TCL 10L - ANDROID 11 - Nova Launcher - TCL 10L Guides, News, & Discussion

For those of you who are Nova Launcher fans, as am I, you will find it difficult to get Nova installed onto this device once you have upgraded to Android 11. You'll get the pesky "App not installed" message come across the screen when downloading from Playstore. After much frustration and searching, I was able to get installed a beta version of 7.0.40 with no issues. I recommend searching other avenues for this as you may encounter issues with Playstore when installing. I hope this helps you guys

[Q] Missing market Apps when using MIUI

I posted this at the MIUI developers forum, but I had little luck and thought I'd try here.
I recently install several versions of the MIUI (stock and Galnets) just to try new things, but when I tried to redownload my games, almost none of the Gameloft games such as Order and Chaos were available in the market! I tried going to market.android.com, and attempted to install from there, but all I get is "This item is not compatible with your device"...
I can install the apk version no problem, but I have purchased and preferto download them through the Market. I searched a bit on Google and found that it has to do with something in the build.prop, specifically fingerprint. Since I don't now anything about such things, I figured maybe someone here know what this is all about:
http://miuiandroid.com/forums/showthread.php?7475-Market-not-showing-all-apps
I wonder if anyone else has had this issue?
Thanks!
I have the same issue, i have search so far still not able to resolve this.
have you tried the app 'market enabler' or maybe googling the app for a download from a 3rd party ?

Android Wear on CM 14.1 SEMI-OFFICIAL ROM Issue

Hi gang,
Just looking for some help with an issue I have after flashing the CM 14.1 ROM from bgcngm. In that thread another user brings up that they're also having issues using the Android Wear app to pair their phone with their watch, as am I - however bgcngm said that they're having no issues at all.
When trying to open the Android Wear app on the phone, we get this error:
This phone has been flashed with an unsupported configuration for companion. You must re-flash it as either signed/user or unsigned/userdebug.
If there's something we can do on our end to fix this, that would be great news.
Thanks in advance
Edit: Okay, so I might already be bug busting this one myself - it seems on Nougat the version on the Play Store is Wear 2.0, which doesn't seem to want to work. I downloaded a 1.5 APK and installed that and it works just fine. Hmm!

Google Now Launcher on 8.1?

Does anybody know why the Google Now Launcher can't be searched in the play store and the apk fails to install on 8.1? The only way I've found to install it is to put the apk in the system apps folder using root. Just seems weird that this is the only thing that works.

Oreo "doesn't belong" on an N6 which is a 32 bit device. So the api version and the requirements of the app don't mesh. Google also stopped developing now launcher instead preferring pixel launcher. You would need a ported version, which exists, for the 32 bit device.

Anybody having the same issue on google Play Store pending?

Suddenly it started to be pending on app update or install recently for no reason. By deleting the app data, the Play Store resets its stats and it become possible to install any apps for some while until it begin pending again. Anybody has the same issue and resolved it yet? btw, I am with 7.0.20.0a or latest flyme beta.

There are some steps to follow to install playstore and google plays services correctly on chinese and betas. You can get it from flyme forumn. Search it. So do that. The issues are mostly in flyme 7.Installation error like 901 occurs. Eventhough large apps installation still got issues. Now i only download applications from playstore.
Thanks! It seems to be working correctly now. They are talking about the glitch in the android 5 codes used in it but I think we had been having no chance to do with the android 5 codes by following your guide in this forum??. Anyway I am glad to know that the google installer 4.4.6 also works with current flyme versions more correctly than the method starting from installing the flyme 6 Chinese rom.

Omg, I mistakenly thought you wrote it. And the version mentioned there is 4.4.2. So the newer 4.4.6 version is for flyme 7.:silly:

Gboard not working (Tencent version)

Hi all,
I canßt seem to be able to install Google Keyboard (Gboard), not through Google Play Store (app not compatible) or APK (doesn't install).
Did anyone find the same issue and maybe a solution for this?
If no solution for it, what would be a suitable alternative? I unfortunately appreciate support for Catalan language, which is not a given for a lot of keyboards.
Thanks a lot for any input!
Actually that's what i fear the most bad OS and if there is no dev community for custom roms, I don't think the hype for this phone will remain.
And not possible to set another launcher as default. YUK

Gboard work since day 1. you factory your phone. go to tencent store and install 2 things: gboard and chplay. After that go to language to switch. For language you must know how to use adb for setup morelocal 2
With another launcher, install nova for example, after that use adb uninstall the asus launcher. now your nova become Default launcher

Can you post your guide in the guide section for other users? Thank you.
For Play Store, I also didn't get it to work with sideloaded apk from APKMirror, but I found it in the built-in app store and after updating it showed in the launcher and fully worked.
Gboard works fine for me. You can't find it from the play store you will need to get it from apkmirror website or any alternative website. Later on you should be able to update it from the play store, simply download the latest version and install it and you are good to go.
At least that's in my case.
