[Magisk Module] Enable RAW capture for GCam - Samsung Galaxy A30 Themes, Apps, and Mods

This Module enables RAW Capture on the Galaxy A30, and changes the camera Hardware Level from Limited to Full.
RAW Capture is required for most GCams to work.
For information about GCam, go to this thread. It's for the A20, but contains useful information.

How does it work?
It works by replacing the library located at /vendor/lib/libexynoscamera3.so with an edited one. For reverse engineering enthusiasts, here is the patch applied to the library.
Prerequisites
- Magisk v20.4 or newer
- Android 11 vendor and kernel (Not compatible with versions of the Eureka Kernel older than 9.0)
Installation
Install as a normal Magisk Module, through Magisk Manager or TWRP.
Troubleshooting
Camera doesn't work, shows Black Screen
Make sure you are using a compatible Android 11 kernel and vendor.
If this issue is happening after updating your firmware, please let me know.

Yes, it works with AOSP.

What kernel you recommend to use in gsi ROM with this module?

I don't know much about kernels for the A30. In my A20 with an Android 12 GSI i use stock kernel with some small modifications (dmverity disabled, MTP fixed for AOSP, etc.)

bro, you can enable 60fps FHD record for our devices?

Wow, that seems like an promising approach ! Keep up the good work.
Any chance the patcher can be extended to Galaxy S10/20/21 ? or is that a completely different topic ?

Probably, I would have to check their libexynoscamera3.so library.

On the stock rom it probably does.
For the S10/20 on LOS only standard and wide lens are accessable whereas the telephoto is not.
On the S10 for LOS 17.1 I therefore had a patched "libexynoscamera3.so" as well granting access to telephoto lens via gcam.
However for LOS 18.1/19.0 or even for my new phone the S20 I was not able to find any patched libs anymore since nobody took the effort of reverse engineering it as you did.
Would you be willing to make the necessary adaption for your patcher to successfully enable raw on all lenses for LOS 18.1/19 on the S10/20 ?

Technically, yes. However, in the A20 enabling RAW in the Android 10 library makes the camera freeze after some seconds in apps like GCam.
If you are willing to test, i can do it, maybe the A30 doesn't have the same issue.

Bro will this mod work for Galaxy A30 (Android 11) ??
Edit: I'm sorry....for a moment I thought this mod for A20.....Sorry again.

Yes, only on gsi or Oneui3.1 ROMs.You need ROM with 11 vendor

Version 2.1 of the module released, the biggest change is that there is no longer a need to change the Black Level in GCam settings, so GCams (or other camera apps) that don't have this option should now take photos without pink tint.
Full changes can be found here.

That's not really helpful. What is happening to make you say it doesn't work, black screen? What ROM are you using? What kernel? What vendor, the one that comes with the ROM, stock Android 11 vendor or a custom one? What camera apps did you try?

FreedomOS or Resurrection Remix

I'm a new 3T owner who got my phone just a few days ago (came from a Nexus 6P). I decided to load the FreedomOS rom initially because I was curious about OOS. Overall, I'm fairly content, but a few of my apps haven't worked correctly (e.g. Accubattery and Xfinity WiFi). I was curious about Resurrection Remix which, I believe, is based on Lineage.
I'm a bit apprehensive about loading a Lineage-based ROM primarily because I think I read something about Lineage not supporting some of the 3t's features (fast charging?). But after searching I can't find the thread I thought I read those warnings....so maybe I imagined it? Can anybody provide any clarity on if that's even an issue?
I'd also like some feedback from folks who have run the official RR Rom. Any downsides? Any benefits over FreedomOS? And the same question to FreedomOS users who have used RR...any feedback on why you prefer FOS over RR?
i'm on freedom rom right now wiht xceed kernel, loving it, i woudn't do AOSP or LOS based roms because you'll loose the camera functionality and manual mode

They have, but no other ROM will have the same quality than OOS-based ROMs.
You can try this ported stock camera if you are using LineageOS: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/port-oxygenos-stock-camera-cm-t3451721
Remember to flash "HAL1 Enabler for LOS(and based on it): LineageOS" also from the same page.
Not sure which things are working and which aren't, some says that 1080p 60fps videos are not, but atleast I was able to take the video with that ported camera app, not sure was the outcome really 60fps.
Can't test any more of it for now, went back to H2OS 7.1.1 beta

I dirty flashed it over OOS 4.03, everything seems to work fine, since Google apps were already there. I'm using Nova Launcher myself, can't spot any difference except language, since I was using finnish before, but there is english of course to choose.
Remember to take backup with TWRP if possible before flashing it easier to go back if you don't like it or something goes bad.
Edit.. seems that OOS 7.1.1 open beta 3 is here! http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_openbeta_3/
Well, if you really want 7.1.1 for OOS, you can just flash their Beta released today.
I'd say you should go for FreedomOS for now. All of the LineageOS and AOSP based roms have a buggy camera due to the buggy Camera HAL3. Only the ROMs based on OOS have a fully functional camera. You can also try out the OOS Open Beta 3 released earlier today, its based on 7.1.1

Yeah, I think I'll probably stay put on FreedomOS unless I discover another OOS-based ROM with a dedicated dev. Resurrection Remix looks nice, but a buggy camera would be unacceptable for me.

Best Android 11 ROM and Gcam?

I have tried PE 11 beta already. But the kernel causes issues when flashing Viper4android.
So, which is the best Android 11 custom ROM according to you guys? Does Viper work without breaking wifi? Also, which GCam works perfectly in Android 11?
my current ROM is https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-11-0-raphael-lineageos-18-1.4176901/
I don't use viper, so IDK if it works, and I use

Btw I don't think viper works with android 11 yet no sure tho.

Nice. Viper doesn't work properly. Breaks notification and call sounds. Also breaks wifi sometimes if it's stock kernel. Thanks for the GCam link.
So, do you use any sound mods?

Currently the best a11 rom based on miui vendor will be Evolution X AND WIFI will break on perf kernel u will need to flash any other kernel for it to work.
Gcam i use Urnyx's 7.3 v2.5 as it works as a good replacement for anx camera and doesn't has lot of things to tweak around simple and easy gcam but with less features.

To be precise, there is no need for custom ROMs because of GSIs and Treble-Support.

There is documentation on https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki. PE is not officially supported, but there are PE GSI Roms maintained by others and because these are GSIs, they basically don't really need official support.

Galaxy M31 GSI

I am using Samsung m31, Exynos 9611, this phone is Project Treble supported. Does anyone tried GSI?
As it is running on exynos any chance?
Yes, it runs. I am currently using Corvus OS on M31s.
Install TWRP as mentioned for your device and then follow this guide

So your device supports Project Treble, what does that mean for you? It means you can flash a Generic System Image such as LineageOS or Resurrection Remix! Enjoy AOSP-based custom ROMs! Here's a guide on how to install these ROMs.

PS - Only Corvus OS allows SafetynetBypass. I have tried it on phhussons GSI and haven't been able to pass safetynet. Even dabbled with magisk hide prop config. Wasn't able to achieve anything.

Yeah, you might encounter some unstability. But overall experience is really good. The phone is responsive most of the time. You could try if you want to see what it is. I haven't gone back to Corvus, ever since Android 12 update came, so maybe the new firmware might have added some fixes.

Yeah, I'm fascinated by the responsiveness of the corvus os. And this new android stock update is eating up more RAM. And I feel one UI 4.1 is not good as 3.1.
I'm thinking of weather to switch to gsi or not.
For long usability, what do you think will be the better option?
Switch to GSI or reset the existing stock rom user data?

Have you rooted your phone? If you have, give the GSI a try. If not, try following ONE UI Optimization guide on xda itself. Then, decide, whether you want it or not. I use slightly debloated ONE UI 4 rooted and with certain floating feature tweaks and build.prop tweaks as well. It has given me good mileage, but not as much as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, when I installed Superior OS A12 on it. But it will be definitely better than factory.

What modules to improve system performance pls my system is slow and laggy
arrow gsi ndklite version by default is not laggy.
for my experience the most import things to do the best flsh gsi is:
start from the most compatible stock miui (i have choice lastest EEA for me)
flash system direct into slot a WITHOUT ERASE SYSTEM PARTION
i have do this and now my system is fast and smooth
the module is aosp enhancer, but i think it work fine only under a system good optimized by default
After many attempts, I think I have found the best procedure. Or at least the one that satisfies me the most

for my experience the most import things to do the best flsh gsi is:
start from the most compatible stock miui (i have choice lastest EEA for me)
flash system direct into slot a WITHOUT ERASE SYSTEM PARTION
i have do this and now my system is fast and smooth
the module is aosp enhancer, but i think it work fine only under a system good optimized by default
After many attempts, I think I have found the best procedure. Or at least the one that satisfies me the most
