Question vendor_hardware_overlay - POCO M3 Pro / Redmi Note 10 5G

Does anyone have the vendor hardware overlay for the POCO M3 Pro / Redmi Note 10 5G? It says here you can create your own with linux, but I don't have access to a linux machine myself.

camellian it's fully supported by phhusson gsi. i think vendor overlay is not necessary. but if you want to try the only way is linux. you can install in dual boot on you pc. it's easy

That wouldn't solve the problems with the screen brightness, then? If that's the case, it sucks because it's the only thing that doesn't work properly with the rom

has somebody check whether miui 13's vendor fixes the brightness issue?

I'm currently using the fix but in low light conditions the screen will still go blank sometimes. I'll wait for future updates, then

this phone not supported but note 10s
look this: https://github.com/phhusson/vendor_...pie/Xiaomi/RedmiNote10S/res/values/config.xml
The developer will get phuked because they add values for note 10 5g.

How to fix

https://github.com/iamverycute/brightness_fix
could you add on on your guide for flashing gsi

Does "wake screen for notifications" work for any of you? I'm assuming this is related to brightness bug. The brightness_fix app doesn't seem to fix this at all.

I didn't try gsi. But fingerprint settings and VOLTE are missing.
Do they available in gsi?

We don't have volte in my country so I don't know if it's working. Fingerprint is working though but there's a bug with the figerprint when the screen is on. Also, I can't seem to fix the overlay where the time is so close to the corner on top of the screen. There's also issues with the brightness at 1st boot. I didn't bother with it anymore and just flashed xiaomi.eu rom which I am using now.
No fingerprint option in Lineage OS 17.1.

Yeah now i don't know but there should be some modifications needed to boot gsi on this phone or maybe an older vendor might be required i am not sure but i have never tried booting gsi with miui vendors only v12 vendors and oss vendor probably will never boot any gsi directly
you need android 11 vendor from MIUI 12.5. Android 10 vendor are borked that you can't use it for booting GSI ROMs. Just download MIUI 12.5 recovery ROM and delete everything except vendor.

Galaxy M31 GSI

I am using Samsung m31, Exynos 9611, this phone is Project Treble supported. Does anyone tried GSI?
As it is running on exynos any chance?
Yes, it runs. I am currently using Corvus OS on M31s.
Install TWRP as mentioned for your device and then follow this guide
How to flash a Generic System Image (GSI) on Project Treble supported devices
So your device supports Project Treble, what does that mean for you? It means you can flash a Generic System Image such as LineageOS or Resurrection Remix! Enjoy AOSP-based custom ROMs! Here's a guide on how to install these ROMs.

Can you explain how you installed corvus os on m31s?
Thanks in advance
Installed TWRP as mentioned in the forum.
Followed the steps for TWRP way of installing GSI in the link of my precious posts in this thread. Normally, boot into the GSI. That's it.
PS - Only Corvus OS allows SafetynetBypass. I have tried it on phhussons GSI and haven't been able to pass safetynet. Even dabbled with magisk hide prop config. Wasn't able to achieve anything.

Also, no GSI provides stable experience for long term as the stock with root. I am now running stock on my M31s as I need a working phone for use.

Ok, do we have any bugs with corvus os?
Yeah, you might encounter some unstability. But overall experience is really good. The phone is responsive most of the time. You could try if you want to see what it is. I haven't gone back to Corvus, ever since Android 12 update came, so maybe the new firmware might have added some fixes.

Yeah, I'm fascinated by the responsiveness of the corvus os. And this new android stock update is eating up more RAM. And I feel one UI 4.1 is not good as 3.1.
I'm thinking of weather to switch to gsi or not.
For long usability, what do you think will be the better option?
Switch to GSI or reset the existing stock rom user data?
Have you root

Have you rooted your phone? If you have, give the GSI a try. If not, try following ONE UI Optimization guide on xda itself. Then, decide, whether you want it or not. I use slightly debloated ONE UI 4 rooted and with certain floating feature tweaks and build.prop tweaks as well. It has given me good mileage, but not as much as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, when I installed Superior OS A12 on it. But it will be definitely better than factory.

Don't expect VoLTE on exynos on any GSI. Calls work OK.

Is that this fixes the brightness slider?
for me magisk fix module+suggested pphsettings with Arrow gsi VNDKLITE solve problems. also Volte works fine. no lags. for me this is the best gsi. with magisk i have added a couple of tweaks that have ulteriory emproved the sytem performance. i'm happy after one year to be reswitched to android. sure my next device will be a pixel (like 6A)

What modules to improve system performance pls my system is slow and laggy
arrow gsi ndklite version by default is not laggy.
for my experience the most import things to do the best flsh gsi is:
start from the most compatible stock miui (i have choice lastest EEA for me)
flash system direct into slot a WITHOUT ERASE SYSTEM PARTION
i have do this and now my system is fast and smooth
the module is aosp enhancer, but i think it work fine only under a system good optimized by default
After many attempts, I think I have found the best procedure. Or at least the one that satisfies me the most
