Talk to the Mecri seller about the issue. The simplest way unlock FPR is using original Google account password. Or you can download an APK to bypass FPR. Google search returns many tools to bypass.

I can't stand reading content when obviously someone needs real answers not being advised to take it to a repair shop. XdA is about people coming together to help share code and troubleshoot devices. Some of you guys are so green. You must not have made the cut to work for google.

some people don't like giving out info that would be useful to people who steal phones.

I was successful on att version I was on Android 10 but I had to upgrade to 11 bootloader 2 to work..I used a moto g7 plus as my device to transfer google account with smart switch and it only worked with wireless transfer not OTG.. The software i used is the same in all the videos that boots you to chrome or YouTube after you disable antivirus and signature verification in windows 7/8/10/11....I found one updated video that had the most important information because i spent two weeks stuck on failure to launch chrome script and searching and I hate that Indian techno dub step music...lol... USE WINRAR ONLY TO UNPACK THE PROGRAMS WINDOWS UNPACK 7ZIP OR TERMINAL UNPACK FAILS.... then once you chrome YouTube scroll to version then feedback then find rom in search bar select Samsung store update then select smartswitch to restore backup google account and lock screen pattern... Profit..and no I didn't steal mine mine was an unclaimed repair bad info and 60 days later I'm the official owner registered on samsung.com and brought it back to att as byop....until I purchased carrier unlock from carrierunlocker.net for $25...

Samsung releases "Samsung Dive"...

researching something else, came across this - samsung just released "samsung Dive" in Germany & UK - an app that lets you wipe or lock your phone remotely if lost or stolen
http://www.slipperybrick.com/2010/07/samsung-dive-remotely-locks-wipes-your-wave-galaxy-s-for-free/
I just signed up for it and tried it. Annoying that they're not enabling the tracking service depending on the country, wavesecure does that and more... If there a way to work around it by a proxy or such?
how do you sign up on the galaxy s? i cant seem to find what its asking for, and there is nothing in the user guide about the galaxy s

you need to sign up via the application within the phones app
where is that exactly? i cant seem to find it, thanks in advance!
From homescreen, go into settings -> location & security -> set mobile tracker
Have fun
You need a Samsung account first. In settings go to the area where it allows you to add various accounts like facebook/gmail and add a samsung account... then go to http://www.samsungdive.com/index.do
then enable mobile tracking ...
login with the account you made etc
full instructions are on that website ...
Thats the problem, in the account settings there is no samsung option, just google, facebook, myspace, twitter and corporate. and the instructions on the website are for the S8500 Wave, not the Galaxy S. enabling mobile tracker in security doesnt work, as again, there is no option to create an account, so even if it is set up, you cant access it from the website.
Since its not available in the US yet.
SIM Checker
Remote Wipe
Where's My Droid
3 apps will do.
annoyingly, i'm in the uk so it is available where i am, just i cant access it
Anyone managed to sign into the website yet. I can't find any option to create an account on my phone

i figured it out.
in contrast to the website, in order to create your samsung account, you have to enable mobile tracker first. then after setting it up do you get the option to make your samsung account, which is the opposite of the information on the website, saying that you need to make the account first and then enable mobile tracker. hope this helps anyone who was stuck
Brilliant, thanks
I'm trying to sign up for an account now, and it's coming back with an error message, saying "invalid birthday" .... which is odd - I'm fairly sure my birthday is NOT invalid - I am fairly sure I have in fact been born!

Had the same error. Just ignored it and signed up without entering a birthday. When I logged in, my birthday was correctly registered :/

When we know Samsung's skills to implement working and bug free software, do you dare to install that piece of software that can wipe off your phone I'm not sure, if I dare.
The service don't seem to work though. Tried sending a remote lock command, and it said it was successful, but I can still use the phone without providing the lock code.
Might be dependant on TwLauncher though. I use LauncherPro
it says it's only for UK and Germany

Is anyone having any luck signing up with the Web Tracker?
I've got a Galaxy S on Froyo, and it won't let me sign up. I fill in all the fields fine, but then get this error: "Unable to sign up. Processing failed IDM_1105"
Any ideas?
All signed up and seems to be working. Sent a location request and waiting for reply now. The register being hidden under the on screen keyboard did have me stumped for a while. Also date of birth is YYYY DD MM so not easy to get right without an example.

[Q] Stolen Samsung Galaxy

Hey guys,
i have got a little problem:
my Galaxy S was stolen this weekend and because i'm kind of naive i didn't configurated any anti-theft software, neither nor uTrack. Well is there any possibility to track it by using the IMEI No? (it's already not accessible via my phone number)
I already complained to the police. But because i hope that here is some crack who has a idea what else i can do
I'm looking forward to read some hints !
Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure if this would work...
but if someone does take it online, the new number should get registered against your google account (provided it is saved and turned on by default)...
so you might be able to get their new phone number and ask the police to locate them with help of the network operator?
if it should be so easy, where can i fand that option? (i'm honestly not used to the google webinterface)
Try google dashboard: https://www.google.com/dashboard/?hl=en&pli=1
Also go on the market interface on web, in the settings you can see the last time your account was accessed and the carrier used
also you should be able to report the imei to your carrier which can put it on a blacklist to be blocked so it would be useless as aphone.
if u blacklist it however you wont ever be able to track it.
im not sure where u live, but if u discuss the situation with the police, carrier and google they should be able to triangulate and find the location of the phone.
also, if there was a remote wipe facility u could have saved your private data.

and i'll highlight the importance of that again
if it's stolen, it is stolen, it's gone, you wont be able to recover it unless you had installed some of those protective apps in the past.
if you do get lucky enough to find your phone
your carrier will be more than happy to remove it from the black list
so do it now!

Questions for Chinese model users only

Hi
This is a post directed to anyone who owns/has purchased their X50 5G from China as I am trying to confirm that they have the same issues with their phone as me, or whether my issues are specific to my phone, so thanks in advance!
I've run the phone from factory reset a few times as I've encountered a few problems or have noticed differences to what the user guide says to what the phone displays within the menus.
Most importantly (for me) is the fact that their is no Google Location History available. Even before adding an account, if I go to Additional settings > Google > Account services > Location > More Settings I get access to Emergency Location Services, Google Location Accuracy but Google Location History is greyed out and so cannot be tuned on when logged in, the device is not registered for location history.
Also, once Google Assistant is installed and set up, if the Home button is pressed for the allotted time, it may appear, but no voice recognition works, even when the app is selected as the default option. Also, I've noted that within the user guide and online, I've seen an option within the Convenience Aid (although on my phone its called Convenience Tools) menu called Awake Google Assistant, but my phone does not have that.
Maybe it's just that I haven't set the correct permissions as they are way more complicated than standard Android settings, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
In fact there seems to be a lot of differences between what the user guide says and what's actually on the phone.
I've also noticed that conference calls do not seen to work when I get two calls and try to merge.
Can anyone provide any useful comments to either say that they experience the same, or it works from stock, or how to resolve any of the above?
Cheers
I have this same phone same issues, plus you can't set google messages or any other messaging app as default, you can't remove there app market. And NO GOOGLE DISCOVER ON LEFT SWIPE SCREEN.

Wow, i might be opted for the same. This Chinese models or best to say it...Realme fails as a brand. It's their responsibility. It's pretty much obvious they sell stupid products. per se they have their own brand or the **** they care about global consumers..ad why they make it available outside their country.
Realme is a stupid brand nothing more. I'll try to sell this trash too.

If your don't mind, maybe you could post how did you recovery your phone in the future.
Good luck.

General Warning - Remove Smarttag before changing Samsung account

So I got a Smarttag with S21 Ultra which I setup at the time in Feb but never really used and left in a draw.
Last week I deleted my Samsung account and created a new one due to Samsung not having an option to change your account country.
I then decided to try out the Smarttag again and found out that it was still linked to my old Samsung / Smartthings Account so I could not add it to the new account.
I tried all the ways to reset it but still got the message that the Tag is already in use and to remove it from SmartThings first.
Now I have no way to do this due to having deleted my account already!!.
I contacted Samsung support and they have told me there is no way to unlink it now for security reasons.
So my Tag is now e-waste and totally useless.
There is no warning when deleting your Samsung account to remove devices from the SmartThings app and no way to recover it.
Just as a warning for other Smarttag users.
If you could reset any smart tag without owning it, it would be useless as a tracking tag. Same reason you cannot factory reset a phone to clear the owners account when you steal it. Yes, it is a terrible waste but it is a security design. Maybe Samsung could allow them to be refurbished if they are proven to be legit so the waste is less.

Indeed but should be some safe way to get around this - email / sms link to your registered address or phone number.
Even option to recover account within 30 days would help.
I have the receipt and box showing serial number so can be proven it is mine if service centre could do something but support told me nope.
To have no option but to sling it in the bin is dumb, lucky it was on the Smarttag I got for free.
Sir,
I'm facing exactly the same issue with my galaxy smart tag.
The account I'm having now has 100% same id which I had in the account I deleted, only the country has changed from us to india.
Is there anyway out.....

Nope. Even with all receipts and boxes with details to prove it is yours there is no way to reset.

Question Help! My friend's Galaxy S21 Ultra is locked by scammer.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to help out a friend whose phone is now locked by a scammer.
1. My friend has online store at Shop*e (One of the largest E-Commerce apps in South East Asia). The scammer called, claiming they're from Shop*e, and described some of the data of my friend's store in Shop*e, hence the scammer managed to convince my friend that it's from Shop*e.
2. Instead of personal Gmail account, my friend has a separate Gmail for this online store business, so his Galaxy S21 Ultra is logged into that Gmail for the main google account of his phone.
3. The scammer asked for his Google's Security Code which contains Code 1 & Code 2. (Settings -> Google -> Manage your Google Account -> Security (tab) -> Security Code (under 'Signing in to Google).
4. My friend gave out the security codes, now his Galaxy S21 Ultra is locked, and it requires PIN to unlock the phone, and only the hacker knows that PIN. There's no alternative unlock method offered.
5. My friend also checked that his compromised Google account is now logged in to the scammer's phone, Vivo.
Please help, what should I suggest my friend to do beside factory resetting his phone? How can he unlock his phone?
Thank you.
A factory reset won't help; Google FRP is active.
Google it for solutions. Their other problem is their lost Google account. Good luck with that.
Any other accounts/passwords they better have already reset
No saving dumb bunnies... no offense but that is beyond completely inept. So much so I'm hesitant to believe it.

When Google FRP is on, we also can't factory reset from Android Bootloader interface? @blackhawk

I think your totally locked out except for round about procedures.
Never been there... that's going to be fun.
Do you have access to google account?
What's the value for the scammer stealing the account? Maybe he's hoping for information stored in Google Cloud which can be exploited? Getting some paid apps for free in the Google Store? If the victim has payment options which auto populate during an online purchase, these methods should be revoked. What other factors would motivate the theft?

Motivation doesn't really matter in this context; some people simply enjoy harming others.
OP, I think your buddy's best recourse at this point is to factory reset the device, then recover his Google account if possible, and change all passwords that may have been on the device. He should also monitor his bank accounts for fraudulent activity.
Edit: Is the bootloader unlocked?
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound, or sometimes a ton of cure. NEVER, EVER give out any security information, ESPECIALLY to someone you don't know on the Internet.

Not even from recovery mode or bootloader? Edit: apparently not, FRP lock might as well be a hardware lock
Might be able to bypass if bootloader is unlocked

Depends, proving identity can be difficult, and it's true the Big G's customer service is not known for their efficiency or expediency...
If it's an unlocked phone this allegedly should work.
Every other solution is complicated and likely against forum rules to post.
Using the Developer Option:Go to the settings Menu > then About Device > tap on the “Build Number” more than 5 times > go back to settings menu > Now tap on the Developer option > check to Enable OEM Unlock > Done! Now you can reset your phone without facing the FRP lock
My Note 10+'s are unlocked so this solution helps me. I loathe FRP.
