bottom of the phone screen to access in the TWRP
6- Go to Wipe -> Format data -> type "yes"
7- Go to Reboot -> Recovery
8- Go to Wipe -> Avanced wipe -> wipe dalvik, data, cache and system
NOW YOU HAVE TO TRANSFER ALL OTHER FILES OR IN THE INTERNAL STORAGE OF THE PHONE OR IN SD/USB WITH OTG CABLE
9- Go to Install -> Select the storage where you have files -> select "xiaomi.eu v12Pro by Papp54.zip" and flash it
10- Wait and then go to Reboot -> System
11- Configure phone and enjoy your new rom
HOW TO ADD AOD MENU IN SETTINGS (IT WORKS FINE):
Flash "AoD_olive_magisk2.zip" in magisk as magisk module, reboot and you will get it.
Note 3: I reccomend you to flash magisk after you have configured the rom to avoid problems
Note 4: I reccomend you the best gcam I've found for Redmi 8, everything works except slow motion, link HERE

It boost performances, don't use it for long time because it coul be dangerous for the phone.
Anyway, for better performances for example in games or benchmarks these are steps:
Install the apk, grant root permission, go in CPU, big cluster, select "Maximum CPU frequency" and go in GPU, select "Maximum GPU frequency"
Below there are 2 benchmarks, the highest is done with CPU and GPU boost using this rom

there is a new update on his telegram devs. a rounded icon and system optimisation.,can i flash that rom over the rom that i downloaded in this threads??

Yes, download in the phone and after go in settings -> Device -> MIUI Version -> click on the 3 points and after on "Select the packet of update" and select the rom you have downloaded for an OTA update. The phone will reboot in twrp and flash the new rom, after the installation reboot system and you will get the update without losing data and apps.

What Works-
-RIL(Calls,sms,lte)
-Bluetooth, WiFi
-Camera( Stock isn't that great) Use GCam)
-Fingerprint
-and pretty much everything
What Doesn't Work
-Iris Scanner(with high hopes that it'll work in future updates)
-Telephoto Lens( also may work in the Future)

NOTE-U need to be on a Treble Supporter ROM like Stock, any vendor will work)
GSI strands for GENERIC SYSTEM IMAGE
Instructions -
1. Check your device architecture and download the GSI.img accordingly, also download the appropriate gapps for this device
2. Reboot to recovery and Wipe system, cache, dalvik, data(backup previously if you want)
3. Go to install section and find the GSI(choose to install image)
4. Flash the gsi to system partition
5. Now REBOOT to RECOVERY again.
6. Now flash the Gapps.zip normally
7. Reboot to system
8. Enjoy!
[FIXES]
1. If bluetooth doesn't work the try Clean flashing again with latest stock firmware and Vendor
2. If Black screen appears when trying to add Google account then select Chrome in Android Webview Implementation in Developers settings...
Even if that doesn't work then to to twrp(backup data if required) then wipe system the flash GSi,reboot again to recovery and then flash Gapps( micro is recommended) now reboot. Skip the Google setup wizard by not connecting to WiFi or LTE. Now choose sideload Chrome(install via apk) and choose in Webview Implementation)
3. If webview implementation thing isn't working:
Backup data via TWRP. Wipe everything except data, sd card and internal storage.(wipe system partition also) Now flash the GSI again, reboot to recovery, clear cache & dalvik now flash gapps and reboot. Skip the setup by not connecting to internet and then go to dev Settings and choose chrome in webview implementation
4. If gapps give an error: that's most probably because of it detecting 8.1 or 8.0 firmware. So after flashing the GSI, reboot to recovery again then flash Gapps

You should get correct rounded padding on second boot (you need to wait a minute after first boot)
Quick question, when you mean i have to be on a treble rom before that, does it have to be a Treble rom or a standard lineage would work?#
When I try to add a google account the screen just goes blank!
what's working and not working will be nice to see in the OP and gcam version if u can... this'll Clear all doubts of people

[Guide] Flash MIUI OTA/Stock/Any MIUI based ROM from recovery without bricking device

Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
* Please do some research if you have any concerns.
* YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
A guide to flash MIUI OTA/Stock/Any MIUI based rom from recovery without any bootloops or bricking device.
First things first, if you haven't done any modifications to your device (not even unlocked bootloader), then this guide is probably not for you. Just update via the Updater app. If you want to unlock bootloader and root read this guide first then come back.
Now if you have unlocked bootloader with TWRP installed and encrypted device then you can flash full ROM from TWRP without any issues.
Staying on an encrypted device is recommend for better security.
To check if your device is encrypted or not go to Phone Settings > Passwords & security > Privacy > Encryption & credentials > check if it shows encrypted or not.
To decrypt your internal storage (Not recommended):
Make sure you have a backup of your data copied in PC.
- In TWRP go to Wipe and select Format Data(don't go to advanced). Type yes and format data. [This process will format all your data so make sure your data is backed up].
- Go back to TWRP home and Reboot > Recovery.
- Reboot > System.
Now if you check again in Phone settings it'll show "Phone not encrypted".
If you have a decrypted device and want to flash MIUI rom or OTA through recovery you'll face bootloop.
Then there are two solutions to overcome this issue:
1. After flashing full MIUI rom through TWRP you need to format data again. But you will have to backup your data to PC everytime as your internal will be formatted. And then you would have to go through the hassle of setting up your phone which takes atleast 15 mins.
2. A better solution is to use another recovery like OrangeFox recovery. It has a special MIUI OTA support. So you can flash MIUI OTA and any MIUI based rom from recovery without bootloop, formatting data or bricking device in any way.
Here's how to use OrangeFox recovery:
Make sure you have a backup of your data copied in PC.
These steps work for both encrypted and non-encrypted devices
- Download the stock MIUI Recovery ROM for your region or any other MIUI based custom rom of your choice, and copy it to your phone’s storage.
- Download the OrangeFox recovery zip from here.
- If you don't have any recovery installed right now then extract the recovery.img file from the zip and follow the "Flashing TWRP" steps from here
- If you already have TWRP then go to Install > flash zip normally. Your device will boot into OrangeFox recovery automatically in 5 seconds.
- Go to the Menu > tap on OrangeFox settings icon in top right corner, and enable these under MIUI OTA settings :
1. Support MIUI incremental OTA
2. Include system in OTA survival
3. Incremental OTA signature verification
4. Prevent auto reboot after installing OTA
5. Disable DM-Verity
6. Disable Forced Encryption (Don't enable this if you have an encrypted device already and want to stay encrypted)
7. Aggressive stock recovery deactivation
- Now go to the “Wipe” menu :
1. If already on a MIUI based rom and flashing your current MIUI rom zip then select data, cache, and dalvik.
2. If coming from a non MIUI based rom to MIUI based one or if switching from current MIUI based rom to completely different MIUI based one then select data, cache, dalvik, system, vendor.
- Now go to "Install" and flash your MIUI ROM. (This is just a one time process.)
- After the ROM is flashed, OrangeFox will start the "OTA_BAK" process, which will backup your system and boot partitions into the /sdcard/Fox/OTA directory. You must NOT delete any of the files in the /sdcard/Fox/OTA directory. If you do, then incremental OTA updates will most definitely fail.
- Reboot > system.
Now when MIUI notifies you that there is an update:
- Download the update, using the MIUI updater app/official website.
- If on an encrypted device allow it to reboot automatically to OrangeFox. If decrypted, boot to recovery manually and under miui OTA settings enable the Disable Forced Encryption option first and then flash OTA from recovery.
- OrangeFox will install the update automatically (this might take several minutes).
- Your phone will reboot automatically upon completion of the installation of the MIUI OTA update (If it doesn't then reboot manually).
- After this, you will not need to flash a full rom any more.
- Enjoy your updated MIUI

Hi,
do you think this procedure could work for willow (Redmi Note 8T) too?
I'm mainly concerned about OrangeFox package indicating ginkgo only...
Another question: when you suggest to backup data, you mean that everything (including installed apps and their settings) would be lost?
Thanks

Well the only reason I didn't mention willow is I'm not sure if orangefox supports willow or not... although I think willow support was added after 10.1 stable version and it's the same file as of ginkgo....
Yes you need to backup your internal storage and every app as you will lose all data/apps/internal storage files.

Yes you can root eu.. yes it'll also work in encrypted devices but under miui ota settings don't check disable encryption option so that you can still have an encrypted internal.. Yes you need to flash your current miui recovery rom once you flash orangefox. It's just a one time process for your current rom. Just wipe data, cache, dalvik nothing else.

[DOWNLOAD] [BETA-3] realme UI V1.0 for Realme X2 CN - RMX1991 [Updated]

.
Note: This one maybe the last beta, and it will be published as official realmeui for CN(1991) soon..
Bugs: Fingerprint will not work if you Root.
Do it at your won Risk
In this update will you be able to switch on to another launcher or you'll still be stuck with the default launcher of realme is?

You can Change The Launcher
I succeeded with installing realmeUI/Android 10 without wiping/losing data. It seems that the Greeting Wizard has problems with the Dark Mode so probably will be easier to pass it while on regular white theme. I did not see most buttons, options, languages, etc. Ended up with Malay language But successfully switched back to the one I need.
There are some sweet enhancements, for example with gestures and double-tap-to-sleep. First impressions are positive.
EDIT. Fingerprint sensors stops working as soon as you disable verify boot by fastboot flash --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img, so it is not directly connected to root access.
The only bug so far besides that is slow GPS fix (much slower than on A.14).

Hi folks,
this is not difficult to modify this beta ROM having FP working. There is no system partition check so it is safe to flash TWRP, immediately boot into it, mount it in RW mode and make any modifications needed. For example, after performing these mentioned steps make from your Linux machine
Code:
for i in FindMyPhone KeKeMarket KeKeThemeStore HeyTapSpeechAssist HeyTapSpeechService GlobalSearch CloudService Browser HeyTapUserCenter; do adb shell rm -rf /system/priv-app/$i; done
for i in SystemAppUpdateService GameSpace SoterService RomUpdate OppoCriticalLogService OppoLogKit_Beta ChildrenSpace BaiduInput Feedback KeKePay Shelper; do adb shell rm -rf /system/app/$i; done
Note. Of course, you need flash back stock boot and vbmeta to have you FP working again.
It also means we can root this ROM with old, system-way, using SuperSu and alike.
Just the day I flash GSI...
How is it compared to GSI?

Hi, I come from OOS Stable 9.0.11 root, I just uninstalled MAGISK via TWRP then I restarted and I went through settings then system and I did update locally and everything is fine past. I reflashed TWRP via Fastboot then root with Magisk the last via TWRP and it's all good !!!

The other one (official thread) was created on 25th November 2017 by Funk Wizard, when the first Open Beta was released. Ever since then, it has been used for announcing all subsequent Open Beta releases as well as gather feedback on them. Nonetheless, thanks for changing the thread title, I appreciate it!
Does any one have any idea how I can enable full screen gestures for OnePlus 5?
I flashed the open beta build and tries enabling on screen navigation buttons but it's giving me the old buttons
I tried using
adb shell settings put secure swipe_up_to_switch_apps_enabled 1
as it used to work on OOS 9, but this has no effect on the current open beta build
Thanks in advance
The wifi is randomly dropping for me then reconnecting. That happens quite often, anyone else experiencing it? I'm full stock with locked bootloader, haven't done a factory reset though.
this beta ROM can pass safety net with magisk?

Thanks for making this dev. The community was waiting One Ui 5 and you made that happen. Give some details about kernel in the change log.

Fun fact when I 1st open the rom and saw the task bar I thought it got glitch then I turn the task bar off and then full AOSP rom with one ui , great .
Ultra fast.
Taskbar enabled by default, cannot hide navbar so they are multiplying buttons.
NFC not working.

Things you need to download before going for the process of installation twrp v3.7.0 , tukirom zip 1.2 , stock device firmware, odin v3.14.4
I have put the tukirom zip in my SD card for flashing from twrp.
Installation Process
Step 1 Unlock the Bootloader or oem unlock from developer option in settings. (Search for Bootloader unlocking in m21 you will find the solution on internet)
Step 2 Boot into Download mode (Search for download mode in m21 you will find the solution on internet)
Step 3 open ODIN software in administration mode on the pc or laptop.
Step 4 flash the stock firmware. ( it is easy , but if need help say it , I will add it )
Step 5 after flashing the stock firmware the device will reboot and boot into system. Fill up all the details as per your requirements. And after the 1st you have to unlock again the developer option. (You know how to do that right ! )
Step 6 view in developer option if the oem unlocking option is visible or not . If not then exit from setting the connect your device with a wifi and then see if it is visible now or not. If not then restart the phone and connect to wifi 1st and then go to setting as see if oem unlocking is visible.
Step 7 after you are sure oem unlocking , boot into Download mode . And use the odin software to flash the twrp.
Step 8 Connect the device which is in download mode to the pc if not connected.
" Added " log will show .
Click on options on the side of log icon and unclick reboot.
Step 9 Click on AP and and select the twrp v3.7.0 zip file . (M215FXXU3CWB1 twrp , I had used this varient for my device.)
Step 10 Click on start and within a shot amount of time twrp will be flashed into your device. After the successful flash press volume down and power button for 8 sec and then direct press volume up and power button until twrp page shows up.
Step 11 Flash the rom from SD card
Step 12 Wipe/Format data
Step 13 Reboot
Please note that first boot will be long and
And compele setup without Wifi.
I have done the complete setup with wifi.
Task bar is automatically on on the 1st boot so you have to manually turn off it.
