Question unlocking wait period - Xiaomi Mi 11

hello
currently i'm in the wait for the bootloader of my mi 11 to unlock. I did all the process and i'm waiting for the 168 hours to end.
I wonder if i can know how many hours are left and if it's a yes then how.
thank you

No you can't, it's basicaly the same hours of the same day... the next week. So the better advise was to check the clock when you have click for the "Unlock" on Mi Unlock.
If you have a doubt, just be sure to do not want unlock before the remaining time, so flash the same day next week near midnight and you will be sure.

Unlocking bootloader is more simple on any other brand. i think that was my last xiaomi. trying to unlock bootloader for 3 weeks now. Every single time showing: wait for 168 hours.

Really ? :
- Samsung = You lose Knox forever even if you restore / unroot your device
- Huawei = Unlock Bootloader is not permit from 4 years now...
Xiaomi = Just use Mi Unlock with his Xiaomi account logged, asking for unlock and wait 169 hours...

Xiaomi is not responsible for that... You must wait 169 hours like all people want unlock their Redmi/Xiomi devices.
If you have errors, errors are located between you, your phone and your computer.

This is my 4th time to wait 168 hours. Everytime I waited 8 days just to be sure. Always coming error, followed by wait 168 hours.

You need to bind your account to that phone for that stated period,
sucks i know,
you can try with other Mi Account though, since it seems the waiting time is account dependant
yesterday i try with my another older Mi Account created back around Mi3 era, and suprisingly it allow me to unlock right away :silly:

Developer options - device unlock status - bind account
New account wont do, the longer the time since your last unlock will do better
There's no count down btw

Wait 72hours to unlock?!

Just tried to unlock my phone and getting this. Scary, some says they had to wait 7days..!! How to shorten this?
If you got the message aproving your device unlock then you only need to wait 72hrs to unlock it, if not, then you can wait up to 10 days for that aproval
Which approval are you talking about...? I didn't get anything.
I received the acceptance SMS in 7 minutes, tried to unlock and got 72 hours have to wait.
Tried to unlock after 20 hours, 50 hours, and then 71 hours (it is accurate that it told me to wait 1 hour when I tried after 71 hours LoL)
Now i checked it says 50hours. So it should be ok even without that SMS whjch i never got..? From which number does it comes by the way?
Please, how did you check that you have to wait another 50 hours? Six days waiting for SMS and nothing ...
This is absolutely unnecessary of xiaomi....
Just tried unlock procedure again.
Did you use an unlocking service to network unlock your phone?
If so, it means that the unlocking process for your phone needs 72 hours to generate the unlock (be it an unlock code or an unlock confirmation).
This happens usually with certain networks, the waiting time to unlock a device can last from a few minutes to a few days
If you ask unlock permission, you'll receive a SMS with confirm.
When you connect your phone to the unlock tool that you can download from Xiaomi, it will countdown 72hours indeed.
Just relax, and wait
You can try MIUI in the meanwhile, besides the bloat/security crap it's quite a good rom!
Phone unlocked; no problem. But what a disapointment over the Redmi 3S so far..! The notification LED will only flash white. Redwolf recovery does not support encryption. May sound funny bug huge issues for me!
The waiting period was 12-13 days, whether it was normal, I duly sent the request,no SMS, thx.....What do I do?

Don't be lazy anymore. That's a Google search away, people can only help you one first time.
I'd give oreo roms some wait. You can try Nitrogen OS, it has been actively developed. I'm sticking to Resurrection Remix Nougat 5.8.5 for now.
Also, check out Clarity kernel. There are amazing features it can bring.
I already waited over one month still "current account cannot unlock device" due to 86023 hardware Id 异常.

Got myself a Moto G5S meanwhile and I won't use my Redmi 4X until unlocked, somebody logged in at paypal - it's been a 32 digit pass - from america since I bound it to playstore at this device.

Questions about new Mi9 360-hour bootloader unlock wait

Bought a new global 6gb/128 Mi9, it arrived yesterday.
Tried to unlock the bootloader and after doing everything the unlock tool wanted, I was presented with the 360 hour wait.
I've looked over the forums and couldn't really find much information about this, except the following:
Do not sign out of the Xiaomi account on the phone.
Do not reset/wipe/update the Mi9 or it resets the counter
I was thinking of leaving it in the closet for 15 days until I can unlock it, since unlocking wipes the phone.
However, I saw in another thread that there appears to be another check about "using the phone for the number of required hours."
What do I have to do to pass this check?
Yes you need to use or turn on your phone for specified hours (i dont know exactly). Waiting 360 hours is not enough if you just binded mi unlock then leave your phone off. Fortunately you can bypass the usage requirement by using older mi flash unlock. I'm using ver 3.xx and still cant unlock after 360h. I said i need to use my phone more and wait another ****in days. Then I use mi flash unlock ver 2.xx and unlocked successfully.
I guess miui tried to make this unlock process become more difficult so they can still making money by ads
Thanks for the information.
I found version 2.3.803.10 here, is that the version you used to avoid the "time used" limitation?
xiaomifirmware dot com/downloads/download-mi-unlock-2-3-803-10
Hello all
I will receive mine those days, from Netherlands (And I leave in France)
SO I assume I will have the EE version, not the global ? How can I make sure of it and download the right xiaomi.eu ROM ?
The goal for me is unlocking the bootloader, wait the 360 hours, unlock and wipe all, flash twrp, and finally flash the latest xiaomi.eu ROM, cause it seems awesome compared to the stock one.

Take a look at the timestamp for both posts. Cheers.
Don't need to, all the best.
Got my phone 6 days ago and need to wait a bit less than 24 hours now. Guess I got lucky.
In my case it said 360 hours, but I checked maybe 6 or 7 days later and it said 1 hour remaining. I was able to unlock the hour after. So maybe just keep an eye on it. I used the phone as my daily driver though.

URGH - wait for unlock AGAIN and AGAIN...

Background:
- I have had this Xiaomi account for many years and have used it successfully to unlock BLs on 5+ devices
Problem:
- I waited 168 hours to unlock - > error -> please wait additional 240 hours
- I waited 240 hours to unlock - > error -> please wait additional 240 hours
168 + 240 + 240 + ... :crying:
Has anyone else had this issue? What did you do to resolve it?

Yes I've seen others have this problem, as far as I know the only solution that worked was to wait. They tried creating a new Mi account to use for unlocking, but I guess the unlock server validation recognised they was trying to get around the wait period and it still give them the same long wait time on the new account.
I believe this happens if Xiaomi believe you are a reseller installing unofficial ROMs. Have you unlocked many phones recently, within the last couple of months or so? For some reason their algorithm that determines these things must have flagged your account.

Thanks for your advice. In response to your question, the last device I unlocked was a RN5p about 18 months ago.
I read somewhere in the forum that you have to use the phone in order to get it unlocked. Not sure but have you been using the phone regularly while waiting for the unlock?

Yep that's true. I had that problem with my second phone. (Redmi note 7)
I tried to unlock and it said 168 hours. So I turned it off and waited. After 168 hours I got again some hours!
With latest unlock tool you also get the message that your phone needs to be connected and you need to use it actively. But I didn't knew that before. With my Mi 9T Pro i did it like that and voila no issues with unlocking.

Hi Yes.
With me already happened on 2 devices, I waited for the initial time for the unlock and with a few hours left to finish the time I tried and received a new time count (average of 50% of the initial time).
I logged into the device with another xiaomi account and logged out, just this. I logged back in with the initial unlock request account and then tried the unlock and it worked.
I imagine that signing in with another account should start some synchronization process between the device and the account and with that update ....
PS. Be careful, and use only a trusted xiaomi account, as in the event of an error, your device may get stuck with bootloader locked in an unknown account.
Have nice!

By pass 168h

Hi,
Is there anyway to bypass the 168h wait for unlocking? If I use the second account trick I got the message"No phone number associated with this Mi account" and their is a phone number on that account wich also is confirmed.
no bro , the trick didnt work now. and for our device , no unofficial method yet.

If you really cannot wait a week then your only option is to have yourself put in to an induced coma for a week.
