What's ColtOS
Needless to say, ColtOS Project is custom ROM based on AOSP by a team of learners with all the necessary customizations, without compromising the stability and security of the device.
We have cherry-picked the features from many other open-source roms/projects and we are very thankful to all of them!
We try to keep ColtOS as stable as possible, on an off chance you faced any issues with official builds, please let us know via our official telegram group or XDA thread.
Team ColtOS
We, The ColtOS Team, are a bunch of Android enthusiast coming from a wide variety of industries (some of them don't even belong to anything related to programming or coding). But we like what we do.
We are young and growing team of learners. We are still learning and helping each other learn as well. Thanks to entire ColtOS team for giving their precious time to this Project.

Yes man it's best to follow the dev's instructions to minimise the chance of bricked/bootloop.

Reason is simple...
Our device have A/B Partition..
When first time we flash OOS, it will Flash it in Inactive slot.
After reboot our Inactive slot become active slot. So again we flash OOS so it will make sure we have Same OOS in both slots..
If are already on OOS, No need to flash it twice.. Flash same build again with TWRP, reboot into recovery & flash ROM..

Hello Devs,

Sorry bro.. As of now, All the custom ROM's are based on OOS10.. You need to flash OOS10 Stable build..
Also, You need to be on decrypted storage to keep your data..
If you are on Encrypted storage on OOS11, You need to wipe your data as Encryption is not same..
Maybe you can try with removing Lock screen pass/pin/pattern but i can't guarantee about data..

#Reserved for announcements!
06/25/2019:
* If you are lucky enough to be on one of @ZVNexus early working builds of TWRP then I have included a flashable ROM zip in the Download section of the OP. I would assume the flashing instructions would go as follows but I cannot 100% confirm anything myself at the moment due to my T-mobile variant being carrier locked for the next 40 days. On Saturday I switched from VZW to T-mobile and their buyers remorse policy will not allow an unlock until after 40 days of service. Until then I am relying on my TG chat testers for feedback so please, ALL the feedback I can get is GREATLY appreciated!
07/09/2019:
* Well it seems that @ZVNexus has a fully working version of TWRP in version 3.3.1-4. As before I have provided a flashable ROM zip for TWRP and also the images for a manual flash. This build includes Dank kernel now which is my personally maintained kernel. The features of Dank kernel include Kcal (advanced color control), Wake gestures from @flar2 , and HBM (high brightness mode). I do not upstream my kernel because I am a noob and I trust google to fix any conflicts that may occur when upstreaming more than myself. This update brings the July security update on the ROM and device side and a few bugs worked out with translation.
07/17/2019
* Yes! I very kind T-mobile associate unlocked my bootloader for me via twitter DM's. Anyone with T-mobile I highly suggest using this method for customer service in general! Let the games begin!
*** Special thanks to @MVNO DeSIngS for testing my blind builds! ***
FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR TWRP (maybe) lol :
1. Make sure you are coming from a clean install of the latest 9.0.0 factory image from google with TWRP installed. (backup any important data to an external source)
2. Wipe data, System and Dalvik/ ART ccache.
3. Flash ROM
4. Flash twrp installer zip
5. Boot into OS.... Enjoy! (Remember Gapps are included so no worries about that and NEVER flash magisk or third party kernels until AFTER first boot and setup!)
11/16/2019
* This is the initial build of Bootleggers ROM for Android 10. MOSTLY ALL FEATURES ARE MISSING. Relax, good things are coming! Make sure to pay close attention to the install instructions as they have changed from PIE. Enjoy!
glad i was able to test it out .

Don't have my 3a XL yet, but plan on flashing this as soon as I get it. Link to the flashable zip goes to the system.img file, and on the 3a non-XL page it points to an actual zip. Intended?

Yeah...that link needs an update.

Checking in and asking people who would like to test to follow the link I provide. It seems that the installs are working fairly well with TWRP now so I will continue to add both flashable twrp version of the ROM and the images for fastboot. The following link is me experimenting with our kernel source. I have decided to stick with a pure AOSP base without the upstream mainly because I trust google more than myself to clean up conflicts. This link will always stay the same as the builds are updated.

But what is the proper procedure for updating the Rom via twrp without losing data? When I tried to flash the .zip, it seemed to work, but upon reboot, it booted to pixel recovery.

Just a quick question, does Android Auto work fine? Cos other Q ROMs have screen flickering issue with Android Auto.
For those wondering.... It doesn't work on Verizon blahhh lol stupid Verizon!!
hey i clean flashed this rom..it reboots to twrp with set_policy_failed ; /data/display message
This ROM works well. Still testing the different features but really impressed. Thanks Devs
For an initial Build Really Impressive. I haven't tried any other Q Builds. Almost everything works. Dark Theme isn't Pure Black like on Pixels. And I know it's a bit early to ask for features but perhaps the option to hide the Pill while using Q Navigation?

The only issues i found so far are that, lockscreen clock doesn't change no matter how many times you try. and second, i really wished it had double tap to wake screen but i can't find it anywhere in this rom
edit: nvm i found double tap to wake lol. but clock issue is still there
Is there going to be any Verizon support in the future?
I swear, nobody reads my posts. Verizon will NOT be fully functional in ANY 10/Q ROMs for OP6T until the necessary blobs are taken from OnePlus' official 10 release.

The only issues i found so far are that, lockscreen clock doesn't change no matter how many times you try. and second, i really wished it had double tap to wake screen but i can't find it anywhere in this rom

""ROM OS Version: Android 10

But why 9.0.6 firmware when the latest is Pie 9.0.17 and Q is 10.0.1
Can the developer help us to understand?
Secondly, is this only for op6t or for its cousin op6 as well?
The flashing instructions seem to be generic and not mentioning about a/b position slots...
Why 9.0.6? Let me go grab my trowel and bone dusters, I'm about to construct some dino skeletons y'all
Lol.. every link in the OP leads to the devs PayPal? WTH?
Yippeeeeeeee......
Here's our all time favorite ROM.
Always blessed to be a part of this amazing team. Xtended love forever.
For all who are looking for flashing instructions
Always backup your data in A/B partitions.
Coming from oos Q
1.Downgrade to latest OOS pie + Twrp
2. Boot into oos - enable developer settings - debugging mode
3. Reboot to Twrp - flash Xtended + Twrp installer
4. Reboot to recovery - flash gapps & magisk
5. Reboot to system - profit.
6. If it doesn't boot - recovery - wipe data - yes - Reboot.
Coming from oos pie or other roms
1. Go to recovery
2.Wipe data, dalvik,
3. Reboot to Twrp - flash Xtended + Twrp installer
4. Reboot to recovery - flash gapps & magisk
5. Reboot to system - profit.
6. If it doesn't boot - recovery - wipe data - yes - Reboot.
If u boot into your previous rom it means u are booting into other slot. So flash Xtended on other slot as well. Then u will be fine.

There is Babloo289... Another great support. Three instructions normally are enough but i haven't checked.
This a/b is one of the best stupid stories created when so many single partition slot devices were working so well.
Thanks

True that....
Flashing on normal devices is love. On A/B it's a pia.... Such complicated process coz Google doesn't want people to use custom roms may be. ?
They aren't getting as much analytics as they get in stock roms.

Just did a dirty flash over Evolution and all working fine apart from Google Apps crashing.
Which Gapps are to be flashed? Unofficial OpenGapps 10 or Official Gapps 9?
Why not on the latest 10.1 firmware?

Good question, as Android 10 is greyed out. I'll suggest the unofficial for Android 10 for certain.
Brave move dirty flashing over Evolution (as that's the ROM I'm currently on too)

You can't use any custom roms without first converting your TMobile 6t to an international/global model and unlocking bootloader... Etc etc .
See: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/t-mobile-6t-to-international-t3888307
Also there's a thread dedicated to rom installation in guides section that's helpful. Once your converted and update your OOS to latest (10.3.5) and your bootloader is unlocked, you can then install custom recovery aka TWRP and follow installation directions from the op here. (original post) Hope that helps.

Explain more in detail what it is you are doing installation wise. What are you wiping specifically? What recovery version and which exact to TWRP are you using? More details more help...
I'm glad you picked this one. Hope to see a lot more from you.
Installed and set up fine. Passes safetynet out of the box. Other feature packed ROMs tend to have gapps preinstalled. Thank you for not including that. I like my gapps stack light.

Same here, I switched kernels and it seemed to fix the problem.
But before I switched I noticed that the colors looked muted. Anyone else noticing the dullness of the colors?
Everytime I try to setup my fingerprint the phone crashes and the systemui reboots. Does anyone else have this problem or should I redownload and reflash?

Try to plug your charger and reboot. It schould work.
New build up! Hit that thanks button.
This build mainly fixes problems with the initial build.
Fixes:
Fixed booting for some devices
Fixed an issue where device won't boot if it isn't plugged in
Fixed FOD causing a SystemUI crash
Fixed a crash in Ambient Display options
Fixed FOD animations not working
Fixed FOD icon being blank
Note: Please use the wide display configuration in OnePlus Settings if you feel the display colours are washed out. A clean flash is recommended.
Happy flashing!
Does this rom support system wide app locker and is parallel space like feature build in this rom?
Best rom for OP6T atm!

@Ashutosh Sundresh Thanks for building this ROM for the 6T! I have a just have a couple of questions.

2. What do you think the release schedule for new builds will be?
I've heard good things about this ROM, great job man!

First off, thanks for being a developer for this great ROM and great phone!
Just a couple things I have noticed after installing this ROM
1. When going to the updater it just crashes the settings.
2. Even after changing the screen color from MSM settings and OnePlus settings it still looks washed out.

Hi there!
1. Updater crashes, because it's not implemented until the rom becomes official. (Probably we don't have to wait long for that)
2. On my end i see a difference, if i change panel modes.
Try wide color mode.

Same on my 6t.
The only thing I wish MSM had is smartbar. Roms I know that have it on 6t are Havoc (no maintainer anymore), AOSiP, PiXeN and Corvus. Just sharing my opinion is all. This is an awesome beast of a rom and it's very beautiful!!! Awesome job on the 2nd ever build!!!!! ? I love the option to have random colors all over. Super bad ass!!
Smartbar:
Not directed at any user in particular just a sidenote for anyone who may not know what smartbar is.. In Android pie/9 DU member BRD made something called DUI and it was/is pulse, fling and smartbar. Smartbar is the option to set your nav buttons, back, home and recent to long press or double tap and go to an app of your choice or an action or any other setting on your device. We used to be able to add extra keys on pie but I don't believe that's the case on Android 10. Just a heads up for what smartbar is in case there's anyone who may not have known. Thrilled that smartbar has now been ported to Android 10 along with pulse and fling!

No matter what I try, I end up getting Error code 1 when I try to install. I followed the steps to the dot mentioned in the OP, But it seems that I may be doing something wrong. Can someone help me with this.
The first installation is quite complicated but subsequent update is easy. This is how I install:-
1) # fastboot flash recovery recovery-TWRP-3.4.2B-0624-REDMI_K30-CN-wzsx150.img (install twrp from pc)
Recovery -> Wipe > Format data -> reboot to recovery
Recovery -> Copy rom files (stock rom, Xtended rom, Gapp, Magisk) from Pc to phone storage -> reboot to fastboot mode
2) # fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.4.0-14-phoenix-unified-mauronofrio.img (install twrp from pc)
Recovery -> Install -> stock rom (miui_PHOENIX_V12.0.5.0.QGHCNXM_fc51e1211b_10.0.zip)
-> Wipe -> Swipe to Factory Reset
-> Install -> Android 11 rom (Xtended-XR-v1.0-phoenix-OFFICIAL-20201014.zip or latest)-> Reboot
3) Recovery -> Install -> Gapp (NikGapps-omni-arm64-11-20201010-signed.zip) -> reboot
4) Recovery -> Install -> Root (Magisk-21.0) -> Reboot
Good luck!
My Oneplus One died and no amount of tinkering with it can revive it(Already replaced LCD twice, motherboard, power and volume buttons, etc...).
I'm moving on to another phone and I'm particularly interested in Poco X2.
I was looking around and I saw a fairly priced used Redmi K30 China rom with an unlocked bootloader. I'm thinking of buying that.
I'm used to LineageOS, as they still release official nightlies for Oneplus One. I think if I were to move on to my purchase of the Redmi K30, I'll be flashing this ROM since I like the simplicity of it.
I just have a query, since the Poco X2/Redmi K30 has 120hz, if I flash this rom can I tweak it to just 60hz?
Looking forward to this rom and thanks @jngiag for the detailed instructions and the dev team for making this rom.
There is an option to select 60/90/120 Hz. No further tweak is needed. To confirm it, there is an option to display the refresh rate in the developer option if you need it.
This rom is very stable and has very good power usage.

Nice. Thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully I can buy the phone this Tuesday. Can't wait!
Android Auto is not working. It is working in Android 11 DerpFest. I have tried all other Android 11 roms. This is one of the best Android 11 rom.
