I already tried it and it works perfect, I hope and enjoy it

ha, you thought giving my git would be enough? add my xda username

Working fine here flashed Oreo many times and worked flawlessly, thanks for the support

working perfectly thanks brother

Pretty good recovery, tho if I wasn't here this wouldn't exist

I can't seem to be able to use adb/sideload with this recovery. with the device plugged into my PC, adb reports the device as offline and over time adb increments the transport ID as well. is anyone else able to reproduce this?

I'll fix it when I know how to do it

I'm using this device since my Xiaomi one is off.
I've installed this recovery and it's very powerful! More than TWRP

Alternative solution for anyone. I couldn't install NickGapps via twrp or sideload. After checking system file size and finding no issue, I downloaded a very outdated, from 202, nickgapps package, 70mb size, flashed it successfully then flashed the latest package, 80mb.

[BETA] TWRP 3.1.1 for Mi A1

Hey,
TWRP 3.1.1 Touch Recovery beta version is released for Xiaomi Mi A1.
Download - Go to downloads tab
Update:
1. Magisk v13.4 is working fine.
Workaround for Xposed:
Xposed is not installing through TWRP and when tried with App, still it's giving errors. So below is the temporary solution till we get a permanent one.
1. Don't flash TWRP. Just boot into it from bootloader by using command - fastboot boot recovery_name.img
2. Flash latest SuperSU zip.
3. Reboot to System.
4. Your phone will be rooted now and install Xposed through app.
Important:
1. Don't flash it, just boot into it.
2. If flashed, re-flash the latest stock boot image.
Instructions:
1. Download the twrp image and twrp installer zip
2. fastboot boot twrp-3.1.1-tissot-beta.img
3. Flash twrp-installer-tissot-3.1.1.zip
4. Reboot to recovery
Flash Magisk v13.4 built for Pixel devices by @Goodwin_c. Available in the downloads tab.
Issues:
1. Flashing SuperSU will break TWRP. SuperSU will work, but TWRP will be gone.
2. Xposed won't flash without modification.
Future update:
1. Make TWRP and SuperSU to co-exist
2. Compatibility with Xposed and Latest Magisk
Disclaimer:
We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of installing custom recoveries, roms and/or kernels. you do so at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself.

I could see in Pixel forums about flashing twrp. It has options to back up a, b partitions or even both. Atm no access to computer, will need to check whether urs allow us the same.

Surprise!!!
Booted TWRP? But isn't temporary? Sad ?.
But don't worry, I have created a zip, ahh actually ported a zip ?, to flash TWRP permanently ?.
But please do note that I haven't tested this personally yet, as I'm in a bus, traveling right now.
But if guys have guts, then go ahead, & try this, & please report back .
Instructions:
Boot TWRP & just flash this zip from TWRP. That's all...

Hi!
I just want to post my experiences so far.
TWRP booted up fine, also backup and MTP works.
I tried flashing magisk v14.2, which's installer told me the B slot is currenly active etc. Flashed without any problem. But rebooting the device I got bootloop.
Restoring the boot image from the backup made the device back to booting state.

Somehow Magisk is not yet working in Mi A1. Either flashed through recovery or other method, getting bootloop and other issues.

Using the treble supported TWRP fixed the vendor mount problem but I get into a bootloop when I try to install Magisk (latest version). I'm using the Havoc ROM (Android 8.1.0 - Treble Supported).
Edit: Got Magisk running by using a modified version for Treble.

Hello I also installed the same ROM plus the Recovery of Red Wolf, remember that since its a treble you cannot mount vendor, but actually its easier than anything, why? cause the RR its based on Lineage OS and this last one is based on Cyanogen Mod, at the end what im trying to say its that the root services are already included in the ROM you only need to "unlock it" so i have the link for that, you only need to install this addon in .zip format (all the links and products are not mine, so please give thanks to the amazing developers). This is the official link and it also comes with an instructive step by step, I did the install trough sideload and now is working!
Example of command with adb sideload: C:\Users\kaks\Downloads\adb\adb sideload "C:\Users\kaks\Downloads\adb\addonsu-15.1-arm64-signed.zip"
www . cyanogenmods.org / root-lineageos-15-1-android-oreo-rom /
Hope this work for you as it did for me

You don't have any use for this TWRP yet, but soon you will.
Everything is working on LineageOS 15, but i still have to do few changes. E.g. i've noticed that fingerprint isn't always available after a reboot, so i think the service is starting too late or something. Also, i still got to use it myself for few days and see if everything is fine (at first glance it's fine) or maybe i'll leave that to y'all.
I've chose to publish the TWRP today as LineageOS 15 will be published in the upcoming day(s).

Wow great news ! thanks @#Henkate i cant wait for taste it !

You mean having stock and TWRP recovery at the same time right? Well, I've never tried this but I've read that it was done on other Huawei phones, so I guess it would work on Nova too.

Hi,
I've flashed your previous TWRP ver 3.1.1-0
At first, my ADB detected it. while it boots on TWRP logo. But as soon as TWRP enters the menu it went offline. I need to pull important data from internal memory before I flashed it
Thank you so, so much for keeping this device alive, #Henkate!
Is it work with nova plus
I have a problem using Oreo TWRP, commands on Data partition dont work for me. Like wiping, backing up, formating.
First i was on Emui 5. Unlock it, flash Oreo TWRP and having error for Data partition (won't mount). Then i need to install TWRP 3.1.1 (the red one) to format Data, and after that install back 3.2.3 to install Lineage 15.
Exact the same thing happened when i move from Lineage to AOSP Extended.
Where I'm wrong?
Please find a new 3.2.3-0 build here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=298114
It contains the fix for the crypto footer error message, so now it is also possible to install nanodroid on oreo. It was not possible before, because /data could not be mounted.
This issue lead me to the commit which fixed it:

[RECOVERY] [11] [OFFICIAL] TeamWin Recovery Project

Introduction:
Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Key Features:
Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
Onscreen keyboard
Easy selection of internal/external storage
In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe, and run a backup.
We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

Hello, this is TWRP, for Oneplus 6 that supports Android 11

Updating to a newer build:
1. download new build to internal storage
2. go to Advanced > Install Recovery Ramdisk
4. select the new image

The kernel I'm using is Q based as that's the stable one, can you get logs after repacking with stock?
adb pull /tmp/recovery.log
adb logcat > logcat.txt

For me this is a mystery, but now I repackaged it again with the stock kernel, and it started correctly.

cool, not much can be done right now though, as the android 11 kernel sources haven't been published yet for custom kernels to integrate what they did, and I nee to modify the kernel for fastboot boot to work, so consider this TWRP for stock 10 and customs, it's working on custom 11 roms

i was hava a problem with my root, i installed GPU Booster and its bootloop ( before TWRP ) so i installed official boot.img again, and i was trying to root again with patched boot.img its bootloop again so i flashed official boot.img again and my phone start working normal,
AFTER TWRP, i FLASHED magisk uninstaller and boot to sys, work 100%
reboot to TWRP and install MAGISK installer and flashed 100%
now im rooted by TWRP
sorry for saying all this but just to make u sure that i FLASHED uninstaller once, and installer and working super fine
ADVICE: For battery drain in A11 : root and download this app
NoAd Battery Calibrator [ROOT] - Apps on Google Play
Calibrating your battery after flashing a new ROM may increase your battery life
play.google.com
get your phone to 100% battery and give root access to the app and click on Calibrate it will ask u for root give access and after give access press again on Calibrate, its working so good

Battery calibration apps don't do anything that any android rom couldn't do. What those apps do is reset your battery stats. But every time your phone is charged to 100% and you unplug it, your battery stats get automatically reset.

[Recovery][TWRP 3.7.0][Unofficial][Mi 10T/Pro]

Please note that it is not mine if you are here, it means you know what you are doing and are solely responsible for what you are doing.
I see some users can't find twrp for this device and some links are broken. So I share here the last unofficial twrp developed by skkk. All credits and thanks goes to him.
If you have no recovery yet and you are not rooted, you need to use the usual adb commands: fastboot boot <twrp.img>
If you're rooted, you can use the official twrp app[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.twrp.twrpapp ] Grant him root rights and flash the twrp image or flash directly from recovery for an update...

thanks for sharing and caring for us user of mi 10t/pro
If you have problem with data decryption please use this version twrp (credit to lilydess) and Flash DFE after your ROM.
Although it's version 3.6.2 seems to work better especially on A13 which has even more restrictions than A12.
Note : Unzip this file you will have Twrp.img+DFE.zip

where i can get lilydess twrp? (edit: i mean, from where did you get it?) i cant find it
edit2: it can rly decrypt storage, right? so i can use it without dfe and just write pin into twrp (or remove pin before rebooting to twrp)

on telegram.
It depends on the ROM so yes in some cases no need for DFE flash if the ROM does not force encryption.
Yes you can boot to twrp with lock enabled.

I only use twrp ask pixel dev experience.
Anyway some recommend the use of their recovery even if it works with twrp this is due to the fact that there is no official twrp for Apollo.
indeed even if twrp cannot access internal data we can always use adb sideload or usb otg to flash what you want, the only problem in this case will be to access to data/adb/modules in case of bootloop and no twrp backup.
So bootloops caused by magisk module are solved how? By formatting everything?

I dont want to annoy you any more... Is there any guide for this? (how to work with this kind of twrp?). I'm lowkey confused by the fact i can flash from otg but at the same time i can not view storage. ( i managed to destroy system once i tried to flash somethin so i started using DFE.zip but now i need encryption for work app...)
i used to know how it works but i forgot. Thanks for help 🫡
