Question TWRP and Custom Roms - Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Hey, Community.
I was wondering, since the Kernel vis-a-vis Devicetree are available and the bootloader is mostly unlocked, how far have the building of custom roms and twrp progressed?
If you have any opinions or updates on this matter, pls feel free to ust this thread.

[Q] Which Kernel for which Custom Rom ?

Previously I owned a rooted Xperia arc. At that time, almost all custom roms used to mention supporting kernels. But here in Z1 development, I found that Custom Roms don't mention whether they run on stock kernel or DEV Kernel.
I want to know it because if custom roms are running on stock, then I skip Unlocking the boot-loader. If they running on DEV kernels, how ll I know which kernel for which rom ??

We need a custom kernel for nougat!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I was wondering... How come we don't have our own custom kernel? Rigghttt?
I mean we do have one... But it's only available for Marshmallows. We all know that Nougat is the latest version and majority of user now have Nougat.
So... any courageous and brilliant developers out there who can make us or port us a custom kernel, would be highly appreciated.

Unlocking for custom roms and custom kernels worth?

Hey Guys, I've owned various devices and always unlocked and installed custom roms on them, but this device doesn't have too much custom roms, soo actually I don't have unlocked yet, who already unlocked is it worth it? the roms available(custom and treble roms), and custom kernels have better performance over stock? And if I wanted to return to stock I gonna have some kind of trouble or not?

[MI A2] Can you install custom kernel on Stock Android 10

Hi all
I haven't been on the xda scene for a while and haven't bothered with mods for a few phones now, but my A2 is getting laggy with age and i want to keep this phone a bit longer.
Can someone please tell me if a custom kernel can be installed straight on a stock android 10 rom, without having to root and install custom roms.
Also will OTA will work with custom kernel (if possible)
I already have an unlocked bootloader.
Regards

Has anyone successfully flashed custom roms on japanese versions of the XZ3?

I have the SO-01L Docomo version and want to try unlocking the bootloader using qunlocktool but I don't know if anyone has managed to flash and run custom roms on the japanese variants. Can someone tell me if I can flash custom roms after unlocking bootloader or not?
Currently
Which model do you have?
It's a bit of a pain for some rooms like the LineageOS 19.1 builds to have to flash each partition manually for the first install due to a bug but other than that haven't had any issues running any roms on my SOV39, even ones that don't explicitly support Japanese variants
