Question EU GDPR - Factory reset possible? - Realme 8 Pro

Hello,
is there a way I can achieve a factory reset?
I've obtained the phone of my stepmother which has passed away some weeks ago.
Now we wanted to factory reset the phone so that the phone at least can be used. No need for custom ROMs or something..just a factory reset is needed.
When we turn on the phone it requires the PIN, which we don't have.
The phone gives no option to do a factory reset, the only possible thing we can do is to enter a PIN. Even the "password lost?" button does absolutely nothing.

For the GDPR you must have a bootloader unlock option or flash the original rom via MSM (paid) service.
Please try This file it contains 2 programs, but guess GDPR it won't work try it at your own.
One is Oppo special tool , works in EDL
Second is Factory Reset in Edl Mode for REALME 8 PRO
Both programs are working in EXPORT versions.
Looking back for feedback.

Try it :
Secrecy unlock first :
Unplug USB cable from phone
Dial *#8778#
On rooted phone on or on uid=1000 :
adb shell am start -n com.oppo.engineermode/com.oppo.engineermode.manualtest.MasterClear

i'm with the same problem, phone is locked and im a newbie. how can i unlock? google recover doesnt work and to wipe data need the password. Ver. RMX3081_11_A.30

Have you tried all 3 ways ?

i tried oppo special tool, it recognizes as Qualcom HS-USB QD loader 9008 (COM3) but the process only lasts 5 seconds and nothing happens. and when i use the other tool, i receive this output

. and secrecy unlock, the USB debugging is not enabled, even if it was I don't know if it would work because the phone has that option of just starting after putting the password enabled.

For the original GPDR version all things won't work. On EDL it won't work also.
This output was from the witch program ?

the version is EXPORT. and the output is from the second program. Factory Reset in Edl Mode for REALME 8 PRO

Hi, thank you very much for sharing,
Feedback - 2 different phones, export "old"A24:
1 phone bootloop after upgrade system error after format and the other kid's password forgotten, password requested in format recovery options, so no secrecy unlock or adb, or oem or fastboot options, not available, only edl.
and both tools do not work, at all.
1.Factory Reset in Edl Mode for REALME 8 PRO: "That antivirus blocks because of the forced browser links"
2 Oppo Special tool: recognizes port, cpu type, and data, but it does nothing, in any option, and crashes most of times afterwords.
Take care.

Need help flasing Paranoid Android - All TWRP'd up

Hi all! This is my first attempt to flash a custom rom and I'm stumbling. Summary below:
DEVICE AND SYSTEM:
Xiaomi Mi 6X
Running MIUI 11.0.6.0(PDCCNXM) (based on Android 9)
Device bought in China in 2018, not used until now, only updated through Xiaomi OTA.
Mi Unlock status - Unlocked
Developer options unlocked
USB debugging - activated
Phone not rooted.
Phone has no lock screen password set.
FILES TO FLASH:
1. dm-verity anti-rollback flash:
no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip
2. Paranoid Android custom ROM:
pa-quartz-5-wayne-20200924.zip
METHOD
I'm using Google pltaform-tools (https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools) + TWRP files (https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomimi6x.html) and command prompts in adb and fastboot.
WHAT HAS WORKED SO FAR
adb devices OK - cmd shows hexa key
adb reboot bootloader OK - phone enters fastboot
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img OK - cmd shows Finished. Total time: 1.504s
fastboot reboot (holding recovery key combo to avoid entering automatic MIUI recovery) OK - TWRP loads
Then the problems start. TWRP shows:
Mount
Decrypt Data
Enter Password
and no password in the realms of man or heaven works. by clicking cancel as a workaround several mounting problems appear:
THE ISSUE
Since TWRP can't decrypt internal storage, I can't find the zip files I copied to the phone's memory.
Googling around I found the OTG option and tried it. But as it turns out it's also impossible to mount OTG (on Mount, the option for OTG appears but clicking it does nothing)
Googling more I found out about abd sideload, but TWRP fails to start the feature (on Advanced -> ADB sideload -> select Wipe Dalvik Cache + Wipe Cache)
Also googling intensely I found that by wiping the memory (on Wipe - Format Data - write "yes") then reentering recovery it was possible for TWRP to enter a decrypted mode. after doing this no password is required but both OTG and ADB show the same problems as before (and of course the internal memory files are no longer there).
As a summary of my woes, this is what I've tested so far and the results:

}
Assorted tests with older versions of TWRP have exactly the same results.
After every wipe I have to set up MIUI11 again, open developer optios, allow USB debugging etc. My fingers hurt. Morale is low. My soul is leaking. Any ideas on where to go next? Is this some unfixable incompatibility between TWRP and MI? I think I've exhausted the paths I can find by just googling around like a progressively more hairless maniac noob.
TWRP sucks for mi 6X. Download this one (OrangeFox Recovery) and everything works fine.To install it extract the zip and flash the recovery.img that is there. After that reboot to recovery and if it still asks for password just ignore, go to menu, manage partitions, clik on data, click on the button that will show, then format data and type yes. This will clean every partitions (It's the only way i found to fix encryption since our device doesn't support sd cards)Then download the Rom you want to your pc and then copy to your phone storage and install it. Good Luck.

How to block bootloader on xt1799-2

I will try to describe exactly what I did. I warn you that if you want to repeat this, then do everything at your own risk!
Original message
1. The cleanest installation possible
We do a COMPLETE cleanup and format the DATA in TWRP not lower than version 3.4... then reboot into bootloader and connect to the PC with a good cable. Run Fastboot on the PC in the command line in turn enter the following commands:
fastboot devices
fastboot erase all
fastboot reboot bootloader
2. Install motoXT1799-2_GLOBAL_2021.02.20_oreo.zip
Use the firmware from here: motoXT1799-2_GLOBAL_2021.02.20_oreo
3. Install Magisk
The latest version of Magic-v22.0.apk must be installed and Magisk-v22.0.zip
4. Go to the developer menu
In the developer menu, we give permissions to unlock the OS bootloader, as well as give permission to debug via USB.
5. Run adb Fastboot on the command line
The phone must be connected to the PC via USB. We enter the command adb devices on the smartphone, a dialog box should appear to allow debugging this device or something like that, respectively, we give permission.
Next, we reboot into the bootloader with the command adb reboot bootloader
6. Blocking
Previously, we copy the stock recovery.img to the folder with adb Fastboot
Enter the commands:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastbo fastboot flashing lock
We reboot into the system.
7. Delete Magisk as unnecessary
To do this, go to the program select delete see two items select first "restore partitions or something like that" then delete.
8. Do a factory reset
If everything is done correctly, we get a device with Oreo Android 8.1.0 as if it came out of the factory.
