Question Where can I get the Xiaomi Native dailer - Call recorder? - Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Hi!
Where can I get the native dailer of Xiaomi?
Why? To test the native call recorder functionality.

Probably you will have to change ROM to one with standard Xiaomi native dialer (xiaomi.eu, China ROM)* not sure if there is another way.
* - unlocked bootloader is mandatory.
Or try to use some call recording app ?

Stock Indonesia MIUI has native call recording option

Here is a copy from my 11 ultra, EU ROM, Here

How to install on another device?

Just install the app. It is a Xiaomi system app, so unless you have Google dialler you may not be able to. Someone asked, I just exported mine and put it on my mega page for download.

Thanks for your upload.
From my earlier experiments I remember I got the Indonesian Xiaomi Messaging app to work on another Xiaomi device running MIUI global but I had difficulties getting the Indonesian Xiaomi dialer app to work.
It would be great if others could install it on their non-Indonesian stock Xiaomi devices too. Downloading full Indonesian MIUI firmware only to get the call recording option is a waste of bandwidth...

I use the custom Xiaomi EU ROM and just extracted it using APK Extractor. I don't have root or access to system files, so cannot show it installed. Just try it. If it won't install, don't use use it. However, having memory issues, I use the EU ROM because of this app to record calls. If you are using global or EEA, your best bet is to use the EU ROM unless you love Google apps.

No NFC on global ROM ?

I have the K20 pro, MIUI global 11.0.3 stable (11.0.3 QFKINXM) and for some reason there is no NFC option on my phone.
Is there any other official ROM that I can install that have call recorder and NFC?
It's super important for me to have the call recorder built in as I have at the moment.
Tnx for the help
I'm surprised you have the call recording feature--I've never had that available on the official Global ROM of any Xiaomi phone--although it's possible that feature is available or not based on the region you choose at set up.
You don't have an NFC option under connections and sharing?
It's there on the Global ROM on my phone.
Once again 'global' ROM causes confusion.
Depending on how you look at it, there is either 1 global ROM or 4 global ROMs.
For any ROM that is not Chinese, you will notice that it is referred to as global MIUI in the about phone settings page.
However there are 4 different ROMs that are labelled this way.
Indian
European
Russian
Global
The Indian phone does not have NFC hardware, therefore NFC is disabled in the Indian ROM. You have an Indian ROM installed on your phone.
The European, Russian and Global ROMs all come with the Google dialer app, which does not allow call recording.
If you want non-Chinese MIUI, with working NFC and the MIUI dialer app that allows call recording, then I believe your only option is the xiaomi.eu ROM.

Prior to the Android 10 update on the MI 9T Pro the Global ROMs on every Xiaomi phone I have ever owned had the Xiaomi Dialer and Messaging apps--Xiaomi put out a press release less than two weeks ago confirming the switch to the Google Dialer and Messaging apps on the Global ROMs.
I'm not sure why the OP would be running an official Xiaomi ROM that doesn't correspond to the hardware on his phone.

We're not talking about previous phones, we're talking about the Mi 9T Pro, which has the Google dialer and messaging apps, and has had them since its release.
Only the K20 Pro (both regions) came with the Xiaomi dialer and messaging apps.
All we know is that the OP has a K20 Pro. They may have the Indian version, in which case they have the correct MIUI ROM. Otherwise, they obviously don't want to live with the Chinese MIUI ROM.

Head to www.xiaomi.eu site and from the menu bar on left. You have two options. 1.Stable roms are not updated very frequently and are with lesser to zero bugs. 2. Weekly developer roms if you want to experience new features early but may have bugs.
Before flashing a .eu rom you will have to unlock your bootloader and flash a custom recovery. You will find all the related info and procedures in XDA development threads.

@fernoct much appreciated your help and the answer
I have a K20 Pro Premium Edition. Currently, there is only the China ROM available for the Premium Edition.
I was able to flash the K20 Pro Global ROM on it, then I discovered it doesn't have call recording (which I need). So then I flashed the K20 Pro Indian ROM on it and it has call recording, but missing Dual GPS and NFC. The mobile signal strength seems to be weaker as well, compared to when I was on the K20 Pro Premium Edition China ROM.
I know there are recording apps out there, but I prefer to run the native call recording if possible. The main problem for me is the signal strength on the Indian ROM. It sucks and I'm wondering if flashing a different region firmware will fix this? Can someone confirm?

Question Google Maps Timeline/Location History not working on Mi 11 Ultra China

Like the title states, I'm unable to activate the location history in Google maps. I've granted basically all permissions to Google maps and location is set to 'On', but the option to turn on location history glitches out when pressed.
Anybody have this activated? Or have any ideas to fix it?
Thanks!
I would suggest for you to unlock the bootloader and install the global or EU rom, I was on the CN rom and it would revoke everything I had set with google after a period of time..

My preference would be the official global ROM, is there a guide for it?

If you are using Chinese stock ROM, the Google services framework installed was only a mini version, well it was on mine. You need Xiaomi EU, Global or EEA versions with full GSF installed for Google history to work as expected.

Apps don't work very well, sound is very low.
install a Xiaomi EU rom or Indonesien stock rom
Unlocking bootloader mandatory
Root your phone.
"Call Recorder - SKVALEX" works with just root on my Note 5G. Many others will work after systemizing them:
Call recording on Android (9/10) PIE/Q roms [ROOT]

I use true phone. It does not need root for recording and is excellent dialler. It is developed here in xda and possible to install from play.

True Phone does not record phone calls on these phones, the option doesn't even show up. It's not possible to record without root with any app.

I heard, people had problems. They reports only speaker source is recording. I found a change in working on mi 9 lite with los 16 it records both sources the same good, but on los 18.1 the speaker source is louder than the calling source. I tested today on my wife Poco M3 pro and it worked excelent with the same voice level for both sources (MIUI Europe). True phone does not use root.
Someone has written, it works only if android's brand do not block it. Because Xiaomi uses this functionality it has no problem in MIUI. Maybe it is true.
I rooted the device just for the Call recording feature, didn't find any other way around it.

Well, like I said, I already rooted the device. I read that the EU rom doesn't support call recording, as the laws in EU are harsher, and not sure what other differences the Indonesian rom may have, so I just kept the global rom, only rooted.

Call Recorder on Google Play works very well, with the stock global rom but occasionally needs a permission to be reset. This is a minor issue. Call quality is very good.
You can have Miui call recorder, for this you must download the global correct rom on the site "en.miui.com", it exists two global rom's, one for europe and one for the rest of the world... you must use this last one
Hi every one who is interested i already posted but posts are removed so i tried again

Question Can I flash Redmi Note 11 running MIUI 13 Global RGCINXM with Indonesian RGKIDXM?

Hi all, I have recently purchased a Redmi Note 11 in India running MIUI 13 Global (RGCINXM). This ROM comes with a google dialer and I would like to revert to MI Dialer. I have flashed one of my older phones successfully with an Indonesian version to get back the MI dialer, however in that case, the ROM names were similar except for the country code (RGCxxXM for example).
I can't seem to find the exact same Indonesian ROM for my Redmi note 11 and wanted to check with the others if it would be safe to flash with the Indonesian NFC variant (RGKIDXM) to replace my current ROM (RGCINXM).
Could anyone please share their experiences?
Many Thanks.

Thanks much. I was actually preferring to stick with stock ROM and not root the phone. If I were to stick with stock, would you or anyone recommend going for the NFC ROM from Indonesia (RGKIDXM)? I saw a couple of YouTube videos doing so, but wanted to make sure it wouldn't make things too messy.

The rom that I recommend does not require root
.
For the Indonesian rom no choice.
The bootloader must be unlocked(erase your data).
https://new.c.mi.com/global/post/101245

then after 168 hours
Use this tool (read carefully, erase your data).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do a backup with Micloud.
With Indonesian rom you will have to lock the bootloader with Miflash otherwise the play store will not be certified, which is not the case with the Xiaomi Eu rom.

Thanks, just read carefully. Makes sense to flash with the Xiaomi EU ROM that you suggested. Just a couple of quick questions. Given that these are third party, are they secure to use?
And I read that these are based on MIUI China ROM. So hopefully there won't be any issues with Play store?
And last question, if I were to flash with the stock Indonesian ROM, can I replace the RGCxxxxx (non NFC) verison with RGKxxxxx (NFC) version?
Thanks for your help again!
