[ROM][lavender][12.0] ArrowOS [OFFICIAL] - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & O

I don't know why nobody posted about this rom for Redmi Note 7, so I'll post about it.
I've discovered it randomly and loved it! It's one of the few maintained Android 12 stable roms out there!

Format Data

Without reboot, flash ArrowOS zip
Re-wipe cache and ART/dalvik cache
Reboot

I agree, I've been running their Android 11 rom for almost a year now and it's been rock solid.

I already have latest MIUI on my Redmi Note 7S. Do I have to Download and Flash MIUI again before Flashing ArrowOS ?

Hello
I had xiaomi.eu latest beta for Note 7.
So then I did the installation as the Installation guide says.
Now I have likely endless boot logo. I waited half or an hour, then I restarted the phone.
How long should I wait first time?
Is there any different different Installation method? Maybe?
I dont know please help.

Yes same happed with me too.
MIUI 12.5.1 India.
Endless Loop Arrow Logo.

I made it somehow.
I have changed the kerner to Predator-Stormbreaker-10.0-QTI.zip(For Roms with QTI Haptics like Arrow Official) (SourceForge Link)
And unfortunetly I had to make a internal data format to becouse of encryption
Then I did the install process but skipped the "Flash the latest official MIUI" part.
Why is this part in anyway?

Wipe Data and Cache, then use the Format Data function from the recovery (it's essential this part). Then you can flash Arrow OS.

So Wipe Data and Cache, then use the Format Data function from custom recovery but between these no System Reboot. Right ?

Exactly. Wipe, Format, Flash MIUI (if you haven't the last) and then flash Arrow OS. Only at the end of this you can reboot in Arrow OS.

There no need to flash miui first.
Latest global FW is enough i think

Good morning and good afternoon everyone, as a newly-signed Android Developer, I’m proudly to introduce my first ROM project ---- GoogleExtended.
What is GoogleExtended?
Basically, GoogleExtended is a Custom ROM currently based on Android P. The idea of GoogleExtended is to deliver the stock Google experience on variety of devices. The first device that supports GoogleExtended is Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. GoogleExtended is a ROM that you can use it day-to-day, experiencing Pixel-Liked purely stock Android, with Google features added in. Also, most of the GoogleExtended ROMs are rooted with Magisk, and with Google Product Sans installed.
DISCLAIMER: I’M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKED DEVICES, BROKEN DEVICES OR ANY KIND OF DAMAGE ON YOUR DEVICE. FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!
NOTICE: THERE IS CURRENTLY UNSUPPORTED BUGS AND FC (PROCESS SYSTEM NOT RESPONDING) ON 6GB+64GB MODEL, TESTED FUNCTIONAL ON 6GB+128GB AND 8GB+256GB MODEL
What’s Working?
• Camera (Including both front and rear cameras, also camera flash)
• HDR+ & HDR+ Enhanced
• Video Recording in 4K
• Panorama Photos
• Photo Sphere
• Lens Blur (Working but Over Exposed)
• Portrait Photos (Working but Laggy, actually takes good Portraits)
• Upside-Down Selfies (Because the Front Camera on Mi Mix 2S is at the bottom)
• CDMA Calling & 4G LTE Data (China Telecom Supported)
• Dual SiM Calling & 4G LTE Data (Re-insert SiM Cards if no signal)
• Root with Magisk
• All other essentials for a Smartphone.
What’s Not Working?
• Motion Photos (Sometimes works, most time stay useless)
• Slow Motion Videos
• “Search Settings” in Settings app
• Flashlight don’t work when battery is below 20%
• A reminder of "This is a preview of Android" shown upon boot (Due to the boot image and kernel is tweaked from Android P DP2)
• Actual Security Patch version not displaying in Settings (Actual Security Patch is from July)
• You tell me
If you found anything that is not working or have bugs, and that is not listed above, feel free to comment or reply under my post. Always remember, any feedback is good feedback.
How to Flash?
This ROM is not the same to most other custom ROMs’ flashing method, the ROM’s zip file is not a flashable zip, it’s a TWRP Restore Package. Please Google it if you don’t know how to Restore a TWRP Backup.
Your phone need to be unlocked, and you need a computer (Windows Recommended).
1. Flash the Base ROM via MiFlash.
2. Wait for MiFlash finished flashing your device and boot up to system.
3. Reboot to Fastboot mode and flash the TWRP Recovery.
4. Reboot to TWRP Recovery.
5. Do four wipes (Dalvik/ART Cache, Cache, System and Data)
6. Restore the ROM image.
7. Don’t reboot, continue flash the Camera Patch.
8. Reboot Your Phone.
9. Enjoy!
If you cannot find a Camera app installed after your device boot into the system, just simply install the Camera apk from the Camera Patch Zip folder.

Seeing as this is a twrp restore over the dev beta from may, we can't have high expectations of this working

Did you flash my base ROM before restoring the image? I tried on my device and everything works just fine. But it's still a alpha build, so I'll keep fixing the issues.

Yes... I forgot to mention, you need to do a full wipe though, after flashing TWRP. Just do all four wipes, dalvik/art cache, cache, system and data, then restore my package and try again.

This ROM is a combination of AOSP source, baseband from MIUI 10, kernel and boot image from the official Android P for MIX 2S, and some pixel features. The base rom is only for the kernel and the images/vendor.

The base rom that I uploaded is just the official Android P beta with some of mine tweaks. I didn't edit the build.prop because the system partition will be overwritten by my backups. The correct build.prop is shown after restoring my system.

TWRP is an open source, community project. A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom “ROM” like LineageOS or OmniROM.
Im not a developer of this, i just shared it here

Redmi 6a is A-only arm device. Which image did u flash...
Hey
Don't forget to format data before flashing TWRP
fastboot format userdata then Flash TWRP then boot into TWRP and flash magisk or no variety patch
First of all remove your password from stock if you setted it
If you setted pattern lock then It will encrypt data in TWRP
OR
Set pin or password
Coz pattern won't work
Enter into TWRP it will ask for password then enter your pass and decrypt data
Also Enable rm-rf option to format things from setting of TWRP
So you can wipe things after that
And yeh you can flash GSI too
Our device is arm not arm64
And A not A/B

I've flashed the recovery, tried to wipe, but "unable to wipe cache" / or system. If proceed install gsi, bootloop. Also tried the rm-rf option, wiped successfully. Proceeded to install gsi, rebooted and bootlooped. I tried both arm and arm64, A- only. Pixel exp. Android pie.
Tried to format data. But got this "unable to format data" , and something about encryption.
Don't know about you guys, but for now, I'm going back to miui 10.

Introducing you the best way to install new Android 9 GSI roms
We remind you that we are not responsible for damages caused by a bad installation, but read all the contents
For this to be possible, I advise you to have the device with Bootloader unlocked and already be using Treble recovery
WHATS IS KVT ?
KVT is a base for you to install any GSI (not sGSI) aonly 64-bit based on Lineage or Aosp on your Albus, keeping the main features independent of the chosen GSI image such as:
Double-twist to open the camera;
Chop-chop for flashlight;
Wave to silence;
Pick up to stop ringing.
In addition of course turbo charge, sensors, camera, fully functional radios, Fix Green Tint, Auto Focus, Front Camera, Volte, Check SafetyNet pass, Gcam by San1ty,
IMPORTANT: Volte fix, function properly enabled, but to work you need to install ims.apk
HOW TO INSTALL ROM GSI
*Install Treeble recovery
* Wipe System/Data/Dalvik Cache/Cache
* Install KVT 1.4 - Developer: davidsonsjesus
* Suggestion GSI Developer: NFound

But after reboot i have google play crash.
I really like project treble from google. But i cant find a easy way to update the roms.
Anyway thanks for the reply.
well, I already fail on getting to that treble recovery. GDrive says I have to request the permissions, but clicking on request just comes back with "message couldn't be send". Or is this the one meant: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904007189 ?
In that case you might want to update the link in your post
But do I understand right? When coming from stock, i have to
install treble ready TWRP
install GSI enabled 8.1 ROM
wipe system, data, cache and dalvik
install KVT
flash a Pie GSI ROM (Oreo kernel afterwards not neccessary because included in KVT?)
reboot
flash opengapps (why nano? won't the rest just work too?)
reboot to ready system
We know what this is missing...
Does this carry over features or are those features contained within it?
Not working bro I have tried havoc is and pixel experience.

The instructions are clear you do not need to install the room 8.1 since the function of the KVT is precisely to activate the functions that they specify from the beginning so that the Pie room works correctly
1.- install treble ready TWRP
2.- wipe system, data, cache and dalvik
3.- install KVT
4.- flash a Pie GSI ROM
5.- reboot
6.- flash opengapps (any gapps)
7.- reboot to ready system
Ok, interesting. I'm surprised because it's so small and flashing a full treble ready 8.1 ROM would be about 10x the size.
A question for the developers of this ROM. This ROM will continue to be developed, will there be update with the security Pach in the coming months? Thank you

You can update the GSI, if it gets security updated, you just flash the new GSI as system
Bro video calling is not working how to fix it ?
HackerZer0 said:
The instructions are clear you do not need to install the room 8.1 since the function of the KVT is precisely to activate the functions that they specify from the beginning so that the Pie room works correctly
1.- install treble ready TWRP
2.- wipe system, data, cache and dalvik
3.- install KVT
4.- flash a Pie GSI ROM
5.- reboot
6.- flash opengapps (any gapps)
7.- reboot to ready system

No. Didn't even stay on bootleggers, because it's horrible. Went back to stock, will try again in a few days. But in theory it's the same like installing it completely new, with the difference that wiping /data shouldn't be necessary and you might not need to install kvt again unless it's a newer version
works perfectly. i have no words to described how my his patch makes my life easy. thank you very much
it's working, but I think the used kernel could use quite some performance improvement. On bootup, the keypad for SIM pin and display unlocking are reacting extremely slowly and especially in the minutes after a reboot it can happen that half of the UI is pretty much frozen. You can open notifications and use the navbar, but it can't open settings or the recent apps view.
I'm not sure if it's a ROM problem but since they are perfromance issues they should be kernel related. (running Pixel Experience, since the ROMs seem all to be quite some halfbaked ****)

Best way is to flash latest fastboot ROM for your device, if you have PC. This way makes your device boot normally.
Cheers!

Hello everyone, thanks for your kind co-operation! I have successfully unbricked my phone by flashing global fastboot rom via laptop. But now i cannot flash arrowos. After installing twrp please guide me what to do. After flashing twrp i format data with 'yes', then flash dm-verity file, but later an error is displayed: "failed to mount /odm". What to do?

Start again with flashing via laptop. Then exactly go straight ahead the arrowos installation manual (not dm verity at first....)

Okay, so should i let it be without flashing dm-verity at any step? Also what about internal storage not visible in twrp? Its not a bother to me since i have all my files in micro sd card but still am concerned about this one.
Please check out the official steps by Arrow os. Iirc, the steps are to flash first, then wipe data.
Okay... after a long day of flashing many files across my device the whole day i have arrived to MIUI EU rom. My intention was to flash arrowos. When I flash arrowos zip file it shows an error:"unable to to flash zip" with the zip file directory next to it.
