Accessories Any back cover or skin recommendation for Redmi Note 11T. - POCO M4 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11S (Opal), 11T (India)

I need a good case or skin for the back of my Note 11T, I'm frustrated that it gets so many scratches!

Try mobile skins from Gadgetshieldz, it is good as I'm using it for a few days now. The quality of the skin is good and it holds more than a year on my previous phone.

Does this skin hold for that long? I ordered one from Wrapcart and it didn't hold even for 5 months, it scratched more and my previous phone back is visible and also it started peeling off soon.

Yes, the skin holds for a long period cause I've used it on my previous phone for almost one and half years. Wrapcart skins are plastic made so I hate them and it peels off easily but Gadgetshieldz phone skins are made from 3M Vinyl material which is sturdy because I've used it and it feels good on hand. Check out their website, they've mentioned it!

Thanks for the response Steve, I'm going to buy this mobile skin for my Note 11T and the quality is good as you mentioned it lasts longer than I expected. Also, I ordered one now and it is affordable too!

Best Skins Ever

I've had my BSE screen protector for about 2 months. On the positive side the cut is very precise and if you're experience with installing wet apply protectors it's quite easy.
The material itself is a bit grippy and definitely not as smooth as dry apply protectors. Initially the self healing properties of the skin were reasonable. However after 2 months every small indentation from pressure being in a pocket remains permanent. My screen protector is now super ugly to the point friends laugh at it.
I wondered if this was normal or just unlucky that I got a defective batch. I contacted BSE and they told me it's just normal wear and tear. I was definitely a bit surprised that this is normal for 2 months of use. I've never had this with any other protector I've used.
The other factor that made me want to try this brand was there 5 star review on their site. Out of 6 reviews every reviewer gave it 5 stars. I recently tried to post my honest review on their site and low and behold my review, less than perfect, was not published. Now I see why the rating is what it is. Deceptive marketing.
In the end the company offered me a replacement out of 'goodwill' if I paid shipping. They then sent me a bill for $3 which doesn't sound like a lot but their shipping cost is way less since it's just a standard letter.
Overall, I would not buy another BSE product since they develop permanent marks after 3 months.
Will post a picture when I have a chance.
here's a picture of the bestskinsever after 2 months.
Jesus Christ, that is ugly.
How much did you pay for the screen protector?
I've had some issues with glass screen protectors but I'm now using a "cheap" alternative I found on Amazon that's identical to the £40 glass screen protector I initially had that I messed up when installing. I only paid £11 for a pack which includes a film protector for the back; however all glass screen protectors have SOME sensitivity issues and I've had it with this one too, but it's not too bad.
However I don't use my edge screen in the extreme corners. (I am also using a case which affects this).
Just an idea as it's relatively inexpensive.

I agree, it's far from pretty. It was $8.99 USD.
Be carefull when purchasing DBRAND skin
I ended up with 2 pcs of back skins(carbon and matt black)
Too bad their ads on XDA has been taken down. I can't prove anything now.

Wow, that is bad. I have had my bestskinsever film protector for almost 2 months and it looks nothing like that. I do have a couple of small marks, but its smooth for the most part. Are you putting it in your pocket with keys or something?

I generally carry my phone in my pocket but almost always there is nothing else kept in the same pocket.
Had my BSE front and back protectors on for 3 months and still look brand new. Bought them for my S7 Edge after having a BSE protector on my Galaxy S5 for 2 years and it still looked mint after all that time.
Had mine for at least 3+ months, looks nothing like this, I don't know how you managed that. Certainly the best normal screen protector I've ever used. Only issue is the case cut works better with some cases than others, but that's no fault of theirs.

I've used many brands of wet-apply protectors. All have been used the same way. None have ever looked like this. I was just surprised that BSE described it as normal wear and tear so I suppose this is what they expect after a couple months.
I haven't used a liquid apply screen protector in years. When I used them, they were new tech for phones, were sticky, and often had an orange peel look to them. And they got deep impressions in then from other objects in your pocket.
I loved them at first, especially as a total body skin. I eventually switched to the plastic PET protectors because they felt smoother and slicker, but attracted fingerprints. After that it's been nothing but tempered glass screen protectors.
Now that I'm using the S7E, I've gone back to the liquid application screen protectors. After research, I settled on the Yootech from Amazon.com for $8. I put one on my wife's phone first about three weeks ago and have been very impressed with the fit, feel, and clarity. She keeps her phone in a pocket or purse and I haven't seen any marks on the screen. So last night I put the same protector on my phone, and am again very impressed.
It isn't as slick as glass, but nowhere near as sticky as the old Zagg and similar liquid install protectors. My finger glide over it very easily and smoothly, and the orange peel effect is nearly non existent, unless you look at just the right angle in the direct light. And it doesn't attract fingerprints. I wouldn't say it's oleophobic, the prints just don't show up as much.
I say all that to say, my experience with these type of screen protectors is very limited, especially in newer brands, but if BSE isn't satisfactory, you may try the Yootech. I just ordered the BSE body protection set, so I'll be curious to see how it holds up.

No, no, no. Can't recommend spigen screen protector at all. Bought it one time and my corners piled off next day. Several months later I bought it again, thought that maybe they fixed something but i was wrong. Bought spigen second time yesterday, before it i was using best skin ever. So today i saw same ****ty piled off corners and ordered best skin ever again.
I don't understand how they are selling those screen protectors if from 4 times i applied them all times i got the same result. It sticks very nicely but next day corners starts piling off.
So in my opinion best skin ever is best choice for s7 edge.
i've been using an armorsuit wet apply one. it isn't glass but it much better that the BSE I had. Looks a lot smoother in comparison.

Skinomi Full Wrap review

So I purchased a Skinomi full Techskin kit about $13, to wrap the sides and back of my Note 8. The application of it was pretty simple, there are videos online for it, on how to do it. The only weird thing about applying it is it pretty much doesn't stick at first when you place the solution on it, then as it dries it gets super sticky right away out of the blue. You can be moving it one second, then it just stays and is almost completely stuck on. You need to press down the edges and all and it takes about 45 minutes or less, but just keep revisiting it to press it down more. The back was ok, got some cloudiness (which they say is normal for a day or so) and maybe a couple of slight bubbles but I don't really care, it was mainly to prevent scratches. Attached are the pictures of what it looked like when I got it, and what it is like on the phone. You can feel it for sure, not as smooth as it transitions from one part to the other, but again, I got it to prevent scratches. I did not place the screen protector on it, because I was putting on tempered glass.
In addition you will see tempered glass, which I actually surprisingly feel like its good. No loss of feel at all, it just doesn't go all the way to the edges but the edge features all still work. Its a Luuvvit one, which I bought from amazon for about $11.00
Looks nice. Beats what I have on mine right now. Mine looks like a high 5 year old did it.
Holy crap that was funny!
Sent from my SM-N950U using XDA Free mobile app
I'll actually post some better pictures tomorrow on it. Realized these are not as good as they were taken right after. I'm amazed how unnoticeable it is, really liking this purchase.
I have my skinomi ordered i put it on all my phones. Great protection from dirt and dust getting around case edges etc etc. Keeps them brand new looking
Ok here are some better daytime pictures and bubblesare gone now
And last one
I did mine too with a skinomi full body skin before putting it into my case. I always full body wrap every phone because.....Why not? Dirt ALWAYS makes it's way between a case and the body of a phone. The skin keeps the dirt off and keeps the body like new! The guy at T-Mobile didn't believe I had the S7 Edge for a year until he looked up my account!
Fyi I dropped it on concrete and asphalt literally over a hundred times.
I'm not using the skinomi screen protector though. My Zizo Bolt case came with a Tempered glass protector that seals on the edges, but I've been super impressed and will keep it on until it breaks. Zizo is an awesome company! No sensitivity loss and super clear. Also no rainbow or bubbling. Yes there's a small dot matrix pattern though ( UGH ) but it's not visible at all on the screen while it's on, even in the sunlight.
I had the bolt on my s7 edge too. I love the case and it held up just as good as any otter box defender which I've used on tons of other phones. Like I said, it's been dropped a lot! Lol
Oh and a heads up...... hit it with a hair dryer and let it sit a day before using any tight fitting case or you will peel it up as you put the case on. Been there and done that. Learned my lesson. I LOVE skinomi skins but I equally like the IQ Shield too. Both make good stuff. IQ SHIELD feels a hair less rubbery but both are great!

I always use skinomi screen protectors. Never got the full wrap since i always use a case.
My s8 plus, I have the skinomi screen protector and a rhionshield crash guard all works great together and the back of the phone doesnt touch so it never got scratched.
Order the same for my note 8. Im waiting for my crash guard to come in. probably at the end of the month, ill be caseless then then
And a tip is to lightly spray the phone. Then lay the protector on and push the bubbles out from the inside to the edge. Then run your fingers up and down the edges for a few minutes and it should stick. Then i let dry for 5mins and then rub everything again.
been doing that since the note 4 edge and has always work.

Trust me even with a case, use a full body wrap! It not only keeps dirt off but acts as another cushion for impact even with a good case. They are worth the money for our nearly 1000$ device lol

I did a blind test with my wifes phone before (she remove hers from one of her old phones. I believe the s7e)
You can tell which is skinomi and and which is bare. The bare is slicker.
But overall if its very smooth and people wouldnt know it was there. 100% clear and no gel or ruff feels to it. Ive been using them for years and to me there the best.
Also you can get a 2pack for around $7 ship so if one wears out you can just put the other one on.

SKinomi has been a weird brand for me. It gets decent reviews but sometimes people hate it. I always get Skinomi for all my phones, imported to Korea because they don't sell them here. I love how thick it is, compared to other "films", which means extra protection. I also like how after a while the solution just seems to have some kind of a chemical reaction with the film itself, and makes the film look very glossy and clear like .... actual glass. Once I get a Note 8 again, I will probably put dome glass on the front, and another layer of skinomi on top, and the back will only be protected by Skinomi. I swear by this stuff, it's in a different league from other films.

SlickWraps Alcantara Charcoal color!
I've been a dBrand user for the longest time and didn't even know this Alcantara and their Natural Leather series (which uses real alcantara and leather material to make the skins) existed. This has to be the best feeling skin there is!
Only thing negative about these is their price... got mine on black friday 60% off. They have 50% off this week also.

Looks pretty slick, how is the thickness of the alcantara skin compared to other skins you've used in the past?
I have Samsung's Black Alcantara case and I do like it, I just prefer the phone to be naked with a thin skin so this would be a good aternative
Brought this one from Easyskinz.com
It's there "GLOSS JET WHITE Skin"
It sticks well and is easy to apply but I would of liked a bit more of a shiny white. There's not really a texture to it either just feels like a sticker.
(It does come with camera, front, side cutouts too)

It's pretty thick so you won't be able to use a case on top of it, i don't like to use cases so this is perfect. It gives you alot of grip, the edges kinda feel sharp but i think over time they will soften up.
They're on sale and today is the last day i think.

As far as the bubbles, it's not that bad. I like it. But for the price slickwraps charges, I would not pay full price for it. Just seems a bit much to me for something like this. The vinyl sticker can handle a lot. When you do pop it smooth it out to push any air that is trapped. If you are careful when you pop the bubble it will help.

This thread can be used to share good accessories for the Honor view 10.
Anyone found anything good?
I just switch from Nokia 8 to View 10 because Nokia's camera is so bad, but I had a really good case on it., the official Nokia 801 Blue Soft Touch Protective Case.
Would love to find something the same style for HV10.
Golden Sands Case
Its a bit on the expensive side but worth it. I am using the midnight black version.
I just got this one:
It feels a lot nicer than the one that comes with the phone - more premium feel for €8.
Good fit around the camera's and buttons, bit more room around the headphone and usb connections so I can fit all my cables in - the stock one was a bit snug with one of USB cables and didn't keep connection if a slight movement.

Does that case protect the screen as well, or is the level with the screen?
I can certainly recommend this one: http://nillkin.org/smartphones-acce...-accessories/nillkin-huawei-honor-v10-frosted
The original silicon cover that's included with the phone doesn't protect the backside that well from hard objects in pockets, and since the aluminium back of the phone is not that sturdy as it appears to be, it seems better to have a hard case on the phone. I use it for a week now, and I am well pleased with how solid it feels now.

I got this MOFI case from AliExpress. Looks nice and feels good to grip. Makes the phone look premium.

It was very quick. It came in in 11 days from ordering. The second case from MOFi came yesterday. It looks even better. Seems to have the quickest shipping on these cases so far.

This is another case I ordered from AliExpress. Not as good as my MOFi cases but it's pretty good
Is the standard included tpu case level with the display or slightly raised to prevent accidents when dropping it flat face down on the floor?

I can certainly recommend this one: http://nillkin.org/smartphones-acce...-accessories/nillkin-huawei-honor-v10-frosted
The original silicon cover that's included with the phone doesn't protect the backside that well from hard objects in pockets, and since the aluminium back of the phone is not that sturdy as it appears to be, it seems better to have a hard case on the phone. I use it for a week now, and I am well pleased with how solid it feels now.

I had this case for my ZUK Z2 and it was EXCELLENT, I would strongly recommend it. The case is more like a 'shell' style but it covers all the corners and is good-fitting. I dropped my ZUK onto tarmac from pocket-height and the phone survived without a scratch, despite landing face-down on rough surface without a screen protector.
I'm actually thinking about buying the Honor View 10 and this case would be my first choice without doubt.

Paint issues with cover and screen guard

Hi Guys,
I ordered the sandstone back cover with the 5t as I read on the oneplus forums that the back cover that comes with the phone removes or messes up the paint. TBH the sandstone one sucks too. Is there a cover that does not mess up with the phone's body? Also is there any good tempered glass which can be applied even if there is a cover?
Thanks

Any case gonna do the same thing unless you clean you device regularly ( the dust goes inside the case through open cut outs and then the friction between phone and case mess it up even more) by taking it off the case. I personally do this once a day and it works for me. As for extra protection, get a dbrand skin for the back.

Thanks. Can you please share the link for that dbrand? All of my Samsung phones have GS protector but for the 5t they don't make it 360 degree protection. The pricing is same though

P.S. Should I keep on using the silicon cover that I got with the phone then?

You can purchase the dbrand skins from here.
https://dbrand.com/shop/oneplus-5t-skins
Go for the black-dragon if you're looking for some grip. Once you got it on the back, use any clear silicon case to provide some sort of drop protection as well. As for the provided silicon case, there's no harm in using it as long as keep your device dust free regularly.

Just checked that link, the shipping charges are almost double the products price. Did you check the Gadgetshieldz link that I sent? They both look similar.

Yeah i know that skinnova skins are quite cheaper but there so many reviews about them not having a great quality like dbrand. There's no mention of the use of 3M material on their site and personally I've seen its mahogany wood skin which looks like shiny plastic wrap. So basically it all comes to this end. If you want some premium quality and a great fit, go with dbrand else if you wanna save some bucks, go for skinnova skins. And don't go for the fedex shipping, you can get the untracked usps shipping to save some bucks on dbrand as well.

Untracked shipping will mean that it won't be delivered ever.

I've ordered dbrand skins with untracked shipping for two times and it usually got to me in less than 20 days in both the cases so i guess, not getting your parcel is highly unlikely. Plus I'd suggest you you to do the payment with paypal so your money is in safe hands.

Apparently both use the same material and adhesive
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/choose-dbrand-or-gadgetshieldz.730798/
The only difference between the installation of a protector and a skin is the application, the former needs a soap solution while the latter needs a hair dryer, right?

I get mixed reviews regarding the skinnova skins material quality and leaving a residue after removing the skins. You can check out the other skins comparison threads to get a even better idea. As for the application, yes a hairdryer is a must for the skin whereas a soap solution isn't always necessary. I'll be providing a more detailed review on the dbrand skin for the 5t once i get mine.
