WaveOS 4.3 - Rasmalai
WaveOS is an android custom ROM based on AOSP, focused on delivering a perfect blend of aesthetics, functionality and performance out of the box. This version (4.X) is based on Android 11. Various optimizations and enhancements have been merged from CAF and upstream AOSP to maximize performance and battery backup, and improve OS functionality. We provide a unique and beautiful user interface out-of-the-box that's inspired by OnePlus' OxygenOS and can be tweaked to your liking. We've also added handy features and customizations that improve user experience and prove to be useful at the end of the day, rather than bloating the ROM with unwanted features and customizations that could cause stability issues. We hope you like it! #NeverBetter

If I'm not wrong, this one has OSS vendor. To which I have a question and a warning:
Question: is there a chance the custom vendor helps with problems such as deep sleep issues?
Warning: seems to need to fastboot flash stock MIUI to recover your stock vendor
Thought (bonus): gosh, having information in two places is not easy sometimes

If you didn't notice, that's another build. It's prebuilt vendor from grewal. This is OSS vendor and built by me.

Haven't noticed any deep sleep issues.
And yes for going back to prebuilt vendor ROMs, you might need to fastboot flash MIUI.

Correct, that's basically becasue there are no flashable stock vendor zips available, no one has bothered to made them. OSS vendor based ROMs basically work like this. There is nothing LOS or any other oss based ROMs in future can do about it.
@victorsrg That information is basically for you
Cheers!

Yes, recovery flashes the stock ROM with vendor too. But sometimes, if any stuff (like any partition) broken, only solution is to flash the stock ROM via fastboot using computer.

thread was formerly for LOS builds, now updated for wave

xiaomi.eu comes with stock vendor.... so i would be the easiest way returning back flashing xiaomi.eu image

FAQ
Miui Camera
Miui Camera support has been added:
https://github.com/ArianK16a/device_xiaomi_miuicamera I have started to work on my repo, it is basically done now.
I hope that this new structure will help me to keep better updated and organized then other repos.
The vendor/xiaomi/miuicamera will get recreated everytime one updates blobs and updating them is just running the script
Also device/xiaomi/miuicamera just includes scripts to regenerate makefiles and extract new blobs.
Gcam is stupid to ship imo because the user can't easily install his APK if he wants.
For miui camera it is different to gcam, you can never install miuicamera just as apk, you have to flash a zip which would override the stock one anyway. GCam as system just blocks other gcam apks...
So the next build will include this MiuiCamera instead of snap. Has anyone experienced problems while testing the camera at the system/root or the zip?
Permissions are fixed (look at the commits for further details).
AI features has been enabled, doesn't seem to make a big difference though

Treble
This ROM is of course Treble enabled, but you have to use AB GSIs now! This might be an advantage because all new devices ship as System-as-Root so most GSIs are available for S-A-R.
To flash a GSI you have to Flash the TWRP and LineageOS build but instead of booting at this point you have to wipe System and flash a GSI to system-image and boot afterwards.
This does NOT repartition your device to AB, it is still A only. Read about it here: https://source.android.com/devices/bootloader/system-as-root
Recent builds use System as Root.
Here comes an update for System as Root at sagit!
In Android 9, non-A/B devices should adopt system-as-root so they can be updated via a system-only OTA.

Wow, can't wait to flash it. Thanks a lot, Cozzmy13. Your job is great.
VoLTE is working?
Does Pie LineageOS require a more specific recovery to flash or the Treble enabled recovery that i used to flash oreo with is good enough
I think it takes a long time to Upload.

Hasn't worked for me on other Pie ROMs (although I'm beginning to suspect a SIM card issue but I've seen a couple people mention it).

This is a new custom MIUI based on xiaomi.eu, our target was make smoother and with better battery life, for do it we used stock china vendor, and our boot patched with preinstalled magisk 19.3. (if magisk manager propose to update, decline because magisk 19.4 is still canary so not stable. Go in magisk manager setting and choose as channel for update stable)

It won't be a 100% treble support yet, but at least with some hack's we will be able to boot up some GSI's.
(At the moment I'm nearly there to successfully boot up an AOSP GSI, bootanimation is already showing up)
But I will try to improve this as far as possible somehow.
An higher kernel version would be already great here, because VNDK force's the need of it,
but I try to hack this.

At the moment, I wasn't able to flash a foreign GSI and boot up (most of the Android GSI's are too big, but I will build by my own soon), I will get there and at least it could help us a lot to upgrade to Android 12 someday.

No,
official TWRP is still in the build and could be today available.
Then you just could flash an AOSP GSI (Android 11), but it won't boot.
I'm still working on it to get the first boot done, you will get all the information as soon I've managed it.
I've finally managed to boot up an Android 11 AOSP , it was a hard way to get there, you will get instructions how to install very soon.
My thanks for your efforts to always try to bring to our tablet the most up-to-date android versions. And I'm very excited about this new achievement, I know you must be working hard to adapt all these architectures to our old equipment.... Will we be able to flash a Pixelplus version on our N8000 in a little while? This GSI is with a look based on android 12 is very beautiful.
Can you get me a doubt my friend?
It would be very difficult to port the official Samsung TAB A Rom to our device?

If the GSI does fit in our system partition and if it's for our architecture available (and also based on android 11),
it should work with my hacks.
They should work at least with all suitable android 11 ROM's.
For lower android version's, I would have to develope everything from zero with a lower vndk version.
You could place a link and I would try it.

Hmm hard to say, there could be many problems to solve.
Another general thing,
what we would need for every ROM is an overlay,
for example:

Hello, when you using phh's GSIs, you may found bugs on auto brightness, battery usage data, etc (e.g: Xiaomi, Huawei, etc.). For this, you can make an overlay files for your mobiles. Requirements: framework-res.apk on your stock rom. (It may...

OK, I can't see any GSI there, only device specific zip files.
Hi,
My friend, very grateful that you still spend your time on our device. I couldn't find the link to download the TWRP compatible with GSI.
I would like to test.
How about an OctaviOS Gsi on our tablets, it would be cool to start testing everything that comes out

The new TWRP version is already online, but you still need the trebleized LineageOS from me.
As I'm facing problems with the wifi and RIL at the moment, I didn't published it, but I'm working on it.

You have to understand, that not every GSI will work, nearly less will as long the builder apply some patches from me.
But the good thing is, that everybody could apply them and make the GSI exynos4 compatible.
[GSI][11][ EXYNOS4 SMDK4412 ][N8000, N801X, N8020, I9300, N5100, N51XX, N7100, ...][ALPHA] [EOL]
Here you will find my exynos4 compatible GSI's. This work is based on the magic of @phhusson, so thank you very much for this. Don't forget, that you need an treblelized ROM to support this. Do you like my work? Than you can simply hit...

Here you will find the first AOSP GSI for our devices, as soon I've fixed wifi and RIL...
Update 06.07.2021:
WIFI and RIL fixes for AOSP
Now you can flash your first GSI on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
This update will be available via AFH and OTA.
The AOSP GSI is already downloadable.
Good afternoon,
Would have how to put the instructions to install the GSI? Is TWRP compatible?
I'm very happy with this development I always hoped one day to be able to test a GSI on our device.

Thank you very much! Going to test right now!
Wow! Great job
Only some days after AOSP published, you make it happen for our 3 years old phone!
Can't wait to flash this ROM!
Amazing! Thank you. I'm gonna give it some time before I test a rom with A12.
gesture navigation seems not to be working, at least on my phone
Very good, i am glad to receive this ROM, it is quite stable and runs more fluid than android 11, what the previous message says is true, the gestures do not work, and i have noticed something else, does anyone else freeze Chrome the minute they use it?
This is an amazing news! Thank you Abhi! Downloading the rom

same here netither Chrome or Edge are working, they both freeze after secs of opening them. Netflix is not working also.
The ROM works very well and is very fluid. With Brave or Opera there are no freezing problems. Some options are missing from the settings menu. Colors cannot be customized. In the status bar the icons for battery, wifi, network are displaced to the left.
The ROM seems to me that it works better than Android 11. However, the design and size of the quick buttons in notifications seems cumbersome, but that is a concept failure of Android 12.

Really wanting to try it but can't seem to find the download link. Can you help me out mate?
Installed this ROM without any issues, although booting up, after entering the password to enter into Android, it gave a prompt to erase all data because apparently my data was corrupt

Wait there's a difference between formatting and wiping in TWRP? I wiped it, yes, but how do I format it?
Nvm, I figured it out.

Nice. I always format data when I switch rom to ensure there's no encryption laying around, especially when trying new roms where encryption might not be implemented already.
I flashed the rom today, and after that
1.i could not boot into TWRP recovery, its shows TWRP screen and stuck there, anyone have same issue?
2.chrome crashes
3.brave not opening
4.screen cast not working most of the time
could not flash gapps because recovery issue,
Tried fastboot TWRP but fails
Sorry bad english

hey mate, you need to wipe everything and format before attempting to install the rom. Chrome doesn't work but Opera does, Screen Cast works on some apps such as YouTube, PlutoTv, etc. Doesn't work on Netflix yet. You don't need to flash gapps as it's part of the rom. Good luck!
So do you guys think that this ROM will have some updates?
I see it mainly as an A11 with A12 skin.
No Colors settings or something, or any customizing ones.
Anyway, for first half an hours, it's working fine.
Thanks,
LE: I've installed on old Evolution ROM and didn't wipe anything, and first boot was like an update.

First you need to have this recovery:

and you need to be on A12 (Miui 13 or any other aosp 12 ROM), boot into recovery, wipe data, caches, format if first time installing (no need if on another aosp ROM), flash rom, flash magisk (only if you want root), flash decrypt script (only if you want system wide decryption which makes backup and restore like a charm, if fully encrypted restore isn't possible), reboot system and you are done. Make sure you backup all your data before format, hope this helps, cheers.
Best A12 ROM, in my opinion and after trying all the A12 ROMs, fluid, thunder fast, no lag on fingerprint unlock, too early to say about battery consumption, gcam instals nicely and working fine (ultra wide lens working fine with stills and video and so is selfie camera) safetynet pass like a charm, magisk 24.1 (install safetynet magisk module), widvine L1 (netflix and all Google services as well as banking apps should be in zygisk enforce deny list), fast charging works well, Viper4Android working bang on perfect
Big thanks to dev for his awesome work, keep up the good work mate, cheers.
I am on your ROM with Apollo Pro right now and everything looking good. Thanks.
SafetyNet Pass and Play certified in default.
Battery drain is maybe little more than Arrow, I think, but I am on ROM only second day.

yes you are right its a bit heavy on juice, I think the cores need to be shut down on idle, its possible only if a custom kernel was available, cheers
