Question 3 fingers touch to screen shot not working - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Anyone know how to fix?

You can xhange it in setting, just search for "screenshot". Aslo, to make a screenshot, you have to put 3 fingers and slide them down

On my device no problem such this.
make sure you had enabled it on settings.
Rom : 12.0.6.0 Europe

No, this issue is still not fixed yet by miui developers & especially with android 11 update (miui 12.x.xx) or latest miui 12.
Same with my poco X3 NFC in miui 12.5.1 Global Stable version

Try enabling MIUI Optimization in Developer Settings.

There is Magisk Module somewhere, try looking for it and try with that.
THE only Magisk version I have found is the one for MIUI 9 but it causes the settings to crash on MIUI 10 I need the one thats used in the PRO rom.

Miui Pro doesn't use Magisk Modules. They did the code themselves like many other things they have.

Can't change icons on miui 12 (india rom)
While using miui 11 on india rom, I was able to install icons packs & choose which to use. After updating to miui 12.0.2.0 I don't find any option to do so. Only system icons are available to choose between (classic & limitless). Any suggestions?

Question Mi 11 ultra - xiaomi.eu or global rom?

Hi, I have a 11 ultra Chinese version, after waiting 7 days to unlock and all of bugging twrp installation, I finished to put stable xiaomi.eu Rom on it. But somehow I find that eu rom now have a lot of small bugs.
Don't know that should keep it or go to global rom?
Xiaomi EU is overstimated, it may be good for west people who wants a debloated and translated china rom with Google services, but Global Rom is much better and also is faster

I didn't try myself the China ROM but I read it is more performing than the Xiaomi EU as well as Global and EEA stock ROMs
When I got my Mi 11 Ultra I started the process to unlock it right away since it uses the Chinese rom. However, by the time it was ready to be unlocked I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. The Chinese rom with the Google playstore installed does everything I need it to do. I don't really see any reason to change to the global or eu rom so far.

The Global Indian (IN) ROM is smaller in size as compared to the Global (IM) ROM and they are pretty much identical.
The IN ROM though has the Red Dot notification light displayed in the Rear Display when there is any notification.

Edit:
So this option is available in the Global MI Rom but you may also have to enable another setting which might not be 'enabled' by default.
Notification Access > Rear Display > Allow Notification Access
A regular notification option is available but it is pretty limited. I think it is for Spotify integration (music control) and Answering the Phone.

Quite content with the Global MI ROM
By IN ROM you mean Indian? Because the standard Global is easily rootable
Chinese rom is the best one. 120Hz everywhere.
Latest patches latest updates but no Ok google and no android auto. (At least in old versions of software)
I didn’t like global rom because many apps including YouTube is not working at 120hz.
Obviously China ROM is more updated and more refined,

1. MiUi dialler & Contacts - Didn't like it. Prefer Google
2. MiUi power down screen - Didn't like it. Still prefer Global ROM screen.
3. Google Assistant didn't work from lockscreen. It has to be running in the background for it to work from lockscreen (fingerprint protected)
The CN ROM does have some extra neat animations (like Battery Charging animations) which I would look to have. But I can do without it.
In Global MI ROM, Google Assistant is a system app I guess. So it's in the background by default? It works well from lockscreen.
Red dot notification in rear display works on Global MI ROM but doesn't work on the CN ROM. The Xiaomi.eu's (CN) ROM.

IN as in Indian yes
IN ROM latest fastboot ROM is v12.0.2.0 and then OTA update to v12.5.2.0.
I didn't know if I would lose root so I thought Global MI ROM is better. Lot more fastboot ROM releases and perhaps some added features looking at the version number and size of the MI fastboot Rom.

after two days of use, a syatem debloating, a settings optimizations, i think miui13 i better than 12.5. dark mode bug for apps is solved many functions of miui13 are missing, but i think will be implemented. updating to last systemui plugin, you can enable latest control center. so in my opinion is a good initial release.
IMPORTANT: IS NOT POSSIBLE UPDATE VIA MIFLASH. FASTBOOT VERSION IS NOT YET UPLOADED. ONLY WAY IS FROM GLOBAL VIA OTA OR TWRP. USER WITH PHONE BRICKED SURE HAVE FLASHED A WRONG VERSION. USE BRAIN BEFORE FLASH A FASTBOOT FIRMWARE IS IMPORTANT

uh, some of the people in my country downloaded the update file in MIUI updater app found in playstore, they downloaded Poco M3 Pro miui 13 but they experienced soft brick, some updated using the updater in settings (settings - about phone - update) they still got softbrick. I wonder if its safe to update because no matter what "they" use they still get soft brick

I also received both MIUI 13.0.1.0 and 13.0.2.0 OTA update notification for my Poco M3 Pro 5G even though I am not part of the Mi Pilot tester programme.
Have you updated to this release?
For this OTA update, did Xiaomi upgrade the Linux Kernel, Vendor and Modem firmware?
Currently, I chose to remain with Android 11 (MIUI 12.5.5.0) as most phone with Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset haven't release the Android 12.
i have updated, but seems equal to first rel. i dont understand the sense of this update
edit: 13.0.2.0 is the stable ver. so all user could recive OTA from 12.5.5
tip: install manually latest systemui plugin for have new control center
edit2: before 48 hours, i have noticed 2 crashes of systemui when i recived a call with screen off. phone ring but google phone mask missed, no notification, unable to answer the phone call. maybe depends from system ui plugin update but i'm not sure
edit3: i have a new clean installation of miui 13. seems better than update from 12.5.5
I did a static analysis on the MIUI 13 13.0.2.0 Android 12 OTA update and I spotted that the Modem firmware is downgraded when comparing to MIUI 12 12.5.5.0 Android 11.
For Android 11 MIUI 12.5.5.0, the modem firmware version is MOLY.NR15.R3.MP.V4.3.P70
While for Android 12 MIUI 13.0.2.0, the modem firmware version is MOLY.NR15.R3.MP.V4.3.P68
I'm curious why MIUI 13.0.2.0 downgraded the modem firmware release back to the same version used for MIUI 12.5.4.0

it depends what you exprct from. miui have the best ram management i ever tried. if you want to trick, you can with root and franko kernel app. but i suppose you are expert, or keep default setting. my free ram is 2,3 from 1,2 average without gaming. in ny opinion is very very good. render graph is under green line. no lags. how you say terrible??? kernel stock is setted for the use of most user. i suppose u have a particular apps that need a custom ram management. for use more ram disable or reduce zram. for free up more ram disable bloatware.but change scheduler is the best solution for you. by default is cfg. schedutils is the best. but root needed for change

it think is not a ram management problem. seem an incompatibility issue. try aosp gsi via dsu. if the problem go away the problem is miui. and flashing gsi is the solution. otherwise is a vendor incompatibility. but not a ram issue

Question What's the best version of stock MIUI in terms of battery life and stability

Hello guys
I would like to know just in case I went back to MIUI which version I should flash , I was happy with 13.0.10 overall, but there were two annoying problems the 10 seconds warning every time an app need accessibility permission and the MIUI battery optimization which interrupted the apps and cannot be disabled in version 13
right now I am thinking to back to either MIUI 12.5.1.0 or 12.0.x what you guys suggest ? also if there is any kernel that can improve stock MIUI please let me know
Thanks in advance

For me, latest 13.0.16 EEA has been the best so far. But people have been saying latest Indonesian version is the best for them. Try it out, also for custom kernels, I don't recommend changing as that would ruin deep sleep and fast charging.

I think any custom should be compatible with yours. Most incompatibility comes from 64mp one. Maybe some devs forgot to disable/remove NFC functionality for sweetin, in that case just don't touch that module.
Xiaomi.EU should be compatible as well
