Amazing work @html6405 ! I never thought I'd see this device get Project Treble support, I'm amazed! Now all we need is a kernel dev to upstream our ancient kernel. @Don Carnage where you at?!

It won't be a 100% treble support yet, but at least with some hack's we will be able to boot up some GSI's.
(At the moment I'm nearly there to successfully boot up an AOSP GSI, bootanimation is already showing up)
But I will try to improve this as far as possible somehow.
An higher kernel version would be already great here, because VNDK force's the need of it,
but I try to hack this.

The new TWRP build's should be up very soon. (Today planned)
At the moment, I wasn't able to flash a foreign GSI and boot up (most of the Android GSI's are too big, but I will build by my own soon), I will get there and at least it could help us a lot to upgrade to Android 12 someday.

No,
official TWRP is still in the build and could be today available.
Then you just could flash an AOSP GSI (Android 11), but it won't boot.
I'm still working on it to get the first boot done, you will get all the information as soon I've managed it.

I've finally managed to boot up an Android 11 AOSP , it was a hard way to get there, you will get instructions how to install very soon.

My thanks for your efforts to always try to bring to our tablet the most up-to-date android versions. And I'm very excited about this new achievement, I know you must be working hard to adapt all these architectures to our old equipment.... Will we be able to flash a Pixelplus version on our N8000 in a little while? This GSI is with a look based on android 12 is very beautiful.

Can you get me a doubt my friend?
It would be very difficult to port the official Samsung TAB A Rom to our device?

If the GSI does fit in our system partition and if it's for our architecture available (and also based on android 11),
it should work with my hacks.
They should work at least with all suitable android 11 ROM's.
For lower android version's, I would have to develope everything from zero with a lower vndk version.
You could place a link and I would try it.

Hmm hard to say, there could be many problems to solve.

Another general thing,
what we would need for every ROM is an overlay,
for example:

OK, I can't see any GSI there, only device specific zip files.

Hi,
My friend, very grateful that you still spend your time on our device. I couldn't find the link to download the TWRP compatible with GSI.
I would like to test.

How about an OctaviOS Gsi on our tablets, it would be cool to start testing everything that comes out

The new TWRP version is already online, but you still need the trebleized LineageOS from me.
As I'm facing problems with the wifi and RIL at the moment, I didn't published it, but I'm working on it.

You have to understand, that not every GSI will work, nearly less will as long the builder apply some patches from me.
But the good thing is, that everybody could apply them and make the GSI exynos4 compatible.

Here you will find the first AOSP GSI for our devices, as soon I've fixed wifi and RIL...

Update 06.07.2021:
WIFI and RIL fixes for AOSP
Now you can flash your first GSI on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
This update will be available via AFH and OTA.
The AOSP GSI is already downloadable.

Good afternoon,
Would have how to put the instructions to install the GSI? Is TWRP compatible?
I'm very happy with this development I always hoped one day to be able to test a GSI on our device.

Still no sources but Mokee seems reliable... Don't really know what to do.
As you pointed out the kernel version does not correspond with the description
maybee they use the source from one plus 2 (same processor) and make changes using the official miui rom, don't know
I tried this at the beginning but gave up because of the lack of time
I checked the OP's Github but there are no recent activities about our device
Aaah I want to try it so much !
can you give us Marshmallow?
I can confirm it is working ! It's pretty impressive since everything is working.
My only issue is that I can't get 4G, I'm stuck in H+ does anybody have the same problem?
Hmm no kernel sources released and it works, well guess I'm going to be downloading it tonight haha! btw I stickied and highlighted your post on miui forum
Kernel sources not available until 19-03-2016
Source http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=228046&extra=page=1&mobile=2
Very impressive.
After few hours of use I can say that battery is not bad. Not as good as Miui but still good.
Performances are excellent, haven't noticed lags.
I experience some issues with the data, I lose 4G and sometimes I can't even connect to internet but it is rare and never lasts long.
The options available are great and AOSP is simply perfect !
I do not understand why we have to wait until 19/03/16 to get the sources but if this is true this will be the beginning of real development on our device !
Same problem to me whit miui sometimes lost conection whit internet (data)

Also finding this rom smooth and fast. Finally something that is not miui! Like others, no 4G is my only major issue.

This is an unofficial port of LineageOS cm-12.1 to our Samsung tab 7.7. I'm a beginner in building custom roms, so please be patient with me. This rom is based on the device tree of DanielHK with small modifications to run smooth with its low memory. Compare to my CM-13.0 - here almost all works - Bluetooth, Kindle app, DRM. I tuned it strongly to get Lollipop fast enough. Still there are some lags starting apps - but it's quite usable - try yourself

Hi,
I just have registered to say thank you. :good: :good:
I'd like to ask if you know more stable version than this, because the device reboots randomly while browsing or watching videos.
is the device so outdated that it can't be used on daily basis ?
I'm running Cyanogen 12 but it's too heavy, that Rom lightest wheel? Have fixed the bugs?
Great Work .. Thx
Is the device and kernel tree stable? Hoping to *aquire* a tab 7.7 from a generous member on the cite and hybris 12.1 is much nicer to work with than 11.
I would like to thank you bro for the good work.
I think this ROM was the best ive tried for my p6800 out there. There is a few bugs but I dont mind it becouse I'm only using my tab for watching anime.
Support miracast?

Hi,
Thx for your work.
Happy New Year
Love this recovery! Just found it!
Hope its still actively being maintained! So much better than the dated looking twrp!
Hi @rhewins2268 ,
It is indeed a very welcomed recovery, a refreshing change to the interface too.
Sadly, I don't feel it's actively being worked on anymore, if you go to the main website, you'll see the maintainer has come away from the project or so it seems. This may not be the actual case, and the person may choose to dip in, dip out as of when they have the time to do so. But from the website, it's not actively being worked on.
https://orangefox.download/device/klte
Thankfully, the developer of this recovery is the OP of this thread... and so they maybe able to provide feedback, and do the odd tweak now and then.
I've only just jumped on the S5 in the last year or so, and it does feel like development is slowing down/dead. Despite me feeling there is way more life in this device yet. All these custom roms offer WAY GREATER performance than stop. Under MM 6.0.1 STOCK, my S5 was grinding to a halt. Yet under Android 10/11 its as smooth as anything... Lets hope there is still some Devs out there, that will give multiple roms to choose from, from the likes of haggertk, khalvat, curiousrom and many more...
After all, I still have an S2 and that recently got Android 11... so there's hope yet !! ;-)
Cheers, Lister

It is but not like every single update, only the necessary ones. Like I will be updating with R11.1 when I get time and fixing the small things left here and there.

Like I mentioned in the previous post I will be updating it but only when necessary.
@Yillié
Just wondering if you were going to update this recovery for Android 12 when/if roms come out for this device?

If there would be something required for Android 12 roms which would not be present in this recovery right now then if surely do.

WaveOS 4.0 - Rasmalai
WaveOS is an android custom ROM based on AOSP, focused on delivering a perfect blend of aesthetics, functionality and performance out of the box. The version 4.X is based on Android 11. Various optimizations and enhancements have been merged from CAF and upstream AOSP to maximize performance and battery backup, and improve OS functionality. We provide a unique and beautiful user interface out-of-the-box that's inspired by OnePlus' OxygenOS, and can be tweaked to your liking. We've also added handy features and customizations that improves user experience and proves to be useful at the end of the day, rather than bloating the ROM with unwanted features and customizations that could cause stability issues. We hope you like it! #NeverBetter

I'm testing this rom for several days and I have to say that everytjing is working fine, including camera, flash, sending and getting calls, screen mirroring...
No many customization options, but everything working fine by the way.
Thanks and comgratulations for your job, Thago

Not much change. Maybe the same.
Hi, I now have this ROM (see attachment). To install WaveOS do I need to update the firmware or do various downgrades, or can I install the ROM directly following the instructions?
Thx
You've done a great job! I migrated from stock MIUI 10 and I feel the entire system works 10 times faster and better. It seems that everything works properly: radio fm, wifi, 4G, bluetooth, camera photo & video + flashlight, LED indicator, 2DTW, screen rotation, vibration, 3 physical button navigation. Charging and discharging behaves as expected.
At first run I installed all the apps on the internal storage and there was about 3GB of free space left, so I formatted my 16 GB external SD and moved everything to it. Now I have 10GB of free space on my internal memory.
What is working as not expected (WaveOS 4.1):
— Gesture navigation works except the swipe from either the left or right edge to go back (this issue was confirmed by other users on other forums).— Some parts of the firmware are still in English i.e not translated (I'm using italian).— Scrolling screenshot
I really hope you will keep to maintain this firmware because the problems found appear to be at the software level.
As mentioned earlier, swipe actions are not working from both sides. Plus did not find any option to turn off hardware nav keys. Kindly resolve these issues in the next update, hope it will come soon.
By the way, as far as I have experienced installing numerous ROMs in Redmi 4A, this ROM is the smoothest, fastest and beautiful one (no offence what so ever). Aesthetics of the ROM developer is good. It also has decent battery backup, so I will stick to it and wait for bug cleanups.

Hey Thago,
I really liked the Custom Rom that you created. It is very smooth with almost zero lags. There are some times that there is a foreclose e.g. extreme battery saver, but, all in all I really liked it. Great Job!

Hey Thago,
I have installed the ROM and it is perfect. There is only some small inaccuracy in the Italian translation.
Thank you very much
PS. If you tell me where the translation files are I can fix the errors.

If I'm not wrong, this one has OSS vendor. To which I have a question and a warning:
Question: is there a chance the custom vendor helps with problems such as deep sleep issues?
Warning: seems to need to fastboot flash stock MIUI to recover your stock vendor
Thought (bonus): gosh, having information in two places is not easy sometimes

And yes for going back to prebuilt vendor ROMs, you might need to fastboot flash MIUI.

Correct, that's basically becasue there are no flashable stock vendor zips available, no one has bothered to made them. OSS vendor based ROMs basically work like this. There is nothing LOS or any other oss based ROMs in future can do about it.
@victorsrg That information is basically for you
Cheers!

Yes, recovery flashes the stock ROM with vendor too. But sometimes, if any stuff (like any partition) broken, only solution is to flash the stock ROM via fastboot using computer.
thread was formerly for LOS builds, now updated for wave
xiaomi.eu comes with stock vendor.... so i would be the easiest way returning back flashing xiaomi.eu image
