#error1 #solution
my phone in fastboot mode is not recognized by mi_unlock_tool
For me it looks like as fastboot drivers dont work properly, adb seems to work fine
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>adb devices
List of devices attached
141a4895 device
for fastboot drivers pls, see attached file
SOLUTION:
1) Google for "Disable driver signature enforcement"
2) Update drivers manually ( see attached files )

Check adb drivers:
Connect device with booted ROM and type in cmd:
adb devices
--> If drivers are properly installed your device is recognized there
Check fastboot drivers:
Connect device in fastboot mode and type in cmd:
fastboot devices
--> If drivers are properly installed your device is recognized there

#error2 #solution
TWRP is gone after reboot

How to unlock, TWRP, root, etc from OSX Mavs - MacBook Air

somehow I managed to install the OTA MM update that I was holding off until I could unlock, root, blah, blah, blah.
I'm now on 20i.
And it responds to adb (v1.032) and fastboot commands from Terminal on my OSX MacBook Air.
Has anyone "authorized" (aka - fastboot oem unlock) their 811 and flashed TWRP from a Mavs Mac ?
Or do I need to go to my Bootcamp partition to accomplish?
Seems like to should work from Mavs direct, but …….
Bootcamp not needed.
system settings (tap on Build number until it says you’re a developer.)/developer/check oem unlock & USB debug
USB connect to Mac. I use Android File Transfer. I found it less annoying and very fast.
But it will not work with the LG drivers installed. aka LGUnitedMobileMacDriver_v4.23.zip, or LGMobileMacDriver_v5.2.zip, or LGBridge_Mac.dmg.
in Terminal:
adb devices - should reveal the devices serial - LGH811xxxxxxxxx. If not, your Mac and adb/fastboot are not set up properly.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices - should reveal serial again. xxxxxxxx
fastboot oem unlock - this will WIPE the G4s internal SD that comes with the phone.
fastboot getvar unlocked - to confirm unlock
fastboot reboot - and set-up as a new device.
If you're on MM, and you set it up previously, restore should happen automatically upon reboot, after you enter your google or ID, etc.
If it seems to be taking too long, restart.
Make sure you recheck that USB debug is checked in developer options.
and then to flash TWRP and SuperSu so as to root.
Terminal:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot (drag and drop the {I shortened the name of the file after duping} twrp.img into the Terminal window)
This will boot you into a temporary TWRP recovery. (v2.8.7.2)
Install twrp.img (select zip or img button bottom right)
Then install SuperSu 2.6.7.zip.
REBOOT SYSTEM
check root -
Terminal:
adb shell. should get #. if not - su. should get #.
troubleshooting.
May have to re-enter developer mode
sys settings/about/software/more/tap build number 7 times fast.
unplug USB.
Toggle USB debugging in Developer. Should get prompt about RSA.
re-plug USB
adb kill-server
adb devices
If TWRP isn't recognizing your b.u., write a new back-up. This creates the path TWRP wants to see. Copy your old b.u. into the new folder:
TWRP/BACKUPS/LGH811#########/2016-10-23--15-58-36_MRA58K
RenameÂ*the old b.u. the same as the new b.u. and toss the new one.
Reboot Recovery and you now should now able to to restore from the old b.u.

Make sure your drivers are installed correctly as shown above. When in edl mode the drivers are different than fastboot. Try reinstall the application with right click and ‘run as administrator’.
Do you know how to relock the bootloader?

It seems that there is something wrong with the drivers, or maybe the adb installation. Try to find other fastboot.exe and adb.exe then delete all duplicates except for "C:\adb", and don't forget to restart your PC.

Can't unlock bootloader - fastboot issue

Hello,
I am trying to unlock my bootloader but I my computer (Windows 10) does not recognize fastboot.
When I connect to fastboot (holding volume up button + connecting my phone by USB when it's off, or using the adb reboot fastboot command), the computer does not recognize the phone. I then tried installing drivers (both from Google and Sony) by going into device manager but Windows just doesn't install the drivers.
I then saw this on Sony's website:
Fastboot driver - Sony Developer World
developer.sony.com
So I download the file and pasted it instead of the same file (android_winusb.inf) in the Google driver folder, and it somewhat worked, but Windows said something like unable to find drivers for ADB.
I also tried to install in Windows test mode but to no avail.
No matter what I tried, entering the command fastboot devices in fastboot mode does not give me any output (not even "waiting for device").
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!

Question Mi 11 Ultra not detected in FASTBOOT

Hi Friends,
I recently updated the Ultra to MIUI 13.03.
I enabled "Developer Options" and enabled "USB Debugging"
Recently Clean installed Windows 11.
Extracted Platform tools downloaded from Android Google website.
but when i typed "adb devices". The device wasn't detected.
then i saw in device manager driver wasn't installed, so downloaded the MiFlashTool and
tried to install drivers in that folder through Windows Device manager, It installed "Android ADB driver" But still my device isn't
listed in ADB Devices
Please help.
Have you tried a different cable? I'm not teaching you to suck eggs but some cables are just not up to it.
Can you see the red fastboot logo on the phone?
Or try a different phone to prove its not your set up.

I'm able to detect device in "ADB Devices" when phone is booted into android OS, even the MiFlashTool also detects the device when phone in booted into OS.
But after i type ADB reboot bootloader, phone restarts into FASTBOOT, i can see RED "FASTBOOT" logo in phone screen but it doesn't get detected.
How come phone gets detected in ADB when Phone is booted into OS MIUI13 but not in FASTBOOT.
I'm on windows 11 .
I changed the cable also with a new Xiaomi cable purchased recently, still the same result.
You can never see a result to detect mi 11 ultra through ADB devices. Rest assured your device is already detected and ready to use. Even though can not see device address.
I had the same case. Make sure all the necessary drivers are installed.
At first mine was also not detected in fastboot. When I first ran MI Flash Tool, it automatically installed some drivers. And I also manually installed USB driver of MI 11 Ultra.
After that MI Flash detected my phone in fastboot.
A small suggestion from me: Use "Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools" for flashing. MI Flash was giving me, timeout error and my device got into fastboot loop. After flashing with "Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools" all went well.
hello, I also had this problem and to solve it I used the driver of Mi unlock which is at the level of the parameters and launch it in fastboot then connect it to the pc and the drivers must be installed
I had a similar problem with my Mi 10. Found via ADB but wouldn't show in fastboot. Tge way I solved it was to boot into TWRP recovery (assuming you have it) and then go to their reboot menu and choose fastboot from there. It will then put you into their version of fastboot and your computer should recognise the phone in fastboot mode.
I hope this helps

Adb and Fastboot is not the same thing!
If you're phone is detected in ADB, it means you have install the Adb Driver ( which more than probably is Google Driver or Xiaomi driver for ADB ).
In order for you phone to be in Fastboot do the following:
- Reboot to Fastboot and connect your phone to PC with original Xiaomi cable from the box
- Go to Device Manager > Other Devices > Android Device ( you will see a yellow sign, which means you don't have the Fastboot Driver )
- Download XiaomiMi11 Ultra Bootloader Driver.zip, unzip it
- Click on the Android Device with yellow sign > Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Select the Xiaomi Bootloader Folder
It will install the driver.
From here you're good to go!

Question Redmi note 10S not recognized MiUnlock

I own a Redmi note 10S having the MIUI EEA 13.0.5.0 installed on it.
I need or to downgrade toward the 12 or to upgrade with a Global 13.0.8.0.
To do that I have to unlock the bootloader.
I have tried to unlock my phone following the Guide
"Complete Guide to Unlocking the Bootloader: Announcement, Troubleshoot and Tips"
Xiaomi Community

Completely performed the "Step 1: Phone" phase
But I am stuck into "Step 2: PC" phase
I downloaded and launched the "Mi unlock" program, version 6.5.406.31
Updated the driver with settings option --> "click the button to install the drive"
Obtained the confirmation
"Mi USB driver installation
Installed drivers successfully"
But the program is still locked into
"Not connected to the phone" screen.
Note: With Phone into Fastboot mode the OS Windows 10, under device manager identify the phone with the icon
"Other device" --> "Andorid" with the Yellow Triangle with Exclamation Point inside
In addition with the Phone in Fastboot mode there is a continous OS disconnect and reconnect sound of the system.
An attempt has been made to solve the problem following the indication in
