I think so, but I don't think there will be any roms soon or in the future due to all the custom roms closing after a few months.

TWRP will be ready soon for Galaxy A71 Snapdragon (USA & Canada models)

It looks like TWRP will soon be ready for release for the Galaxy A71 Snapdragon chipset. I'm not sure yet what all models it will cover but I have it on my A71 5G SM-A716U and it is working great thanks to afaneh92 who has developed a lot of TWRP versions. This of course needs to have the bootloader unlocked to root and install. More info here:

Is there anything that I can do to help with the development of the twrp for the A71SM-716U
That would be a question to ask afaneh92 although I think he has it handled but he may ask for you to test it as I don't believe he owns this model. You may want to PM him here or get Telegram and get his link for Telegram in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...unlock-for-samsung-us-canada-devices.4215101/
Also just saw a note from him on Telegram that he is putting final touches on it so I expect in the next day or so he will post it in a new thread on XDA - I assume it will be in the A71 sub-forum on Recoveries.

follow a guide on the process, there's a format of the data partition involved for bootloader unlock, for magisk and for internal memory encryption removal.
if you want root without TWRP follow this guide https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
if you want root AND TWRP visit the kernels recoveries and roms section, see afaneh92's TWRP thread for snap dragon.
read and read again until you've got a rough idea what you need to do. make sure you've got everything you'll need before you start.

Hey bro, idk if you will read this but i really need help with rooting an S20 FE Snapdragon. I was decided to buy an S20 Plus Snapdragon, SM-G986U, I was ready for purchasing it but just days ago I noticed in many forums here that S20 Snapdragon couldn't be rooted, only Exynos based in, so as the S20 Plus couldn't be I thought S20 FE would be the same, but reading all the replies here I think I have a hope now. I want root because I play Fortnite Mobile and root allows me to unlock 90 fps on any device. I really hope you can help me, of this depends if I purchase a new phone or not lol.
I thought u could please help me in root process of S20 FE or maybe S20 Plus if it's possible.

what country are you in ?
if you're in the US or Canada you won't be able to root now sadly. in other countries the FE with snapdragon or Exynos can both rooted
HOWEVER... if you want a 90fps refresh rate then NONE of the FE models support it, the hardware physically cannot do it. it's 60 or 120 nothing else.
Is there root for SM-G781U1/DS? It's an unlocked S20FE using Verizon.

Samsung mostly sells snapdragon flagship phones in the US and Canada, they're only locked because Samsung does what the US carriers want. but Samsung also only usually sells the snapdragon versions of it's phones in America, Canada and Asia. people think all snapdragons can't be rooted but that's not true.
if you buy a snapdragon Samsung from outside of the US or Canada you'll be be able to root it. if you buy an FE in the states you WON'T be able to unlock it, it's all about where you buy the phone.

[SM-G781B/DS] Remove Unlock Bootloader Warning

Hi,
I am using Samsung S20 FE 5G (SM-G781B / DS) rooted.
I am looking for, how I can remove the warningns when starting the phone ( unlock bootloader warning screen and info about unofficial software ).
I have tried the solution from this page, but it doesn't work on this model.
Do you have any ideas on how to do this?
Remove Unlock Bootloader Warning on Samsung Galaxy S20/S20+/Ultra/FE
In this tutorial, we will show you the steps to remove the unlock bootloader warning screen on Samsung Galaxy S20/S20+/Ultra/FE devices.
www.droidwin.com
The how to is literally in the guide above, you are just flashing an image file to the phone to over write the one with the warning message.
the FE version is for the 4G Exynos
Hi.
I understand, but for the S20FE 5G model (SM-G781B) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, this tutorial does not work.
Odin uploaded the file ( via AP ) is Failed.
The FE version is only for the 4G Exynos? And with android 10 or 11?
you might have to manually copy the image file then via root explorer, but you will have to research where etc.

actually it has been looked into by a couple of guys recently, the bad news is that control over bootscreens on snap FEs is from the bootloader.
there's no way to modify the bootloader and then to get it signed again, removing the warnings is almost certain to never happen for snap Samsungs.

Question What sub model of Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is best for installing alternative OS?

Greetings everyone.
Advice is needed for the following situation.
It is time to buy a new cell phone.
My research resulted in Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra. The idea is when the phone is no longer supported by Samsung company ( it seems it is 2025) , to install different OS and keep using it.
Three questions:
1. Is this idea possible & practical?
2. What are the pros and cons of installing different OS in this case?
3. What submodel of Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is the most appropriate for the above mentioned exercise?
Located in USA.
Thank you
Regards,
D.
When you say install a different OS, which Operating Systems would be compatible? Something like a Unix type OS? It's going to be Android, that's it. You're not talking about a pair of shoes. Thinking what you might want to have in a device after 2025 is pretty speculative, right?

Lineage OS is supported on any S21 but to install it you'll have to aquire a device with an unlocked bootloader. Preferably a new device, if a used device has been updated the bootloader is likely locked. To me it's not a practical solution, you'll lose a number of features once the bootloader is unlocked plus the Linage OS doesn't offer security updates. The only real plus for Linage OS is you'll have an Android device without all the Google add-ons. The S21 has fewer issues than the S22 and I would recommend you avoid Android 12 on any new device.
Understood and thank you.
