They killed The functionality of it sometime between China ROM 12.0.10 and 12.5. I actually tested it one time. I flashed the oldest China ROM possible by disabling roll back protection in the .Bat script. Then I set up the entire phone. Then OTA updated until hey Google hot mic stopped working.
I can confirm 100% it was working on early versions of the China ROM.

Alternatively you can set it to launch via pressing a button like the power button and then talk into it, only way from what I could tell when I was on the Chinese rom.

you can download OK Google Commands,

There reason this is not working, btw, is that Android 11 requires a certain "hotword" blob to work. I think it's device specific, so if yours is not available (that is, if you device doesn't support Android 11) you'll have this issue on ANY Android 11 ROM, at least for now.

What's the apps name?
Because if you mean the standalone google assistant app it doesn't work (at least not here).
As I said, it seems like people are experiencing this issue on every Android 11 ROM in any device that doesn't natively support it due to how Android 11 handles the hotword.

still no solution?

The Chinese stock version I had, had a mini Google set of apps, it was like a hacked version. It needed full GMS system files but really hard to get it installed while the hacked mini version was there in the ROM. Best solution is to flash the Xiaomi EU ROM.

Yes and it definitely doesn't work from the lockscreen.
And since Assistant isn't a system process on the CN ROM/Xiaomi.eu ROM, if background apps are all killed, Assistant doesn't work unless you manually start it up again.
I moved to the Global ROM (IM) and Assistant works perfectly.

Google Phone (Dialer) v23 "go"?

There is a "-go" at the end of the version number. Maybe it's something related to Android Go?
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/google-phone-23-0-208561757-go-release/
Does anyone tried this Google Phone version on a OnePlus 3 or 3T unmodified? There is a comment at the bottom of the link that says: "Probably worth mentioning that this installs and everything seems to work properly on a OnePlus 3 without any modifications".
I'm currently using the v7 "nonnexus" edition in my OnePlus 3T (unmodified, no root): https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/google-phone-7-0-140861421-nonnexus-release/

The one you're using is outdated, even by AOSP standards. The one bundled with custom Oreo ROMs is 11.0.
I'm sure the other one is a Go edition. Not sure why anyone would choose that over the full Play Store version. It's bound to be gimped in some way. It's a shame that there are no screenshots. Maybe there's a YT video showing Go features?
What ROM are you using?

I'm using the stock OxygenOS v5.0.5 for OnePlus 3T, with no modifications and no root. So the only version of Google Phone that I can use right now with fully working functions (like Spam Caller ID) is the last nonnexus version, that is indeed outdated (v7, versus last v23).
I can't install the Play Store version of Google Phone because that is just for Nexus and Pixel phones (I can't install any of the standard versions in APK mirror); and I don't want to install a patched APK like this because I want "Spam Caller ID" to work, and in patched APK it doesn't work.
But it seems that this "-go" version of Google Phone could be installed in a non nexus nor pixel phone with fully working functions, and that's what I want to know...

No harm in trying it. Give it a go and let us know. If like me you detest the all white theme and pastel colours it might be a non-runner anyway though.
I tried the nodpi version and it seems to work ok, but every time I open the app I see a message that says "This device is not supported and phone calls may not work correctly", it's a bit annoying...
But the app works fine so far...

I think I will keep using my old v7 version; because v23-go is laggy, and the warning message everytime I open the app is annoying. If is there a new version in the future that gets this two issues fixed, maybe I will update it (I don't dislike the colors as much as you... ).

Question MIUI Launcher with Google Discover

Hi all, Happy User of the CN Mi 11 Ultra. Everything works well so far. The only feature I currently miss is the Google Discover feed on the left screen.
I know that global launcher added this option. Is there any chance to add via side loaded APK?
The only way is to flash global ROM
Why is it so? I was able to install externally downloaded MI Launcher apks. But it seems all of them did not have Google Discover. Could somebody please post the launcher APK from the global ROM?

Imagine loosing your phone with Crypto Wallet on it. Which one can be hacked easier - with bootloader lock or without.
And please don't start on how secure unlocked bootloader is. It's just not. Having ability to flash anything on top of the original ROM via fastboot just opens a lot of additional attack vectors. And TWRP will make everything even easier for the attackers. And no I am not paranoid but doing this just for Google Discover is a no go. I would then rather wait and buy a global version of the phone.

I have uninstalled all google apps with revo uninstaller , and reinstalled all by the chineese app (downloaded from getapps miui store). It work but youtube show error message , don't install update for google services it will stop working.
Amazing!
Maps and photos working?
Google maps show messages: update google sevices .. and crashs, google photos work .
After changing google account it stop again, and can't install, it show that google play service is installed in second space or kid space, is there a solution to this problem
maybe you can use MicroG, the method maybe same like installing it on Huawei's HarmonyOS since they have no GMS framework too.
Best solution is that( use link for google play services for android 11)
The problem persist, is there a solution???

I was very happy that it worked.

General Android 12 Beta 2

Installed Beta 2 (which I believe corresponds with Beta 5 on the Pixels) a couple days ago. It is available here.
It has the September 5 security patch, and overall works well. The only bug I have noticed so far is in Settings when trying to set links that an app opens by default. It worked but crashed, and sent me back to my home screen.
I used a debloater via Magisk to remove Asus apps.
How the battery is better or worse compared to the 11.

Using beta 2 as a daily driver. And i'm really impressed by the aesthetics and the stability of the system. Everything works as intended for me.
Only missing thing is a complete french translation of the system.

I have an unlocked bootloader but it does not go to the bootloader.
reboot using "adb reboot bootloader"
Do I have to wait some time after unlocking tat as it was in xiaomi.
No you just need to enable USB debugging in developer options. Run the command in cmd and run the bat script provided in the zip.
When I go to the bootloader, I only have this screen
When I go to Fastboot, I only have such a screen, I marked it with a red arrow or it means that I have a locked bootloader.
When unlocking, this message pops up, does it mean that I have to set a pin code before unlocking.
I installed, I had to install asus drivers, I also have an incomplete Polish translation

I hope that 12 will be officially released soon, however.
Any long time impressions?, how is battery life?
I've been running it (beta 2) since it was released. Overall, it is good. Most annoying issue is sometimes it just doesn't charge until I power cycle the phone. Maybe 50% of the time.
A more minor issue is that some notifications can't be swiped away until I power cycle. Can't think of any more issues off the top of head.
