Question 120 hz refresh rate on youtube - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Youtube app not supporting 120 hz, is there anyway to enable it? Miui 12.5.8

Are there any videos on YouTube, with higher fps than 60?

Go to settings > Apps > Manage Apps and search Battery and Optimisation (click search all if can't find) then probably you will find the app. Then click in and clear data, viola you get 120Hz on YouTube smoother scrolling

Question How to force 60Hz in Youtube Vanced and on AOD?

When 120Hz is enabled in settings, Youtube app will run at lower 60Hz which saves the battery (since there is no need to view 30fps videos in 120Hz)
But Youtube Vanced runs at fixed 120Hz - is there any way to force Vanced to also run at 60Hz? By adding vanced youtube bundle id to system table or something?
Also is there a way to force AOD to run at 60Hz (or lower?) - Always On Display runs at 120Hz fixed which is super unnecessary and just drains the battery
Especially the Always On Display should not run in 120hz, that is totally crazy. How do you know that it does?

it does... enable the power monitor in dev settings and you see it
it does always, no idea why
it could run at 1Hz would be enough

enable show refresh rate option in developer settings - it shows 120Hz on AOD

display on Mi 11 is not capable of running at 1Hz, I think 48Hz is the lowest it can go (but not sure even of that or if 60Hz is a hard minimum)
The better choice is to using 90hz rate all the time, good balance between 60/120hz. Seriously i don't see any difference in game/apps between 90/120 but battery life is really different !
Personnaly if you like so much 120hz, you can replace 60hz by 90hz and keep 90/120 insteak of 60/90hz

I tried 90Hz using the method from the video, but it wasn't good - 90Hz felt like it was below 60Hz, not smooth at all when scrolling
So I didn't like this method at all
It would be best if MIUI had option to choose max refresh rate for each app individually
Forcing max refresh rate in most apps is stupid, especially on AOD

LOL
90Hz it's true, and smooth, you can easily see the difference between 60/90

I've followed method shown in the video after which 90Hz was enabled (I enabled refresh rate indicator in dev settings so I can see the refresh rate)
scrolling thru app drawer and settings was choppy at 90Hz - there was micro stuttering, not sure why, but it was there
So enabling 90Hz via this method is not good (at least on my Mi 11)

Guys there no "choppy" 90 hz, 90 hz is truly activated, it's not 120 hz. In my case all is smooth. This 90 hz is like 90 hz purposed on MiuiMix. There no good/true or bad method... It's 90 hz, not 120 hz, so just better than 60 hz. No less, no more

Question 120 hz refresh rate does not work on YouTube

I am currently on miui 12.5.8 (latest) on which the 120 hz does not work in YouTube app. Before that when I was on miui 12.5.4 which 120 hz worked for YouTube by doing a trick that is clearing the battery & performance data. Any solution?

Question Refresh not adapting properly in redmi note 11

Whenever I go into games or other social media apps my refresh rate goes down to 60hz but when I'm using settings and other system apps refresh rate is at 90hz, is somebody else facing the same issue? Can you tell how to fix it?
Refresh rate is in the corner
From what I've noticied, the 90Hz refreshrate only works on apps that work in 90FPS. If the app is stuck to 60FPS, then it'll force the refreshrate down to 60Hz
But why is it refresh rate going down in call of duty
Not every app supports 90hz.
Call of duty is supposed to support because it is a "popular" gaming app, and gaming apps should be able to support 90hz
did you consider the fact the processor just doesn't have the horsepower to run cod on 90 ?
a lot of phones default to the lowest fps when using apps , not the phones fault but the way the app is coded

Question Any way to really force 144 hz in every app?

I noticed that Snapchat constantly runs at 60 hz and also if you use the google maps pop up and scroll through other apps while having it open on the screen, it runs at 60 hz.
Is there any mod/app which forces 144 hz in every situation?
i think that is app issue due most apps are not really optimized for runs more than 60Hz
You can force it to 144Hz under Display > Display refresh rate.
However, forcing the screen to 144Hz may cause unnecessary stutter. Many app/games run smoother in 60fps which they're designed for. If the video content is in 30fps, it plays smoother at a multiple of the frame rate - like 60/120hz.
Use Motos gaming app, I am forcing snap and maps with that

How To Guide [NEEDS-UPDATE][NO-ROOT] Enable Game Frame Interpolation

It seems the Realme GT 2 partially supports Game Frame Interpolation
as I can use it on games such as Genshin Impact
but by default there is no option for it
This Chinese version of the game space provides you this option
Pros:
• Game Frame Interpolation
• Ultra Steady Game frames mode
• Auto play option
• Network optimisation option
• Shows network latency
• Super Resolution option (says it increases resolution of games)
Cons:
• Voice changer not available
• floating system resources usage/fps meter not available
• some text in Chinese (minimal)
• increases temperatures and battery drain rate when using game frame interpolation (frame plus)
Q) Why does it only show 60 fps in other monitoring apps even though game frame interpolation is enabled and realme game space monitor tool reports 120 fps
A) my guess is other monitoring tools don't count the fake frames generated using game frame interpolation
How to Install: simply install the apk given below and it will give you a prompt to update
How to uninstall: go to app management settings > find game assistant > app info > uninstall updates

Edit: please note that game frame interpolated 120 fps is only a little bit smoother than original 60 fps and not as smooth as original 120 fps
Hi, It seems this method no longer works, I have a method that is based on this but it requires root, if time suffices I'll update the guide
