Purchased Used P20 Pro with unlocked bootloader

Hi all,
I've purchased a used P20 Pro from a friend which has an unlocked bootloader and has been previously rooted. I normally keep my phones stock so I want to lock relock the bootloader (I have the code) but despite trying to follow various guides I have been unsuccessful.
Would anyone be able to guide me through the process of relocking the bootloader please?
The main reason I like to keep stock is manufacture updates etc and I don't have the knowledge to maintain a rooted phone.

I don't believe that an unlocked bootloader will prevent you from getting updates. As far as I know the only difference is the warning you get when you boot that "you can't trust the phone."
IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Don't know if there is another way but of you have fastboot and adb you can do it:
1. Make sure developer options are enabled
2. Connect your phone to the computer using USB cable.
3. Open a command window and type 'adb boot bootloader'
4. Once the device has booted into the bootloader mode type 'fastboot oem lock'
This WILL ERASE all your user data and you will have to configure everything from scratch. You will need the unlock code if you ever want to unlock it again so make sure you don't loose it.

Is there a way to enable fingerprint recognition after unlocking the bootloader?

I want to root my device and in order to do that, I need to unlock the bootloader. However, when I try to unlock the bootloader using Xiaomi's unlock tool (https://en.miui.com/unlock/) it says that the fingerprint recognition will be disabled. Will there be any way to re-enable this once I've rooted the device?
I unlocked the bootloader with adb/cmd and fingerprint works normal. No problems so far.
"Xiaomi unlock tool" is not for Android One devices

No, that's not true. It probably applies to other Xiaomi devices, but this line of devices is special. These come with Android One, which runs Google's pure OS rather than regular Xiaomi devices that run MIUI.
I'm going to unlock and root (hopefully) mine. You shouldn't face any problems with the fingerprint.

Is it possible to get Bootloader unlock code on a rooted device?

I've unlocked my phones bootloader and rooted my phone. But I've lost bootloader unlock code!
Is there a way to get bootloader unlock code on a rooted phone?
I mean without dc unlocker or such a service.
Can i get the code with adb command or a rooted app or can i find it in a system file?
I'm on pra-la1 and emui 8 and my phones bootloader is unlocked and it's rooted.

Have you tried this? In principle you could even enter the command "su -c ..." in a terminal directly on the phone.

Hi
I've tried it but the first code didn't work. The second that someone else said somehow worked but the codes that the power shell show are like this
Uuuuu dddd
It says that permission denied and are not showing the code completely. Maybe it doesn't work on emui 8 anymore

Is there any way to unlock the Bootloader?

Hi everybody,
So I wanted to root the phone for my dad because of the low storage issue solution and saw that Huawei doesn't really support this for a time now. I saw some links and guides about DC unlocker but it looks shady. Can you guys enlight me that is it still possible or not to unlock this phone's bootloader as of today?
The model is: CHE-L11
Thanks for the help.
i tried temporary root my honor 4x (che2-l11) using kingroot just to obtain unlock code inside system file. there's unlock code inside the system file called nvme. So this is what i did :
1) after root, search Inside the folder /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/ look for a file called nvme
2)extract the nvme file and name it to nvme.txt so that u can read it with any text reader and find a keyword called WVLOCK and next to it is your unlock code
3) save the unlock code then i reflash stock firmware just to get rid of kingroot app(u no longer need root access after this)
4) boot into fastboot using cmd and type fastboot oem unlock [your unlock code]
5) i have successfully unlock my bootloader
after that i can freely flash twrp/root/install custom rom and do whatever i wanted.
since theres no option left (huawei stopped giving unlock code from their website) this is how i obtain unlock code.
if any of you guys knows other method on how to temporary root honor 4x let me know.
So I recently tried a method to unlock the bootloader with DCUnlocker which worked fine and installed twrp also rooted the phone. Sadly it's not free it was 4 euro to get the code but it was worked 100%.
Thanks! Taswim.Your method work.
I have Honor 4x (CHE2-L12). After unlock I can flash twrp-3.0.2-0-cherry + SuperSU-v2.82
