Question Chinese rom .. can i use it in Saudi Arabia ? - Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Hi
I am Dr Ahmed , Egyptian Anesthesia Specialist , working in Saudi Arabia
I ordered Xiaomi MI 11 ultra ... and in 10 days it will arrive
I noticed that the it will be the Chinese version of the Mi Ultra
so My Question is >>> Can I use it and Enjoy it with the Chinese rom ? Can I install all the apps I need with no problems ?
I have ZERO experience in flashing roms But I really want this Mi Ultra

You should be able to use it there provided that it has the correct bands you need. The Chinese ROM does not have Arabic language so you will be limited to using it in English.
Once you have installed google play store (if it is not already installed) you can use all of your apps as usual. Goole restore will not work on the Chinese ROM so you may want to do backups a different way (eg swift backup) or use MiMover to transfer.
I would strongly recommend flashing the xiaomi.eu rom - as it has no remnants of the Chinese language or apps. But if you are not comfortable in flashing, you may want to leave it on the Chinese ROM, which works just fine!

Chinese apps

Hi guys, how are you all ? I purchased Xiaomi Mi 5 yesterday and I am trying to find out how to get rid of all applications in chinese language ... I set up my phone in english but 70% is still in chinese ... Does any managers exist for this issue ? I am still googling, but every answer would be apprecieted !
You can install other rom like xiaomi.eu using EDL. There are no chinese apps, gapps included and many more stuff.. Google more about EDL and you'll be good.
Here's the guide how to do it: http://www.honorbuy.com/forum/forum...xtra=page=1&filter=typeid&typeid=65&typeid=65
@proag
I think you need an unlocked bootloader to do this. Besides, there is no "international ROM" at the moment, and will never be until these idiots release the kernel source...
The EU rom is pretty good and can be flashed with a locked bootloader... Go to honorbuy and check out there forum its there with instructions.
Ah crap.. As above!. He even put a link up haha

I am not a developer. Just a consumer. However, I am using VIE-L29C636B170 currently and there are no Chinese language apps (except maybe HiGame app in English language but with Chinese language contents).
But then, if there are Chinese language apps, normally you can always root it and remove it.

Seems no one even care to answer.
It seems that version is meant for India as a region not China(COR-AL00). Try to check if you can change the system language or look for somebody who understands Chinese to help you to do that.

Installing EU rom on Chinese version?

I'll be receiving this phone with a Chinese version on it, is it possible to flash the eu/global version on it?
Nope and not gonna happen anytime soon, I ended just buying another phone
One seller told me that they were sending a chinese phone with the global rom and another one told me that it was the chinese rom but that they gave me an easy process to add google apps.

There is a global ROM version of this phone. And I believe there are less issues than the CN ROM for non-China users.
I have a CN ROM version and I've removed all the bloatware and installed Google apps.. but it's still not the same as a pure global ROM.
There are many small differences that cannot be fixed so easily with the CN version. Such as the Google Assistant can't be accessed with the long press home button. Also, some of the apps still show the Chinese version even when downloaded in English.
I would suggest spending a bit more and home straight for the global ROM.

I think it happened in realme q to relme 5 pro, they ported the global rom. Check the forum
I hope so.. Thanks for the update
CN > Global
I wonder if this is possible? If so, then it will be possible to take the Chinese version. And if all the same, Realme protected the system so that it is impossible to do? All the same, the device is distributed in different countries.

Question Multi langagues in chinese version

Hi guys. I just bought the Chinese version because the global version is more expensive and harder to find for delivery in my country. The device has not yet arrived in my hands.
I would like to know if there is a chance for Oppo to put all languages in the Chinese version. In my case it would be the Portuguese language.
My second question is: are there other differences between the Chinese version and the global version besides the languages?
And the last question is: are you happy with the device or not?

Chinese version has lots of chinese bloatware and doesnt have google apps so you have to install them manually. For the language support...i doubt it.
Im happy with my global version but it has few really annoying bugs.
Apparently you can put the apps installed by the user in languages not supported by the operating system.
(I have not tried it, the Find X3 still does not arrive)
Instructions
1. Download this app:
SetEdit SettingsDatabaseEditor - Apps on Google Play
Provides direct access to the Android settings database
play.google.com
2. Inside the app, search "system_locales".
3. Change the value to:
"pt_BR" (Portuguese, Brazil) or
"pt_PT" (Portuguese, Portugal)

Cool this tip. But I'm afraid to modify the system.

For example with occasionally missing notifications on the lock screen...or with the app market (from.oppo) opening google play links (popup on the screen) which supposed to be open by Google Play app by default.
