Will an Apple MagSafe charger wireless charge a V60? - LG V60 ThinQ Accessories

I finally had to give in and downgrade my LG V20 to a LG V60 (at lease it is not a Samsung).
The Apple MagSafe charger says is supports Q1 charging. The LG V60 says is supports QC 3.0 charging. I assume these are not compatible? I know there is nothing on the back of the LG V60 that will line up with with the magnets on the MagSafe charger!... but if you lay a V60 on a MagSafe charger will it charge and charge safely?
Thank you!

The V60 is Qi charging compatible, therefore it will work with apple MagSafe since that also uses chi. It will not magnetically attach but it will charge. QC 3.0 is a wired fast charging standard made by Qualcomm.

Wireless Chargers

I'm going to be picking up the s7e in the next week and was wondering if anyone can recommend wireless chargers they currently use or have used in the past. All other Qi chargers are so much cheaper than the Samsung branded counterparts.
Also is there a big enough difference between the wireless fast charger from Samsung and any other Qi wireless charger that makes it worth buying?
Currently looking at the following:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Well th normal Samsung charger is free in the Samsung Pay promo (I don't think it applies to the UK), but it will charge slowly compared to a fast wireless one. I will have mine soon to test out I reviewed the Choetech 10W fast wireless charger below and graphed the charging speed compared to the stock quick charger. Samsungs fast wireless charger is only 10W from all accounts not 15W the phone supports. 10W wireless charging is still fast (see my link below), but any qi charger will work. I wouldn't bother with 1st party ones unless you get a good deal on one since wireless chargers from 3rd parties are just as good or sometimes better.

Yes it does, if you want to see how fast it charges with QC 2.0, Standard wall charger, fast qi, and regular qi you can read my charging test here.

VOOC and DASH Charging Accessories

Based on early reviews of OPPO's VOOC which is the OP Dash charging system, this seems far superior to any QC or even iPhone charging system on the market. By taking the heat out to the actual charger block @ around 20 watts over 7pins it is faster and cooler than QC2.0 and cooler than Moto's QC2.0+.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAS76EZ87dc
Even OP's Dash looks identical to OPPO's VOOC
http://www.oppo.com/en/accessory-vooc-car-charger
I would like to categorize what is available on the market for Dash/VOOC.
(OPPOstyle.com is slightly confusing if it is real or just a showroom)
VOOC Charger: $49 http://na.oppostyle.com/vooc-flash-charger-us-plug
DASH Charger: $19.95 https://oneplus.net/dash-charge-power-adapter
DASH Cable: $14.95 https://oneplus.net/dash-charge-type-c-cable
Combo Cable+Charger: $33
VOOC Car Charger: $49 http://www.oppo.com/en/accessories/in-car-flash-charger
DASH Car Charger: $29.95 https://oneplus.net/dash-charge-car-charger
VOOC 6000mAh Brick: $48 http://www.oppo.com/en/accessory-vooc-power-bank
Would be great to see other manufacturers buy into this system, hopefully OPPO can license it.
Super MOOC is on the horizon.
Wrong links? You are showing a micro usb from Oppo instead of USB-C

Oppo doesn't use USB C to my knowledge. But valid point.
20 amps? I guess you mean 20 Watts = 5V * 4A
60% in 30 minutes, awesome. Since I have several QC chargers at home, it will be interesting how slow charging will be with those.
I really want the Dash car charger, but €45 (charger+cable) is a bit steep IMO.
Edit: according to their AMA, there will be no licensed dash chargers. So we'll have to get the expensive ones from OnePlus. Fair enough.

Im hoping all my QC chargers will work fine as well (expecting around 1:45 to get close to fully charged), ill be swapping between a G5 and the OP3 and do not really want to have to keep changing chargers
Its 100% secure you can use the Oppo chargers and works like Dash?

They are not interchangeable as far as quick charging goes
QC2.0 wall charger will drip charge the OP3
Dash/VOOC wall charger will drip charge the G5
Where Drip Charge = the 2.1amp limit of the cable.

Yeap, that is what I am hoping it does. 2amp is sufficient enough when I swap phones. Once I pick the DD i'll use their respective quickcharge adapter
Is there a adapter that works for oppos microusb vooc charger to usb-c dash charging. That would have been great since I already have 4 VOOC chargers but the cable is non removable from the charger.
Actually they are the same thing;
Here is the offical reply on Weibo

DASH is a technology from OPPO just like VOOC .
They (DASH/VOOC) are just different brand.
I'll upload an OxygenOS V3.1.2 for OP3 (the stock rom) as soon as possible.
I've just got it from the OFFICAL BBS in Chinese.
www .oneplusbbs .com/thread-2782858-1-1.html
(I can't send a regular url,cause I'm new on XDA.) QAQ
They are the same thing, but the specification allows authentication of the components. The question is, did they lock out VOOC in Dash?
Well all of VOOC is USB micro for now. So it is physically locked out, but I think you could use the actual charger block with a DASH cable.
Also hope that VOOC Charger will work with DASH.
But since the OP3 started to arrive at customers, maybe someone can test it?
I'm really interested in the car charger and the VOOC bank.. specially if the cable on the bank is swappable
Has anyone tried to use a different USB type c cable, a third party one?
the Oneplus 3 cable is too short for my needs. i will order one soon to try but would like to know first. thanks :good:

Third party cables actually don't work with DASH.. if think it needs time..
Tested the oneplus 2 1.5m USB C and it's not working with DASH charging.. It did charge but not at fast speeds.

i did think it wont work, i guess we all have to wait a bit, all phone companies should release phones with 2m cables out the box lol
Yeah I really want a longer cable. 3ft/1m doesn't cut it for me.
So I got the phone and an additional Dash charger+cable. What confuses me is why are the 2 cables different? Round vs Flat.

Power cable

I've bought a cheap cable for my Huawei P10 (also type C) but it doesn't work on my new OP 5T.
Is this common or rare. If i need an other cable should it be an OP cable then?
Question first: which Charger do you use?
Dash Charger only works with Dash Cable.
Other Cables do fine with normal Chargers like Choetech Anker or Aukey
the sooner one plus just adopt the generic USB_PD or even Qualcomm 4+ the better. DASH is too niche. My QC 4+ Razer Phone charges as quickly as the OP Dash

Xiaomi 10W wireless charger - can't get fast charging to work

Hey people,
Anyone got this charger(picture below) and managed to get fast wireless charging working? I've tried it with the original Samsung power adapter+cable and it didn't work, it's just charging at 5W. There's a video on youtube where you can see a previous note model using fast charging, so I don't think it's false advertising. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caRtqv27tPY&feature=youtu.be&t=242 , the red cable doesn't fast charge, the black one, supposedly the one that came with the qi box, does fast charge).
Also someone mentioned in another thread that the previous Samsung adapters worked but the note 9 doesn't for some reason. It's very confusing, so maybe someone has cracked this.

I fast wireless charge mine using a Ravpower Wireless charger, it does indeed charge at the 10W it's rated for, I've confirmed with an inline USB power meter.
To be able to use fast wireless charging, I have it connected to a QC 3.0 port on a multi port QC charger and it works fine. Not near it currently, so can't test with the Samsung charger. Do you have any other QC chargers you could try?

No, sadly the only one I have is a OnePlus dash charger and this one only uses 5V (you need 9V for fast charge from what I know), so it's just charging at 5W.
But yeah I'd really appreciate you trying it out, since what I need right now is just any adapter that might work.

Just tested and I can confirm, the Samsung charger did not work, I just got the Wireless charging message. Connecting the wireless charger back to it's normal port and I get "Advanced wireless charging".
Although my Wireless charger claims to support QC 2.0, I can't think of any reason why the Samsung QC 2.0 charger wouldn't work.
Using wireless charger BW-FWC5 + wall adapter BW-S6 in QC port, both from blitzwolf and i have fast charging.

Well I'm not familiar with all the details behind wireless charging so I cannot really tell, but thanks to both of you, I think the issue is now resolved on my end. I'll either just buy the blitzwolf adapter or try with another QC3.0 adapter.

EU SuperFlash Charger?

Anyone knows of any EU charger that uses the Super Flash Charge? Have a USA version with adapter now, but is bulky with the adapter
I have a 65W laptop charger with USB-C and tried to charge the Nex3, but it was just charging normally.
Emailed Vivo and they said only to use the charger that comes with it (obviously...)
Hi,
Your laptop uses USB-PD(USB Power Delivery) while your phone uses SuperFlashCharge which is another proprietary standard. SuperFlashCharge is probably backwards compatible with USB-PD to 15W. Vendors build their own standards to implement better thermal control over the process.
It would be nice everyone to use the standard USB-PD so we can have an "ultimate charger" in our backpack but this won't happen very soon. :/
