No, you need to format data.

Nice! This seems interesting.

Thanks for your work.
Bugs that i note ambiente display dont work, double tap sensor funciona dont work

Thanks for this rom
This is the first miui 12.... rom that don,t incrypt my phone after a first boot

Is there maybe any new Ported from Mi 10 Lite rom ?

Can anyone help i can't understand ?
i flashed twrp with universal dm verity
then i wipe dalvik/art cache / system /data /vendor
then i format using format data by typing yes
then i copy custom rom either in internal storage or usb otg
then i flash the rom
then clean dalvik cache
then i format typing yes
then reboot to system
it erases my custom rom and reboot to recovery in case of miui 12.5 android 11
but incase of lineage os 18 it does not and boots in os perfectly
can anyone tell why?
also why it is not installing in system partition rather on the internal storage
i am using redmi note 4
rom: MIUI_GLOBAL_HMNOTE4_12.5.9.0-11
Note:why i need factory reset is to encrypt to use banking and fintech apps
factory reset enables encryption after installing
but if i not do the factory reset the does not encrypt in anyway but rom works

I strictly followed your suggested procedure but still it is not booting into os rather miui logo flashes for 5 mins then it reboots to recovery. Can you please explain what i am doing wrong or may be it is due to rom designed to be create a partition on mobile sd ext memory (not external sd card) and not on system? These are my initial observation.

Which twrp you're using?
If newest then I suggest to start from scratch with stock ROM and flashing via miflash (don't relock bootloader)

twrp-3.6.0_9-0-mido twrp i am using
start from scratch ? Can you suggest which stock rom should i use and why not use twrp?
I think it is the feature of rom to force encryption on device rather then a recovery tool. But i will try as you said.
Thank you for replying to my query. Wishing you a Happy and joyous New year.

Yes, it's slow but it's my only way to keep it up without having a risk of it being randomly gone.
P.S. 9.07.2022 RN10PM/RN10PI (K6I/K6P) users, sorry for the bad description! It does work on all sweet(in) boards, however I tested on sweet - K6G.

Reboot Mi6 into fastboot mode

Bugs:
When device is encrypted you can't see the files into recovery, ADB and MTP
Let me know if there are others

You have to wipe -> format data to decrypt your device. I'm working on a fix for the encrypted side.
Do i have to flash the *no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip after flashing the rom with your TWRP? And do i have to wipe system to or only data?

"Strange characters" means that you have the device encrypted. To decrypt you have to wipe -> format data. NOTE: You will loose all your data in data and userdata partition.
By unlocking the bootloader I have done a factory reset why isnt it gone? isn't it possible to have encryption and twrp running together without this problem?

It is possible, but Xiaomi for Mi6 uses FBE encryption. Actually a few devices have it. I'm working on a fix that will be released soon.
For now you have to "wipe"-> press "format data" button to use internal storage from recovery, so data and sdcard will be decrypted (and wiped).
Then look ....... thank you a thousand you are a myth !!!!
When i wipe format data how to install a custom rom?

Man that was fast. Will definitely flash this after I get my H8 Pro.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
Hello,
I tested the package, unfortunately after the flash and first boot impossible to return under android.
If I remember correctly there was a problem of mount point.
To get out I had to flasher the recovery and system partitions of the original rom.
Having to reset my phone I have no log, but if you need anything else do not hesitate.

Can anyone here give a quick tutorial ? Thanks

Wow that was faster than I could learn to do it.
Great job. May I ask how you got the important informations to build this?
Did you inject su into the image to gain root and then read all the detailed data through terminal or adb or root file explorer?
Just asking cause i train my brain more and more in my spare time and want to get behind the knowledge base to learn. :good:
First of all thank you for your work, I got the Recovery, root, Magisk, etc. running.
I have 2 Questions:
1. the internal storage when I boot to the recovery looks like enrypted (lots of random named folders). Is it possible to decrypt it for now, since there is currently no custom kernel available?
2. Can I flash the Firmware update to 130b in TWRP? If yes, wich package do I need to choose?
Cheers
Would this work on the Chinese V9 variant?

[Guide] How to decrypt data partition, and re-encrypt data partition on OnePlus 5

Because there are too many people ask about "how to decrypt data" and "how to re-encrypt data",
I write a guide to tell you how to decrypt/re-encrypt data partition.
[Change log for V2:]
1. Update script to no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip
2. Decryption support for Android Oreo and Android Nougat
[Why we need decrypt data partion?]
1. Install MultiRom/MultiBoot
2. Some Roms only work on decrypted device
3. For better performance
[Disadvantage]
1. Low security (Cracker can access your file, and remove lock screen pin from TWRP)
2. It need to wipe your data/internal storage to decrypt data partition.
Decrypt data partition with magisk:
1. Go to “Wipe” section, tap “Format Data”, and type “yes”
2. Transfer Rom and no_verity_op5_v2.zip to the device over MTP
3. Go to “Install” section, select ROM, and swipe to confirm the flash
4. Go to “Install” section, select magisk.zip, and swipe to confirm the flash
5. Go to “Install” section, select no_verity_op5_v2.zip, and swipe to confirm the flash
6. Reboot
PS. you should format data before flashing no_verity_op5.zip.
Re-Encrypt data partition:
1. Go to “Wipe” section, tap “Format Data”, and type “yes”
2. Transfer stock Oxygen Rom to the device over MTP
3. Go to “Install” section, select the Oxygen rom, and swipe to confirm the flash
4. Reboot
[Proof]
No magic here. What you see is real.
[How it work?]
OnePlus 5 uses FBE(File-Based Encryption) to encrypt data partition.
The latest no-verity-opt-encrypt zip ( https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/ ) only replace "forceencrypt" to "encryptable".
It didn't replace "fileencryption", so your data partition is still encrypted.
In order to decrypt data partition, I modified the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip by myself.
The no_verity_op5_v2.zip will replace "fileencryption" to "encryptable".

No, you need re-flash it after system update.
Because system update will replace boot with stock version.
If you forget to re-flash zip file, your device will unable to boot.

So in order to remain unencrypted i have to flash this after a custom kernel, dont they include this feature already? Sorry for the questions, but im new to this device.

Yes, you have to flash it every time you write the boot partition: flash a ROM or OTA.
Note that if you use Magisk, Magisk by default automatically turns off DM Verity and force encrypt, so there's no need to flash both no_verity_op5.zip and Magisk, just Magisk is fine.

Really ?
I have a few questions for the sake of clarity, as an experience I had makes me question if Magisk handles this. Blu_spark kernel will not boot when flashed with Magisk on my decrypted, stock OOS device - I believe status of encrypted/decrypted and FBE are two separate things based on the reply from eng.stk. it seems to use that kernel while decrypted, I still need to flash no-verity zip, even with Magisk.
This thread states both that you don't need to flash this if using Magisk, but that you need to flash this anytime you modify boot IMG - ROM flash, OTA, etc. I'm trying to nail down when I need this zip and when I don't - very curious if there's some solid info on when to use this in flashing and when not to. Guide is great as is for decrypting - just wanna stay that way.

Hello, it is impossible for me to install the rom, I do all the steps, I clean everything as the instructions say, I install the rom, after installing, I erase data and when rebooting the system, it stays in the boot of the rom and it returns me to recovery all the time :-(
I don't know what I'll do wrong but I've tried like 10 times and nothing, I give up.
Thanks for your work and effort in making a great rom.

Hi, if it came from Miui rom, I had the latest Stable from Xiaomi.eu V12.5.3.0.
And in what order do I install everything?
The first thing is to install the Chinese firm 21.3.10 and then I do everything else? Or can I download other firmware such as the European firmware fw_cepheus_miui_CEPHEUS_V12.5.3.0.RFACNXM?
Then I delete all the format data
Reboot in recovery
Configure data and cache in f2fs
Flash rom
Reboot the system and I don't install gapps.
Thanks for your help.

Flashing firmware is must before flashing rom. You can try eu firmware if you want but i don't know if it works. Try both
Actually i am new in cepheus and never tried these experiments.
I flashed it without setting data do f2sf. I flashed NickGapps basic and Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip. Rom booted and worked normally. After first booting I went back to TWRP and flashed Magisk. Unfortunately it didn't pass Safetynet. Anyway thank you very much for your work.

For safetynet hide magisk and app probably even playstore. And check safetynet from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.freeandroidtools.safetynettest

Also download again . Maybe file is corrupted while downloading

Intente FLASHING NickGapps basic y Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip. Rom arrancó y funcionó normalmente.
También descarga de nuevo. Tal vez el archivo esté dañado durante la descarga

Hello, in the end I was able to install it !!!
First I installed the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip file, then the Chinese firmware, then the Rom, and finally the NickGapps Core.
When the installation finished I deleted the data and when the system rebooted the Rom started.
Thank you very much for your effort and for bringing us this great rom, I hope everything works very well and has a good battery life.
Greetings
If you don't mind @RDS.007, I leave here how I did the installation to help others and not miss any steps.

PixelOS is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, themed icons, google sans fonts, Monet color based system wide theming, boot animation), a fork of OG Pixel Experience with improvements on the top of it. Huge respect to Pixel Experience team for their work, thanks to them for making this ROM possible.
In short a fully functional Pixel Experience with just the right amount of essentials.

This is a guide from a member here with an edit for you:
1) Boot to recovery.
2) Wipe Dalvik, Cache, System, Vendor and Data.
3) Install LATEST firmware. (It's not always necessary, but it doesn't matter if you flash it)
4) Reboot into RECOVERY! (Do not restart the SYSTEM! The system is deleted at this time!).
5) After rebooting to the recovery - flash ROM (ideally with GAPPS).
5) Flash Gapps (if not included in ROM).
6) Format Data. (this is different from step #2)
7) flash latest Magisk (download magisk and change the app extension to .zip (it will be something like this 'magisk.zip') then flash it).
8) Wipe cache and dalvik and restart system.
ofc you will have to backup your files before installing the rom because the internal storage will be wiped.
You can copy the rom, firmware and magisk manger to an OTG and use it or you can just connect your phone when you're in the recovery and copy the files to your internal storage.

thx
HI! I'm new at flashing roms and recoveries or changing the systems of my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. Btw, my phone is a 3 years old, so i dunno that was the cons. or my usage or my way of flashing.
Anyway, I unlock my bootloader and it was successful. I flash also the orangefox recovery and it was also successful. However, when I flashed the PixelOS, my phone started to restart and bootloop. I tried to wiped the system again and do the flashing of the rom. It was successful. The latest firmware was also installed.
But here's what I encountered:
Bootlooping
It keeps restarting whenerver I play a sound or videos.
Didn't restart when xiaomi logo appears.
Battery drain so fast
My phone need to connect on charger all the time.
How can I fix it? DId it have a solution?
It was my first time, so, I'm sorry.
