Question Oxygen 11.0.5.5 - OnePlus Nord CE 5G

Hey folks,
today I got through system update (My device: EB2103) a hint to download Oxygen 11.0.5.5 (Still on 11.0.3.3 atm, 11.0.4.4 didn't showed up for me), but few users on One Plus forum complaining about heavily battery drains, even since they updated to 11.0.4.4:
OnePlus Community
Introducing our new OnePlus Community experience, with a completely revamped structure, built from the ground-up.
forums.oneplus.com
Did anyone of you installed this update and can tell me/us anything about the battery life?
Would be a pleasure to know more about users experiences, before I install this update.
Thanks in advance!

It's gets me through the day. I charge it only once a day at night....

Is it maybe possible, that you can record battery stats a whole day without recharging your phone?

Will do and get back to you asap...workdays now so....

I got a Nord CE (12/256GB) a month or so ago and received the update within the past 3 days. No obvious disimprovement in battery performance so far (I had charged to 100% just prior) but I did have it on airplane mode for a few hours last night. In my experience the battery on this device is pretty good

I am facing battery drain , severe network and connectivity issues after latest update..

Here are my screenshots. I charged my phone upto 100% and went to sleep 8-9 hours ago. The 2nd one shows whole device usage. I'm still on 11.0.3.3 and I think, I will stay a bit longer on it and investigate for more results.
I also use the 12GB ram version. My Buildnumber is: EB13BA (EEA)

What's the reason for slow development for this phone?

Despite the release of kernel sources, why isn't there much development for this phone? Is it because most developers don't have this phone, or because they're waiting for the release of lollipop?
I kinda now wish that I'd bought the Moto G 1st gen lol.
Wish I knew! My guess is that they're waiting for Lollipop. Then again, this phone is still young. So not many people / developers own this device. And Motorola isn't Samsung or HTC. It's a small fish in the smartphone ocean!

Yeah I hope so too. I'm also hoping that a developer does comment here and make us stop worrying
Slow development??? The phone was released less than two months ago. Not to mention in stock mode it is already a kick-ass phone.
But as with all things, there is always somebody who isn't happy with the status quo.

Chill Bro! I'm not happy, but certainly I'm not complaining also here.
And why I'm asking is because when the kernel sources weren't released, everybody was saying that wait till they release, and we'll get speedy development of ROMs and kernels. But now that sources have been released, no development. I was kinda disappointed.
I had a s3 before, and that phone had ROMs in the 1st month only. So yes I'm comparing. Kill me

On a side note, hows your battery life mate, I can barely make it through a day.
I Read on gsm arena that the endurance time was 50hrs.But I could see my meter spiraling downwards
Me thinks somethings wrong with my battery :cyclops:
Bdw Im using a dual sim version
Same here. Sometimes the battery lasts long enough, most of the time is goes empty very quickly and the top right corner of my XT1068 gets warm. Not hot, but warm. Don't know about the internal layout so don't know if it's related.
Wondering if I should RMA it or replace kernel/ROM and hope for the best.

How come? Mine lasts easily through the day! Look carefully at the apps you're using: which one is consuming the most? Greenify it! Furthermore avoid using 3g. 2g Is fine for just Whatsapp etc! And don't use animated backgrounds!

I get a full day's use out of it before I have to charge. But I play several games off and on throughout the day. On days where I don't do any game playing it will last two days.
I am on the single SIM model (XT1063)

The only persistent ones are whatsapp, viper4android and faux sound
And Im not playing games on it too except for maybe a round of pocket tanks and subway surfer and not using any animated wallpapers
I disabled my second sim just to see what results i get

I usually recommend this to everyone, but if you're having battery drain problems, just use ubounced, a xposed module. I had around 8-10 hours of standby, but after using it, My standby increased to 24-26 hours, and Screen On Time was around 4-5 hours. I don't micromanage at all i.e 3g is on all the time, no WiFi, sync is on
Do you think is safe buying Moto 2014 then? I mean development will popout? Or better buy 2013 LTE ?

Software Update (Stock) Galaxy Note 4 N910F

Hello guys,
Many of you allready have the Note 4 rooted, but I do not. I'm from Portugal and have a N910F model.
Last Sunday or Monday I just installed the recent software update that my Note 4 was asking for me to install it. All Stock.
The problem is that after the update, I'm having a poor battery life for example at night. Before I could have just 2% drop at night, now I have like 10/12%. I'm having wakelocks from time to time, without touching the phone.
Anyone knows how to report this to the developers? Because this was a poor update..
Thank you guys!

The Chinese variant of Oxygen OS called the Hydrogen OS is beings updated to version 10 The H2OS v10 comes to OnePlus 5 with the latest Android security patch level. Just to clarify, there are v8-9 otas for h2os but are mostly minor updates. So, Oxygen os probably will not update until oreo.

Just wondering they do not update until Oreo It's not like the world stops before Oreo . The minor update you are talking about isn't that minor it is the most important one a security update.
so based on that benchmark scoring Im guessing H2OS is a bit more optimized for speed and battery?

After being on freedomos for a while and coming to hydrogen i have to say this is actually insanely fast and well optimized. This is the best android experience ive ever had. Each singular percent of my battery depletes so slowly i actually got sick of watching it for tests. I have my own set of tweaks i enjoy using on kernel adiutor and franco kernel (which works btw) that i can get an hour of SoT in 5-6%. Very nice without all the google extras i do believe that plays a major role in the battery saving as well as Franco
How do I get Google play store to work also do OOS based kernels work ? For example blu_spark ??

Question Released UI 4.0 with A13 should i update?

Today my Realme GT2 RMX3311 received the packet for the last update to UI 4.0 and A13, i see on official forum there are many problems, battery drain, mic issues and other, but other people say the opposite, any review?
Update: I updated to A13 and everything is exactly the same, hi I'm using it about 2-3 weeks and I didn't Found any issues.
No battery drain, no screen problems and the new UI 4.0 is excellent.
Don't update to a13
Battery is bad and overheating

I've been using a13 for a while now. For me it works without a problem. I did not notice any major errors
I've been using it here for around two weeks and battery lasts the same as on Android 12 in my case, and I couldn't find any big issues. Microphone seems to work fine here too, at least on calls.
I did the upgrade, seems all goes right, but, on device information, i read Realme UI 3.0 (!), Android Version 13, Build number RMX3311_11_C.06.
Clicking on "update control" i read Realme UI 4.0 | Android 13...
Is it maybe a transitional update, or what?
I've also updated to Android 13 and didn't had any issues. The things I didn't liked in Android 12 also persist in android 13, like bad automatic brightness in low light, the audio quality in videos recorded with the camera...

That's because the update was made before the realme UI 4.0 announcement. Future builds should have the correct name, but will be the same thing. (Right now you have realme UI 4.0 just with 3.0 naming).

Question Update(s) recommendations for a new GT 2 phone (possible issues?)

Hi,
I've read her about some performance/battery-life/heating issues that seem to appear with newer updates (ColorOS related?).
Will you recommend to NOT update the phone from it's original factory default release? Any other recommendations?
Thanks!
Well, my phone right now has a SOT of 5 to 6 hours. I am on the april 2023 update of RUI. I'm planning to switch to a custom rom(probably pixelos) when the bootloader unlocks, cause I have heard a lot of good things.

Any specific reason? I think 6 hours SOT is expected, isn't it? What do you mean "when boot unlocks"?

It refers to the bootloader, currently the servers to request the unlocking of the bootloader are down.
By unlocking the bootloader it allows you to modify the operating system that comes with the phone by default

Exactly what RinxTM said. The bootloader is currently locked, because the unlock servers are down. I want to switch to a custom rom because I have heard that it improves battery life and overall stability. Also, the variable refresh rate ACTUALLY works unlike RUI.
This is from the upcoming 13.1 June changelog:
"
Updates Dynamic Computing Engine to improve system smoothness, stability, battery life, and app experience."
Do you think it's worth waiting to see there is real improvement before trying a new ROM?
