Question dm-verity corruption Redmi Note 10 5G - POCO M3 Pro / Redmi Note 10 5G

Hello,
I don't know if this is right forum. If this is wrong forum, please suggest me the right one.
I have a Redmi Note 10 5G bought at China. There are all Chinese apps and No Google apps. I didn't like it so, decided to flash it into Global ROM. I have done this kind of thing many times before, but never in this device and never got this error. I downloaded the latest Global ROM which was MIUI 12.0.7.0. I extracted it and flashed using Xiaomi ADB and Fastboot tools. Everything was alright. When the device rebooted, I got:
dm-verity corruption.
Your device is corrupted.
It cannot be trusted and may not work properly.
Press power button to continue.
Or, your device will power off in 5s.
I pressed the power button and it got stuck on redmi logo forever.
Then i downloaded MIUI 12.0.6.0 Global. Then flashed it, got the same error? I tried all tricks on internet, nothing worked.
I thought Nothing is working, lets just install Chinese ROM and use it anyway. I flashed Chinese ROM and got the same error ! What is going on? What is problem?? I haven't locked bootloader
I am now hopeless. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Should I take to somewhere to repair, or there is a trick? Any answer will be thanked!
My device:
Redmi Note 10 5G (6GB RAM 128GB ROM)
My PC:
Dell Inspiron 15 3567 (Windows 10 21H1 Latest)
Thank YOU!!!

My guess is you've re-locked phone's bootloader after flashing the ROMs in question.

No I did not Re-Lock the Bootloader

Hello, Thank you for replying. I already tried that. I wont get the error, but my phone is stuck on Redmi Logo. I don't want to fix that error. I just want to get out of bootloop. Even after I press power button, I got stuck on Redmi Logo

bootloop also is NOT a real one.. if you read ( or see the screenshot i previously posted in another thread , you need to press POWER button.. press it even 2 times and be sure it's going to load your phone properly !
i was in the same situation at begin and it's not a real bootloop
( and if you load vbmeta you won't even get that message/bootloop at all ! )

Hat ihr Telefon schon repariert? Wieviel wurden Sie bezahlen? Mein Telefon ist wie Ihr Telefon defekt.

Has your phone been repaired yet? How much would you pay? My phone is broken like your phone.

You must have Minimal ADB and Fastboot installed in your PC.
After installing it, open it.
Write exactly the command line above.
Connect you phone via USB while is in FastBoot Mode*, with your PC.
* For FastBoot Mode on your phone, Turn OFF your phone.
Press VOL Down & Power Button for some secs together.
** Not sure if this is necessary ,but before doing all these, you have turned ON Developer Options on your phone. (search google how to enable Developer Options)
OEM Unlocking Checked & USB Debugging Checked.
Press Enter and you're done.
For me it worked!

Mi5 dead! please some ideas!

Hi all,
I going to tell you the complete story and any ideas orsuggestions will be appreciated.
I bought my mi5 in July. It came with a fake ROM but Ichanged it to OFFICAL GLOBAL STABLE .
Since then, I used the device perfectly fine, and follow theMIUI forum regularly.
Then in November I applied for betatesting Team and theyaccepted me. As my bootloader was still locked, I tried option one from abovetutorial, so I directly downloaded in my phone the GLOBAL DEV ROM and Ichoosing the package I started using Nougat for about a month, more or less.
Then, the tragedy happened. I was in a bar, having my phonein my trousers back pocket, and I set down that way. One minute, no more. Thephone´s battery was around 70%. When I realized I quickly took it but it wasnot able to turn on… Nothing pressing power volume + or any combination… I came home and let it charging all night (wallcharger) and nothing the morning after.
I tried to connect it to my PC but nothing happened in the screen, but pressing Power Volume+ the Windowsdevice Manager recognized it as “Android phone”, so after reading some threads about bootloader issues I decidesto flash it. I requested permission and then flashed it with the latest CHINADEV version. The flashing was completed, but the phone still not turningon. NEXT STEP: Local Technical Service.
They had my phone during a week. They tried to change thescreen, nothing, the battery nothing, and I don’t know which other tests theyperformed but they called me back to tell they were not able of doing nothing.
Having the phone back at home, now I was not able to get thePC seeing it as Android phone again. Nothin. Desperate me, I continued to read in internet and found in XDA a video where basically, you open the phone (remove back, and some screws),short two pins, and the PC is able to see it through the Qualcomm USB driversin EDL mode. Then flashing IS POSSIBLE. That is true. I am able to flashing, and I have tried CHINAs, GLOBAL, older ROMs about a dozen. Always the flash processsucceed, but the phone still not turning on.
After flashing I let the phone the whole night plugged inthe PC usb. Nothing
Now is plugged again to the wall charger, but nothing.
There are many threads with different solutions, so guys, please, anyone with a good idea to try??
Many Many thanks in advanced

Read this and
Use only the versions mentioned
this device is just a chinese junk i regret bought it , just after 2 days i bought it got hard bricked .
anyway flash 7.2.4 and if phone didnt boot use 3 button ( up + down + power ) for 1 minute or more and it must boot , it did work for me .
I just got brick yesterday and followed those instructions. It really worked. I was finally able to flash china dev 6.11.10. Latest dev said just "missed hello packet".
MiFlash version 2016.04 and china dev 6.11.10 was right combination for me. I connected Mi5 to PC while pressing vol- and power buttons, then I released them. I opened miflash, selected rom and chose "flash all". Flashing was completed. I tried to power on my phone pressing power button but nothing. But when I pressed vol- and power, I was able to get to fastboot mode. Rest is history. I flashed TWRP, booted to it and flashed LineageOS again.
Hope it works for you too!

Yup..it's weird thing...i suspect there's a hardware issue too..
But anyway..did you already tried to flashing fastboot rom with QFIL (qualcomm tool) too..?, if not yet..just try it..you can follow tutorial from this youtube here , just bypassing the step for installing any driver if your phone already detected as qualcomm port in your pc.
I try this method to get back my friend Mi4c from dead with condition like this too..just edl or qualcomm port while connect in device manager, then after flashing with this tool..i've try to power on with vol up + power and repeatedly vol down method above..then mi logo appear.
Hope your phone get back turn on soon..

You can try this official global stable fastboot rom that's still based android 6.0 here
If above direct link doesn't work..just visit this link , then choose "Xiaomi Mi5 Global Stable or China Stable Version Fastboot File Download..
If getting error while flashing..just put extracted folder of fastboot rom in the root of your system..ie C:\[folder_fasboot_rom]
Hi all,
After a million tests, now the phone is able to go to fastboot mode easly just pressing power&volume- (even having a black screen...) Any idea to see if this is still worth to fight?

Just try typing command "fastboot oem device-info" to see the status of your bootloader...is it still at unlocked or already relocked..?
If still at unlocked state..you can flashing fastboot rom with miflash tool.

3: download the latest dev rom from here: http://update.miui.com/updates/v1/fu...ni&b=X&r=cn&n=
4: Extract the files to C:\
5: Open MiFlash & point the folder to the root ROM folder, example: C:\gemini_foo_bar, NOT C:\gemini_foo_bar\images
6: connect your phone & select flash all (1st option from the left, bottom of MiFlash tool)
This might take a few tries (example - you might receive "missed hello packets)
Once you're done, you can stay with the China Dev, unlock the bootloader & flash a xiaomi.eu rom, or CM.
Good luck.

Mi9 Global - Accidentally locked bootloader and stock in recovery/fastboot

Hi,
Recently purchased a Mi 9 Global version, got the OTA update to MIUI 11, and everything was well. It is a superb phone, but I like to have root on my phones (mostly for Adblocking and System2, better control overall). I tried to install TWRP (custom version for Mi9) because I wanted to install Magisk/Root or try a different rom eventually. Anyway... I made a huge mistake. After trying to reboot, I noticed things had gone wrong, and was stuck in a boot loop. I guess I panicked and tried to flash the phone back to the latest global MIUI rom (Version 11, Android 10, from official site), using the Xiaomi Flash App but I did not uncheck the "clean and lock bootloader" checkbox on the bottom right of the app, which is somehow enabled by default. The flash failed at that time, for unknown reason, but it seems like it succeeded in locking my bootloader, with an empty partition, except for fastboot access and Mi Recovery module. I have to admit I've always been pretty lucky with all my previous flashes on other devices, and I guess I got a little careless. That was pretty stupid of me, in retrospect.
Since then, I am stuck in either Mi Recovery or Fastboot, and it seems that my originally Global Mi 9 with unlock bootloader has now a locked bootloader. Any attempt at either using the Xiaomi Flash utility gives me an error message ("Erase boot error"), and if I boot into Fastboot and try to flash TWRP, I get the "Remote:Erase is not allowed in Lock State" error.
From what I understand, my options are pretty limited now. The phone is still powered on, stuck in Recovery mode and rebooting every 5 or 10 minutes by itself (probably a way to avoid screen burn-in?), but I can't seem to be able to shut it down in anyway, as there are no fastboot commands to send a shutdown signal. And no matter what button combination I press, the phone always ends up rebooting.
I tried the Xiaomi Unlocker utility, but it needs the phone to be out of recovery to check the credentials binding the phone to my account. All data on the phone has been wiped already, so that's not an option. Two options I have seen :
1. Open the battery cover (required a heat gun and risky), to short some pins and try to flash while there is a short to circumvent the security. I'm not that brave yet, and since the phone is still running and has probably about 80% battery, I don't want to use a heat gun on the device.
2. Shady stuff involving paying 30 or 40 Euros to a random guy who can somehow make everything work magically by remotely logging in on my computer via Teamviewer (Not happening in a million years).
I'm wondering if there is an alternative, other than bringing the device to an official Xiaomi store (I'm in Bangkok and they do have one official shop at Fortune Town), but even then, I don't know if they'll just tell me I got myself an expensive paperweight.
Any help/insight regarding this issue would be much, much appreciated!

Every possible combination on reboot will either bring me to Fastboot or Mi Recovery. I have wiped the data partition, there is no OS on the phone as of now.

Xiaomitool V2 is completely useless. The "My phone is bricked" option is not implemented, and I cannot boot into the OS, unfortunately.
To enter fastboot mode, long press the volume down key and the power key. Then unlock bootloader with Xiaomi app.

Yep, but it has unlock option in the normal mode and it use scripts made by tool developer, so it worth to try.

From what I understand, the "normal mode" needs the tool to be able to access the OS while it's running. I don't have an OS. I will give it a shot tomorrow (3 AM here, exhausted, and don't want to boot into Windows again!), but my hopes are not so high. Anyway, thanks for the help, much appreciated! Will let you know what happens! Cheers!

Unfortunately, this is not true. I have downloaded an old version of Mi Unlock (2.2.406.5), which is supposed to work with Fastboot mode. The result is "Couldn't unlock --> Please download the latest version". And the latest version needs to access the OS to verify the Mi account credentials. I don't have an OS installed. So this won't work. Thanks for the suggestion though!

If you can't access on your recovery... It's bricked. Are you sure to have flash the good ROM ? When you have this problem, it's due to a bad ROM flashed or corrupted Data / Download (Bad CRC/MD5) flashed under MiFlash on Fastboot Mode.
1/ Try combinaison : POWER + "-" or POWER + "+" with 5 seconds press
2/ Plug your Phone on your computer, launch Xiaomi Unlock (show device ? Locked/Unlocked Status ?)
3/ Plug your Phone on your computer, MiFlash (show device ? Locked/Unlocked Status ?)
4/ Plug your Phone on your computer, try "XiaoMiTool V2" for trying Unbrick

Yeah, I wouldn't endorse it but you can only get someone like that to fix it. Also, try paying half at the start and rest in the end cause ya don't wanna get scammed

Listen, I would like to thank you for helping me out Brother. I was able to reach out to the person you recommend, however he took a few hours to respond back to be. By the time he did I already had some I found on YouTube do for me remotely as well. Only chargers me $40 US. Im pretty sure I would have been able to haggle him down but figured it was a fare price. He also was kind enough to flash the globle 12.5 ROM as well. On that note, would you know if I'll be able to receive OTA updates? Or will I have to install TWRP RECOVERY and flash the new updates when they come out.? Thanks again for your help brother.

There's no such thing as "bricked" in 2021... even if you have to flash it via EDL, still not bricked.

I had same situation on Redmi K20 Pro. You'll need to flash it using Mi Flash with a dev account via EDL.
And after flashing global rom, never neeever NEVER lock it back when not having chinese rom on a chinese phone.
You are in edl mode, you can flash this rom :
Official Engineering Firmware for Mi 11 : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1quyYpwV8IkZxnICZ2PEBXduuarxemlBI/view?usp=sharingi reupload this for you, tell me when you have downloaded it. Flash it with mi flash, let the phone boot, reboot in fastboot and flash the rom you want.

Thanks you for the EDL firmware. I will download it and just in case I'll ever need it in the future. Plus I'll keep you in mind if ever I need help in the future. Honestly, I never had such a hard time reflashing a device stuck in bootloop. I've flashed so many devices in my life time but never came across such a difficult device to repair. More thank likely I'll be sticking to OnePlus. Much easier.

Question Hard brick

PLEASE HELP!!
I just hard bricked my wife's new Redmi Note 10 Pro!
I bought the Chinese version and got the bootloader unlocked, and then tried to replace it with the global Rom from the official website.
In the process I kept receiving an error: "Mismatching Image and device error ".
I followed a couple of tutorials and this particular seem popular, where I had to delete some lines in the .bat file.
After that the flashing process started but halfway an error appeared again. After several attempts I decided to restart from Fastboot mode, and this was when I realized it had bricked.
Now I can't go to Fastboot mode and I keep getting Vibrations but a dead screen.
PLEASE HELP

When you flash things (usually boot.img) it will lock it again
just check and confirm if its still unlocked
plug in your device and do adb reboot bootloader

unfortunately for me my screen wont come on
Usually Its just stuck in engineer/ edl mode
So not to worry but try flashing using sp tools
Put your phone on charger for now
Then
If your phone not getting recognised by pc, unplug and wait for a 6-10 seconds and plugin again or plug in and hold Power+ Volume down or up button till pc recognises it, this will be handy later
here's a guide to flash via SP tools, or you can follow a youtube video to guide you along step by step

Question Please help! Device stuck on "DM-Verity Corruption" @ Redmi Note 10S Indian Version

I was trying to update Indian Version 13.0.3.0.SKLINXM TO Global Version 13.0.8.0.SKLMIXM downloading Fastboot ROM but unfortunately several tries failed with "flash super error (remote check sparse crc')" via both i.e., MiFlash & direct clicking on "flash_all.bat" but nothing worked & after a while it rebooted on its own & stuck on "DM-Verity Corruption screen.
Unfortunately, neither it is booting into Fastboot Mode nor into Stock Recovery now...... help would be grateful.....
PS: This is not the first of time when i'm flashing & using a custom rom so i know basic know-how about it....

First of all It had happened with me several times 5 days back. It is the issue of some of the fastboot roms .I also flashed my redmi note 10S to 12.5.5 global because it was too much buggy in miui13 India version.
All you have to do is :-
{If your bootloader is unlocked
you may skip this steps}
1. unlock bootloader instantly from MTK tool using a pc .Watch videos from yt
2. Download 12.5.9 fastboot global rom It is error free { I am on this rom }
Then flash it using miflash tool
Then you may update to miui 13 from OTA itself

Trust me Himanshu bhai, i have been trying this since yesterday..... it seems to an end to me now.. phone not letting it into fastboot or either into stock recovery..
I think You dont have an unlocked bootloader .
Does it continuosly restarts without any instructions given to it ??
Do you have a PC available ?
And yes one more thing That Dm verity error goes off when you press power button and the system boots to your miui rom ( if your flashing was successful

Come on man it is charged... btw complete message says as follows:
=================
dm-verity corruption
Your device is corrupt.
It can't be trusted and may not work properly.
Press power button to continue.
Or, device will power off in 5s
=================
This is the problem, no matter what i press it reboots & continue to flash this message as shown in previous video, whether or not i press power button..
however, i have observed that PC is deducting phone merely for some seconds when screen goes completely off while auto reboot.... highlighted in picture
You must press and hold power button and volume down quicky as soon as the screen goes off while auto reboot.
My problem was not this fatal . Still I was scared as I was doing it for the first time .
